"So, who broke it?" Captain Levi questioned, referring to the broken chair, lying on the ground.
No one said anything as they stared at the broken chair that looked like it had been kicked.
I was about to enter the kitchen until I heard Captain Levi speak up again about the broken chair.
"I'm not mad. I just wanna know." Captain Levi reassured. Hearing that from you is not very convincing.
"I did, I broke it." Historia confessed although we all knew she wasn't the one who broke it.
"No, no, you didn't. Jean?" he turned to Jean.
"Don't look at me. Look at Eren." Jean gestured towards Eren's direction.
"What? I didn't break it." Eren argued.
"Huh? That's weird. How'd you know it was even broken?" Jean cockily questioned, thinking he got the culprit.
"Huh? Because it's sitting right in front of us, and it's broken." Eren retorted. Jean remained silent for a while.
"Suspicious." Jean claimed.
"If it matters, probably not, but Sasha was the last one near it." Connie stated.
"Liar! I wasn't even near it." Sasha argued. I was watching all of this go down.
"What were you doing earlier?" Connie questioned. Things are actually getting juicy.
"I was finding something to eat in the cabinets, everyone knows that, Connie." Sasha retorted.
"Okay, okay, let's not fight. I broke it, let me fix it." Armin offered but was interrupted by Captain Levi.
"No. Who broke it?" Captain Levi repeated his question from earlier.
"Captain, Mikasa's been awfully quiet." I heard Connie whisper over to Captain Levi.
"Oh, really?" Mikasa finally spoke up. And thus, the start of the new war began as a bunch of yelling and arguing came from the kitchen.
I broke it. I accidentally got hurt when my leg came in contact with it, so I kicked it back for revenge.
I predict 10 minutes from now, they'll be at each other's throats with war paint on their faces than a pig head on a stick.
"Oh, whatever, Jean! Or should I say, why don't you go back and fix your mane, horse face?!" Eren yelled.
Good. It was getting a little quiet around here.

"Ah, welcome back." I greeted. Armin, Jean, and Sasha gave me a smile before putting down the things they were carrying.
The remaining members of the 104th Training Corps and I settled into this
remote rural cabin.
We have been organized into the new Levi Squad to protect Eren Jaeger and Historia Reiss.
"Hey! Did you guys clean your shoes before you came in?" Eren inquired, holding some kind of broom.
"What? No way. How could we clean our shoes while carrying all this?" Jean retorted.
"How was it? Did you experience any trouble along the way?" I inquired, approaching Armin with a microfiber cloth in hand.
I was wearing some rubber gloves to avoid making stains around the cabin. I wouldn't want to make Captain Levi mad over some silly thing.
Wearing rubber gloves makes it difficult for me to scratch my face when it gets itchy, so whenever I want to scratch shoulder, I look like I'm having a spasm as I try to break my neck.
"It was smooth. Nothing dangerous happened along the way. Although we did encounter a bear." he sweatdropped.
"That sounds dangerous. What happened? Did you fight the bear and won?" I asked.
"Not really, we avoided contact with it and sprinted back while carrying all of these." Armin gestured to something in his arms.
It was metallic and it looked like it was an item that belonged to the kitchen. Perhaps, a large pot?
"We're back." Mikasa announced as she carried an ax with her left arm and rested it on her shoulder.
In her other arm were chopped logs that she had gotten after going out to the woods with Historia to get some wood we can use.
"Wait, why were you chopping firewood?" Armin asked, approaching Mikasa and Historia, who were both carrying wood.
"I don't want to get rusty." Mikasa answered.
"You were injured by a Titan! You should still be in bed." Armin reminded that time her body got crushed in a Titan's hand.
"I told her not to do it, but she insisted. She was even doing sit-ups earlier!" Eren sighed.
"You were peeping on her, you scoundrel?!" Jean yelled, his jealousy taking over. Here they go again.
"Although you don't want to get rusty, if you feel any sort of pain, just inform me. Don't forget to rest." I lightly scolded her.
"Of course, but when I'm fine, I'll do the heavy work." Mikasa replied before walking ahead.
