"Aw jeez, is he even going to say yes?!" Titus whined, pacing around and sweating buckets. Accimus and Zion stared at him, seated on his bed.
His brother spoke, "are you good, dude?"
"Obviously not? He's worried his boyfriend won't say yes, which I don't get why because he's literally his boyfriendโ€“"
"Zion, get out," Titus shrieked. He ran two panicked hands through his hair and paced the room even more.
Judah came in, holding Justus. "Hey, what's going on?" he sang.
"What's going on is that Titus doesn't know if his boyfriend's going to say yes to be his valentine." Zion spat.
"He won't!" Titus shrieked.
"You're really dumb," Justus said, looking like he was in a different world.
Titus looked in the mirror, staring at his disheveled hair and exhausted eyes. He shook his head. "So do I go in a suit, or what?!"
His siblings exploded into laughter. "A suit?!"

Wednesday morning. Titus looked himself in the mirror feeling like he was about to go to another band concert. Whatever was left of his hair after Erath's and Accimus's haircut was still disheveled, but it looked better that way. His eyes inched down his outfit; a white, freshly ironed button down, the first buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his forearms, and a pair of neat black jeans. Was this good enough?

Before he knew it, he was already walking out of his dad's classroom, ready to start the day.
"Hi!" He heard an oh-so familiar voice behind him, and felt a chill rattle down his spine.
He turned around and searched for Braydin, only to see Jack, Kai, and Landyn, standing in a line holding papers. He gazed at the people around him recording, and felt sweat bead up. What's going on?
"Look," Landyn's paper read.
"Behind," Kai's paper read.
"You," Jack's paper read.
Titus snickered wholeheartedly, starting to get an idea of what's going on. "Oh my gosh, you guys," He murmured.
He turned to see Braydin in an almost identical outfit, the differences being that instead of the first few buttons being undone they were all buttoned together with a small black bowtie. The shorter held a bouquet of roses and a warm, nervous, contagious smile.
Titus sucked in a breath upon hearing Braydin's next words. "Um... I got you roses."
"Baby..." Titus trailed off.
Acting like Titus hadn't said anything, Braydin continued as his voiced wavered harshly. "My love, turn around."
Titus obliged, sighing. He turned, hearing the crinkle of the paper that Braydin had the flowers in as he awkwardly repositioned himself. The signs had flipped.
"Will you," Jack's sign read.
"Be my," Kai's sign read.
"Valentine?" Landyn's sign read. Underneath in smaller letters, it also read "(And go to the dance with me tonight?)."
Titus whipped around to gaze at his lover once again.
"So?" Jack queried, "Is it a yes??"
Titus swore Braydin's eyes were watering and he felt his chest tighten. "I was going to ask you.."
Dead silence from the two boys. Everyone around them was gasping in shock, holding their phones up.
Then, in unison, they both asked each other the same thing. "Do you wanna be my valentine?"
Braydin squeaked in excitement, gently setting down the bundle of roses before jumping around and then leaping into his boy's arms.
Titus held Braydin up and looked in his resplendent green eyes. Then, they both spoke in unison yet again. "Yes!"
The growing recording crowd cheered. Titus swung Braydin around in a circle happily and then the other boys threw their signs down and pulled all of the group into a hug. Sadly, they were interrupted by the bell, so the crowd dispersed and left the two boys holding each other.
"Hun, let me go set this in my dad's office." Titus grinned, leaning in to kiss Braydin's forehead. The brunette giggled at the gesture, and squeezed Titus's hand before shooing him off to put the flowers in a safe place.
    Suddenly, Braydin yelped, "Wait!"
    "Hm?"
Braydin grinned, handing Titus a box of white chocolates that had a thick letter and 'White chocolates for tighty whitey,' written in sharpie on the lid. "I got you more!"
Titus could cry. "I love you so, so much. I'm really sorry I didn't get you anything, I-"
"You don't need to show it," Braydin stopped him, placing a reassuring hand on his forearm. "I know, babe. Just go put those away and show me you love me by showing up to the dance tonight, 'kay?"
Titus found himself giggling. "Okay, honey."

Again, Titus found himself staring in the mirror. He messed with his button up again and sighed loudly. He didn't notice his dad walk in, and tapped his foot impatiently.
"Um... Braydin," he began, "will you.. god dammit." Stumped and defeated, he backed off from the mirror and smashed his head into a wall.
Brian laughed. "Son, you're absolutely miserable. What ever happened to being strong and straightforward for the ladies?"
"Dad."
"Huh? Ohโ€“ sorry. Maybe that's why." He joked again. Watching his son's face fall into a mask of unjust distress, he sighed, too.
The balded man walked in and set a hand on his son's shoulder. He pulled him into a side hug and guided him onto the bed.
"You know, your brother Ac had a friend he wrestled with. His name was Phil, you know him?" Titus nodded.
"You know, he put a raccoon in the toilet," Brian continued, laughing.
Titus grumbled. "Are you going to ask me how he felt? Because I don't think he felt any fear. They recorded him."
"Um..." Brian's mouth went dry, "Well, the moral is; don't feel it. He knew exactly what was going to happen to him, and, um... you know what I mean."
Then, Titus and his dad laughed until tears welled up in their eyes. Titus was ready.
