I am currently on a horse, retreating to Karanes District. I am with Commander Erwin's squad at the moment.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commander Hangi asked Commander Erwin about his decision to have Lance Corporal Levi resupply, claiming there is no time for it.
Commander Erwin explained that while they saw the Female Titan being eaten, the person inside it was not seen.
Commander Erwin stated that there is a possibility that the culprit managed to escape using the attire of the Survey Corps.
"Commander Erwin, may I say something? I requested.
"Of course." he nodded.
"Doesn't that mean there is a possibility that the Female Titan is working with the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan?" I questioned.
"I can't deny the possibility of it." he told me.
As the soldiers continue their retreat, Commander Erwin and Deputy Commander Hanji discuss the way the Female Titan escaped.
Commander Erwin believed that it used the same tactic as the Colossal Titan, ODM gear to flee in the steam.
Deputy Commander Hanji argued that back then, Eren's gear was destroyed and he had no stamina left after his transformation.
However, Commander Erwin claimed that using Eren as a basis for their inference was wrong, seeing that he is a novice.
"If the enemy can conserve their strength, they may be able to transform a second time." Commander Erwin said.
"I can't deny that, either. But that must mean that the person inside of the Titan is very experienced." I suggested.
"Indeed. If the person behind all of this is someone who slipped into our ranks and they're experienced as well, this might be difficult to handle." he sighed.
Just when we were talking about the Female Titan being able to transform a second time, a flash of yellow lightning struck.
Streaks of yellow crackled in the sky. I looked up and noticed that the sky was still bright and there was no sign of rain at all.
After a few seconds after that sudden lightning, a massive tremor shook the ground, almost making me fall off my horse.
I stared at the sky and recognized the familiar feeling and sight. My stomach began to hurt when I remembered every single part of the event.
"Voland, are you okay?" Deputy Commander Hanji placed her hand on my shoulder and slightly shook it to wake me back up.
"I'm okay." I reassured. Now's not the time, Y/n. Focus on getting back and finding a way to get rid of the Female Titan.
Remembering the past won't help you. It'll only trouble you. That's why use that anger of yours from the past and fight the Titans when it's needed. Turn the pain into power.
"Oh, this is something I noticed after facing the enemy." Commander Erwin brought up.
"Limiting ourselves to the best course of action will never give us the edge over the enemy." he said.
"We must take necessary and costly risks, facing them with the resolution to lose everything. Unless we fight like that, mankind cannot prevail." he stated.
Commader Erwin surely is into gambling...how exhilarating.
I can't disagree with what he said, though. You will never reach your full potential if you continue to live comfortably, there are times where you must take risks.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of a roaring...an oddly familiar roar that sounded just like Eren in his Titan form.
"He transformed..." I mumbled. Commander Erwin and Deputy Commander Hanji stared in the direction of the roar.
I only stared ahead. The Female Titan must've done something to make Eren transform. Whatever it is, it's too late.
I knew something is going to go extremely wrong, and yet I chose not to be bothered by it since it will only hinder my performance.
I'll leave the Female Titan in Eren's hands. He made his choice to transform, so how this goes is up to him.

We finally managed to get out of the forest and we're currently collecting the corpses of those who have fallen victim to the Titans.
"Hey, I heard about what happened. Sorry, I didn't think it would end up like this." I approached Mikasa, who was staring at Eren's sleeping figure.
"Y/n, you're safe. That's a relief." Mikasa sighed, pulling me in for a short hug.
I hugged her back and we stayed like that for a few seconds before she pulled away.
"Y/n, is something the matter? You're pale." Mikasa pointed out.
"Huh? Oh, I'm fine. Just tired, I guess. It's been a long day and we just discovered something huge." I reasoned.
"Well, I guess you're right...but if you feel unwell, it would be great if you rest. I wouldn't want you getting sick." she advised.
"Yes, ma'am." I playfully saluted. I then walked away, slightly stumbling at times. What's wrong with me?
Everything's quite trippy, why is the ground spinning? No, now everything's blurry. What the?
I swayed for just a moment before someone caught me and lowered my body to the ground.
