"You are not coming with me." Annabelle declared, walking out of her room carrying a luggage with Kol behind her. He had been bugging her all day about joining her on visiting her family. He had overheard the conversation between her and Beatrice.
Kol rolled his eyes, following her down the stairs "Why not? I guarantee they'll love me. I'm quite the charmer." He winked as they reached the bottom of the stairs and the Originals turned to them.
"That's not what I'm worried about." Annabelle mumbled and sighed, turning to face Kol with a guilty expression "I just don't want you around them..." she admitted.
Kols face dropped "You don't trust me." He grumbled. The realization hitting him.
"Look, you didn't hesitate on killing Sophia." Annabelle shrugged, leaving her luggage by the door then walking to the kitchen with Kol still behind her "I'm not taking any chances."
"Are you still onto that?" Kol scoffed as she began making coffee and cooking herself breakfast. Turkey bacon and eggs. "That was about a month or two, you seriously have to move on, Belle."
Annabelle rolled her eyes "Look, it's not even necessary for you to come. My familys boring."
"Then I'll be sure to entertain you." Kol flashed a charming smile and she shook her head "I've been a vampire for a thousand years and your not even a vampire, I'll be able to help your sister."
Annabelle didn't look away from her breakfast as she broke an egg "You were listing to my conversation? Thats private!" She scolded.
Rebekah shared glances with her two brothers before looking at the two "Would you stop bickering like an old married couple and explain to us what's going on?"
"My sister is a newborn vampire." Annabelle explained, grabbing a pan and slipping the eggs in along with the bacon "And she needs me— although she's a bitch, she's still my sister and I want to help her." She turned to Kol with a glare "Kol wants to come."
"That's a good idea." Rebekah nodded. She knew Kol fancied the witch and she wanted to help on getting them together. It was obvious Annabelle shared the same feelings towards Kol but she didn't realize her feelings yet "Kol should go with you, he'll be able to help your sister."
Kol smiled in triumph "Thank you Rebekah." He looked to Annabelle, raising a brow.
Annabelle huffed as she got a fork and fought the bacon to her lips, munching on it "Fine. But I'm driving." She pointed a finger to him and he nodded as she continued eating.
When Annabelle finished, she pulled out files and walked over to Rebekah, Klaus and Elijah. She set the flies in front of them and they all eyed it curiously as she opened the files with several parchments.
"These are trackers of the gang." She showed it to them "Each of them has their names. If they try leaving, call me and I'll handle it. Okay?"

"I'm sorry but we only have one room available with a king sized bed." The secretary smiled apologetically at the two "But that shouldn't be much of a problem since you two are a couple." She falsely stated.
Annabelle chuckled and shook her head, ignoring the butterflies that were currently flying around in her stomach"Yeah, no." She bit her lip "We'll just find another hotel—"
"One room sounds good." Kol flashed a charming smirk as Annabelle looked at him with wide eyes as he put an arm around her waist "Could you send our bags to our room, oh and be a dear. Put this on the house..." he looked to her name tag "...Mary." He compelled, his pupils dilating.
The secretary nodded "Sure. Here are the room keycards for your room." She handed them the cards "How long will your stay be?" She asked.
"We'll be gone by morning." Annabelle told her, tucking her own keycard inside her pocket "Erm, thanks." She and Kol walked away. The moment they left, she smacked his hand from her waist "I hate you."
Kol rolled his eyes as they walked outside the hotel "You're exaggerating." He mumbled and looked to he with confusion "Why are you taking me outside the hotel?" He asked.
Annabelle shrugged "Our room is still getting ready and I wanna go on a walk. If you want, you could waist in the lobby." She suggested but Kol didn't answer, indicating he'll walk with her.
The brunette sighed and closed her eyes, breathing in the fresh air. Annabelle enjoyed the quiet and nature, it always found a way to relax her and she needed relaxation. The past two months— almost three— of fake dating Jeremy, casting multiple spells to help the Originals.
