"This is all Artie's fault!"

Rachel had managed to reinstate the glee club at Mckinley High and she, Kurt, Sam and Katy were at Mr Schue's apartment talking about how she was gonna make it happen.

Shaking her head with a small laugh of amusement, Rachel was telling them the tale of how Becky had slushied her whilst she was putting up the New Directions sign up sheet, "I forgot how cold those slushies are. They chill you to the bone."

"Don't worry Rach, I got slushied on my first day back at Mckinley too." Katy told her, with a small chill running down the back of her spine.

"Well I'm sorry that happened to you Rachel. You too Katy." Mr Schue said, getting up from his seat on the couch, "all right guys, dinner is served."

As they made their way into the dining room and sat down at the table, Rachel shrugged her shoulders, "you know what though? It didn't really bother me. It felt good being an underdog again, like I was getting back to my Mckinley roots."

"All that from getting slushied in the face?" Sam remarked, throwing her a teasing smile, "well I guess Becky did you a solid."

Still confused over the foundations of the new and improved glee club, Mr Schue frowned slightly, "wait so you two are co-directing then?" He asked, pointing between Kurt and Rachel, raising his eyebrows as they both answered the complete opposite to one another.

"Well I guess we haven't come to that conversation yet." Rachel said, shuffling in her seat awkwardly, "we're just focusing on recruiting right now so..."

Hearing the doorbell ring, Mr Schue got up from the table, opening the door to let Blaine Anderson rush in and take his place at the dinner table, "hey everybody. Sorry I'm late, what did I miss?"

"Rachel and I got slushied." Katy filled him in briefly.

"But other than that, not much." Mr Schue shrugged, standing at the head of the table to start off the dinner, "but since I have you all here, we might as well get started. We have some fierce show choir competition ahead of us and I think we should lay down some ground rules."

"Yes." Rachel nodded immediately, "like no stealing each other's set lists."

"And no spying." Kurt pitched in.

"And no poaching." Blaine suggested.

"And always be supportive and clap for each other, no matter what." Sam finished, making Katy smile at his positive suggestion amongst the negatives.

After agreeing to the rules, Blaine furrowed his eyebrows, speaking up as he felt he needed to get something off of his chest, "I could actually really do with everyone's advice. I have a huge dilemma," He admitted, looking round at everyone's approving nods for him to go on, "a girl wants the join the Warblers."

Sam, Kurt and Mr Schue were instantly terrified as Katy and Rachel leant forward to glare at him directly, speaking in perfect unison, "what's the dilemma?"

"You cannot be on the wrong side of history here." Mr Schue sighed, in disappointment, "you of all people should know that."

"I know. I just think that tradition is important too." Blaine defended himself, helping himself to some salad as he avoided the steely glares of his two best friends.

"Yeah, well. Some traditions are made to be broken." Rachel argued gently, licking her lips.

"You have to let her try out." Sam insisted, raising his eyebrow at his best friend, never expecting this dilemma to come up with him.

Agreeing immediately, Kurt nodded strongly, "I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"

Blaine took this in as he bit his lip guiltily, saying nothing as he seemed to work out what he wanted to do.

Everyone was back at Mckinley for homecoming week and with the challenge of recruiting members first on her list, Rachel had called them all to the choir room to help. Standing at the front of the room, she put her hands together gratefully as she addressed them, "it's so great to have you all together in this room again. It means so much that you would come at a drop of a hat."

Sidetracking the introduction with a frown, Quinn was busy staring at Artie's storyboard that he was drawing, "Artie are you drawing me?"

"Nope just your boobs." Artie replied casually, making Sam smile, earning himself a slap on the arm from Katy, "I'm practicing for my storyboarding class."

"Okay, we need to focus." Kurt insisted, with a hint of irritation.

Nodding her head in agreement, Rachel clapped her hands together and shook off the distraction of Artie's storyboarding, "yeah guys, we really need to focus here. We're in crisis mode. Glee club has done so much for all of us, it brought us together, it gave us hope and it brought some of us home again."

"She's talking about us." Sam and Katy commented in unison.

"Here's the situation. We need you guys back โ€” not all the time, we realise you've got lives in other places." Kurt explained, as the glee club alumni were seemingly convinced and nodded along passionately.

"We've got to get glee club back on its feet you know?" Rachel continued, "especially since now some of us are the competition."

"She's talking about Schue and Blaine." Sam and Katy interjected once again.

"We need you back." Rachel told them desperately, "not all the time, but if you're not here, the tradition of the club we love so much will be gone. We're gonna find kids that could bring something to it the same way we did and mentor them based on their strengths."

Encouraging them to all come up with some ideas to spread around the school, Kurt held up a boombox and placed it down on the piano, "but right now, we've really got to get out there and take on the school, you know, rattle Sue's cage. We are gonna give Mckinley a taste of what it's been missing."

