zed couldn't handle the way he felt about y/n. yes, they were dating but to him, it felt like he still had a crush on her before they were together. every time she looked at him or smiled at him, he felt his heart swell with happiness and the hairs on his arms and the back of his neck would stand up on end. he would get chills.

zed was sleeping over at y/n's house one winter night. they sat together in front of the fireplace and the talked and talked and talked. every time she smiled at him zed would put his hand towards the fire a little, maybe the warmth would stop the chills he would get when he was around her.

every time they made eye contact, zed would find himself shivering slightly. but he couldn't stop, he wanted to feel those shivers. they reminded him that he was with her, that he loved her.

as they continued to talk, zed realized that he had no control over the chills, he had no control over how y/n made him feel. every time she talked, every time she said his name, every time they held hands, zed felt like he was frozen in place. it was like he didn't want the moment to end, he wanted more of it.

zed and y/n had fallen asleep in front of the fire that night. y/n woke up first. she looked over at zed, admiring how peaceful he looked. she didn't have the heart to wake him up so she just laid there with him in silence.

before y/n met zed she was kind of dark, she wasn't really that cheerful, and she was cold towards certain people. but then zed came into her life and warmed her, he made her feel happier than she had ever felt before. he had ignited something in her that brought out all that happiness. she never wanted it to end.

whenever zed looked at y/n and smiled she would feel a chill go down her spine. she couldn't stop it, but she didn't care. she was glad she felt them. those chills reminded her that she was with him, that she loved him.

at school the next day, zed walked up to y/n in the hallway and grabbed her hands. he pulled her into an empty hallway and intertwined their fingers. y/n felt like her heart was going to explode in happiness. every time they touched y/n couldn't get enough.

"i love you" he said as he smiled down at her.

"i love you too." y/n said and smiled.

neither of them was aware of the chills that they had given the other. they stood there together, frozen in place. they didn't want it to end.

later that day as zed sat in his last class his mind drifted off . he was thinking about someone.

he was thinking about y/n. he thought about her almost every second of every day. he thought about how she changed him, made him happier, more hopeful. he thought about how everything was dark and dull before you met and then he laid eyes on you and his world was filled with bright colors. y/n was one of the only people that truly understood him. y/n was like royalty in his eyes and he knew he would never, ever stop loving her no matter where life takes him.

y/n stood outside of zed's classroom waiting for the bell to ring so that they could leave together. when the bell rang everyone sped past her rushing towards the doors of the school. zed was the last one out. he smiled at her and grabbed her hand. y/n leaned up on gave zed a kiss and her heart jumped. it always had whenever she was with him.
