backstory
• childhood ; madison was also born in new zealand just like her sister. she moved with her sister, kirby, to live with their father at the carrington manor. that was until she was 10 and kirby was 12, when kirby was accused of setting a room on fire. alexis wanted both girls out of the house, but anders didn't want madison to be influenced by kirby. so in agreement with their mother, he gave madison to a family friend out of state and sent kirby back to new zealand. she was absolutely destroyed by this, being away from all of her family now. the girl knew that kirby was innocent, but she was 10. nobody would believe her. madison came to hate the carringtons, and even her own parents. how could they just give her up like that?
• teenage years; madison adjusted to the life she had in new york. the people she was given to had a ton of money and no children, so she got whatever she wanted and was loved unconditionally. things were really good for her. she got good grades, graduated with honors, and made lots of friends. sometimes she was grateful for being sent away, because if she hadn't, she may not have had the life she had
• adulthood; maddie went to college for early childhood education, loving children and later becoming a preschool teacher. when she was 23, she got super curious about her family. should she reach out? should she pretend they don't exist and move on completely? after much contemplation, she decided to just fly out to georgia. she kind of assumed her father still worked for the carringtons, and luckily she had been right. anders was shocked to see her, but was incredibly happy. the girl was also surprised to learn her sister was back in atlanta, still with her accent, but now involved in a cult. when kirby was rescued, you could say, the two were excited to see one another. it had been over 10 years since they saw one another. they quickly became close, and madison moved into the carrington manor with her father. she got a job at a preschool nearby, and life became drama-filled, but even better for the young woman.

joseph winifred anders ; after being sent away, madison's relationship with her father became non-existent. she wanted nothing to do with him, and she didn't have a choice in that matter anyway. after returning to atlanta, they began rebuilding their relationship, and eventually they got to a really great spot. she was devastated when he passed, especially since she had such little time with him (8/10 relationship)

kirby anders ; before they were separated, the two were super close. they always played with each other and were attached at the hip. when they were separated, it was horrible. so seeing her again was a dream come true. she was so excited to see her sister again, and the two became extremely close. she didn't like that kirby was into adam, but she couldn't control who her sister liked. plus, she would never let something that silly come between them (9/10 relationship)

fallon morell carrington ; she and fallon are super close as well. they never were when they were kids, but in adulthood, they quickly learned how alike they were. they both loved drama, whether it was watching it or creating it, and they often did it together. fallon likes to joke that madison is more like her than their own brother steven, who she actually grew up with. dating fallon's sister/ex becomes awkward, but she eventually approves as madison deserves to be happy. adam carrington ; adam is just like his father, manipulative and kind of an asshole. she doesn't like him at all, and she can hardly believe that kirby ever has interest in him. he has her same sarcastic attitude and their bickering can be as entertaining as his and amanda's, but they don't care for one another.
