( I MISS YOU, I'M SORRY )

"GABBIE I'M HOME, AND I BROUGHT CHICK-FIL-A!" Rylan yelled through the house, locking the door behind her.

"Hey," Gabbie spoke softly, as if she was scared that if she said the wrong thing, Rylan was going to break. "Are you okay?" Gabbie asked her and Rylan furrowed her eyebrows.

"yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Rylan asked confused.

"You weren't answering the boys text; they were worried about you." Gabbie continued.

"Oh, we ended up going to the movies, I turned my phone off. And admired Cole sprouse in all his glory in five feet apart." Rylan laughed.

"How many times have you watched that movie?" Gabbie questioned her as she walked into the kitchen.

"I've dragged each and everyone one of you guys to watch it." Rylan told her, putting down the bags of chick-fil-a on the counter. "I think Corbyn has watched it four time already." Rylan thought out loud.

"Speaking of Corbyn," Gabbie began as, Rylan grabbed the food she wanted from the bag and walking to the living room. "Have you've been on social media lately?"

"Yeah, right before the movie started why?" Rylan raised her eyebrow, stepping into the living room only to see all her friends there. With the sudden noise, they all turned their heads to stare at her. "Aw, if I would've known you guys were here, I would've gotten more Chick-fil-a." She pouted, moving to put her food down and sitting next to Corbyn.

Jonah and Jack glanced at each other before looking back at Rylan weirdly. It was as if nothing happened. As if everything was normal in the world. But everything was not normal. Everything was far from normal.

"Hey rye." Corbyn smiled softly at her and she grinned back.

"I think I'll just uber eats it. I'm really hungry anyway." Rylan shrugged, grabbing a fry and sticking it in her mouth before pulling out her phone.

"Rye," Corbyn tried getting her attention but she continued to focus on ordering food for everyone.

"Do you think that if I ask for eight more packs of fries, they'll give it to me or cut me off?" Rylan questioned, chewing on her bottom lip as she seriously thought about it.

"Do you think she's just pushing it down?" Daniel leaned over to Jack and Jack's eyebrows were just presently drawn together in confusion.

"I have no idea." Jack responded in a whisper, not taking his eyes off his best friend.

"Rylan." Corbyn spoke more firmly now, pushing down her phone and she looked up at him with a frown. It was green on green as the pair stared at each other.

"What?" She questioned, Corbyn watched her every movement, wondering what she was doing. "Seriously what? I want more fries." She frowned again and Ronnie looked at the pack of chick-fil-a fries that was sitting right in front of here, with her sandwich.

"You have a whole pack of fries right there." Ronnie told her and she playfully rolled her eyes.

"Ronnie you know me, and you know that there is never enough fries." Rylan moved her gaze to him, and Ronnie smiled at her shaking his head in amusement. "especially when they're from chick-fil-a," She told him, taking a sip from her soda.

"Alright I'm tired of acting normal, can we talk about this and get it over with?" Zach snapped, weirded out by the fact that everyone was on edge.

"Talk about what?" Rylan asked innocently.

"were you not on social media today?" Jonah questioned his sister and she nodded.

"yeah I was."

"Did you see what everyone is tagging you in, tagging all of us in?" Zach asked wearily and she nodded, holding the same expression.

"yeah okay, where are you going with this?"

"Rylan, don't push it down." Gabbie started but Rylan cut her off.

"You guys don't seriously think I'm mad about that, do you?" Rylan laughed lightly. When no one joined in her laughter she frowned noticing that they were being serious. "wait you think I'm mad about that?" She turned to Corbyn who just pursed his lips.

"I mean you ignored my texts and calls from the moment we started getting tagged. I was worried about you." Corbyn told her.

"It kind of hurts that you don't know me well enough to know that something like this wouldn't hurt us." She furrowed her eyebrows. "I went into a movie Corbyn, I don't like using my phone at the movies."

"Rye I was just worried." He went to grab her hand, but she moved it before he could.

"Did you actually think that something as stupid as you sleeping with Christina would be enough to make me mad at you? That was in the past, I don't care about that." She shook her head. "That was just another failed attempt from those stupid fan accounts to break us up," Rylan told the group, more specifically Corbyn, before grabbing a fry and eating it. Corbyn sighed in relief, just happy that there wasn't anything inside of Rylan that bothered her about that.

"You're right." Corbyn nodded, wrapping his arm around her shoulder before pulling her into a side hug. "I'm sorry I ever doubted you." He teased her and she flicked his leg.

