"𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐍, 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔??" Missy asked Nas, with a serious look on her face as the three girls discussed her relationship with Miss Shariff.
Instead of answering, Nas grinned, which told the two girls opposite her everything they needed to know.
"Oh my god!" Missy beamed while Mollie squealed excitedly, much to Nas' embarrassment as she spotted Miss Shariff not too far away in the canteen and attempted to quieten them.
"Then what?" Mollie turned back around, leaning closed to Nas in anticipation.
"She couldn't look me in the eye after that. Then the trip ended and so did the term, and I didn't think I'd ever see her again." Nas said sadly before taking a glance back at Miss Shariff, the corners of her lips twitching. "Then I start here, and there she is. I like her. Like, I really like her. But she won't talk to me unless it's about ventricles or something."
"Just talk to her. You know, you say something, she says something." Missy shrugged, while Mollie nodded along.
"I know what talking is." Nas giggled.
"Well take it from me, it's the key to a good relationship." Mollie chuckled, before spotting Miss Shariff making her way towards the table. Turning to Nas with a grin, she widened her eyes at the girl. "No time like the present."
"No, I don't know." Nas shook her head, but it was no use as Missy had already walked around to her and pulled her out of her seat.
"Go, go, you're going to miss her."
"Okay, alright I'll do it." Nas muttered as she tried to regain some kind of composure before walking towards the teacher, while Mollie and Missy just watched on like two proud parents.
"God, all this matchmaking is making me hungry. I'm gonna go get some food and I'll be right back." Mollie smiled, patting Missy's shoulder and she got up and headed towards the food bar. Picking out a bag of crisps, she was surprised to see Riz in the queue next to her with a tray of food in his hands.
"Hi." She smiled, bumping his shoulder gently to capture his attention.
"Hey." He said with a friendly nod, noticing the beaming expression on her face. "You seem happy."
"Yeah, I'm really good actually. Missy and Nas are friends again, which is obviously great." She chuckled, causing Riz to smile. "And I actually finished that Biology worksheet that's due in tomorrow, so I won't have to copy it from you again."
"Well that's a relief." He smirked. "Which reminds me, you owe me for that. And since you've done it this time, maybe I could copy your worksheet?"
"Yeah, of course." She agreed instantly, happy to repay the favor. She reached back to her backpack which was hanging from one of her shoulders, but after a moment of rummaging, she couldn't find it. Biting her lip, she looked back at Riz hesitantly. "I'm so sorry, I think I left it at home. But maybe I could send it to you tonight? What's your number?"
Riz felt his cheeks heat up and cleared his throat quickly, trying his best to seem calm and collected- I mean, it wasn't exactly every day that Mollie Wilson asked for your number. About to reach into his blazer to get his phone, he tried to balance the tray in his one hand, but it was a lot harder than it seemed. Noticing this, Mollie touched his arm lightly to stop him and smiled.
"Here, I'll just give you mine." Grabbing a pen from her pocket, she rolled up his sleeve and scribbled down her number on his arm with a smiley face at the end (of course). "Text me, yeah?"
"Uh...yeah...alright." Riz stuttered, his breath hitching in his throat slightly at the sudden, unexpected contact. While she quickly paid for her crisps and gave him a smile before walking back to her table, all he could do was watch her walk away with the usual spring in her step and try to process what had just happened.
He, Riz Nawaz, now had Mollie Wilson's number. And even more than that, she'd been the one to give it to him.
Lost in thought, he was interrupted by Mrs Paracha who cleared her throat and pointed to the queue that had formed behind him and were waiting to pay. "Hurry up. I haven't got all day, you know?"

Things were looking up for the girl, and Mollie couldn't have been happier for her friend. However, the Wilson girl was taken by complete surprise when the figure of her younger brother suddenly appeared in front of her and stopped her in her tracks.
By the look on Jordan's face, she could tell that something was up and whatever it was, he needed her help. Sighing, she turned to Nas and gave her an apologetic smile, which the Paracha girl instantly understood and left the two siblings be.
Mollie turned back to Jordan with raised eyebrows, clearly looking for an explanation. But instead of answering, he simply took her hand and pulled her into the nearest empty classroom. Instead of his usual mischievous smirk, Jordan's face showed signs of worry as he carefully placed his bag on a desk and unzipped it slowly.
With Jordan as her brother, Mollie had become accustomed to expecting the unexpected. But on this occasion, there was nothing that could've ever prepared her for what was inside his bag. And, no, surprisingly it wasn't his schoolbooks.
"A baby? Are you on crack, Jordan?" Mollie exclaimed in bewilderment.
There was a baby - a real life baby - in the bag.
"Yeah it's a baby. Well done, Einstein." He fired at her in irritation, quickly poking his head out into the corridor to make sure no one was approaching.
