Jack and I just flew into Toronto for the All-Star Weekend tonight. Despite hoping, Jack won't be able to participate in the skills competition and the game that'll take place on the third and final day. Although he was upset at first, Jack was excited to at least be able to draft up a team with Quinn, Micheal Buble, and Quinn's teammate, Elias Pettersson. To say I'm excited about being in Toronto with Jack would be the biggest understatement. This is gonna be one of the first times Jack and I are together with thousands of hockey fans around us publically witnessing our relationship, but I'm here for Jack and to watch him have a good time.

Since the day he booked our flights, he's been talking non-stop about how he's always enjoyed being chosen as an All-Star, but this year he would be there to experience a lot of it with Quinn. He was disappointed that Luke wouldn't be there too, but after talking to Luke myself, Luke told me he had no problem missing out since he'd be back in Michigan hanging out with his friends. We were staying in a nice hotel where other players were staying and it was nicer than any other hotel I've stayed in when I've traveled quite the distance for sponsorship events.

Walking into the room, Jack and I were met with a California king-sized bed in the middle of the room with an ensuite bathroom with a huge shower, tub, and double sink vanity. The window near the bed gave us a beautiful view of the city. "Jack, this room is huge! Look at the view, it's beautiful." Leaving my suitcase next to Jack, I walk towards the window, eyes wide looking out at the street below and the buildings around us. It was dark out, but the lights of all the buildings in the city were shining bright, cars driving below and traffic lights changing colors. In my amazement with the view, I failed to feel Jack's presence behind me until he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. He placed his chin on my shoulder, looking at the same view I had already been looking at.

"Yeah it's a pretty nice view, but there's an even prettier one I'm seeing right now." He snuggles a little more into my shoulder, his arms unmoving from my waist. "Oh yeah, what's that?" I leaned my head towards his still looking out the window, waiting for his response.

"You." He whispers in my ear and my face heats up. I bring my head back upright and slightly move it away to see his face. "Oh my God shut up you dork." My hand jokingly pushes his head away at Jack's cheesiness and he laughs at my reaction. Jack loves to be a little cheesy and that's become a common thing with us. He'll be cheesy and I'll call him a dork and eventually, we'll both end up laughing.

"Charlotte Mitchell, my beautiful girlfriend, will you go on a date with me tomorrow night?" Jack stands in front of me holding both of my hands. His face holds a sweet smile with a slight nervous undertone, waiting to hear my answer. Even though we've been together for almost two months now, Jack still gets a little nervous when he asks me on dates. I let out a laugh shaking my head up and down to say yes. "Don't laugh at me, Lotte. You know I still get nervous around you sometimes." He pouts trying to be serious, but eventually he fails and now we're both laughing and I can't help but kiss him. Bliss surrounds us as the kiss gets deeper before we mutually end it, taking a step back from each other.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to kissing you." Our foreheads meet as we smile at each other once we're done with the kiss. The rest of the night is spent with us getting ready for bed and cuddling. Eventually, we both end up falling asleep watching The Vampire Diaries with smiles on our faces.

Today was the day before the first day of All-Stars was supposed to start, Jack texted Quinn inviting him to have breakfast with us at a cute little cafe nearby. When we get there, Quinn is already waiting for us at the entrance. "Hey, man." Jack walks up to Quinn first and bro hugs him. They pull away from their bro hug and Quinn turns to me, "Hey Char." Giving Quinn a quick side hug, we end up going inside and taking a seat before our waitress comes over.

"What can I get you cutie?" I notice the waitress' eyes are set on Jack when she says this and I can't help, but feel a little bit of jealousy bubbling in my stomach. It's almost like she doesn't see that Quinn and I are also here, with me sitting next to Jack. "Umm... I'll get the breakfast wrap with an orange juice. My girlfriend will have french toast with a side of bacon and another orange juice." Jack goes to hold my hand on the table to solidify that I was his girlfriend. The waitress' face turns a light shade of pink with embarrassment once she notices me there. Quinn orders his food next and the waitress heads to the kitchen to place our orders.

"Jack, that waitress, was looking at you a little too into you. Char looked like she was ready to punch someone." Quinn laughs at the fact the waitress paid too much attention to Jack when she first walked to our table. "Well I have my girl sitting next to me and she knows she's the only girl I have my eyes on." He wraps his arms around my shoulder, kissing my cheek, my shoulders respond by falling in relief.

"You know, it's nice seeing you guys without it being a quick stop for a game." Jack and I nod our heads, "Yeah man, sucks that Luke isn't here, but it's still gonna be a great time." I look around at the cute little decorations in the cafe while the guys catch up. The whole cafe gives off a warm homey feeling with warm colors coating the walls and furniture to complement it. A wall on the opposite side from where we sat had a few fairy lights with the cafe's logo in the middle.