"Hey, you brat. What's up with you? Don't tell me you're scared." the man, who was holding me, scoffed.
Based on the voice and the man's way of words, this has to be the infamous Lance Corporal Levi.
"I'm sorry, Lance Corporal." I apologized to him, gently standing back up on my own two feet.
"If you're that exhausted, just rest. Don't force yourself." he advised, dusting his clothes.
"No, thank you, Lance Corporal. I'm just a little tired from the mission, I'll be fine." I reassured, walking away.
"That brat used the same excuse..." he mumbled. I don't think he meant for me to hear that, but I heard it anyways.
Like I had mentioned before, I have pretty good hearing, so I was able to hear even mumbling from a meter away from me.
"Y/n! You're okay, thank goodness. I heard you were with Commander Erwin the whole time." Armin ran up to me.
I gave him a glance and a weak smile, trying my best not to submit myself to the darkness that wanted me to rest.
Why now? Didn't this happen last time as well? I collapsed right after the mission.
"Y/n...you're really pale. Did something happen?" he questioned, looking at me in worry.
I shook my head in response, still staring at the ground as I covered my mouth with my hand.
"I-I'll go rest for a bit. Wake me up when something happens." I told him before walking to the wagon that Eren was on.
My eyesight blurred. Everything became blurry for some reason. Then, I saw nothing at all.
My consciousness was floating through an empty space filled with a thick static.
Throughout the inky space, my heartbeats pounded loudly, echoing in my ears.
I sat next to him before lying down and closing my eyes. I felt the energy in my body slowly draining away until finally, all was black.
(A/N: I know some of you are thinking that Y/n is weak but I'll be explaining the reason soon.)

The expedition's expenses and casualties were more than enough to utterly humiliate the Survey Corps' power base.
Those responsible, including Erwin, were summoned to the capital, and Eren's new supervisor was chosen.
But a few days earlier prior to that, a few members of the Survey Corps were called to the dining hall to discuss the recent events.
Unfortunately, Y/n had passed out and she hadn't woken up ever since. She hasn't even shown signs that she was alive.
The only sign that she showed was her heartbeat. Her heartbeat was slow, yet it was in the range of normal.
It was enough to worry about, but they knew that Y/n was strong enough to get through this.
Y/n fluttered her eyes open to be met with a room that she had familiarized herself with.
"Again?" she sighed, sitting up and adjusting her vision. She looked around and noticed that it was still dark outside.
She stood up and just stared at the wooden floor for a whole minute, trying to get her limbs to move.
For some odd reason, her legs and arms would randomly go numb from time to time.
Y/n turned to the window and stared at the full moon. Oh, how she wished she was staring at it with her sister.
The door creaked open and Armin shrieked when he saw Y/n. Anyone would've screamed if they saw Y/n.
She was wearing a white attire with her h/l, h/c, hair cascading down her shoulders. She was paler than usual.
"What's wrong, Armin? You look like you've seen a ghost." Y/n joked, turning back to the window.
"I really thought I saw one." Armin pouted, making his way to stand next to the young lady.
"Did you see the Female Titan in person?" Y/n struck up a conversation. Armin nodded in reply.
"I did. It pulled down my hood and just stared at me and left. Then, it looked at me again and didn't kill me. How about you?" Armin asked.
"So, they were looking for Eren. I didn't see her until the whole forest thing. I just assumed it was an Intelligent Titan, just like Eren." Y/n answered.
"Eh? Wasn't that super risky, though? I mean, you were right in the end but still..." his voice trailed off.
"Well, I was right in the end. That's all." Y/n sighed, approaching the bed and laying down on it.
"An Intelligent Titan is a Titan that is being controlled by a human being, just like us, right?" Armin asked. Y/n nodded in reply.
"Despite managing to break through Trost District's gate, the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan didn't attempt to continue any farther and stayed back when Eren sealed the gate." Armin mentioned.
"Could it have been because they had more pressing concerns?" he pondered to himself.
"Meaning?" Y/n randomly raised her hand in the air and just stared at it. I'm sure almost everyone does this for no reason.
Although Y/n knew what he was trying to say, she wanted to hear his entire opinion about the recent events.
