Annabelle went down the stairs, playing with the necklace Kol had gotten her. She sighed dreamily at it until she heard a guys voice. It didn't belong to Kol, she knew his voice but it was slightly familiar. Her eyebrows furrowed as she heard her mother's laughter trail after the guys voice.

"Invisique." Annabelle whispered quietly and fully went down the stairs to see her mother chatting the a man. That man happened to be "Alaric Saltzman..?" She questioned, making herself visible and the two jump.

Her eyebrows furrowed as Aurelia seemed even more confused "You two know each other?" She asked, her eyes flickering between the two in confusion. Annabelle tilts her head playfully at Alaric as he seemed nervous.

"Do we?"

Alaric nodded quickly before Annabelle could speak "I'm helping her with her online lessons in Mystic Falls. Since I'm a history teacher, I thought it would be nice to help the new girl in town." He lied, sending Annabelle a look and she shrugged.

Kol walked down the stairs and looked at Alaric "Well, if it isn't the vampire hunter by night and teacher by day." He mused with a smirk and it fell silent as Aurelias head slowly turned to Alaric who glared at Kol.

The realization hit Annabelle and she put a hand to her mouth, covering her laugh. Kol leaned down closer "She doesn't know, does she?" He asked with a whisper, referring to Aurelia. Annabelle nodded, still covering her laughter "And I just told her, didn't I?"

"Yup."

"You're a vampire hunter?" Aurelia asked Alaric in disbelief and Alaric seemed slightly confused but with an innocent nod.

"Well, I'm best friends with a vampire, I take care of a vampire and I'm basically surrounded by vampires in my daily routine of life so it wouldn't really be a difference— I'm not going to hurt Stacey." Alaric assured after his ramble.

Aurelia raised a brow "How did you know she was a vampire?" She continued to question him and Alaric glared at Kol, once again before turning back to Aurelia.

"I saw her drinking from a blood bag." Alaric admitted then took Aurelias hand on his, giving her hand a small comforting squeeze "This doesn't change anything. I know you're a witch just like Annabelle."

"How did you know she was a witch?" Aurelia continued to question him but didn't remove his hands from hers.

"Mom, you know the group that wanted the cure for vampirism then killed Beatrice for killing one of their brothers?" Annabelle asked and Aurelia slowly nodded "Yeah, he's in that group but he never really did anything to harm us so you don't need to break up."

Aurelia looked to Alaric who looked down to his shoes, she gave his hand a squeeze "You didn't have anything to do with it, right?" She asked, raising a brow.

Alaric looked up and met her eyes, he smiled softly "Of course not!" He shook his head.

Annabelle grimaced slightly "I'm going to pack, Kol and I are going back to Mystic in a few." She informed and turned on her heels then walked away.

Once Annabelle and Kol made it back to Mystic Falls, she decided to get a treat from Mystic Grill. She and Kol would share glances in the hotel or in the car ride. She would find herself slightly blushing but pushed the thought out of her head and focused on her order.

Once her milkshake arrived, she smiled at the cashier who seemed to be about a year older. Annabelle wanted to work again, just like she worked in Denver. "Hey, is there any job applications?" She asked the cashier.

The cashier smiled at her "We have an opened job at a waitress if that works for you..." she offered as she handed Annabelle a straw for her drink.

Annabelle nodded "That would be nice..." she agreed "Um...is there an interview and when do I start?" She asked, nervous.

"Interview? This isn't a big company, there's no interview. All you need is to sign these papers and you can start tomorrow." The cashier gave her a pen and papers. Annabelle began signing after reading the contract "I'm Jessie." She smiled.

"Annabelle." Annabelle introduced then handed her the papers "I'll see you tomorrow, Jessie." She waved and began walking away, smiling at her feet. She wanted to turn her life back to normal.

Just then, she bumped into someone and they dropped all their stuff, she frowned and looked to see Elena making her jaw clenched as she tried to quickly get away from the vampire, in fear of killing her in front of so many people but Elena quickly stepped in front of her.

"Anna, I'm so sorry. I don't know how to make it up to you, I wasn't in my head." Elena apologized sincerely and Annabelle scoffed, about to walk away but Elena stepped in front her. "Besides, Kol already hurt me."

"What?"

Elena raised a brow but shook her head. "I promise to never hurt you or anyone else but the Originals killed one of my friends from school. If they keep on living, I'll lose more people. I want them dead. What happened to the truce?

"It ended the moment my sister killed your brother." Annabelle walked away and went out of the Grill but Elena grabbed her wrist but this time, Annabelle didn't stop herself from flickering her wrist. Elena broke her knees and groaned in pain.

