"slow down you idiot- you're going to crash the car!"
it was a normal, summer's afternoon in the city of tokyo.
the streets were bustling with foreigners and locals alike, going out shopping with their friends and family to get that new stock of summer outfits that the shop has released- it was a lively day for everyone.
in the case of sano ayaka and her brother ayato, the two were far from normal.
driving past the streets of the shopping district, both thirteen year olds were speeding their way home in fear that their parents would realize that the car was missing and so were their two children.
you see, it was their father's birthday today and being the good children that they are- they forgot the simple fact and forgot to buy him a present.
so ayato, being the oldest of the twins, decided to drag his sister off and steal their mothers' car when their parents' weren't looking- and here they are now.
poor ayaka was clinging onto her seat as her brother drove past another red light, praying to the gods that they'd make it in time for their family lunch and not get scolded.
she isn't scared of the police- she knows that her grandfather would handle them if ever they'd get pulled over. what she's scared about is feeling her mother's wrath being directed to them.
the girl still shudders whenever she would remember the time when her father was busy in his shop and forgot to go home for the night, remembering the sounds of her hitting him with her slippers and letting the man sleep on the couch.
it's safe to say that you should never anger sano y/n.
"relax, we're almost there anyways!"
swerving past the road and into the neighborhood, their eyes landed on the familiar house just a couple of blocks down.
the sight of motorcycles and cars lined up on their driveway gave them a sense of fear as the two drove past the gates- giving a quick thanks to the guard as they immediately got off and took the bags of gifts from the backseat and opted to sneak around the estate to avoid getting caught.
"how are we going to get these inside?!" (e/c) eyes turned to look at her brother as she holds the framed painting behind her back just in case any of her relatives or even her parents come out and sees them.
ayato took ahold of the shopping bags and motioned for his sister to follow, the two of them sneaking to the side of the estate where they knew the door to the kitchen would be open- their mother would always leave it open just because.
"just stay calm and don't let anyone see that painting- uncle mikey! what a pleasant surprise!"
the twins jumped in surprise when they saw their beloved uncle walk in the kitchen hoping to get a glass of water, only for him to be greeted by the sight of his niece and nephew looking all suspicious.
his dark eyes narrowed at their sweaty figures, looking down to see the poorly hidden shopping bags and frame as he sighed in disappointment.
"you know your parents' would get mad at you if they found out that you drove the car again- especially y/n."
"yup... especially mom."
mikey, despite of him being disappointed at their carelessness, gave them a grin and motioned for them to follow along.
"i'll help you sneak back in. your parents' are with their friends in the parlor right now." ayato let out a sigh of relief as he followed behind his uncle, grateful that they had a relative as cool as him.
ayaka, however, was skeptical yet followed along her brother as the three of them entered the hallway- the parlor just at the end of it.
but before they could even turn to the direction of the staircase, mikey had a change of plans.
"y/n! i found your two kids!" she knew that it's too good to be true!
the twins turned to their uncle with a look of betrayal on their faces, hearts thumping at a fast pace as ayaka tried to hide the painting before her mother comes in and whoops their asses.
ayato was muttering his silent prayer, giving up on trying to hide the evidences of his and his sister's adventure to the shopping district as the sounds of the oh so familiar heels grew louder and louder.
the both of them turned to the side where sano y/n was standing there in all her glory, brows raised in question and arms crossed over her chest- the aura of dominance and anger flowing out of her.
what's scary isn't her face- it's the fact that she's silent. and the siblings know that when their mother is silent, they're toast.
"hey... mom... funny seeing you here in this part of the house. is that new stilettos that dad had gotten for you- i'm sorry! it's all ayato's fault!"
"you snitch! i should've eaten you in the womb!"
"we all know that i had the opportunity to absorb you yet didn't because i'm a kind person!"
"'kind person' my ass-"
"what's going on?"
all four of them turned to look at the approaching man, dark eyes filled with amusement as the children let out a sigh of relief.
the (h/c) haired woman turned to her side and sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as her husband made his way beside her.
"your kids took the car out to town, again."
"is that true? you guys know that your mother hates it whenever you leave without permission. you should've at least asked someone to accompany you."
sano shinichiro scolded his kids- half afraid because if he doesn't talk to them then he's getting a full on confrontation from his wife, and he doesn't want that.
yes, sano shinichiro and l/n y/n are now happily married and have two loving children- shocking.
let's go back to fifteen years ago when their remarriage happened, shall we?
after the two adults confession inside of that park, they agreed to marry not for benefits this time but because the two were genuinely in love with each other- how sweet of them.
l/n y/n then decided to leave the port mafia for good and settle down with her beloved husband right after the wedding. she didn't want to put her husband into serious trouble just because of her affiliation with the yakuza. l/n f/n still leads the port mafia to this day- don't worry.
two years after their marriage, ayaka and ayato were born- making them a happy family of four.
that leads us to now, sano shinichiro's 39th birthday.
"i'm sorry dad... we just forgot that it's your birthday and if we didn't get you a gift then you'll be disappointed in us."
(e/c) eyes softened themselves at how guilty her children looked, knowing that they're being genuine with their apology- feeling her heart swell because they went to all the troubles just to get their father's gift.
shinichiro sighed beside her, a small smile on his lips as he spreads his arms and coaxed his children for a hug.
ayato and ayaka happily ran up to their father's arms and giggled at how goofy he was.
"you know that i'll never be disappointed in you guys."
the man looked to his wife with a smile and nodded his head at her, the woman tilting her head in confusion as the three opened their arms for her.
"c'mon mom!"
y/n stared at her loving family as they all waited for her to join in on the hug, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she made her way over to them.
smelling the familiar scent of musk and baby powder, she sighed in content as she basked in the presence of her husband and children.
eyes turned to the side when a flash turned on, seeing ryuguji emma holding a camera pointed towards them with a happy look etched on her face.
"a family photo!" mikey sighed, peeking past her shoulders and smiled at the photo of the loving family before he gestured for them to go.
"now let's get going- my ass is starving."
"you're always starving uncle-"
"shut up."
sano y/n and shinichiro watched with a content look on their faces at the sight of their children along with the people that they love.
there may have been some up's and down's for the couple, but it's nothing that a small talk and a little date can fix.
slinging an arm around his wife's shoulder, shinichiro gave her a grin as the two made their way to the parlor where everyone was waiting.
"lovely kids we've got, right?"
the woman rolled her eyes at him, lips forming a small smile as they entered the room filled with people that they love- families and friends all happily conversing.
it was a beautiful sight to witness, something similar to what you'd usually hear in the fairytale books that your mother would read to you on a nightly basis.
(e/c) eyes widened when she felt his lips on the crown of her head, arms wrapping around her figure as the sounds of idle chatter served as their little white noise.
"i love you... thank you for giving me this wonderful family, l/n y/n."
"i love you too, sano shinichiro."
who would've thought that a simple contract for a fake marriage would lead to one that blossomed in love and endearment?
sano shinichiro, the former black dragons captain.
l/n y/n, the former debt collector for the port mafia.
two powerful people with a title under their names, joined together and created a wonderful life despite of their past.
because in this life and in the next, the two would always choose each other.