"Something even more important than destroying the Walls. Remember the unexpected event that happened afterward?" Armin inquired.
"You're referring to Eren's transformation, right?" Y/n put her hand back down and turned to him.
"Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of. Someone who was there, who saw Eren transform into a Titan, is the one inside the Female Titan." Armin declared.
"It's not only the Female Titan." I stated, sitting up. He looked up to stare at my face in curiosity for what I have to say.
"What are you implying?" Armin questioned. This is why he enjoyed talking to Y/n.
He never knew what Y/n had to say. There was always a surprise when it comes to Y/n.
"The Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan...they could also be one of us as well." she reminded.
"Hiding and lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike and hunt their prey, waiting for their chance." she began to ramble.
"Blending in, acting as if they're one of us. But there's also a possibility that they may have convinced themselves that they are one of us." Y/n continued.
"I wonder who the other two may be." Y/n muttered, standing up and walking back to the window.
"Two? What happened to the Female Titan?" Armin raised a brow at her.
"I already know who it is." Y/n declared.
"And I'm guessing you have an idea on who it might be, aren't I right, Armin?" Y/n glanced at him.
"Yeah..." Armin nodded.
"What do you think of Commander Erwin? With all the things he's been ordering us to do, I mean." Y/n started.
"I haven't lived long enough to prove it, but there's something I'm certain of." Armin paused. Y/n hummed, waiting for him to continue.
"If there are humans who can bring about change, they're surely those who are capable of abandoning everything." Armin said.
"To surpass monsters, you must be willing to abandon your humanity." he continued.
"People who are unable to abandon anything, can't ever change anything." Armin concluded.
"To move forward, to gain, we must be willing to abandon something. Nothing in this cruel world is free." Y/n scoffed.
"I'd like to have a chat with the rest of them tomorrow regarding the traitor." she informed.
"Why not now?" Armin inquired.
"I'm kinda exhausted right now. You know, for some reason, I've been losing a lot of energy." Y/n mentioned.
"Actually, I have noticed that too. Last time, you did a lot of work and you were asleep for a week. I believe you didn't do that much today and you only fell asleep for 5 hours." Armin stated.
"Yeah, I didn't even do much other than talking and running away on horses. That's weird." she mumbled.
"Not to mention, the bruises as well. I never got hurt physically and I always dodge attacks. I don't recall getting hit on the back, either." Y/n groaned.
"I would love to help you, but I don't know how." Armin sighed. He really wanted to, but too much was happening all at once.
"Helping me, huh? How about staying with me for the night?" Y/n suggested.
"E-Eh?! I can't. A lady like you needs privacy and I'm of the opposite gender, so uhm..." he blushed.
"Oh? What's the difference? You pay me little visits at night from time to time." Y/n retorted.
"You were making sure I slept comfortably, right? To make sure someone familiar was next to me." she argued.
"W-Well, of course, I wanted you to sleep comfortably, so I made sure to pay you short visits. But you seem to be doing well, and I uhm...it's..." Armin paused.
"Hm?" Y/n hummed, waiting for him to continue what he was saying before he paused.
"It's...embarrassing." he mumbled, the color pink searing through his cheeks. Y/n chuckled before sighing.
"It's okay. I'm not gonna force you. You've done enough by taking care of me while I was in my slumber. Thank you, Armin." she thanked him.
"O-Oh, it's no problem at all! I'm just doing what any other person would do." he argued.
Y/n laid back down on the bed and hid under the blankets as she stared into the darkness.
Armin decided to stay with her for the night. He was pretty tired too since he's been staying up to make sure Y/n was okay.
In addition to this, his room was the farthest from hers, walking to her room and back was exhausting enough.
"Y/n, how are you feeling...about the whole Female Titan situation?" Armin asked. Y/n popped her head out of the blanket and shrugged.
"I honestly don't know. To think that there is a traitor amongst us. To think we trained and even lived with them for a while." Y/n groaned.
"To think that she had been sleeping on the bed right next to me..." she sighed, remembering the Titan's face.

In the dining hall, where everyone is gathered together to discuss the Female Titan, I was seated across from Lance Corporal Levi.