"Don't touch me." She walked away.

Elena sighed and looked around to see no one was around the area, with a breathe of relief, she sped away she went over to the Salvatore Boarding house where Bonnie laid down on the couch, next to a fireplace, reading a book with a relaxed and calm expression.

Bonnie looked up to see Elena and smiled slightly before looking back down to the book. Elena sat down in a chair next to her. "I need your help..." she started and Bonnie sighed, closing the book.

"With what?" Bonnie bluntly asked, crossing her arms and snuggling closer to the blanket. It was only getting colder and was about to snow it a couple of weeks.

"I want to kill Annabelle and the Mikaelsons by bringing back the two people who hate the Mikaelsons most."

Rebekah and Annabelle decided to go shopping together since it's almost winter and they wanted winter clothing, mostly Rebekah since she was the fashionable one in their friendship but Annabelle didn't mind shopping. Rebekah— who did not have the patience to wait for everyone to finish shopping—compelled the store to themselves.

"Whats going on between you and Kol?" Rebekah asked as she flickered through the clothing racks, her head tilted to the side, her back slightly arched to eye the clothings as she spoke.

"He's eyeing you like some sort of meal."

"I don't know if I'm supposed to be scared or if I'm supposed to be a flattered." Annabelle mumbled, eyeing the piece of clothing in front of her then bringing it to her chest to see how it would look, she tilted her head and smiled with a nod.

Rebekah laughed "You should be flattered..." her laughter died down and she looked to Annabelle with seriousness in her voice  "...you know Kol has not once fallen in love." She informed.

"Okay...." Annabelle shrugged as she began walking to the changing room with Rebekah trailing behind her. "Whats that got to do with me?"

Rebekah raised a brow with a chuckle as she shook her head "You don't see it, do you?" She asked, chewing on her bottom lip.

"Why does everyone keep telling me that?" Annabelle questioned in annoyance "Nothing is going on between me and Kol Mikaelson!" She declared.

"Then why are you so angry?" Rebekah teased her with a smirk.

"I'm not angry..." Annabelle lowered her voice and took a deep breath "I'm just...frustrated..I guess." She mumbled.

Rebekah smirked "You're frustrated because of Kol or because you aren't with Kol...?" She questioned, her voice in a teasing tone.

"Can we please just...shop?" Annabelle asked, in hope to change the subject.

"Okay, fine but this conversation isn't over."

-

Annabelle went on her first day to work at the Mystic Grill. She didn't mind being a waitress and Jessie would tease her on the guys that were staring at her but Annabelle wouldn't spare them a glance. She wore blue high waisted jeans and a white tank top with a mint green cardigan that held her name tag.

"I got...$30.25 tips." Annabelle smiled widely in triumph as she and Jessie cleaned up the grill and set the table.

"Woah. I got $28.15. Meh, close enough. Had a bunch of douches winking at telling me 'To keep the change'." Jessie mocked a mans voice with a small smile as Annabelle laughed. "I can tell you used to work in a cafe since you already know the drill and rules."

Annabelle nodded "Yeah but it wasn't as crowded as it is here. It's crazy." She smiled as she cleaned up a table and picked up the plates.

-

Annabelle entered Kols room to see him struggling to take off his blouse and she shook her head, laughing slightly making him turn to her and his eyes lit up when she closed the door behind her and walked closer to him while he watched attentively.

"Elena said you hurt her." Annabelle spoke as she began unbuttoning his blouse while he gazed down at her, his eyes watching her lips move. "Care to elaborate or do I have to play messenger?"

Kol cleared his throat. "She must've mistaken me for Elijah, I didn't lay a finger on her." He lied.

Annabelle raised a brow. "I know when you lie, Kol." She rolled her eyes, chuckling. "I'm not gonna be mad, now I seem like some crazy mom."

"Couldn't be crazier than mine." Kol joked and she chuckled.

"What did you do?" She asked, looking at him.

"Well," Kol looked deep in thought as she reaches the last button and finished it. "I staked her palms, stomach and knee to the wall," he mused, thinking about the night "Got into her head then made her dance to the music— she was already crying but that's no surprise." He rolled his eyes.

"I..um..cut her then made her drink vervain and washed it over her hair, then I cut her stomach, pulled out her spleen and made her feed on it and then I—"

"I get it." Annabelle cut him off, grimacing. "How charming."

Kol slipped off the blouse, keeping his eyes on Annabelle. "Anything else? Want any torture tips or methods?" He asked, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Oh—" Annabelle shook her head "—no, I'll just get going." She walked away and out of the room.

What is Elena planning? Who is she going to bring back from the dead?

Wait is this a cliffhanger?
