Never have I ever had specific feelings for a specific someone?

Wait up, let me think. No.

Though still, I have had a boyfriend back on the Isle, but I don't talk about that. Not to anyone. Not even to the ones that I can trust.

And no, he doesn't count.

Maybe he looks at me like that, like he could... you know, love me. He pays attention to me, and he always tries to find an excuse to talk to me. Whether or not I'm busy, or I'm at my locker.

But he could never, right?

He's a friend. Nothing more.

Enough! No more 'him'.

But nonetheless, he was playing Tourney later anyways.

I stood a few meters away from Mal, clutching the straps to my red and beige backpack.

I looked towards the purple-headed friend of mine chatting with the soon-to-be king.

That's not chatting, that flirting. My inner thoughts said.

I saw as the other three sneak up closer to Ben, Jay behind him meanwhile Evie and Carlos are a little closer behind to Mal than the prince.

I tiptoed behind Mal, hearing part of their conversation. Only part of it.

"Hey, Mal." I held her shoulders and peeked to see her reaction.

Not long after Jay came around and stood behind Ben, grasping his shoulders.

"How you feeling... bro?" He said, a grin his face as he did.

"I feel... I feel like, like singing your name." And there he goes. I widen my eyes as he starts 'singing' Mal's name out loud. "Mal! Ma─"

Oop.

At last, Mal covered his mouth with her gloved hand, muffling her name that was supposed to be suplng.

I heard Jay whistle as he took a long look at the cookie they baked. Yes, they.

I was there, yes, I almost didn't do anything but watch.

Not a minute later a certain boy, who I had met with earlier came strolling our way. "Hey, guys." He greeted, putting on a charming smile as he always does. "Hi, Sam."

"Aryan." I say, a small smile curling itself on my lips as I met his eyes which had teeny flecks of golden sparks in them.

"So, uh, I need to borrow Ben for a minute."

"Yeah, sure. Go on."

I exhaled a long breath when he grabbed Ben by the shoulders and walked away with him. I felt like I had been holding my breath at the moment. Those same ten seconds he had been there, with us, the VKs.

I spun on my heels, a lit-up look on my features. Acting like I wasn't flustered whilst Aryan was here earlier.

The others behind me were chatting normally, obviously only normally after he left with Ben.

But, without my knowledge someone here was a little jealous. Jealous of mine and Aryan's relationship. A friendly relationship that built over this week.

I didn't even realise that I had been in my thinking position, ─ a stance where when I am thinking a little too deeply while standing up. Evie nudged me in my ribs, getting a little squeal out of me.

"What?"

She raised an eyebrow at me, and fired a glance towards where the boys were, who were leaning by the steel railing to my left.

I followed her glance, she was looking at Carlos. His fingers were curling into his palm, his knuckles were almost white.

I was sure he was faking the smile he had, while Jay laughed at a joke he made.

My gaze went back to Evie, she had her arms crossed over her chest while she gave me a look that said; "... "

Honestly, I don't even know what in the Merlin Academy she was saying to me.

"And?" I said, acting clueless. My furrowed brows stayed knitted with confusion as I stared deep into her eyes.

"What do you mean 'And?'." She whisper-yelled, "He's obviously jealous."

"It's not obvious to someone not looking closely." I cocked an eyebrow right after those words came out, I then crossed my arms. "And don't get any ideas, he's not into me. He's just... a friend."

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that."

I'm not going to stop telling myself that.

     It was Tourney time.

Okay, that's just full-on weird.

But it was the Tourney game, and as much as I hate to admit, Jay was doing great.

Don't tell him though.

Most of the students there were standing, cheering like there was no tomorrow. And no, I wasn't eyeing Aryan the whole time.

Well, not ogling at least. But my mind was somewhere else most of the time. Racing through different reasons why.

Why?

The same goes for Carlos, was he jealous?

I was so deep into thinking, I almost didn't watch half the game.

I sat while the other girls around me stood up, yelling and cheering for the Knights. We were tied with the Falcons, Auradon's team rival. We were tied, Falcons with two and Knights with the same.

My ears were probably bleeding from having to hear the high pitched screams of girls around me. And it seems I was not the only one.

Cheers boomed around me as I sat up straight, getting myself a better look. They won. They actually freaking won.

"Mal!"

She closed the opening of her ears, gripping the sides of her head, barricading the loud sounds, cheers, yells and... well, a lot more.

"Mal!"

She met my gaze, as a very familiar voice took over the microphone.

"Excuse me, excuse me can I have your attention please." Ben. All voices went silent, watching as their soon-to-be king suddenly grabbed the microphone out of the announcer's hands.

"There's something I'd like to say." He paused and looked around. Ben now stood on the red and yellow thingy, that seems useless to me. "Give me a M!"

"M!" The crowd yelled.

Okay, prince Benny Boo. I thought while smirking. You are deep under the spell, right now.

"Give an A."

"A!"

"Give me a L."

"L!"

"What does that spell?!"

I saw Audrey's face falter as he yelled into the microphone. Mal.

"Mal!" The crowd yelled back, as Maleficent's daughter rolled her eyes.

Now this is going to make my day.
