"CORBYN YOU'RE SICK." rylan told him one more time. the blonde was already tired of the statement, having heard it too many times since they left the house.

he knew he was, he just didn't want to admit to rylan that he wasn't feeling well because it was their anniversary and he wanted it to be a good day. they had been together for a year, sort of. he just wanted to prove that nothing really could ruin them- even something as dumb as him being sick now.

maybe he should've listened to her when she said that if he stuck around her he would get sick. he just felt icky and tired and could barely breath because of how congested he was.

"i'm fine- come on." Corbyn just slipped his hand into her's as they began walking down the side walk.

"I know that you want today to be special but you probably have a fever and now I'm worried." she frowned as the walked, their hands swinging between them slightly.

"rylan I'm fine." he rolled his eyes and Rylan stopped walked, causing Corbyn's hand to be yanked back so he could stop walking as well. "why are we stopping?" he asked as he turned to face her and Rylan raised her eyebrow.

"no you're not." she told him, bring her hand up to his cheeks. her hands were cold to him, causing him to flinch slightly when they came in contact with his skin.

"Rylan." Corbyn whined as she pushed a piece of hair out of his face.

"you're pale!" she took notice, completely ignoring his complaints.

"I'm fine come on I want to go eat-" he pointed over to the restaurant that was down the street where he had been planning to go.

"the moment you don't feel good we're going back home." she told him and he nodded, though he knew he wasn't going to listen to her either way.

"alright alright, now lets go." corbyn practically dragged her towards the restaurant, which caused a small laugh to come out of her lips.

the two of them walked slowly, in no rush to eat really, just speaking anything and everything. corbyn just didn't want her to stop walking, because the moment she did, she was going to say something about him not feeling well.

really they could be at home in their pajama's and it would be a good enough day but corbyn didn't want that for that day. he just wanted a calm no drama day where him and rye just went out.

just the two of them, no friends, no non-friends, no random people- well yes random people because they were out in public, but that was besides the point.

well the calm lasted up until they finally got the restaurant, and spotted the two people they did not want to see.

how amazing was it? the day they were celebrating their relationship they see the one person who almost ruined it all.

"uh oh." rylan breathed out and corbyn furrowed his eyebrows, turning to look at her.

"no uh oh- take that uh oh back please." he shook his head and rylan just breathed out, pointing slightly over to the two girls who were entering the restaurant. "uh oh- okay onto chick fil a!" corbyn turned around going to pull her with him but rylan only yanked him back and walking back towards the restaurant.

"no no no rye we're going towards trouble! it's our anniversary remember?!"he whined and rylan rolled her eyes, getting towards the front desk.

"besson for two please." she smiled at the girl who just nodded.

"yeah just over here!" the lady pointed and corbyn pursed his lips, seeing the table was near that of those who they were trying to avoid.

"why are we doing this rye?" he whispered harshly as they walked towards their table.

"because if we show them that we have a problem with them she's gonna think that what she did ruined our relationship." rylan shot back, watching him as he let go of her hand to pull out the chair for her.

"she sort of did for a while-"

"corbyn!"

"okay okay! show her she has no hold on us alright." corbyn recapped, just kissing the girl's cheek. really on the inside he was praying that maeve didn't make one advance towards them. he really barely had the energy for the date that he was out on, so some stupid interruption was something he really couldn't handled.

"they spotted us." corbyn hummed, as he sit down.

"ignore them." she hummed back, looking through the menu.

corbyn decided she was right, so he just pretended as if they weren't there. it worked for the most part, his girlfriend being enough to occupy his attention. their food had come and they ate, talking about random things just as they always had when they were together.

their conversations were ranging from the show they were watching on netflix, towards zach and his love life. 

"oh hello." maeve had pushed rylan's shoulder from behind causing her to almost spill her drink. "fancy meeting y'all here!" she smiled and corbyn scoffed, narrowing his eyes as he looked up at her.

"can you just do us the favor and leave us alone please! i'm trying to enjoy my date with my girlfriend." he smiled bitterly before turning back to rylan and pretending maeve wasn't even standing this.

"rye I don't even know how you could go back to him! you know knowing he would willingly cheat." maeve 'tsked' and rylan rolled her eyes.

"you sure it was willingly?" she looked up at maeve who just glared back down at the girl.

"you know what you guys aren't even worth my time." maeve put her hand up and corbyn smiled at her again.

"that's great because you're really not worth ours." he told her watching maeve purse her lips out of frustration. rylan had to cover her mouth to hold in her laughter as she watched maeve want to say something before going away angrily.

"did you see her face?" corbyn let out a laugh and rylan nodded, the two of them high fiving.

"she looked like she was about to punch you." rylan responded and corbyn laughed again, the two of them being set off in a fit of barely being able to breath because out how hard they were laughing.

eventually they calmed down, continuing to eat their food. it was quiet for a while, a comfortable silence that wasn't awkward, which told corbyn things were back to normal- their relationship being strong we than ever because someone like maeve could hurt them anymore.

"you okay?" corbyn asked, just to make sure she was. she did see maeve for the first time since that night in hawaii, it could've set something off in her.

"yeah" she smiled, corbyn frowning right after.

"okay that's great but i'm not." corbyn gagged, covering his mouth before getting up and hurrying to the restaurants bathroom.

"oh my-" rylan's eyes widened, going off after him, stopping at the front desk first to pay for their food. when she got to the men's room she stepped back remembering she couldn't just walk in.

she just knocked on the door, not knowing if there was anyone else in there. it was a public men's room! what could she do?

"corbyn? are you okay?"

"yeah." she headed him respond and she put her hand on the handle, debating walking in or not.

"can i come in?" she asked and corbyn, stuck his head out the stall to make sure no one else was in the bathroom.

"yeah there's no one else." he spoke before grabbing a piece of toilet paper to wipe around his mouth, wanting to throw up again just because of the foul taste that was left in his mouth. he just leaned back on the stall, his head being supported by the wall, as his arms rested in his knees.

"you okay?" she questioned and corbyn laughed as she crouched down in front of him.

"so maybe I'm a little sick." he told her and Rylan laughed, getting back up and reaching her hand out.

"come on let's get you home."
