Today was a pretty, warm spring day, and Braeden and Y/n had a wedding in Laguna to attend.
Only she was at Enya's getting ready there because she'd spent the night, and Enya really knew how to pull off a perfect red lip.
As he pulled up, Braeden fixed his freshly cut hair, his blazer and sighed before he glanced over to Y/n who walked o out the door, holding her bags and smiling at Braeden.
She wore a dark blue dress, matching his suit, and it reached her ankles. She paired it with crystal heels, and of course her hair was curled by Orion, and her makeup was done - Enya helping with the red lip.
"Wow." He uttered, rushing out of his car, he sped up, grabbing the bags from Y/n's hands as he kissed her firmly, his free hand on her lower back as she smiled into the kiss.
"Hi, Brae."
"Hi." He melted a bit, opening the door for her after placing her bags in the back, she took her seat and he then rushed to the other side, entering the car and starting the direction to the venue. "You look beautiful."
Braeden always liked the small reveals like that, he enjoyed the thrill - and the fact that he was never let down.
His hand laid on her thigh the whole way over, he snuck glances whenever he could - and around an hour and a half later, they arrived. The venue was beautiful, traditional and very much fitting for the couple getting married.
Braeden held y/n's hand as they walked in, greeting his friends and introducing her. It wasn't until the actual ceremony started that he began to feel it.
They sat towards the back, but still - he could see everything, and he bounced his leg, anxious as Y/n held his arm, leaning onto him.
He felt her soft breaths, and she felt his short ones. Every minute of the ceremony made him deeply think about them, and whether or not it was time. Of course, it was stupid to be influenced by one wedding but with Braeden's brother recently getting married as well, he had felt a wave of this desire.
Experiencing weddings intensified it. He imagined that it was them, and that they were already happily married with kids, living in the suburbs and of course - with Bowie.
"You okay?" Y/n asked, he looked down to her, pausing for a bit and his mouth parted at the sight of her beautiful presence.
"Yeah." He nodded, smiling down at her and pressing a kiss to her head.
After the reception, the after party came. They found themselves at a venue by the beach, and by the bar you could see the shore. It was beautiful, and cold. Y/n wore Braeden's blazer as they drank, she'd been legal for a few months now and was very much enjoying not having to sneak around anymore.
Her legs were tangled up with Braeden's, every now and then he pulled her chair closer until he just couldn't anymore.
Y/n rested her head on his shoulder now, setting down her drink and holding his hand in hers, before he sighed, pulling her up to dance because he'd never pass a slow dance with her.
Y/n smiled at this, she wrapped her arms around his neck as his travelled to her back. "You're quiet. You never are." She spoke, playfully. Earning a laugh from Braeden, Y/n smiling softly as she tilted her head.
"Did I do something?"
"No, no." He shook his head, his hand now on her knee. "Don't worry. All of this just makes me think of us."
"Really?" She straightened her posture, nervously fiddling with her straw now and Braeden nodded, his eyes averting to her necklace with his very initial.
"Yeah. Nothing bad, I just anticipate what it'd be like.." He took a short pause, "If it happens." He spoke softly now, looking to Y/n who furrowed her brows.
"You don't think it will."
"I'm kinda scared that it won't, yeah." He scoffed a little, and immediately y/n's eyes turned from his, she was clearly bothered and her hands left from around his neck.
"Okay, Braeden." It was dramatic to leave him there in the dance floor, and he stood there awkwardly for a second before turning, watching as she calmly walked off of the wooden floor, and down to the sand.
"Drink?" A past friend came up to him, his arm hanging around Braeden's neck and placing a drink into his hand. Still, Braeden watched Y/n who took her seat by the shore, and he squirmed out of his friend's hand, muttering no's.
He sped walked up to her, checking the surroundings. It was a bit breezy, but extremely dark out here, the only light they received was from the moonlight itself, and a bit of the lights from the party.
"N/n." He groaned, and to his dismay she ignored him, hugging her own legs.
Sure she was young, but the fact that her boyfriend who was already 25 hadn't even known if they'd end up together made her feel stupid, but most of all it surprised her.
And it hurt, her eyes watered a bit and she blinked her tears away as he sat next to her. "Go away."
"Y/n." Braeden spoke again, his hand on her shoulder and she inched away.
She glanced over, and his eyes were a little bit droopy, he seemed as if he was hurt as well but she found that ironic.
"You don't even know if we'd make it this far?" She asked, a tone of anger laced within her words.
"I'm not - I didn't mean it like that." Braeden struggled to find the right words, his mind ran a little too fast for his own good and he took a small breath before speaking again. "I know that I'd do anything and everything to make it happen, look at me - " He spoke quickly, and y/n looked over, awaiting his other words.
"I'm just anxious, I'm scared and don't want to jinx anything or mess this up in anyway, because you don't understand how much I want this for us." He now spoke calmly, softly and Y/n listened carefully.
"Well you're dumb," Y/n spoke, a small smirk on her face. "Because I think it's more likely to happen than anything."
"Yeah?" Braeden smiled, his face nearing hers and his eyes averting down to her lips. She nodded, her hands moving up to his face and pulling him in, she impatiently pressed their lips together and he sunk into the kiss, laughing against it.
The kiss didn't break for a good while, quite frankly because Braeden didn't let it. Her lips against his own was as if he was on cloud 9. Any problem ever, he forgot of, and that's what he needed the most right now.
She pulled away after a few minutes, smiling up at him and kissing his cheek before he attempted to kiss her again, and she pressed her finger against his now red tinted lips. She stood up, her hand reaching for his to help him up and he got up.
They began walking back to the car, Braeden kissing her head continuously until he grew impatient, taking her heels and allowing her to get on his back.
He ran back to their car, and once they arrived inside, he kissed her continuously on the lips, causing her to giggle.
The couple got home in just an hour, they walked in, tired and all but Braeden still couldn't help himself.
As they washed their faces and brushed their teeth, both in the baggiest pajamas ever - he kissed her cheek again and again until the made it to the bed, and he helped her put her hair up, kissing the back of her neck as she sat in between his legs, against his chest.
Afterwards, he continued to fix her hair, and she smiled in content.
The second the light was green, Braeden would secure his girl. The ring was already in possession anyways.
