"Party time!" Joe says as he takes the driver's seat.
"Don't get too excited, Panik." Chris says. "We don't want you to have a Panik attack, if you know what I mean."
I start to laugh really hard.
"Who else are we picking up?" Joe asked Chris.
"Uhh...Richie and Steven."
"Okie-dokie. Wait, I thought Posey was going to come?"
"Remember, Joe, he went to San Francisco for the break."
"Oh yeah!"
This was going to be a long trip.

"Steven...isn't coming." Richie said 42 seconds after he got in the car.
"Seriously, Rich?" Chris looks at Richie. "Can't you say hi first, then your news?"
He gets in the car. "But I do want you to pick up...a guy. As in, a guy I'd like you to meet."
I saw from the rear view mirror that Joe had rolled his eyes, while Chris had his seriously?Β  face on.
Panik sighed. "Who's house?"
"Maile's."

"Why didn't you tell me Maile lived in St. Pete?" Joe asked Richie.
"Shouldn't he be going to Seminole then?" I ask the boys.
"There's really no boundary line." Chris says. "It might of been like that in Maine-"
"Maine?" I question him.
"-but it isn't like that in Florida. I mean, I could be going to Tampa Bay, Richie could be at Seminole, and Joe could be at St. Pete Prep, for all I know."
"Ew, St. Petersburg Prep." Joe wrinkles his nose.
I scoot to the middle seat and tap Chris.
"Did you think I lived in Maine?"
"Portland, Maine, right?"
"Oregon. Portland, Oregon."Β  I correct Chris.
"So, they probably didn't do that...in Oregon." Chris looks at me, waiting for clarification.
"Yeah."

"Hey guys!" Luke greeted us. He looks at me, puzzled.
"Who is she?" He asks Richie.
"Her name is Hollis Santiago. She's Chris' girl."
"Hollis." Luke said my name, savoring the sound of it. "It has a nice ring to it."
Chris huffed. "Can we just get to Orlando already?"
"On it like a bonnet!" Joe exclaimed.
"Never say that, ever." Chris shook hid head.

I hit the road out of nowhereΒ
I had to jump in my carΒ
And be a rider in a love gameΒ
Following the starsΒ

"Hey, I love that song!" Joe says as we speed down the interstate.
"This song sounds familiar..." Richie trails off.

She has a train going downtownΒ
She's got a club on the moonΒ
And she's telling all her secretsΒ
In a wonderful balloon

"What is this song called?" Luke asks.
"Joyride." Chris tells him.
"It's by Roxette." I add.
But somewhere in all the questions, we all seemed to know the chorus as we inched nearer to Orlando:

She says: Hello, you fool, I love youΒ
Come on join the joyrideΒ
Join the joyride....

Orlando, FL; 11:45 AM

"Finally, we're in Orlando." Chris says. He had taken the wheel after Joe decided he'd had enough.
"I've never been here until today..." I trail off, hearing a song I enjoyed.

You caught me in the right place at the right time
So I'll just dive right in
Say you've got a blank space in your right mind
Well here's my second wind

"Who is this?" Chris asked.
"None other than State Champs, duh!" I say as I log in to Instagram.
I take a picture of Chris driving.

I smile and turn off my phone.
This trip was going to be great.

"There you are!" Evan greets us.
We had rooms at the Omni Orlando, since here we were, in the Omni parking lot, greeting the person who brought this all together.
"Yep, we made it, alright." Joe brings Evan in for a hug.
"C'mon, let's join the others." Evan said, untangling from the hug.

As we rode the elevator, I asked Evan what we were doing.
"We're going to the Magic game, duh." He shrugged. "It starts at two, so you have time to rest."
We get off the elevator, where I see Jake Elmore.
"Elmore!" I run over and hug him. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, Holly." He pats my shoulder. "Spring break brought us together again."
"Together at last." I smile.
I see Madison Bumgarner, who is engrossed in his phone, and I decide to wave at him.
He smiles and waves back, then goes back to whatever he was doing on his phone.
I go to Chris, who is unlocking the hotel room door.
"Hollis, I saw your post." He says, opening the door.
"Oh...do you want me to delete it?" I ask.
"Nah." Chris shook his head. "It gave me a good laugh."

Oh, your idea of me blown away, away
Something in the past tense didn't make sense for this to follow through
What did you expect to happen? Were you mad then
With nothing left to do?

"You ready?" Chris asked as I sprayed on perfume.
"Yeah." We walk out of the room, being quickly greeted by Richie.
"Hey, Arch, can I drive? I wanna drive...please?" He begged Chris.
"Idiot. Ask Joe."
Richie skipped over to Joe.
Chris looked over at me.
"Have you ever been to a basketball game?"
I nod. "Oh yeah, several. We were Portland Trail Blazer ticket holders for 2 years. Have you?"
Chris looked at the ground. "Everyone else has been to one...except me."

"Welcome to the game." A usher greets us as we enter the Amway Center.
"This is so nice." Chris had a huge grin on his face as he looked around the state-of-the-art stadium.
"Archer. We need to look for the suite that Evan's dad owns." I tell him as we go up on another elevator.
"That's easy, Hol. Who can't miss Longoria Electric Company?"
Chris turned out to be right, as you could see the company name in big yellow lights: Longoria Electric Company.
"Whoa!" My jaw drops as I see what surrounds me.
Two HDTVs were in there, a bar, a buffet, and two rows of movie theater-like seats surrounded the bottom of the box.
"Cool!" Chris grabs a brownie from the buffet as I take a seat on one of the seats.
It was crazy, seeing players like Victor Oladipo and Elfrid Payton practice on the floor.
"Hollis! Chris!" We turn around, to see Evan and a few other people.
But one of those people stood out from the rest.
It was my ex-boyfriend, Kevin Kiermaier.

Oh, you're making me sick. What is this?
Had we been drawn to close before?
Because I dropped my forgiveness, it's lying face down on the floor...

After that second of eye contact, needless to say, Kevin and I didn't interact the whole game.
After screaming defense and other things, the game was over.
The Magic win 103-93 to the 76ers.
"What a game," Chris said as he got up, "the 76ers suck anyway."
"But, Chris, did you enjoy your first basketball game?"
"As long as we got the dub...yeah, I enjoyed it."
"Cool." I finally got up from my seat.
I was following Chris when a figure bumped into me.
None other than a cheating douchebag.
"Hollis, we need to talk." Kevin glared at me through his light eyes. "Please."
Nope. I've changed. I can't let a boy do this to me.
"Hollis, I-"
"Save it for your hoe." I walk away, finally closing that chapter of my life.

A/n:
The first chapter of 2016!
I think there will be 3 Orlando chapters in total, Disney World being the final of the trip.
What do you think? Are you enjoying these?
