clara and brinnley both got out of the older girl's car and walked up to the school talking and laughing while a bunch of people stared.

"so you mean to tell me he just kept going for like twenty minutes?" clara laughed stopping a bit when she noticed the stares they were getting.

"yes! he would not give up until he got one of those toys" brinnley said as she continued laughing.

the two blondes walked up to kate's locker where the rest of their friends were who just looked at the two confused, more like just brinnley.

brinnley stopped laughing when she noticed the looks her friends were giving her. "why are y'all looking at me like that?"

"maybe because the whole school is looking at you and you haven't flinched" jess pointed out as the other girls nodded in agreement.

"did you not notice?" evelyn asked.

"oh yeah i noticed" brinnley shrugged.

"then why are you like perfectly fine?" amara asked tilting her head.

brinnley shrugged once more, "i guess i just don't care i don't know"

"she goes on one date with zach and becomes a bad bitch" kate said giggling. "y'all need to go out more often then"

"oh my god" jess gasped. "i forgot y'all went out yesterday! how was it?"

"you didn't call us like you said you would!" evelyn mentioned.

"yeah so tell us everything now!" amara demanded.

brinnley laughed at their reactions. "well he took me to the arcade i used to go to all the time as a kid, which i loved"

"thanks to me obviously since i'm the one who told him" clara interjected giving herself a pat on the back and bowing.

brinnley rolled her eyes. "yes thank you clara"

"oh your welcome it was nothing really" clara said.

"clara shut up and let the girl tell us how the date went" evelyn scolded. "go on brinn"

"okay he also won me a panda stuffed animal which is really fucking cute, and he took me to his quiet place where we ate food and talked" brinnley told them smiling the whole time.

"and then he kissed me" she whispered looking down at her feet.

"i'm sorry what was the last part?" kate asked.

"hm oh nothing" brinnley lied.

"no she's lying, she said they kissed" clara explained smiling.

"NO WAY" amara yelled causing the girls to shush her. "oh sorry- no way"

"y'all kissed?" jess questioned.

brinnley just nodded still looking at her feet as she quickly turned red.

"wait clara how do you just know everything all the time?" evelyn asked the smaller girl.

"oh zach texted me after and was like- wait hold on i have the texts" clara said pulling out her phone.

"okay he said, 'so i just kissed brinn and i think that was really stupid because she didn't say anything after but that she had to go home, was that stupid? did she say something? fuck i messed it up didnt i?' it keeps going but you get the point" clara told them putting her phone back in her pocket.

"awwww he was nervous that's so cute" jess said smiling.

"wait he said that?" brinnley asked looking up as clara nodded. "stop thats adorable"

"but why didn't you say anything after he kissed you?" amara questioned the blonde.

brinnley shrugged, "i panicked and just didn't say anything"

"well i take it y'all aren't dating now" kate stated.

"nope, we just kissed, i don't really know if i'm ready for a relationship yet" brinnley said.

"oh you definitely aren't" amara said snickering slightly. everyone turned their heads to the girl and looked at her confused.

"what is that supposed to mean?" brinnley asked her.

amara's eyes widened, "i didn't mean that in a bad way, i'm just saying you haven't dated since evan which was a total nightmare so i wouldn't expect you to be ready right off the bat"

"righttt" brinnley said as the rest of the group slowly nodded not totally convinced. "but still i know i really like him but a relationship is scary"

"i have to disagree with amara though" evelyn stated. "i think you are ready, just nervous"

"yeah same, i just think you need to put yourself out there" kate agreed.

"oh come on guys she just broke up with evan" amara disagreed.

"yeah, months ago" jess replied rolling her eyes.

"but really a year ago when he first laid his hands on her, remember?" clara reminded her.

"okay but brinn was so in love with him so i think you should take your time" amara shrugged.

"i was not in love with him" brinnley replied. "i thought i loved him because he told me he loved me, we were together for two years and i thought that's how a relationship worked, but he was awful"

"why are you so against brinn going out with zach now? you were all for it yesterday" kate furrowed her eyebrows.

"i'm not. i'm just being cautious" amara told them. "just forget it, i'll see y'all later i have class"

amara then ran off to class while the other girls waved her off confused.

"so everyone found that weird right?" brinnley asked as the the rest of the girls nodded in agreement.

"hey brinnley!" ashton called out to her leaving his friends. "i know you aren't officially my tutor anymore but i'm really hoping you can still-"

"no way, i'm not working with you ever good luck with that thirty-two average" brinnley smiled as she walked away from the boy.

"who is she exactly?" evelyn asked the rest of the girls while they followed behind brinnley in disbelief.

"i have no idea" the three said gleefully.