Whether she was cloaking herself and Rebekah or casting a protection spell or dealing with Kols anger issues— especially the time he was planning on killing her for casting a boundary spell on him to keep him in his room. She was exhausted. She still had to use her magic and she knew this wasn't the end of the drama.
With Beatrice becoming what she hated most in this world that caused her to abandon her family, she knew her sister wouldn't handle it properly. Annabelle knew Beatrice deserved it, she left Stacey for becoming something to survive and left with her boyfriend but she still loved her sister. They were still family. Family over anything.
Kol overhead Annabelle on the phone and speaking on the time she ran away with her sisters boyfriend, he didn't understand why Annabelle still chose to help her. But then again, Kol didn't have a say on it since he slept with Katherine Pierce. The lass his older brother is in love with.
I feel bad for Kol. He never understood what family or feelings meant. Every time his siblings didn't know what to do with him whenever he felt emotions or confusion, they would choose to dagger him like it's the only solution. They wouldn't care enough to ask how he's doing but would choose the easiest way out. How does that make them family if they repeatedly betray each other? Maybe thats the power of living for a thousand years, learning that despite all the betrayal your family has caused you, they will always be the ones to pick you back up Annabelle thought.
"You seem to be thinking deep." Kol bought her out of her thoughts and she looked to him "Tell me what you're thinking about." He mused as they walked by the hotels swimming pool. Kol glanced at her before staring back in front of him.
Annabelle shook her head "I could ask you the same thing." She hummed "What're you thinking about?" She returned the question and he chuckled.
Kol didn't answer, instead, he stopped walking and looked up at the moon "It's full moon." He acknowledged and she looked up with a nod, a small smile playing on her pink lips.
"I love the moon." Annabelle sighed, staring up at it in awe. "It's always given me the sense of comfort. It proves that even when your empty, you'll eventually grow whole and beautiful, no matter how long it takes. I guess I always held onto that whenever I felt down." She shrugged dreamily.
Kol nodded, looking to her and she noticed it so she turned to him. She smiled as Kol smirked wickedly "Do you know how to swim?" He asked and she raised a brow.
"Yes, why—" Kol pushed her in the pool and she gasped loudly as he laughed, watching her surface back up and push her hair back.
"Kol! It's cold!" Annabelle yelled and put her hand out, with her magic, Kol fell in the pool and she began laughing as surfaced up and shook his hair making the water sprinkles fly around. "Not very nice, is it?" She asked with a giggle.
"No, I happen to like swimming." Kol winked and she smiled, shaking her head in disbelief.
Annabelle then had a question pop to her mind "Wait, can you use your vampire speed to swim fast?" She asked.
"I don't know." Kol smirked "Only one way to find out." He began to swim after her and she yelped, quickly swimming away with giggles escaping her lips. Kol quickly caught her and she laughed.
"I guess I can."
Annabelle smiled up at him, breathing heavily from swimming so fast but Kol wasn't out of breath. "Vampire privileges much?" She asked.
Kol noticed her dimples, it was only on her right cheek, not on her left. He also noticed how she always parted her hair from the middle, never form the left or right side. He noticed how her eyes lit up whenever Rebekah mentioned food. He noticed how in the sunlight, her eyes looked icy blue instead of it's beautiful teal color.
"I'm not one for labels." Kol smirked, admiring her from close. He could feel and hear her heart hammering against his chest, he liked the effect he held on her.
"Shame." Annabelle mumbled until she realized how close they were "Oh!" She quickly backed away from him and he rolled his eyes as she suddenly felt awkward "The room must be ready." She walked up the swimming pool ladder.
-
Annabelles eyes flutter open, feeling arms wrapped around her. Her eyes widen. Kol was supposed to be sleeping on the floor. She looks at his arms as he pulls her closer. She froze, cheeks heating up. Slowly, she tries to take of his arms but Kol lets out a moan of annoyance and tightens his grip on her.
"Don't bother." Kols gruff voice whispers to her ear and she froze. "I'm to comfortable." he whispers, nuzzling his head to her neck. She sighs and closes her eyes, shoulders relaxing.
A/n: sorry it's short and bad but I'm in a rush! I'll try to update ASAP
