A faint knock was heard before the door was opened. A woman with h/c hair and green eyes stepped into your room, it was your mother. She was allowed to visit late at night with special permission.

She had a small frown on her face as she approached you. "Was that Kirishima you were speaking to?"

You didn't want to look into her eyes, you didn't have the courage to. Your nod was the only response before a sigh was heard.

"You're only going to hurt the poor kid, y/n. Look, I know it can get lonely here but stop for his sake."

"He makes me happy, mom." You were gripping the white sheets from the bed you were now tucked in. Tears were threatening to spill out any second. "I've been in this damn hospital for months! Please let me live the short time I have left in happiness."

Your mother's gaze softened once you began crying, your weakened state, the cause of her tears.

She walked over to your side, enveloping you into a tight hug. "Oh, y/n.. I'm sorry."

Your cries echoed throughout the lifeless looking room, both of you clutching onto each other. It was an emotional night, a restless one. Each day was more of a struggle to fall asleep, but you knew exactly what that meant.
