( I MISS YOU, I'M SORRY )
"ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO LEAVE?" Gabbie questioned and Rylan nodded as she closed her suitcase. "They're all going to ask." She told Rylan who just pulled the suitcase off the bed.
"I can't face him, and he needs his focus now that concerts have started," Rylan spoke dryly, starting to walk out the room. Gabbie nodded understandingly following the girl out the room.
"What time is your flight?" The new mother asked, and Rylan looked down at her apple watch.
"Um, in an hour."
"Hey," Gabbie spoke as she followed her out the house. "You guys are going to figure this out." The younger girl reassured, and Rylan felt tears come to her eyes once again.
"Hopefully." She spoke, putting her suitcase in the car. "Jack should be here in any minute to drop me off."
"Yeah, he texted me." Gabbie nodded, messing around with the bracelets on her wrist.
"you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Gabbie asked and Rylan shook her head.
"They'll seriously question it if we both leave. I'll be fine Gabs." She reassured once again and Gabbie frowned.
"I just don't understand why you won't tell anyone, they're all mad at you for kissing Daniel." She told her as they both waited for Jack.
"They have to be with Corbyn for the next month and a half." Rylan shrugged, "And I can't do that to him."
"Rylan, he cheated on you."
"And I cheated on him," Rylan said quietly and Gabbie sighed.
"have you spoken to Daniel?"
"Nope. And I don't plan on it either."
"Rylan you have to speak to him," Gabbie told her and Rylan just shook her head.
"I should, I don't have to." Jack pulled up and parked the car in the driveway before getting out.
"Are you ready?" He questioned looking at Rylan and she just nodded. Gabbie pulled her best friend into a hug. Gabbie knew that she would see Rylan in a week's time, but she felt bad for leaving the girl alone.
"it's only a week, I'll be fine." She told her, already knowing what the younger girl was thinking. Gabbie let go of Rylan before throwing Jack the keys to the car so he could take Rylan.
"Come on let's get you home," Jack told her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as the two walked to the car.
"yo." Jonah popped into the dressing room, leaning on the doorway as he looked between his four bandmates, Gabbie, and Lavender. "have you guys seen Rylan?" he questioned, which caused Jack and Gabbie to both look at each other.
"She's not in the green room?" Zach asked, looking over to Jonah, who just shook his head.
"Maybe she stayed in the rental home, you know with everything going on." Daniel's voice got softer as he spoke, looking away from Jonah.
"She's not there." Gabbie shook her head, which caused Jonah to raise her eyebrow. "Trust me she's not."
"Then where the hell is she?" Zach questioned, turning around and putting a shirt on. All the boys were still getting ready, the only one who was finished being Jonah.
"Don't you think if I knew, I wouldn't be standing her asking?" Jonah deadpanned and Zach rolled his eyes before grabbing his phone and dialing Rylan's phone number. Jack scratched the back of his neck and watched as Zach waited for Rylan to pick up.
"Hi! This is Rylan, if you're Zach stop calling me, If you're Corbyn I'm probably calling you back in .2 seconds, and if you're my mom, HI MOM! And if you're anyone else, I'm sorry you actually sat through that." Rylan's voicemail rang through Zach's ear, causing him to furrowed his eyebrows.
"She didn't pick up." He frowned.
"that's too bad," Jack spoke slowly, which caused his girlfriend to pinch his arm. Jonah glanced at the couple, raising his eyebrows as he stared them down.
"For the people closest to her," The older Frantzich started, causing Corbyn to look up with a frown on his face, "You two are awfully calm about this." Jonah walked up to the two of them, causing Gabbie to cough awkwardly.
"I'm calling her again," Zach stated, dialing her number but this time putting it on speaker. When her voicemail rang once again, Daniel rolled his eyes.
"You're annoying, she probably doesn't want to talk to you." Daniel scoffed, pulling out his own phone.
"Oh, but she wants to talk to you?" Zach glared and Daniel just mimicked him. The phone call went to voicemail again, which caused Gabbie and Jack to look at each other. They promised that they wouldn't say anything, but they didn't want the four other boys worrying before the show.
"I'll call her, maybe she'll pick up." Corbyn tried but Jack pursed his lips before speaking to stop him.
"She's not going to pick up any of your calls." He told them and the other four boys looked at him.
"How do you know?" Zach questioned and Gabbie bit her lip nervously.
"Because she's currently on a flight back to LA." She told them, and then all hell broke loose.
"I'm sorry what?!" Jonah yelled.
"She left two hours ago, and we weren't supposed to say anything," Jack told them and Gabbie fixed the blanket that was covering Lavender in her stroller.
"You guys just kept this from us?" Zach frowned and Jonah glared over to Daniel.
"You did this." He seethed out, pointing over to the blonde boy.
"She kissed me. Not the other way around Jonah." Daniel reminded him and Jonah glared at him.
"Maybe you shouldn't have kissed back."
"Guys we won't solve anything by arguing," Corbyn spoke, but no one heard him over all the yelling.
"You know what Jonah, maybe you shouldn't always make Rylan the victim." Daniel spat and now Zach was glaring. "She kissed me and two seconds after my girlfriend broke up with me."
