this chapter is kinda inspired from a different m.f. book i read. i forgot the title. also should i make another nsfw chapter ??
nora heard loud and deep groaning coming from miles' room. it sounded very unpleasant, and she never heard anyone sounding so uncomfortable before in her life.
it was 10pm, almost 11. she was trying to sleep but couldn't, the groans of distress were too unbearable.
she was scared. she had never heard anything like it. maybe once, but it was different.
there was no point in trying to sleep when she couldn't. nora was trying for far too long now anyways. she slowly got out of bed and wandered to miles' room.
of course she couldn't make it there quietly, there had to be those few creaky floorboards. but either way it didn't matter, the noises didn't stop or change. what the fuck was happening?
before you get the wrong idea, it wasn't sexual noises. at first nora suspected he was jerking off, but it sounded too strange. something else was going on.
she placed her hand on the cold, lacking human contact doorknob. this was all a nightmare, no way this was real. nora was terrified out of her mind at this point. she just wanted to sleep.
slowly twisting it, the door opened. the noises continued without hesitation. what was miles doing? why did he sound like this, especially at late night?
before nora risked her well being by stepping inside, she poked her head in first. his lights were off, but the bathrooms light was on. he was in the bathroom.
it took her a moment of thinking to see if she really wanted to go in here. but of course the answer was yes. the answer was usually always yes when it came to miles.
nora was shaking. it was warm in his room, but even if it felt like standing in a volcano, she still would've been shaking. she was nervous. she was confused.
from what she could see (at first) miles was standing in front of his mirror, bending down with his hands on the counter.
"m-miles?" she quietly croaked out. immediately, miles jerked his head to face her. nora was closer to him now, standing just a few inches away from the doorframe of the bathroom. she stood frozen. his eyes didn't look like normal human eyes. they were dark red instead of a warm welcoming brown, like usual, and the white parts of his eyes were also turning red.
nora thought she had died for a split second. she couldn't react to anything for what felt like an hour, but what was in reality only 4 seconds.
"are you okay?" she asked him. her voice was shrill, and her whole body was still shaking.
"get the fuck out of my room." he muttered. his voice sounded deeper. of course his regular voice was deep, but this sounded different. like an older man.
"w-what?" her heart dropped, and the panic along with the sadness in her voice contributed to making her feel panic and sadness.
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM!!!" and as quick as that, miles charged at the frightened girl. he was so quick she had no time to react.
miles caught nora by the throat with his right hand. he lifted her up, effortless, and began to choke her.
nora was trying to scream for help, but his choking mechanism was working. she was losing air, and not gaining any back. he was killing her.
all the girl could do was stare at him. no noises were escaping from her, not even how hard she tried. but at one point, for less than a second, she watched his eyes change from 'demonic' to 'ordinary'.
she knew something was wrong. this wasn't miles and it was obvious, but it obviously wasn't a nightmare. the lack of oxegyn and pain was too real. nora was probably going to end up dying if he wouldn't become unpossessed. the best assumption was assuming he was possessed, it seemed legit.
his eyes flashed back to normal for a second more, and for that one second, his grip loosened around her neck. how could he snap out of it?
nora kicked around in the air, which was completely useless. her hands were around his wrist trying to pull away. either way his grip was too strong. nothing was working.
more than twenty painful seconds later, nora already gave up. there was nothing to fight for, miles was going to kill her and she couldn't do anything about it. but then, fate came to be. his eyes switch back, and nora fell to the ground. and weirdly enough, miles fell to the ground too.
the thankful teen girl was grasping for air, taking each breath quickly and loudly. her throat ached, and she was beyond surprised and thankful it didn't break. his grip was strong. like a grown mans...
she was coughing and still breathing heavily. it was like no amount of air was enough.
miles on the other hand, he was confused. his eyes were shut, but he was beginning to open them. he was laying on the floor on his back.
"nora?" his voice was raspy, like his morning voice.
nora was weak, but she wasn't dead. she wanted to know what the fuck that was, and if miles was okay. miles was getting off the floor as quick as he could (which was pretty slow). but it was quicker than nora.
he was on his knees and looking at her while she was also looking at him. there it was. his sweet, brown eyes. there was a layer of water starting to fill them. he knew she was hurt, but he didn't know what was going on.
"what happened?" he asked her. "are you okay? did i do something? did you do something? did-"
"miles," she took a moment to breathe and cough again, "your eyes. you choked me. what- why..." nora didn't know how to finish her sentence, nor did her throat let her. it was okay though. miles knew what she was talking about.
"holy shit." he whispered. he was obvious upset.
miles pulled nora into his chest and hugged her. nora didn't shed a tear, but miles did.
she was enjoying his warm embrace, knowing miles didn't really do that. he would never do that to her. everything was okay.
"nora, i am so, so, so, sorry. oh my fuck. i cant believe that. did i hurt you anywhere else, are you okay?" his quick questions dealing with concern almost made her smile. miles really cared about her.
"it's okay miles, it wasn't you... right? what was that..."
miles stopped crying, and they broke apart from their hug.
"there's something you don't know about this house." he said playing with a stand of her hair. miles was shaking. nora had calmed down.
"then tell me."
"there was this guy here before, he was like a father figure to me. he was a fucking evil bastard, but brainwashed me that he was a good guy. i did bad things because of his influence. when he died i learned i was in the wrong with him. i guess he knows i hate him now because of what he's done to me, and my price to pay is getting haunted by him." miles pushed some of noras hair behind her ear. she was sitting in front of him.
"what did he do to you?" nora asked shakily.
"he turned me into the person i am today." miles was looking down. he looked so alone. so isolated. miles didn't deserve this at all.
"i'm really sorry miles." nora whispered. he didn't move or say anything. he was still looking down.
nora didn't want to leave him alone, but she didn't know what to say. and she was also beyond tired, especially after all of this. she needed sleep. they would talk about this tomorrow, even though the last thing she wanted was to be alone.
"i'm gonna go back to my room now. i'll talk to you tomorrow..." she stood up to exit his room. before she took lore than three steps, he spoke up.
"wait." nora turned around. "please.. don't go. can you stay here with me?"
weight was taken off of her shoulders. she wanted him to say something like this, she didn't want to be alone tonight.
"of course." a soft smile appeared on her face.
the two ended up going to noras room because her bed was bigger, and more like a bed. when they got under the covers miles immediately latched onto nora, holding her by her waist.
she felt safe and secure in his arms. his forehead was also resting against the back of her neck. she knew that miles was happier now.
it didn't take too much longer until she fell asleep shortly after him. due to miles holding her all night, she was able to sleep very well.