He and Rachel had planned for the group to get into their brightest, most neon clothes and head through the school in a massive flashmob. Whilst singing A-Ha's 'Take On Me', they danced across tables in the canteen, like they'd done when they were trying to recruit members the last time.

Finishing on top of one of the tables, holding Brittany and Santana's hands, Katy winced slightly as she expected the same negative reaction from the students as usual. Slumping down her shoulders in defeat, she sighed as she jumped off of the table, trying to get the demoralised group to look on the bright side, "at least we didn't cause a food fight this time."

Overhearing her with a cocky smirk, a couple of the football players laughed as they threw their slushies in her face. Puck was doubled over in laughter as the rest of the canteen erupted into loud gasps and laughter. Wiping the slushy out of her eyes, Katy raised her eyebrows over at the guys who'd slushied her, "oh you are so failing my class!"

Pouting as they didn't seem bothered, Katy held up the peace sign with both hands, "I'm just gonna go cry in the bathroom, I'll be back eventually." She announced, sliding out of the canteen with very little elegance as the glee club alumni were left wondering what they'd done wrong.

In the next bid to get glee club up and running, a small group had decided to go along to one of the most popular clubs at Mckinley. It had taken a lot of convincing from Sam and Katy that they were in the right place after they'd heard the name of the supposedly popular club, especially since they were so surprised themselves.

Striding into the middle of a meeting, Puck took charge instantly, making sure the students could clearly see his Air Force uniform, "attention!" He commanded, making a couple of the group jump up out of respect, "at ease tea-baggers. I am airman first class Noah Puckerman but you can call me sir."

Rolling her eyes at him slightly as he smirked, Quinn told them her story with a gentle smile, "when we went to Mckinley, we were part of conservative clubs too, like the celibacy club and the god squad."

"Most of you guys are Christian right?" Mercedes asked, grinning round at them as they all nodded and one girl proudly stick her hand up into the air, and shouted out, "we're all Christians!"

Deciding that the easiest way to convince them to join the glee club was to try and relate to them, Quinn was first to speak up, "before I joined glee club, I only hung out with people who were just like me."

"And then my brother got her pregnant and then she kind of changed for the better." Katy piped up, putting a hand on Quinn's shoulder and frowning as none of the club seemed to laugh at her as she'd hoped.

"Point is, nerds, you need to take your three cornered hats out of you loser butts and join the new directions!" Puck insisted, whilst the club seemed to be offended, "they'll take anyone, even you."

Sitting up even straighter in her chair, one of the girls furrowed her eyebrows at him as she spoke up, "sir, we were always taught to respect our elders, but don't call us losers. The tea party patriots is the school's most popular club."

"Oh my god! That's horrible! What is happening to America?!" Tina yelled, gasping loudly for dramatic affect.

"I'll tell you what's happened." One boy, who was obviously the leader of the club, exclaimed, "we've grown up in the biggest economic depression since the 1930s. Our mission is to fix the mess that Barack Hussain Obama created before he and the homo-elite turned this country into a Muslim welfare state!"

As the glee club alumni stood open mouthed in offended shock at the morals of this tea party patriot club, Mercedes stormed forward to give them a piece of her mind, "you know what? Don't you, you or you join the glee club. Because you know what? We don't need you ignorant, backwards, lily-white, gay-hating, Obama-bashing clubbers anyway."

"Preach girl!" Katy yelled, snapping her fingers as they filed out, throwing dirty looks around the room as they went.

Strutting forward, Quinn picked up the plate of cakes that they'd brought to persuade the club, "I'll be taking these."

"You don't deserve the power of cake!" Katy agreed, passionately, linking arms with Quinn as they left for the door.

Being last to confront the club, Sam went straight up to the front of the group, slamming his hands down on the desk, "and you know what? Quinn once had sex with a Latina lesbian! Oooo!" He announced, backing away with a little kick of his leg, "learnt that in glee club!" Not looking where he was going and bumping straight into Quinn and Katy as he left, they were filled with laughter after another unsuccessful recruiting session.

After getting themselves into their Cheerios alumni uniform, the Unholy Trinity and Katy made their way down to the football pitches to get new members from anyone on the football team or the Cheerios. Twirling her skirt around and sighing with pleasure, Katy remembered how much she truly loved that uniform and how she felt when she was in it.

Filled with excitement about performing with the Unholy Trinity and Artie Abrams, Katy took in a breathe of confidence as she beamed at her best friends, "we look so hot." She gushed, "like, if I didn't have a boyfriend, I'd be completely in love with us."

"Exactly." Santana agreed, holding her head up high, "that's why we have to remember, sex sells."

Nodding her head, Brittany shot them a smile, wrapping her arms around Katy's shoulders, "that's true. It's how Lady Tubbington got Lord Tubbington caught up in a Ponzi scheme."