"You weren't even happy in the relationship." Zach slightly shoved Daniel, who just scoffed.
"Maybe stop making yourself look like the victim and look at what you did wrong." Jonah then proceeded to shove Daniel, who just glared at him.
"Guys!" Corbyn interrupted them. All the arguments stopped, everyone looking at the boy, "Daniel isn't the reason Rylan left, I am." He told them and Jonah furrowed his eyebrows.
"What?" He let go of Daniel before turning to look at Corbyn with a confused face.
"What are you talking about?" Zach questioned.
"it's the same reason why she kissed you." He told Daniel and Jonah pursed his lips.
"Is this also the same reason you guys were avoiding each other since the party?" Zach asked and Corbyn nodded slightly.
"Well, are you just going to stand there, or are you going to tell us?" Jonah snapped and Corbyn shook his head.
"I can't."
"What do you mean you can't?" Daniel questioned.
"I mean I physically can't. I need to focus on our performance for the people out there, and if we start talking about this, I'm not going to be able to do that." He spoke softly, causing Jonah to raise his eyebrow.
"What did you do?"
"I can't do this." Corbyn shook his head, walking past them and leaving the room.
"Well being the fact that you two are being super quiet, you knew." Daniel looked at Jack and Gabbie, who just glanced at each other.
"It isn't our place." Gabbie told them, patting Jack's shoulder before going to follow after Corbyn. "I'm going to go check on him."
"What the hell happened at that party?" Zach turned to Jack who just played with his nose ring, a nervous tick he had. The boys knew this, so when they saw him doing it they knew that he was holding something back from them.
"lots of things," Jack answered shortly, looking down nervously at his child.
"What is wrong with Corbyn and Rylan right now jack?" Jonah pressed and Jack looked in between his three friends.
"They're broken up right now." Jack blurted out, before slapping his hand over his mouth when he knew he told them exactly what Rylan told him not to say.
"I'm sorry what?!"
"Come again?"
"Can you repeat that?" All three of them exclaimed at the same time and Jack panicked, looking down at his sleeping child.
"Oh look, Lav needs a diaper change, better take her to the bathroom." Jack rushed to grab the handle of the stroller and rushed him and his child out of the room.
"Jack!" Daniel called after him, but the younger boy just ignored him as walked quickly down the hallway.
"It's no use." Jonah shook his head, and Zach frowned.
"We all heard him say broken up right?" the youngest questioned and Daniel nodded.
"I'm scared."
"Corbyn." Gabbie spoke through the door, where Corbyn locked himself behind.
The boy was trying himself not to start crying because he knew the moment a tear dropped, they wouldn't be able to stop for hours. Corbyn was a rather emotional person, something he always found rather odd about himself. Over the years he learned how to push them down, but that always depended on the situation. Right now, the only thing he was thinking about was how he hurt the one person he loved more than what he did.
"Corbyn, open the door." Gabbie told him, and Corbyn just shook his head as he leaned on the wall next to the door, trying to calm himself down.
"Give me like two seconds to recompose myself." He croaked out and the younger girl sighed before checking the doorknob.
"idiot." She laughed lightly before opening the door when she noticed it was unlocked. "hey," she spoke softly when she saw him standing there with his lips pursed.
"I really screwed up this time." He responded in the same tone of voice and Gabbie let out a sigh.
"Corbynโ"
"with all the stuff we've been through in the past few months, all I do is constantly push her way," he shook his head and Gabbie just decided to let him speak so he could get it all out of his system. "I love that girl more than anything in the world, but I couldn't even tell that to her. It's like I constantly hold back, and I don't know why." He tells her.
"Corbyn you're just scared of love, just like she is. You're pouring guilt on yourself way more than needed." Gabbie paused as she walked to stand next to him.
"Gabbie, I almost slept with Maeve. And yeah sure, finding out Rylan kissed Daniel did sting, but catching us had to hurt bad." Corbyn frowned, feeling the tears sting his eyes once more. "I didn't see it; I didn't witness it firsthand." He shook his head.
"Corbyn, the way you feel right now, is exactly how she's feeling. Rylan is making herself feel guilty way more than needed." Gabbie told him and Corbyn blinked a couple of times to keep his tears at bay. "You both just need to work through it."
"This one is different, we can't just fix it with I miss you, I'm sorry, and I love you." He shook his head and Gabbie turned her head to look at him.
"You're right, it's going to take way more than an apology." She nodded, "But both of you are so in love with each other, you could barely spend too much time apart. I already know that you guys are going to work through it because I know my best friends." She reassured him.
"I don't know Gabs, I should just give her time before we speak about this." He told her, sniffling slightly and Gabbie nodded slightly.
"Are you sure she's the one who needs time?" She asked and Corbyn shrugged.
"Maybe it's both of us."
"Your Corbyn and Rylan," Gabbie started, finally turning to face him completely. "You guys work through anything." She told him and Corbyn pursed his lips as he turned on his phone just to see a picture of him and Rylan that they had taken a couple of days before on the beach placed as his lock screen.
"I'm not sure if we can work through this."
