A large banner saying 'Private sales' hung over the doorway, the blight twins, Edric and Emira, guiding them in, now and then pulling a prank a sign that said 'Hex me' appeared on one of figure's backs, the two chuckling at the mischief.

A spotlight shone on the stage as the crowd gasped, two cloaked figures standing on the stage as one of them spoke, clearly a female as her purple lipstick shone in the light.

"Welcome! Valued Investors, to our annual..." She then ripped off her cloak, her blue eyes staring at the crowd with a wide grin. "Blight Industries Private sale!"

The figure behind her tried ripping off his cloak as well, only to collapse as the cloak pulled him down, falling with a thud before getting up, abomination stains covering his outfit.

"If you're interested in reliable home security, we're here to help!" Odalia Blight announced, her showman side showing. "And if you've got an enemy or two, well, who are we to judge."

The crowd laugh when she winked, waiting for the laughter to die down before she introduced the man behind her.

"This is my husband, Alador Blight!" The man nodded slightly, looking very sleep-deprived.

"The greatest abomination creator of the era! My name is Odalia, and as an Oracle," She placed her hand on a purple gemstone necklace around her neck, the gem lighting up as she held it. "I predict you'll love what we've got in store for you tonight!"

"We're proud to present, the first glimpse of our crowning achievement, the Abomaton soldier!"

A very bored looking Amity soon was on stage as a platform came up, a long with a soldier by her side, the crowd clapping at the performance.

"It will pour your tea!"

The green-haired girl held her arm out as tea spilled out of the tea-cup in her hand.

"Help you keep up with the latest trends!"

The abomination sprayed hairspray as it snipped at Amity's hair, the girl's face caked with make-up as the sides of her hair was shaven, a ponytail sticking out of the side of her head.

"And best of all! It will defend you against any unwanted visitors!" Odalia announced, the abomination and Amity both in a defensive stance across one another.

"Mama to Mittens," Amity's eyes widened as her necklace began to glow, the girl hearing her mother's voice through the jewellery. "Remember our deal. Make this look good and we'll forgive your recent lack-lust of a performance in school."

Amity sighed before frowning, looking at the newest creation.

"Yes, Mum."

The abomination slammed a fist down at the girl, Amity jumping back slightly as she spoke as monotonously as possible.

"Wow, it's so fast and strong." The girl then jumped back as she called out, "Order now."

The crowd began to clap in amusement, the scale on the 'units ordered' chart going up as Alador yawned, Odalia smiling in satisfaction, the abomination then wrapping a hand around Amity.

"Oh no, it's undefeatable. How will I ever escape?"

The girl placed her hand on her cheek in boredom, before noticing a piece of paper slip out her sleeve, the girl gasping as she realised it was the photo of her friends and Luz in Grom, the girl's eyes widening as the abomination's foot hovered over it.

Gasping, Amity used her magic, splitting the being's arm ins half, soon destroying it once she hit the ground, the monster collapsing as the crowd 'awed', then making negative comments about the creation.

The green-haired girl ignored their comments, walking towards the photo as her mother rushed onto the stage, the crowd dissipating.

"A-AH! B-But of course!" Odalia stuttered, humiliated by the performance. "That was b-but a B-Beta test! W-We can't wait to see you all next week when we reveal the... uh, the finished product in all it's glory!"

Once she had seen the crowd leave, Odalia punched her palm, glaring at her daughter who held the photo dearly, smiling at the image.

"AMITY!" She yelled out, a few strands coming loose of her bun. "You just lost us a LOT of money! What's with you lately?!"

Odalia's eyes widened, noticing the image in her daughter's hand as she frowned.

"I see... looks like our precious Mittens has been getting... distracted."

Hooty knocked his head against an upside-down cauldron, pretending it was a school bag before Luz announced, having a presentation with her glyphs.

"Light! In the darkness! A glittering bridge of ice! The mightiest tree in the forest!" She grinned widely. "You can make all these, and more, with glyph magic!"

The girl held out a piece of paper with the glyph symbol on it, smiling excitedly.