Rylan knew there was nothing to be mad at. It was just like she said, it was in the past, before both Corbyn and Christina even knew her. So, what was the point of giving the drama accounts the satisfaction of thinking they were right? When she read the post, she didn't feel any sort of jealousy because she had all her trust in Corbyn, and she knew Christina would never do anything like that now. So, when they said that they had sex multiple times after the first time, she knew it was all before Corbyn and Rylan were even a thing.

"I also already knew." Rylan pointed out and everyone's head snapped towards her.

"how the fuck did you know?" Jack looked at her and she rolled her eyes.

"When you guys started the band, Christina told me about this guy she was hooking up with. When I met the boys, I just put two and two together." Rylan continued to explain.

"So, you knew this whole time?" Christina raised her eyebrow.

"I had a hunch. Why do you think I was so reluctant when the whole fake dating stuff happened?" Rylan asked Corbyn who thought back on when Rylan continuously brought up her doubts the year before.

"I honestly thought you just didn't like me at all." Corbyn told her.

"Awww, but who couldn't like you?" Rylan asked in a baby voice, squishing Corbyn's cheeks together, which caused him to swat her hands away as she joked with him.

"You're insufferable." He pushed her away from him.

"Beside you two being all PDA, this situation just blew up way more than it needed to." Zach pointed out and Daniel nodded in agreement.

"It definitely did, it's not like Corbyn and Christina still have feelings for each other or anything." Daniel laughed, causing Corbyn to start laughing as well.

"No way." Corbyn shook his head, "This girl right here is the love of my life," He pointed to Rylan with a grin on his face. "And I wouldn't change her for anything." Corbyn told them. Rylan's face flushed red as she smiled sheepishly at him. She still wasn't used to Corbyn saying things like that, which made her smile every time he did.

"ew."

"jONAH!" Gabbie exclaimed, hitting him upside the head.

"Okay maybe I'd change her obnoxious obsession with French fries and spencer reid, but after that, nothing else." Corbyn joked and Rylan just pointed at him.

"Don't test your limits besson." She narrowed her eyes at him.

It was safe to say that everyone considered things to be back to normal. But there was one thing that was bothering Rylan deep inside of her. Her virginity was something she cherished, and she wanted to lose it to someone she loved. Something inside of her knew that it was going to be to Corbyn, she was sure of it. But it was something about Corbyn losing his to her best friend that bothered her. What if when they finally had sex it wouldn't matter to him as much as it mattered to her? She just didn't know how to feel about it all, if she should be upset now because she was going back to feeling like she wasn't good enough.

As the group continued talking, Corbyn thought about it. He knew Rylan well enough that he knew what happened when she was quiet. Being quiet like how she was now meant that she was overthinking something. When Rylan would overthink, it always ended in her feeling like she wasn't good enough, even through the countless of times Corbyn reminded her that she was. To Corbyn she was more than good enough, she was more than he deserved, in reality.

When it came to the topic of sex, it took six awkward tries of the conversation before they spoke about it like normal people. The awkwardness came mostly from Rylan because she didn't know how to approach the subject. As a couple they had to be open about those kinds of things, so they knew they needed to speak about eventually. The pair had come to a conclusion that when they felt like it was going to happen, it was going to happen. That was their take on it. Corbyn knew that there was no pushing that, and he didn't want to push it either. He knew that Rylan needed to wait until she was ready, but that didn't mean he could mess with her innocent mind. I mean he took it as a perfect opportunity to mess with her and take her mind off whatever she was overthinking.

"Don't call me besson." He whispered to her as everyone tried to agree on what movie they were going to watch as the uber eats came with their chick-fil-a.

"why not?" Rylan drew her eyebrows together, "it's your last name."

"It drives me crazy so don't do it again." Corbyn playfully narrowed his eyes at her and Rylan just kept her confused expression.

"all I said was be—" She began but Corbyn cut her off with putting his hand over her mouth.

"nope." He shook his head and Rylan just raised her eyebrow.

"I don't get it." She spoke into his hand and Corbyn just laughed before placing a quick kiss to her lips.

"Please stay innocent forever Rye." He told her, wrapping his arms around her and the look of confusion came back onto Rylan's face.

"Wait now I want to know." Rylan frowned and Corbyn pushed some hair out of her face.

"You'll know, eventually, but for now, let's enjoy your innocence."