"Mikasa, you're not a wild animal!" Armin groaned before the door got shut in front of him.
"It kinda feels like we're back in the Training Corps." Sasha recalled the odd and weird times we spent together in those 3 years.
I remember the sound of munching on the bed above Annie, Sasha always snacked on something in the middle of the night.
I could already hear Historia and the Ymir's constant bickering early in the morning, always arguing about their contrasting views.
I remember Connie making jokes that were sometimes funny and other times, plain rude and offensive.
There were plenty of other memorable moments during those 3 years we spent together in the Training Corps.
"But why were we all picked for the new Levi Squad? Isn't protecting Eren and Historia too important to leave up to us?" Armin pondered.
"It just means they can see we're talented." Sasha replied. Sasha...you were not sleek with that move.
"Sasha, what did you just put in your bag?" Armin questioned, his expression darkening.
"Nothing remotely resembling bread." Sasha nervously turned to us, her expression darkening as well.
"There's no point in hiding it from us. We all saw it." I argued, my expression darkening as well.
The others then began discussing about Sasha's action. Eren reminded us that we should finish cleaning before Captain Levi comes back.
"Welcome back, Captain Levi." I greeted him when I noticed him entering the cabin and walking past Historia.
"Thanks. Why are you all fighting?" Captain Levi glanced at me when he said, 'thanks', and proceeded to approach the others.
Captain Levi approached the table and swiped his hand underneath it, revealing the dirt.
He noted with disappointment that we should have had enough time to clean, but postponed that discussion for later.
He announced that he will be taking us out to work on Deputy Commander Hangi's experiment regarding Eren's powers.
The experiment goes poorly, with Eren exhibiting increasingly less control over his transformations.
Eren's Titan no longer appears at its full size and has lost significant muscle mass that made him appear as a muscular Titan.
Additionally, most of Eren's body is hanging out the back of the nape, his butt is dangling out as well.
When he doesn't respond to Hanji's shouts, Mikasa jumped off her horse and ran up to him with her blades drawn.
Deputy Commander Hanji also came down to Eren and tried pulling his body from his Titan.
"I'll have to check the situation out as well." I sighed before making my way over to the Titan that had collapsed on the ground.
"Deputy Commander Hanji, wait! Eren's bleeding!" Mikasa pointed out, but she pulled Eren even more.
"Look at that, Moblit! Quick, do a sketch of Eren's face!" she squealed, turning to Moblit, who just groaned.
"Do you have any kind of humanity in you?" I sighed before helping Mikasa cut off the flesh that was attached to Eren's face.
"Ew." I cringed at the way Eren looked with his flesh still sticking to his face and his tongue sticking out.
I stood up and used my ODM gear to make my way back to Armin and Captain Levi, who were standing on a cliff that leads down to where Eren is.
The two of them stared at me, asking me if the experiment made some progress. I shook my head as a 'no'.
"Looks like it'll be a long while before we can use the Titans' hardening ability to seal the wall." Captain Levi sighed.
"Yes. I knew it was a long shot when I suggested it." Armin mumbled, staring at Eren's Titan form.
"It's a good plan in theory. We wouldn't need to transport tons of materials to the wall, only Eren." Captain Levi argued.
"But in the end, only Eren can do this." I retorted. How long will it take for Eren to be able to use this ability?
Deputy Commander Hanji announced that the experiment is done and Sir Keiji informed the Scouts to make sure there are no witnesses.
"Let's go, Y/n. We have to go to Trost District." Armin reminded as he walked ahead.
I nodded and caught up with him so that the two of us can go to the wagon together to head back to the cabin.
"Lately, I have been having some weird visions." I mentioned, striking up a conversation.
"Visions? As in past memories or dreams you've had before?" Armin guessed, but I shook my head.
"They're like...someone else's perspective. However, I always see the perspective in the sky." I explained.
"Can you use it right now or does it happen randomly?" Armin asked. I'm glad he doesn't think I'm going insane.
"I can use it sometimes, but it usually happens randomly." I answered.
"When was the last time you used it or accidentally used it?" he fired another question my way.