"Welcome to day three of Luz's magic bootcamp!"

Fire glyphs from besides the girl ignited, King screaming as he was awoken from his nap, running off.

Lilith clapping in excitement as her cheeks were flushed, Eda scratching something into her desk.

Luz pulled a cloth away, revealing a blackboard, all four glyph symbols written down, Luz walking in front of it.

"Okay, so far we've covered every glyph I've learned up until now, so today, we'll learn something new!"

"Are we about to encounter a never-before-seen glyph??" Lilith asked enthusiastically, her sister still focused in scratching her table.

"Un... fortunately, no." Luz crossed her arms before pointing to the blackboard. "These four either came from nature or another witch's spell. I-I don't know where to find more."

The two sisters looked at one another with wide eyes, before Luz started speaking again.

"In any case, today we're learning how to alter glyphs to do specific things." Luz flipped the blackboard around, new diagrams shown as she held a hand out, Eda returning to her carving while Lilith raised her hand.

"Uh Ms. Teacher! Did I do it right?" Lilith held out a sheet of paper, the exact same diagram from the blackboard on it.

"Yeah! That's really good!" Luz complimented, Lilith fist bumping the air as Luz walked over towards the other Clawthorne.

"Let's see how you're doing Eda!"

A fire glyph and ice glyph were carved into the table, both intersecting as she lifted the knife, Luz looking at it wearily as Eda smiled down at it.

"I-I don't think that's such a good idโ€“"

"Double glyph combo, GO!"

She slammed her hand onto the table, the two symbols flickering before sparks began to come out of it, soon exploding as Eda and Luz turned away, wisps of smoke still coming from it.

"Oh dang, I was hoping for more of an ice-blast situation." Eda responded with her hands on her hips.

"I know you're impatient to get your powers back," Luz responded, smiling softly at Eda. "But try to master the basics before you start experimenting."

Eda scoffed, crossing her arms as she muttered under her breathe, Lilith squinting at her sister with a frown.

"You're as boring as Lilyโ€“"

"TOOT TOOT!" Hooty interrupted, both Clawthorne sisters looking at him with wide eyes as he smiled at Luz brightly.

"The hexide train is a-coming! CHUGGA CHUGGA!"

"Uh O-Okay! Uh King's in charge while I'm gone! Bye!!!" Luz waved as Hooty picked her up by her hood, bringing the girl to school.

King laughed as he stood up.

"HAHA! POWER!"

Lilith continued to work, smiling as she did so until Eda stood up from her exploded desk, cheering.

"Yes! Teacher's gone!" She then rubbed her hands in mischief. "Hmm, I wonder what other combos I can try..."

"Teacher said we're supposed to master the basics beforeโ€“"

"Basics are so basic." Eda responded, brushing her sister off with a wave of her hand. "If we wanna be powerful again, we're gonna have to start thinking outside the box!"

"If we want to be powerful again," Lilith stood up, trying to changer her younger sister's mind. "We have to use glyphs perfectly! And we can only do that through memorisation, repetition, and following the rules!"

Lilith held out flashcards with those words, showing her sister as Eda smacked them out of her hands, the cards flying everywhere, Lilith looking at her sister in horror.

"Well, I'm more interested in experimentation, innovation and uh... LAUGHING AT TOOLS!" Eda pointed at her sister, Lilith frowning at her sister's immature behaviour.

"Like you!" Eda continued, snorting slightly as she walked away, Lilith letting out a frustrated grunt at her sister before glaring at King, who was scratching himself like a dog.

"Weh?" King looked at the witch before sitting up. "Yeah, yeah, I'll deal with it. No one ever said power came with responsibilities."

The demon stormed off, Lilith watching him leave before she sat back down, resuming her studying.

Standing in front of the school's double-doors, Luz let out an anxious sigh.

"Hoo-kay, First day back after the petrification ceremony, just be chill."

The girl pushed the door open, noticing how no one had seen her until Gus gasped, Willow looking in his direction as the two ran forwards, Luz tearing up as the ran towards one another, all crying out in joy, the two students hugging the human.

