2 years later

graduation

"Kelsey, where the hell is he?" Y/N stood next to Kelsey.

Finally, their last day of Senior Year. And Y/N was wondering where her boyfriend was.

"Relax! He'll turn up! Eventually..." Kelsey shrugged.

Y/N glared at her friend unamused.

"Now please welcome our valedictorian! Y/N L/N!"

Y/N started looking around quickly.  Kelsey noticed her panicked behavior.

"He's probably still at his audition! He'll turn up!" Kelsey calmed down her best friend.

Y/N nodded her head, "You're right."

Y/N steadily walked up to the stage and shook hands with the principal.

She took a deep breath and began her speech...

She heard the cheers from her fellow classmates and teachers throughout the crowd after her speech was over.

She heard Kelsey screaming behind the curtains, "THATS MY BEST FRIEND! YES SHE DID THAT!"

Y/N quickly laughed and smiled shyly.

"And now please welcome our graduates!" the principal was quick to say.

Y/N stood next to him while kids names were being called. The principal started with the A last names.

"Sid Abrams."

Than after a few names he made it to the B last names... and so on

"Jean Frazier."

"Malcom Fulton."

The F last names were coming to a close. That means the G last names were next...

"Irissa Gabriel."

She watched as a girl shook hands with the man to her left then shake hers.

"Aidan Gallagher."

The boy ran up the wooden stairs with his cap and gown put on messily.

Y/N sighed thankfully.

To her surprise, after he shook the principals hand, he didn't shake hers.

"Aidan, what-?"

"Shh.."

He dipped her into her arms and kissed her front of everyone. The cheers were louder than before. However they were drowned out by the electricity flowing through her.

Aidan parted from her and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry I missed your speech."

Y/N shook her head and smiled looking down, "It's fine."

Aidan grinned and let her go leaving the stage. The principal continued on with the names

"Kelsey George."

Kelsey wobbled up the steps with a shocked and knowing smirk on her face. She made eye contact with Y/N and wiggled her eyebrows making Y/N roll her eyes.

"I hate you." Y/N mumbled while shaking Kelsey's hand.

"You could never hate me." Kelsey smirked bigger

Once Kelsey left the stage Y/N had to stand through more of the named of her classmates.

"I'm glad that's over." Kelsey rubbed her forehead

"Glad it is too." Y/N huddled more on bro her boyfriends arms.

"Y/N?" a voice said behind her. A older man stood with a suit a tie.

Y/N had to blink twice to see who it was before she felt tears ping her eyes.

"Dad?"

"Oh thank god you remember me." the man sighed and smiled.

Y/N hugged her father and lifted her head to meet his eyes.

"Why are you here?" Y/N furrowed her brows.

"Listen, I heard what happened between you and your mother. And I've realized that I haven't been there for you lately so, I've decided to take legal custody over you." he finished.

"Really?" Y/N felt a tear drip down her face.

"Really." he replied back with a small grin.

"Thank you dad!" Y/N hugged her father ronde more.

And she pulled away beaming a smile that didn't go unnoticed by her boyfriend who stood awkwardly to the side.

"Oh and dad, this is my boyfriend, Aidan!" Y/N reached over to her boyfriend bringing him in.

"Oh yes. I wondered who that boy was, kissing my little girl on that stage." the man smiled at Aidan

Aidan rubbed his neck, "Yeah, that was me Mr. L/N."

"Please call me Ben. And thank you for taking care of her all this time." Y/N father smiled down.

"It was my pleasure." Aidan looked to his smiling girlfriend.

"HI BEN!" Kelsey ran over to Y/N dad.

"Kelsey? Wow it's been a long time hasn't it? Suppose I've been in France too long." Ben grinned.

"Well you were curing diseases so, it's understandable." Kelsey shrugged.

"That is true," Ben laughed "Now, I guess I'll leave you lot. Have fun." Ben turned away winking shortly at Y/N and Aidan making the two blush.

"You know," Kelsey started, "It's odd to think we'll be going to college."

Aidan sighed, "Just you guys."

"What?" Y/N and Kelsey said together

"I booked that role. I'll be filming in New York for 8 months. Then I'll be off to Canada to work more on Umbrella Academy season 4."

"I thought you promised to go to (college of choice) with me and Kels?" Y/N frowned.

"I know I did. However I couldn't say no. My agent said this movie will get my name out there more and advertise Umbrella Academy." Aidan shrugged.

Y/N felt another tear fall from her cheek, "You'll keep in touch with us, right?"

Aidan smiled and kissed Y/N forehead, "Of course I will. You were the only real person in my life. Honest, kind, smart, funny, beautiful, and real. You don't find people like that often." he looked into her eyes.

"You won't forget me?" Y/N sniffed.

"What kind of question is that?" Aidan laughed.

Y/N shrugged babyish, "I dunno."

"How can I forget my first real love?" Aidan whispered gently so only she could hear it.

"I'm your what?" Y/N replied breathlessly.

"I love you Y/N. Always have, Always will." He whispered back again.

Y/N smiled through her tear stained face, "I love you too."

She leaned in and he did too filling the gap. Showing the love they've felt for each other. A clearing of the throat caused them to pull away.

"Well I'm still here. Always have, Always will. I'm always gonna be the third wheel, huh?" Kelsey mocked and placed her hands on her hips.

"Guess so." Aidan shrugged and smiled goofily.

"That damn science project ruined my social life I swear." Kelsey ran a hand through her hair.

"Guess so." Y/N copied her boyfriend.

"I hate you guys."

"No you don't."

And with that the trio made their way through the crowd, arms wrapped around each other. If you would've told Y/N L/N that's she'd be dating a movie star she would laugh and think nothing of it. And if you said she'd be head over heels for the boy she'd shake her head 'no'. 

But ever since the day Aidan walked through the door of Mr. Floyd's science class, she might just agree with you.

And who would've known that science project turned into this.

also i think that was a way to end the book entirely because i changed my mind on the whole 2nd book idea. Any way, thank you reading this! it was a blast while it lasted.