"Right now...and there are people...over there...they're watching us with binoculars." I pointed to my right and stared in that direction.
āžāž āž āžāžšāžŧāž āž āžāž
"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Armin asked, entering my room. I forgot to completely close the door, so it was left ajar.
"I'm writing a letter to Commander Erwin to inform him about my vision. He instructed me to inform him if something new happens." I explained.
"Don't you think Commander Erwin is giving you special attention? As in...a little bit too much attention?" he asked.
"I think it's because he was close to my older sister. Lada always talked about him when she comes back home." I answered.
"You know, you've changed...in a good way, of course." Armin mentioned, taking a seat on my bed. I turned to him and raised a brow, telling him to elaborate.
"You used to be really cold to others, not even bothering to have a chat with them." he stated.
"You even talked about the corpses of your comrades as if it was nothing. It was terrifying and I thought..." he paused.
"You thought?" I repeated, waiting for him to continue. I have changed quite a bit, huh?
"I thought that the Y/n I knew, since childhood, was gone forever. I was so worried." he chuckled.
"Well, I'm back, I guess. I thought that maybe...it was okay to interact with them. Maybe it's okay...to get attached, just a little bit." I mumbled.
"These people I'm with are strong soldiers. They won't go down without a fight. And if they do end up falling, I'll be there to help them back up." I declared.
"That's the Y/n I know." Armin smiled for the first time in a while. A genuine smile...with a hint of relief in it.
"I'm glad you're back." he whispered, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me in for a warm hug.
I accepted it and hugged back, enjoying the warmth he radiated from his body. I rested my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
His heartbeat was fast, but not too fast as to worry about it. It was as if he had been running for 10 minutes straight.
Soon, I'll be someone who you don't have to worry about. I'll be someone reliable to all of you. I'll be someone who can fight.
I won't get attached that much. I promised myself not to overdo it, but for now, I guess I can loosen up a little.
I'll try not to get too attached to them, though. If I do...I'll only get hurt and I don't want that to happen again.
So, I'm going to stand up straight with my fist on my chest to dedicate my heart as a soldier to humankind.
I'm going to stand with my head up, facing forward, and never turning back ever again. I can't afford to go down.
I'll fight until my very last breath and fight with the people I care about.
People who are unable to abandon anything, can't ever change anything. That's what Armin told me before.
So, right here and now, I'm going to abandon my past and forget about my horrible memories.
I'm going to change. I'm going to fight for what I want most. I'm going to fight for my freedom, alongside my comrades.
I am going to be a soldier to humankind in order to achieve freedom.

Eren and Historia are called to join everyone else, and Deputy Commander Hanji informs us of the death of Pastor Nick.
He was tortured and then killed earlier this morning in the Trost District barracks by the First Interior Squad.
The First Interior Squad, of the Military Police Brigade, is a group that normally operates in the capital.
Deputy Commander Hanji was not able to get more than a glimpse of the body, but it was enough to see that all his fingernails had been torn out.
From this, Captain Levi is able to conclude that Pastor Nick had not talked before being killed.
In other words, the Military Police does not know that the Scouts are also looking into the Reiss family.
"Captain Levi, there's a word from Commander Erwin." a lady came inside of the cabin and handed him a scroll.
She is relatively of slim build and has an average height for a female. She also has short dark hair that has straight bangs and straight ends.
"Everyone out. We're not safe here. Leave no trace of our presence." Captain Levi ordered. Everyone was confused but got to work.
I stood up and headed to the room that I shared with Mikasa, Historia, and Sasha.
Seeing the envelope, with the letter inside of it, on the desk, I grabbed it and began to unlit every lantern in my way.
Historia and Sasha came rushing into the room and began to arrange the beds and leave the room dusty, to make it look like it had not been used.
I passed by the male's room and saw the guys doing the same thing. Although, only half of them were there.
I shook my head and focused on our current objective, leave no trace of our presence.
My eyes dart to the window to see Mikasa and Eren getting rid of the footprints outside.
Since I wasn't paying attention, my body collided with another person's body. I looked up and saw Armin staring at me with a hint of surprise.