Not feeling the need to question the life choice of Brittany's cats, Katy, Quinn and Santana shrugged towards each other, pushing their shoulders back and nodding to the band to start up the music for 'Problem' by Ariana Grande.

Strutting out onto the field, they flicked their hair over their shoulders and as Quinn ran over to rally up the football players and Brittany and Santana ran to the centre of the field to catch everyone's attention, Katy ran over to the Cheerios, giving them all quick instructions for a routine which they took in immediately.

(song- problem, sang by Santana, Brittany, Quinn and Katy)

After impressing everyone with their massive flash mob, the girls and Artie went around the field, promoting the glee club to anyone who would listen.

"You have some great moves, we could really use some of that in the glee club." Artie told a couple of Cheerios as he rolled past them, eyes wide with excitement.

"Yeah you could." A voice they all recognised to be Kitty announced, bringing a swarm of Cheerios over to where Artie, Santana, Brittany and Quinn were stood. Pursing her lips, full of irritation as she saw his smile, Kitty folded her arms across her chest, "oh, hi Artie."

Wheeling forward to greet her as if nothing had changed between them, Artie didn't clock the sarcasm in her voice as he replied brightly, "Kitty! Where have you been? I thought Sue made all the new directions transfer out of Mckinley? We need you back."

Furrowing her eyebrows deeply and clenching her jaw, Kitty rolled her eyes with the same bitchiness that she always had, "you really think I'm gonna come back and help you and your stupid glee club after the way you treated us? The way you treated me when you went off to college?" She asked, her voice full of hurt. Her mad expression blowing away scarily quickly as she saw Katy pushing her way to the front, Kitty called her over with a wave of her hand and gave her a friendly smile and a side hug, "Katy, you were amazing."

"And you, as usual, Kitty." Katy smiled back, wrapping her arm around her waist and giving her a quick squeeze, knowing how much Kitty had struggled when the seniors left her at Mckinley on her own.

Her frustration returning as she darted her eyes back to Artie, Santana, Brittany and Quinn, Kitty continued on with her rant, "Katy was the only one of you guys to actually keep her promise to keep in touch with us."

Turning to her friends with a sympathetic smile, Katy shrugged her shoulders, "I've already tried to convince her. Many times."

"And it's not gonna to work." Kitty insisted determinedly, "Sue didn't make me transfer because she's smart enough to know a team player when she sees one. Unlike Rachel Berry who didn't even know our names."

Scoffing loudly, Brittany flashed her a convincing smile, "oh I know your name, it's Quinn."

"I'm Quinn." Quinn called out, with her eyebrow raised.

"Liar!" Brittany whispered, becoming confused at the two Quinn's starring straight back at her.

Intervening before they could completely loose the point of the conversation, Santana folded her arms against her chest, "look, don't you guys want more than just getting shot out of cannons? Don't you want to be a star?"

Taking a step forward with her hands firmly on her hips, Kitty clicked her tongue, tauntingly, "that is rich coming from you. Pathetically stuffed back into your Cheerios uniforms again." She pointed out, smirking as she began a stare off with Santana.

After mumbling between themselves for a short time and becoming starstruck by the performance they'd just witnessed, two brunette Cheerios, a boy and a girl, who were obviously twins, raised their hands and spoke in unison, "can two people try out together?"

"Yes." Katy and Santana replied quickly.

"Yeah, the three of us tried out together." Quinn told them, pointing to herself, Brittany and Santana and smiling as the twins beamed back at them.

Tutting in an over the top fashion as she rolled her eyes, Kitty turned around after giving Katy a wink, "let's go ladies. We have to explain to these two again shum 'Flowers In The Attic' is not a love story to aspire to." She said, flicking her ponytail round and strutting off with the rest of the Cheerios following obediently behind her.

"This is all Artie's fault." Katy mumbled loudly as they went out of sight, shrugging her shoulders truthfully as Artie sent her an offended glare.

During the week, the group had managed to get two new members for the glee club. First, Roderick, a senior who'd transferred from Chicago to Lima that year and had hated his experience at Mckinley so far, being known as the school fat joke and priding himself on staying as invisible as possible despite having an incredible talent. Secondly Jane, a confident, extremely talented girl who'd just been denied acceptance into the Warblers and wanted a place where she could get an equal right to shine.

Rachel was delighted to finally be able to start her journey as the coach of the glee club and clapped her hands together to start them off, "The new and improved glee club has officially began! Introducing our two new members, Jane and Roderick."

As everybody cheered for them, Sam began to do one of his famous impressions from the film 'Field of Dreams', "if you build it, they will come."

Raising her eyebrows and turning to Kurt, unimpressed, Tina was quick to express her concerns, "well they better come fast. I mean, I'm sorry, but two members?"

As everyone looked around awkwardly, Santana Lopez, as