"So Charlotte, how's work been? The video you guys did together was really sweet. You guys are perfect for each other." The waitress comes over bringing our food and we shoot her a quick thanks before she walks away. "It's been going well. I've got a few new video ideas that I have to work out, but I'm excited to make it happen. Thanks, I can't imagine being with anyone, but Jack." I shoot a smile over at Jack and he shoots one right back. The rest of the morning and part of the afternoon is spent by the three of us going around to different spots in Toronto and crossing paths occasionally with fans who would take pictures with the guys. If fans asked, I would happily help take the pictures for them earning me smiles of appreciation and thanks.

Once we make it back to our room, Jack lets me know that we should start getting ready for the date. He made reservations for an Italian restaurant nearby, but wouldn't tell me much more. Picking out my clothes, I head to the bathroom to get dressed and ready while Jack stays in the room getting himself ready. I changed into a white knitted long-sleeve with a black above-the-knee length skirt, black sheer tights, a black boots. I opt to wear a gold necklace and a ring on my middle finger. I put on just some mascara and make light waves at the ends of my hair. Footsteps walk to the door, "Hey Lotte are you ready?" Jack's voice sounds like he's right against the door. "Yeah, I'll be right out." I take one last look in the mirror and adjust my hair to fall over my shoulder before opening the door and coming face to face with Jack.

"Wow!" His eyes go wide as he takes a look at my face and my outfit. There's a nice warmth being emitted from his eyes and they light up at the sight of me. For what feels like the millionth time in the last few days, heat rises to my cheeks and I take a look at him and what he chose to wear for the date. Jack's wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans, his favorite Air Force ones, and a black jacket. His hair sits nicely on his head and it almost makes me want to drool. "Grab my hand real quick," I suspiciously look at him, but place my hand in his. He holds my hand and arms up slightly, "Spin please." He helps guide me to twirl around, giving him a three-sixty view of my outfit.

"You look beautiful Lotte and I mean it." Once he says this, he twirls me close to his body, placing a kiss on my cheek and swaying us both. He kisses my cheek, "Says you. You look handsome." We both pull away and I go to pick up my purse when Jack lightly grabs my arm after I take two steps forward.

"Wait, I have a present for you." He walks over to his suitcase and pulls out a little box. My eyes go wide, "I know what you're thinking and no it's not an engagement ring. Trust me if and when I do it, it's gonna be really special and not a hotel room." Taking a sigh of relief, I relax and watch him hold out the box to me, nodding at me to take it and open it. The turquoise box feels light in my hands and after one last look at Jack, I open the box to find a gold necklace with a letter "JH" pendant. My mouth goes wide as I realize how special this present is.

"Jack, this is beautiful! Why the letter "JH" other than the fact that it's your initials?" He doesn't hesitate to answer my question, "Well you know we've almost been together for two months and you're special to me. I miss you anytime I'm away for games and I know you say the same so this is a little something so I'll always be there with you." Before he could say anything else, I walked up to Jack on my tip toes and wrapped my arms around his neck to hug him. Mumbling into his chest, "Thank you, honey. Can you help me put it on?" I feel him nod and I stand up straight facing the mirror, holding my hair to one side giving him a clear view of the clasp.

His fingers are cold as they brush the back of my neck and the necklaces lie perfectly. His eyes look at mine through the mirror, "Perfect!"

Arriving at the front of the restaurant, Jack holds the door open leading us to the hostess at the front. "Reservation for two under Hughes." The hostess nods her head and checks the reservation book before picking up two menus and leading us toward a table for two near a large window. Jack pulls out a seat inviting me to sit and I quickly thank him before he walks to the other side taking his seat. "Your waitress will be right with you. Enjoy!" The hostess walks away and Jack and I proceed to look at the menu and once the waitress gets to us, we place our orders now sitting looking around.

"This is a nice restaurant." Light classical music was playing throughout the restaurant and light chatters and laughs could be heard. "Yeah, this place was recommended to me by one of the boys on the Leafs." We continue to make small talk before our food arrives at our table with a bottle of red wine. Once we finish eating, Jack covers the tab and despite my refusal, he takes on the tip too. In his words, he asked me on this date and it was only right for him to cover it.

Sitting in the car, Jack drives off to take us back to the hotel. Our hands were laced together over the center console, "My parents can't wait to meet you." Recently, my parents have been very insistent on meeting the guy that has their daughter so infatuated for almost two months. They know a lot about Jack and they know he's a great guy with an amazing family. "Yeah? Hopefully, we can make it happen soon. I would love to meet them!" Jack has equally been as excited to meet my parents, but I know that he's a little nervous to meet them. He has nothing to worry about but I understand.

The rest of the night, we spend it having a movie night in our room and try but fail to build a little fort. We had invited Quinn, but he was gonna be heading out with a few of his teammates to a bar nearby to get some drinks leaving Jack and I alone as a part two of our date. Somewhere in that time, Luke had Facetimed us and started telling us about the fun he was having with his friends back in Michigan.

hello lovely people! finally a new chapter for you to enjoy. this is one of like three or four all-star toronto chapters. i hope you enjoyed the cuteness overload from my two loves, char and jack! i also wanted to let you guys know that i have another story out called lavender haze that's all about nico and gabi and a look into their little origin story. i promise that it's going to be just as cute as jack and char so hopefully you'll check it out!
