"𝐒𝐎, 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑?" Missy asked with a smirk, a choc ice clutched tight in her hands as she waited in anticipation for Nas' answer.
It seemed that Mollie wasn't the only one who had made a quick exit from Missy's engagement party, and if Nas' grin was anything to go by, she certainly had a good reason for it.
"Well we did a bit more than kiss." The Paracha girl bit her lip as her two best friends burst into a fit of excited squeals. "We did, like, everything!"
"Nasreen Paracha, you dark horse!" Mollie grinned, sitting up in amazement. "We need details."
"Uh, no we don't." Missy scrunched her face up as she took a bite from her choc ice, before having a change in mind and cracking a smile. "Actually, yes we do. What was it like?"
"Well, it just felt right. It felt like we were the perfect fit, you know?" Nas replied, a wistful smile on her face. "I'm sure you guys understand, though. I mean, you've both got boyfriends."
"I was mainly just glad to get it over with, to be honest." Missy chuckled, earning looks of both confusion and disgust from her two friends. "Not that it weren't great, because it was. Well, it is. But you know what I mean."
Nas modded in understanding before turning to the brunette beside her, who had grown somewhat quiet. "What about you and Riz? Have you guys...?"
As Nas trailed off suggestively, Mollie's eyes went wide as she felt herself almost choke on her choc ice.
"Oh, uh, no we haven't." She admitted truthfully, averting the prying eyes of both of her friends and instead looking down at her lap. "Its not that I don't want to or anything, it's just hard to find the right opportunity, you know? It'll be his first time, and I want it to be perfect."
"I get that, babe. I'm sure the right time will come." Nas nodded understandably, earning a gentle smile of appreciation from Mollie.
As the three girls fell silent for a moment, Nas clapped her hands suddenly and grinned. "Right, who's up for a shopping trip?"
✰ ✰ ✰
𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐘 𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐘, it was just Mollie and Nas that ventured into town for a shopping trip. The two girls visited nearly every single shop and tried on everything their hearts desired, despite the fact that their bank accounts couldn't really support their shopping habits.
Nas swung her red shopping bag in the air as the two walked down the street, planning to grab a milkshake from the nearest row of shops. But as they rounded the corner and approached the town square, it was clear to see a protest had been mobilized. Many were dressed in red, white and blue with England flags painted on their faces, and from their mouths came a spew of hateful chants and racist songs.
Nas and Mollie stopped to survey the scene, and it wasn't long before the former spotted a group of Ackley Bridge students clutching egg boxes. And among them was her own sister.
Grabbing Mollie's hand, Nas approached the group of familiar faces. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
Razia looked surprised to see her older sister at first, but gestured towards the racist crowd. "You don't think they deserve it?"
Nas sighed as she looked at the protest. "I just don't think they're worth it."
"Oh yeah?" Razia scoffed, looking back to the crowd as her eyes landed on two girls holding up a flag. "Well, would you look who it is?"
Nas followed her sister's gaze until she, too, was looking at the flag that was blowing in the wind. But it wasn't until it was lowered by the girls behind it that she realised who Razia was referring to.
It was Sam.
Nas' face dropped in an instant, a surge of hurt rushing through her body. Over the past few days, her feelings for Sam had been growing and she felt like she'd given the girl a part of herself during their intimate night together. But now, it felt like she was looking at a completely different person. A person filled with hate, ignorance and resentment.
The sense of betrayal quickly morphed into a rush of anger and, without thinking, Nas grabbed a handful of eggs from the carton that Razia was holding. Nostrils flaring, she lunged forwards and threw the eggs into the protest crowd, causing the other teenagers behind her to join in.
Mollie followed suit, throwing as many eggs as she could at the crowd. As she watched one of the eggs slip from her hand and spin through the air, she followed it with her gaze until it landed on the head of one of the protesters with a crack.
As the racist became covered in yellow yolk, a satsified smirk formed on her face and her eyes flickered down to their face, completely oblivious of their identity. But all she needed to see was their bright blue eyes and slightly stubbled jawline to recognise the person instantly as her own ex-boyfriend, Kieran.