"Who's is it? Don't tell me you've kidnapped someone's baby." She asked with a tone of panic.
"No, course not." He shook his head in offense at the suggestion, causing his sister to furrow her eyebrows.
"Well, who's baby is it then? Because there's no way you've got a full-on kid." She let out a laugh at the thought, but when Jordan didn't reply and simply looked down guiltily, her laughing stopped. "Oh my god, you've full-on got a kid. I can't believe this. Why is this the first I've heard about this? And who's it's mum? Is it Candice?"
"Yeah, Candice is his mum. And he has a name, you know. He's called Jamie." Jordan cut off her questioning, his voice growing quiet as he looked at the sleeping baby with love in his eyes for a moment before glancing back at his sister's confused face. "Look, Ill explain later. But for now I just need your help...please?"
"Alright, fine." Mollie conceded reluctantly. "What do you want me to do?"

𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄, Mollie tried to shake away the guilt in her stomach as she saw the many worried messages she'd received from Nas, Missy, Cory and, to her surprise, even Riz. She'd pretty much upped and left school with no explanation. But to be fair, she didn't exactly know how she could've explained over text that her younger brother brought his baby into school and she was now sat in her boyfriend's car outside the Murgatroyd estate while they tried to deal with the situation.
"I'm sorry." She muttered quietly, glancing over at Kieran who was sat in the drivers seat in his work clothes. "About, you know, making you leave work early for...well, this."
"S'alright." He smiled, taking his eyes away from the window and looking at his girlfriend with a soft expression. "Although, when you said it was an emergency, I can't say I was expecting this. I mean, there's a fucking baby in the backseat of my car."
"I'm as surprised as you are, babe." Mollie chuckled, shaking her head incredulously and holding her hands up in defense. "I guess that's what you get for going out with a Wilson. Full of surprises, we are."
"You're not wrong." He let out a laugh, before reaching out a hand and placing it gently on the girl's leg. "I wouldn't want it any other way though. You know that, right?"
Feeling a small blush on her cheeks, Mollie smiled sheepishly and nodded, before leaning in to plant a grateful kiss on Kieran's lips. But before he could even properly return the kiss, the two were pulled apart by a sudden racket of shouts and groans, and when Mollie looked out the window her heart dropped at the sight of Jordan being grabbed by two of Candice's older brothers.
"Shit."
In an instant, both Mollie and Kieran scrambled out of the car and ran over towards where Jordan had been dumped on the ground.
"Oi, what you're doing? Get off him!" Mollie shouted, causing both of the men to turn to her with a snarl.
"What's this? You his new missus?" One of them spat, stepping closer to her. "You know he'll just do the same thing he did to our Candace. Knock you up and leave."
"Firstly, I'm his sister. And secondly, you need to leave Jordan alone." Mollie stepped forward and challenged the two men with a glare before she could even stop herself, overtaken with protectiveness towards her brother.
"Mollie, that's enough." Kieran stepped forward, placing a hand on his girlfriend's arm in his best attempt to limit any conflict and stop Mollie from getting hurt. "Seriously, Reece, leave it. He's just a kid."
Recognizing his voice, the two men looked at him in surprise. "Kieran? What you doing here?"
Before he could answer, Mollie took her arm out of his grasp and looked at him in equal shock. "Wait, you know them?"
"They're just old mates, Mol. It's nothing." Kieran replied defensively, gently placing a hand on her back to try and assure her.
"Aw, he's pretending he doesn't know us to make him look better in front of his missus. Pretending we didn't let him crash at ours all those times he had nowhere else to go, or no money for food." Reece mocked in a sarcastic tone, nudging the other boy who laughed along.
"Give it a rest, would you?" Kieran spat back, rolling his eyes and sighing in frustration. "Just leave our Jordan alone, and let him talk to Candace."
"After what he did to her? No chance." He said firmly, glaring at Kieran as he stepped closer to him. "If you knew what was good for you, you'd back off, Tomlinson."
As he spoke, Reece was completely unaware of Jordan's actions behind them. Taking a large plastic toy in his hands, he hit him over the shoulder with it, sending him stumbling back slightly and clutching his upper arm.
While they both started for Jordan, Kieran tackled one of them towards the floor with a grunt while the other continued to chase the boy. As his back was turned, Mollie snuck up behind him and quickly shoved him to the side, sending him towards the floor too. This gave the younger Wilson the perfect opportunity to escape, following his sister's lead and running back towards the car.
"Kieran! Come on!"
The three rushed back to the blue car, getting in as quickly as they could and panting for dear life. Kieran pulled out of the driveway and drove away faster than he ever had, hitting the curb as he went. Although it didn't go as any of the three had planned, none of them could deny the adrenaline rush they tried to regain their breath and heard the angry shouts of the two Murgatroyds as they drove away.
