"will you guys please stop talking about the photo!" jack shouted at his brothers. luke and quinn had been making fun of him the entire day. the only time the teasing had stopped had been the car ride over purely because tori made sure they were separated. now that they were all at the country club, she had no control over what quinn and luke could say or do.

quinn made a compromise, "i will only shut up if you let me, cole, and tori be a group today." tori was shocked that luke had no interjections on this agreement. granted, she did promise quinn and cole they would all hangout just three of them and that had no happened yet.

"you have yourself a deal," jack stuck out his hand for his older brother to shake.

in that exact moment, trevor pouted, "why was i, the boyfriend, not consulted on this matter?"

"because your opinion is irrelevant," quinn narrowed his eyes. alex and cole both slapped their hands over their mouths to stifle their laughter.

tori looked up to trevor, trying to get him to look at her rather then the oldest hughes brother. trevor felt tori's burning gaze and their eyes met. "trevor, it's okay. i did promise quinn i would hangout with him and cole at some point before i left," tori tried reasoning with him before he started an argument with quinn. he sighed and let go of her hand.

the brunette walked over to where quinn was standing and cole soon followed. once she reached quinn's side, tori pointed a finger at him and said, "now, you quinn, need to stop picking on my boyfriend or i will make an entire instagram post dedicated to quinn memes."

"i would pay to see that!" alex remarked. luke and jack nodded their heads in agreement. they all knew tori could do some damage.

quinn huffed, "fine! let's just getting going!" he then walked off to a golf cart. someone was grumpy. cole and tori shared a look before following quinn.

while tori was walking with cole, trevor shouted, "i'll miss you! be safe!" tori quickly turned around and noticed that luke had whacked trevor in the head. "you are so whipped!" luke stated while trevor was holding the back of his head.

tori smiled and replied, "i'll miss you too! i'll be safe, don't worry!" the rest of the boys rolled their eyes with the exception of cole. he thought it was cute.

cole and tori hopped into the golf cart as the other four got into their own carts. when cole and tori settled themselves in, cole announced, "and the trio is finally back together!" he fist bumped quinn and turned slightly to fist bump tori as she was sitting behind him.

"took us long enough to get this one to detach herself from z!" quinn pointed to tori while driving to the first hole.

"you know quinn, you could have just told him no and this wouldn't have been a problem," tori stated as a matter of fact.

quinn rolled his eyes, "yeah, but then you would have been mad at me and that would have been a whole thing. and honestly, i didn't want to deal with it. plus, it looks like he really likes you, so props to him."

"did the quinn hughes just say a positive thing about trevor zegras?" cole gasped and placed both hands on his face to show a shocked expression.

tori shared a similar expression to cole and said, "i think he just did. has hell finally frozen over?"

quinn had stopped the golf cart and put it in park. during that process, he responded to his two shocked friends, "you guys act like i've never said one nice thing about him before."

"because you literally haven't!" tori shouted.

cole agreed with tori, "sorry to disappoint you, quinn, but i'm taking tori's side on this one."

"you do realize i don't actually hate him? i actually think he's a great fit for you. i just like messing with him. it's quite easy to do," quinn told tori. she had been hoping this whole time that it was all fun and games. sometimes, it was hard to tell with quinn, especially since he was protective over her in the male department.

"well now i know, but i'm very glad you do. i'm really happy with him," tori smiled.

quinn gave a disgusted look, "please don't go sappy on me. if you want to do that then talk to cole and cole only. spare me please."

cole laughed, "this is why i'm her best friend and you're not!" tori high-fived cole while quinn prepared himself for his first stroke. he ended up not hitting the ball where he wanted and, as a result, came back to the group very grouchy.

"you good, quinny?" tori asked teasingly.

quinn gave her a 'really?' look before answering, "i couldn't focus with all the chitchatting about trevor." quinn cracked a smile to show that he was joking. in reality, he was happy that trevor was treating her right and that tori felt comfortable enough with cole to tell him about. he was really going to miss her when she left.

the three continued their game and by the time an hour had passed, the three were exhausted. being out in the sun had drained all of their batteries. it wasn't like they weren't having fun, they all just felt gross and wanted to go home. so, that's exactly what they did. they abandoned luke, jack, trevor, and alex without telling them.

thankfully, quinn drove one of the cars, so it was quite easy for them to leave. the car ride back included lots of taylor swift and bad singing on cole's behalf. tori was really happy about the time she got to spend with them. she reflected on her summer and was beyond thankful that she met cole. befriending cole was the start of her amazing summer. tori was really going to miss this trio.