"Our plan is for the day after tomorrow, during our passage to the capital where we are to answer the summons, at Stohess District." Commander Erwin announced.
"It will be our first and last chance. If we miss it, the capital will take custody of Eren, and it'll likely become difficult to investigate those who plot to destroy the walls." Commander Erwin added.
"Consequently, the fall of mankind will draw even nearer. We'll wager everything on this plan. Voland, take the lead." Commander Erwin offered.
Oh, yeah, we were discussing this topic in his office earlier and I already know about this plan.
"As we pass through Stohess District, Eren will be the bait and lure the target to this underground passage over here." I pointed to a specific part on the map.
"Once we bring them to the lowest level, their movements should be restricted even if they transform." I continued.
"However, on the off chance they transform before that, you're the only one we can count on, Eren." Commander Erwin said.
"Of course. So uhm, the main target is, without a doubt, in Stohess District, correct?" Eren requested confirmation.
"Yeah, the target is part of the Military Police Brigade." Commander Erwin affirmed.
"The Military Police Brigade?" Eren repeated.
"Yeah, Armin and I were talking about that last night." I nodded my head.
"According to them, the Female Titan may be responsible for killing the two Titans we'd captured and is possibly a member of the 104th Training Corps, like you." Commander Erwin said.
"W-Wait a second. The 104th-" before Eren could continue, I interrupted him.
"Annie Leonhart is the Female Titan. Although it was blindly obvious. Even for blind people." I finally said it.
"Annie's the Female Titan? Why..." Eren stared at us in disbelief.
"Why do you think that?" Eren glanced at Armin and me.
"The Female Titan knew what Eren looked like from the start. Furthermore, she reacted upon hearing Eren's nickname, 'the reckless idiot'." Armin stated.
"In addition to that, your nickname should only be known to our generation. Meaning, she was in the 104th Training Corps." I added.
"Yeah. And above all else, Annie was likely responsible for the murders of Sawney and Bean, the test subjects." Armin said.
"How can you be so sure about that?" Eren inquired.
"Advanced techniques were required to pull off those murders, so she must've used her ODM gear, which she's proficient with." Armin continued.
"Yeah...but that's what the equipment inspection was for. Annie came out clean." Eren argued.
"That's because the device Annie had was Marco's. It's the reason she got past the inspection." Armin said.
"Huh? Wh-What are you saying? How is Marco involved in this?" Eren stuttered.
"I don't know." Armin mumbled.
"Couldn't you have just been seeing things?" Eren retorted, getting irritated.
"No, that was definitely something I-" Arming was interrupted.
"Hey, kid, we've already heard that. Isn't there anything else?" Lance Corporal Levi finally spoke up.
"I believe that Annie's face resembles the Female Titan's." Mikasa also decided to say something.
"Huh? What are you saying? Reasoning like that i-" Eren was interrupted by none other than me.
"Eren, stop trying to ignore the truth. Just accept it. Annie is the Female Titan." I cut him off.
"Y/n, wh-" Eren git interrupted once more.
"Think about it, your Titan form has dark brown hair and greenish eyes, right? The Female Titan had blond hair and blue eyes." I mentioned.
"Christa is the only other person who has the same features. Armin and Commander Erwin have the same features but they're both males, so that's out of the question. But Christa was with Armin and the other recruits." I continued.
"Who else has blond hair and blue eyes in the 104th Training Corps?" I asked. He was speechless.
"And...what will you do if it's not her?" Eren mumbled.
"If it's not Annie, she'll simply be cleared of suspicion." Mikasa replied.
"Should that be the case, I'll feel sorry for Annie. However, if we do nothing because of that, you'll just end up becoming Central's sacrifice." Armin argued.
"Suspecting someone like Annie is ridiculous." Eren scoffed.
"But not accepting the possibility is even more ridiculous. We must take necessary and costly risks, facing them with the resolution to lose everything. Unless we fight like that, mankind cannot prevail." I quoted.
"Eren, has anything come to mind after hearing all this? When you fought hand-to-hand with the Female Titan, did it use any techniques that are unique to Annie?" Mikasa questioned.
I know that Mikasa was only saying this to prove our point
