ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 1

"I've considered your request for a truce." His eyes squint at the brunette in front of him. "Request denied." The lass slams the door on his face making his hands curl up into fists. "I'm sorry. I've already been invited in!" He yelled, kicking the door open with his foot.

When he enters, he can't find anybody "Hide and seek? Fine by me." He walks past the staircase, looking for the Gilbert siblings. His phone rings and he pulls out his phone from his pockets to see it's his older brother.

The one that had daggered him for centuries. His jaw clenches before swiping on the green button.

"Well, if it isn't the happy homicidal maniac." The original hybrid sarcastically mused.

Kol decided to ignore Klaus' statement. "Did you know that your darling former blood bag and her brother are trying to kill me?" He asked and his brother tensed.

"What?"

Kol scoffed at the confusion in his brothers voice. "Don't pretend like you're not in on it. Your obsession to find the cure clearly trumps any sibling loyalty you once felt." He spat with venom.

Klaus allows the information to sink into his mind and he could feel the blood boil. Of course they wanted to kill Kol. How could he have even thought of trusting them? "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I'm going to rip off Jeremy's arm and kill Elena just for sport. Then I'm coming for you." Kol hangs up and starts walking. Elena is at the top of the staircase with a crossbow and she shoots Kol in the leg. He groans in pain. She disappears upstairs with vampire speed. Kol pulls the arrow out of his leg and goes after her.

Elena sped to her bedroom. She pushes her dresser in front of her door, but struggles as Kol pushes back. Kol manages to shove the door open and Elena falls to the ground. With vampire speed she runs into the bathroom, shuts the doors behind her and locks it. Kol kicks open the door and finds Elena gone. He punches through the other door and finds Elena in Jeremy's room with Jeremy. Jeremy shoots Kol with a stake gun. Kol catches the stake.

"Missed!" Jeremy shoots again, and Kol catches it with his other hand. Elena fires a pistol at him, shooting him multiple times.

"Go!" Elena screams at Jermey. Jeremy runs, and she continues shooting Kol. Kol throws one of the stakes, hitting Elena in the thigh, and she cries out. Elena looks up, but Kol is gone. Jeremy is running through the hallway when Kol appears and punches him.

Kol throws Jeremy down the stairs, and Jeremy groans in pain. Elena jumps on Kol's back, but he tosses her against the wall. He rips out one of the posts from the railing and impales Elena through the abdomen, pinning her to the wall. She gasps in shock and pain, completely immobilized. Kol walks over to Jeremy, who is still grunting in pain on the stair landing.

"Now...about that arm." Kol drags Jeremy down the stairs by his feet. Elena pulls feebly at the stake, but can't move it an inch.

Elena is still trying to get the stake out of her abdomen, but it won't budge. Improvising, she braces her hands against the wall and pulls her body off of the stake. Downstairs, Kol has Jeremy strapped to the counter in the kitchen by his arms. Jeremy struggles against his bonds. Kol pulls a cleaver out of the knife block.

"Now, like I said, I don't fancy the hunter's curse, so I'm just going to chop off your arm. But don't worry, I'll heal you right up with a bit of blood after." Kol holds Jeremy's head against the counter. "Sorry about the sting. Now, which arm is it? Is it left or right? I'll just chop off both to be safe."

Jeremy closes his eyes as Kol raises the knife over him. Suddenly Elena appears and grabs Kol; the cleaver misses Jeremy and instead slices through one of Jeremy's restraints. Elena slams the cleaver into Kol's chest, shoving him against the counter. Jeremy releases his other arm and rushes to the sink. He grabs the spray hose and sprays Kol with the vervain water. Kol cries out in pain as the water hits him; Elena moves away. Jeremy keeps the water on Kol, and Elena takes the white oak stake from Kol's jacket, throwing it to Jeremy.

"Jeremy, now!" Jeremy catches the stake and stabs Kol through the heart with it. Kol screams and bursts into flame. He continues to scream as he staggers through the kitchen and falls to the floor, dead.

Kol could feel himself slowly leave his body, flashes of his life racing through his mind. He turned around once he felt no weight on his body, feeling like a feather. Once he turned around; he noticed his mother, staring at him with a sad smile and she out a hand on his arm, rubbing it softly.

"Mother." He mumbled, looking back at his body to see Klaus standing by the doorway, staring at his body with glassy eyes and a horrified expression, he swallowed the lump in his throat. "What— I'm dead, am I not?"

Esther smiled. "Fortunately." She nodded and he stepped away from her, feeling disgusted by his mother's happiness of his death. "You can no longer harm and steal the lives of the innocent." She mused. "This is for the greater good. You are now to join Finn and I."

"No..." Kol shook his head, scowling at his mother then he felt himself slowly get heavier, no longer feeling light. "Huh..."

"You are fading..." Esthers eyebrows furrow in confusion. "How come?" She asked, leaning forward to touch her son but before she can, he disappeared and she looked back to his body.

His burnt skin slowly disappears and his eyes flutter open, he sits up then looks at Klaus who was stuck at the Gilbert's living room, eyes wide at his brother. Klaus' lips part in disbelief, unable to bring the words out of his mouth but the only things that left his lips were a breathe of relief.

"How...?" Klaus asked once he found his voice.

Kol looked down to his burnt clothes and dusted himself off, proudly looking at his brother. "I'll see you soon, Niklaus." He sped away, looking to find out how he's alive and well.

In which, a maniac, psychotic, crazy Original falls in love with a witch that makes him go crazier.

1) All the characters belong to Julie Plec along with the plot but everything else belongs to me. Also, this is my second Kol Mikaelson fanfic because I'm inlove with him. This one is hopefully going to be better than the other one.

4) English is NOT my first language, I didn't get to clarify that in my old book or before I edited this.

5) I will not tolerate ANY spoilers whatsoever so if you've already read this book, don't spoil it for the new readers.

6) I'll only be adding minor changes to the story, only fixing unnecessary moments and parts.
