miles woke up as early as he could. his amount of concern was through the roof. did that really happen last night? was nora really that needy? miles threw his blankets off of him and rushed to her room, suddenly wide awake.
it was 7:06am. nora was still passed out. last night was not a dream. her hair was crazily messed up, her mouth open, drool on her pillow. she wouldn't be waking up for another few hours it seemed like. a part of miles regretted not fucking her wild last night.
he wanted to wake her up and talk to her. to explain everything, she needed to know what happened. miles already knew when she woke up she wouldn't remember anything.
so, miles waited patiently (not really, he just sat fidgeting and he left to go back to his room a couple times) for her to wake up.
3 long hours later, nora woke up. she rubbed her eyes with her hands, sitting up a little bit.
"you're finally awake!" miles exclaimed in a whisper, trying not to startle her too much. she looked over in his direction. she still couldn't fully see yet.
after rubbing her eyes quite a few times, noras vision was no longer blurry. she looked at miles and smiled, hiding her confusion.
"do you have any idea of what happened last night?" miles interjected. nora sat up completely and looked at him dropping her smile, but shortly after laughing.
"how would you know, or how did you know?β i literally can't even remember what happened. do you?" nora asked eagerly.
"yes, and i kind of wish i didn't." nora furrowed her eyebrows.
"the fuck happened... actually hold that thought i need to brush my hair." she rolled out of bed and walked over to her dresser. miles watched her the whole way.
"okay, you can go now." nora was brushing her hair, looking at miles through her mirror.
"well, i'm not gonna get too into it because you probably don't want to know this but i'll tell you." he paused.
"okay... continue."
"so. last night i had vodka, and i offered you some, not knowing you've never had a drink in your life-" nora cut him off.
"oh yeah i remember that! sorry, keep going." miles smiled.
"anyways... after an hour, i guess, you were mega drunk. you kept... oh god... nora are you sureβ"
"YES, miles, i'm sure. tell me what i said." nora finished brushing her hair and sat back down beside miles. she looked at him with a smile on her face, but you could tell she was being serious.
"well.. you said a lot of things, but the main thing you should know is 'fuck me daddy'" nora started coughing like she choked on a drink.
"i s-said that?? what else did i say??" she was still coughing.
"umm, you said something like 'i really want you to fuck me', what else... oh yeah and you got so mad i refused that you fingered yourself and pretended it was me. to be honest i don't even know if you actually did that. and you palmed me at one point. that's about it." nora didn't say anything.
"what did you do?" she asked after a long pause of silence.
"do you really wanna know?" he asked. noras eyes grew bigger.
"did you actually fuck me?"
"no! no! i wa- never mind. i'm not finishing that." the girl tried to keep back from laughing.
"no, finish it. i just embarrassed myself last night so now it's your turn."
"ok but that's different! you were drunk and you don't remember any of it. that's not fair." he folded his arms over his chest.
"fine."
they were both looking ahead of them. miles was embarrassed too, he didn't know why though. last night was something he was never going to forget. it was fortunate for the both of them that nora taught miles some of the things that she did.
"remind me to never drink again." nora added, breaking the silence.
"oh believe me, i'll remember. you don't know how scared i was last night."
"you? miles fairchild? scared? that's an accomplishment for me!" miles smiled at her.
"yeah but hear me out. you were literally scaring me. i've never seen you like that before. i was so mad at myself."
"aww miles don't be. i know what i'm doing now."
"mhm i sure hope so." they exchanged a shy glance at each other. it didn't last too long. nora looked down.
"miles?" she asked weakly.
"hmm?"
"thank you for not taking advantage of me last night." miles felt bad for almost telling her he wanted too a few minutes ago. good thing he didn't.
"you're welcome. but you should mainly be thanking yourself. i'm improving my niceness skills because of you." nora giggled.
"niceness skills?" she repeated. he playfully punched her shoulder.
"yeah! i dunno what else to call it." her eager smile slowly faded away with the time. it was now calmingly silent.
both of their little minds pounded with different words. should i say something? what should i say? is it better to keep quiet? but they both thought that the other was just sitting their relaxed, not worried about speaking or not.
the silence was broken after a minute. can you guess who broke the silence. nora.
"can i ask you something?" she asked looking back at him. his eyebrows gave away a confused look on his face.
"always."
"will you answer it honestly though..."
"yeah? what is it?" she was scaring miles, but not in a scary way. he just didn't know what she was gonna ask him. it was worrying.
"what do you think of me?"
"um?" miles had an idea of what she meant, but he wanted to be sure.
"like... i can't really give an example. unless you want me to tell you what i think of you first..." there was a knot growing inside of noras stomach. she was scared to tell him. she didn't even know the right words anyhow.
"okay. tell me." the two teens were now making eye contact. nora took a deep breath in. she didn't want miles to think she was stalling, so all she could do was just let the words flow out without thinking. that'd be the best thing to do anyways... right?
"you've managed to make me feel something i thought was impossible for a sixteen year old to feel. especially because i've only known you for a month. when i first saw you, i thought you were the most beautiful human i've ever seen in my life. then when i started talking to you i felt upset. so upset. because i thought you were just a giant asshole, but turns out you're sweeter than most of the teen boys at my school. and i cant blame you for being mean to me at first. nobody has shown proper love to you besides flora."
nora was looking down again. she felt heat rising in her cheeks, she knew miles was looking at her the whole time she was talking. and now it felt like she was going to throw up her heart. it felt like it was just sitting in her throat, ready to leave her body.
miles, oh god. miles had no idea how to understand completely what nora was telling her. how did he respond? he wasn't capable of feeling the things he felt, up until now. if he wasn't use to feeling these things how could he express it?
"go ahead... your turn." nora whispered, tapping her foot on the floor quietly.
"i-i can't. i don't know how. i've never known how to explain my feelings." she looked at him.
"you can try?"
"um, okay. well i guess you've done similar things to me. i don't like seeing you upset. it makes me upset. you've somehow managed to make me into a better person. you're super pretty. and you just have been so patient with me, and you like me for me. you never gave up on me or anything. i appreciate you." nora waited a few seconds to be sure miles was done or wasn't gonna add anything.
she was looking down (yet again) the whole time he said that. she was too nervous to look at him. but after he finished talking she looked back at him.
miles was already looking at nora, the whole time he was speaking. it helped him think of what would be appropriate to say. whenever she looked at him his eyes went immediately to her lips. nora noticed.
"miles..." he couldn't stand it any longer. miles gently grabbed noras face, her cheeks in both of his hands, and kissed her right on her lips.
nora was shocked. it wasn't too unexpected, but it was so sudden. noras hands automatically went miles' neck. she closed her eyes, kissing him back passionately, enjoying every second of it. she wanted this just as much as he did, and now the anticipation was no longer.
seven whole seconds later, their lips slowly fell apart. noras arms were resting on his shoulders near his neck, and miles didn't take his hands back from her cheeks.
"i um.." miles began, taking his hands away, "i've been wanting to do that for awhile." nora smiled.
"me too."