Her jaw clenched, Mollie turned back to the younger Paracha with an urgent look.
"How many eggs have you got? 'Cause I'm gonna need a whole farm's worth of them for this dickhead."

It seemed, however, that they weren't the only ones who had been having an eventful afternoon as the girls received a call from Missy to tell them that her mother had gone missing from the family home.
In complete shock, Mollie and Nas immediately rushed to meet Missy in the place that she suspected her mother had gone to: a worn-down alleyway in the rough part of town.
"She used to stay here all the time." Missy said with a sad sigh, looking up at the house in front of her that brought back alot of bad memories for her. She took a step forwards until she felt a strong hand on her forearm.
"Hey, no no. I'll go first." Aaron insisted assuredly, though there was a hint of fear in his voice and shaky steps. He loved Missy and wanted to be strong for her, even if it meant putting himself in harm's way to protect her.
The four girls followed him into the dark house. The furniture was tattered, the walls were covered in scrawled-on graffiti and the smell of desperation lingered in the air. Swallowing nervously, Mollie reached down and slipped her hand into Hayley's, giving it a gentle squeeze in her best attempt to reassure the younger girl.
After checking almost all of the downstairs, Aaron led them into a room at the end of the house where Simone was curled up into a ball on the sofa. Missy woke her up gently and the older woman looked disorientated for a moment before she processed her surroundings.
"I'm sorry." She said ashamedly, looking between her two daughters. "I'm useless, I know I'm useless."
"No you're not." Hayley mumbled, but Simone simply shook her head.
"I am. I mess everything up." Simone sighed. "You don't understand."
With a pained expression, Missy pulled her mother up from the sofa and pointed a finger in her face. "Why don't you tell us then? Make us understand."
"I just wanted a smoke, alright?" She groaned. "Nowt's as good without a smoke."
"Nothing's changed at all, has it?" Missy raised her voice and shook her head incredulously. "How many times have we heard this? Me and Hayley need to move forward, but you just keep dragging us round in circles. We can't do this anymore."
"Hayley, tell her baby." Simone pleaded, looking to her youngest daughter with wide eyes. "We can get through this."
"If you love us, you will leave us alone." Missy said with finality, turning towards the door before she could think twice and pulling a teary-eyed Hayley with her.
As Mollie, Nas and Aaron followed them out, the sound of Simone calling after her daughters desperately could be heard throughout the house. But it was no use. They were gone.

"𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐕𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐍." Riz commented as Mollie had just finished recounting the tales of what had happened. "I can't believe you saw your ex-boyfriend at the racist march."
With her Dad out at the pub, Cory at a friend's house and Jordan still living at their uncle's house, the Wilson house was officially free and Mollie wasted no time in inviting Riz over for the evening. The two settled on the sofa with a random film on Netflix but, of course, their watching didn't last long as they became distracted and starting chatting over it.
"I can't believe I ever dated him, to be honest. If I'd have known he was such an ignorant dickhead, I wouldn't have gone out with him in the first place." Mollie replied with a shrug. "Landed a pretty good shot on him, though. Felt so good to watch that egg drip all the way down his stupid, racist face."
Riz shook his head, a chuckle of amusement escaping his lips. "You're something else, Mollie Wilson. You know that, right?"
"You wouldn't have me any other way, though." She retorted, looking up at him with a smirk.
Riz rolled his eyes, more than accustomed to her cocky banter. But as he met her gaze, he couldn't stop himself from smiling down at her. "Nah, I guess I wouldn't."
Mollie chuckled, resting a hand on his cheek as she leaned up to kiss him softly. As their lips moved together effortlessly, they were so absorbed in each other that they lost interest in anything around them.
So when the front door was opened, they had absolutely no idea that someone had entered the house until an angry voice was heard from the door frame of the living room.
"What the fuck is going on here?"
Riz and Mollie broke away from each other almost immediately, with equally startled expressions painted on their faces. Looking towards the source of the voice, Mollie felt her heart drop.
"Cory?"