"Sorry about that." he apologized and offered a hand for me to grab. I reached my hand out and placed it on top of his palm.
He lifted me from the ground and smiled at me before leaving to get rid of the other possible evidences.
After a few minutes, we all got dressed and left the cabin that we were staying in for a while.
By sunset, the cabin was swarmed by the Military Police, but we were already outside in the woods.
"That was close. What would have happened to us if we hadn't left immediately?" Connie sighed in relief.
"But how did Commander Erwin..." Armin's voice trailed off as he glanced at Captain Levi, asking him for answers.
Captain Levi revealed that the government has ceased all Scout activity outside of the Wall and demanded that Eren and Historia be handed over.
Ma'am Nifa adds that after she received the message from Erwin, the Military Police came to arrest him.
For some reason, I could hear voices that were obviously not mine. They sounded kind, but they were hostile.
Get away from Commander Erwin!
Don't touch him!
Why arrest a man so great, you swines?!
I could tell I wanted to head over to where Commander Erwin was and save him.
Thankfully, Armin shook my shoulder to bring me back to reality. I looked up at him and he informed me that it was time to go.
"Are you okay? You've were spacing out." Armin pointed out. I gave him some reassurance by shaking my head and telling him that it was nothing.
The next day in Trost District, Connie notices that the royal family's flag is hanging everywhere due to the anniversary of the King's coronation.
The Military Police takes the opportunity to distribute rations from the royal family's reserves to the population of Trost to build public favor of the King.
It's quite sad, really. The people in Trost District are willing to do anything for food rations and the fake King and his servants are taking advantage of this unfortunate situation.
Instead of helping the people out of the kindness of their hearts, they're doing this to gain the people's trust.
Meanwhile, we make our way through Trost when a wagon appears out of nowhere, barreling towards us.
My view this time was completely different. The vision suddenly decided to kick in.
"Watch out! Behind us!" I screamed when I noticed some kind of vehicle coming straight towards us from behind.
My body was walking forward, though. For some reason, I can see from above. I can see what's happening from above.
The people inside the wagon grabbed what appears to be Eren and Historia, but they're actually Jean and Armin in disguise.
"Armi- I mean, Christa and Eren! They've been kidnapped again!" Sasha cried out. I'm sorry, Armin and Jean.
Using this chance, I looked up at the blue sky to find the source, or rather, whose eyes I am looking through.
I then noticed a bird just staring at us while flapping its wings, not planning to fly away.
To explain to you what I'm seeing, think about it this way. You are using your dominant hand to write down criminal names on a notebook.
Your other hand, however, is grabbing something else, let's say, for instance, a potato chip.
Now think of your dominant hand as the vision from the sky and your other hand as my actual vision.

Eren and Historia are being transported in a completely different, enclosed wagon by Keiji.
"Yeah? You like that? Let me hear you. Come on, admit it. You're enjoying this. Go on and let me hear your voice. You know you want to." some random pervert started touching Historia, or rather, Armin in...some places.
Armin gasped when the pervert let out a warm breath that gently touched his neck, causing tears to form in his eyes.
Jean's eyes widened, but he could only look away. In this situation, they can't do anything but be powerless.
This was the exact reason why Jean didn't want to go through this a second time. He despised being Eren's double.
"You're so muscular for a girl your age." the pervert remarked, slightly blushing as he continued to...touch him.
Due to one of them, the weird pervert, molesting Armin, Mikasa warned Levi that their disguises are not going to last.
Noting that the kidnappers appear to be amateurs, he left the situation in his squad's hands while he goes to Eren.
"Also, don't let that beast come out of her cage until its time. I managed to knock her out, but she'll wake up soon." Levi informed.
"Understood." Mikasa replied before turning to the girl who got knocked out by her own Captain, who couldn't even handle her.
She had gone on a rampage when she saw the pervert molesting Armin. Levi had to knock out her consciousness.
He didn't want her to ruin the plan they came up with and he certainly did not want to clean up after her mess.
Mikasa carried the young lady and snuck inside of the warehouse. She hid behind one of the boxes.
Just then, Y/n woke up and was about to