"Luz! You're okay!" Gus grinned, the girl noticing her friend's voice change.

"Woah, Gus! Did I uh... miss a birthday or something?"

"Witch puberty." He responded, shrugging as Luz continued to hold Willow's hands.

"I can't thank you guys enough for helping me and Eda at the conformatorium." Luz smiled at the duo, the two smiling back.

"It's cool!" Gus responded, placing a finger on his cheek. "I just hope it helps Eda remember my name, she keeps calling me Goops."

An Oracle student with bird-like feature passed by, waving 'hi' to Gus as he called the boy 'Goops'.

"It's already spreading." The illusion track boy looked down in dismay, Willow placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey Luz." Amity walked over, another figure with dyed-blue tips behind her.

"Amity!" Luz grinned before seeing Georgia behind. "Georgia? I didn't know you attended here."

"I'm a newer student, but Amity and Willow know me well." The girl rubbed the back of her neck, grinning.

Amity smiled at her friend as she introduced the girl to the rest of the group, Georgia waving shyly.

"Luz and co, this is Georgia Hathaway, one of my closest childhood friends."

Willow squealed before hugging the girl, Georgia chuckling at her friends antics.

"Hey, Wil. I missed ya!" She hugged the bubbly girl back, before pulling apart, Georgia shaking Gus' hand.

"Augustus, correct?"

"Finally! Someone who doesn't call me Goops!"

The trio chuckled, all talking as Amity pulled Luz aside, holding up a pastry to the human, Luz looking at it in curiosity.

"In celebration of your return, I have brought you a home-made fairy pie."

"Oh wow! That's sounds soโ€“" Luz grinned, before getting a closer look at the dish, freezing slightly, fairies struggling within the pie as they screamed, Luz looking at it in slight horror. "Goood..."

Amity handed the pie to the girl, looking away as she blushed, Luz taking the pie despite the fairies within.

"The ingredients are... very fresh."

"Thank you."

Georgia nudged Willow's arm, seeing the interaction as she grinned, Willow quietly squealing as the two watched the witches-in-training talk.

"You know," Luz looked at the whole group, smiling softly at them all. "After everything that's happened, I'm just happy to return to some sense of normalcyโ€“"

"You can't just barge in here!" Principal Bump's voice rang out through the PA system, as the five students snapped their heads to look at it.

"Yes we can!" Another voice rang out, arguing with the Principal. "We are the parent-creature association!"

Students looked up at the PA with wide eyes before names were announced, everyone halting when the announcement was made.

"Luz Noceda, Willow Park and Augustus Porter, report to Principal Bump's office, now!" The group stared at the PA speaker in confusion before another sentence was included, Amity's eyes widening in horror.

"Oh, and you too, Amity."

"Mum?!"

"The abomination situation, destruction of detention and the rampage of grom!" Odalia raved as the four students sat in front of her, Amity looking as though she couldn't care less as Willow and Gus looked down and away in shame, Luz sitting with wide-eyes, confused.

"These are but a few of the incidents that have endangered Hexide's students!" Odalia yelled while Alador scratched his face, disinterested in the topic.

"Including our daughter."

Amity narrowed her eyes at her mother, glaring as she huffed slightly.

"So, the PCA has decided that..." Odalia looked at her husband, the man playing with the demon's tail on the back of Principal Bump's head, before his eyes widened in realisation.

"Oh, right." He cleared his throat, Bump looking at him while Odalia crossed her arms before smirking. "These three are bad influences and must be executed."

The four students gasped, all horrified with the decision before Alador realised his mistake, correcting himself, clearing his throat.

"I mean expelled."

At this, Luz and Gus yelled out 'What?!', Willow gasping as they did, Amity gritting her teeth as she glared at her mother, the woman responding as she held the necklace, Amity's matching one glowing.

"Take this as a lesson, Mittens. A Blight always upholds their end of the deal."

Amity gasped, her eyes widening before she frowned, the necklace no longer glowing.

"Sadly, I had no choice of the matter." Bump looked at the trio, frowning slightly, Odalia smiling smugly at the three.

"Luz, Willow, Augustus. Effective immediately, you are no longer students of Hexide..."

"NO!" Luz exclaimed, standing up in interjection, Gus saying 'but' in disbelief, Luz yelling some incoherent words out of shock before turning to Amity.

"Amity! Tell them!"

Looking at her mother, who glared down at her, Amity remained silent, before Odalia spoke once more.

"Good, now, you'll be taking double the classes to make up for lost time." Odalia crossed her arms, Alador getting distracted by Bump's head demon. "Actually, I'm appalled that you're not in class right now, what are you thinking?"

Amity stood up, apologising before Odalia snapped her fingers, the trouble-sniffers busting through the door with their shepherd-staffs.

One grabbed Willow and Gus, the two reaching for Luz before Luz herself was hooked out, Amity shutting her eyes, feeling guilty as she stood.

"Amity!" Luz called out, but the girl didn't respond, the door shutting. "Amity!"

The last thing Luz saw of the girl was Odalia smugly smiling, placing a hand on her daughter's shoulder, Amity looking back sadly.

Standing by the office door, waiting for her friends, Georgia heard the cries of Luz, Willow and Gus, the girl gasping when she saw them being dragged out by the trouble-sniffers, the girl calling out her friend's names.

The three students hung around outside, Georgia soon sneaking out not long after, checking in with her friends. Gus paced around in circles, gripping his head, Willow hugging a tree tight while Luz was draped over the banister of the main stairs.

"I-It finally happened!" Gus yelled out, still pacing back and forth. "Our memorable adventures caught up to us! Oh, my dad can't find out about this! I guess I'll have to start surviving off the land."

Gus picked a leaf from the floor, sticking his tongue out as Luz lifted her head to see Gus' actions, Georgia looking at him in pity before he threw the leaf on the ground, giving up.

"This is impossible!" He stormed off, Georgia looking at Willow as she gripped a tree tight.

"I guess this is goodbye... I'll water you one last time... with my tearsโ€“"

Luz groaned, rolling over while she covered her eyes, soon looking at Georgia.

"Aren't you meant to be in class? You're lucky you weren't involved." Luz squinted at the girl as the sun was in her eyes, Georgia shrugging.

"I'm a fast learner, I just need to learn these at home and I'll be fine."

Luz then groaned before Georgia hear footsteps, the girl hiding behind the stair wall as Alador and Odalia passed by.

"Hey!" Luz yelled out at Odalia, the girl crossing her arms while glaring at Odalia. "How dare you mess with my friend's lives! What have we ever done to you?!"

"Luz, was it?" Odalia glanced back, Alador getting sidetracked by a creature as he followed it.

"Please, this isn't personal. I actually appreciate your tenacity. We're just trying to teach our daughter a valuable lesson in business."

"How does this teach anything? We're still gonna be friends with her! I'm calling applesauce on this business baloney!"

Luz frowned, Odalia turning around to face the girl.

"You're human language is hard to understand, but I think I see your point."

The creature Alador was chasing then flew over the witch's hand, Odalia grabbing it and crushing it as Alador's smile fell, the creature falling onto the floor.

Odalia then grabbed her husband by the shirt, reaching into a pocket as she pulled out a business card, Alador frowning at her slightly.

"If you're interested in talking things through, I'm sure we can come to some sort of an agreement."

The woman held the business card out, Luz taking it before Gus appeared, yelling out 'Gus chomp!' before biting on the business card, chewing it before Willow placed an arm around Luz's shoulder.

"Come on, Luz. We can figure this out on our own."

Gus then spat the card out, agreeing with Willow.

"That's right! We'll get back into Hexide or die trying."

"No one's dying."

"Not with that attitude."

The two walked off, Odalia chuckling at their antics mockingly before she looked at Luz once more.

"Yes, well, if that doesn't work? You know where to find us."

She pushed her husband away, Luz left to contemplate her choices, Georgia soon walking up to the human.

"Luz? Is everything alright?"

"Yeah... everything's fine."
