"bro, why does chris always fucking do this" shouts matt, hitting chris on the arm when he said 'fucking'

it had been 23 minutes into filming a car video, and chris had already burped 5 times and it started to annoy matt. "you're always burping, crazy kid" says nick, sitting next to dejah in the back seat. the fans had been requesting to
see dejah as she hadn't been in any videos recently, so she agreed on filming one.

"ok, whatever." says chris, rolling his eyes, "are one of you dumbasses gonna read the next question?" he says, with a voice crack at the end which made the whole car start to laugh, even chris.

"gonna read what exactly? the next.. quᵉˢtion?" mocks matt, "guys, this is not me being mean, this is simply pay back from the time he called me 'tough guy matt' and everybody thought it was so funny and continued to bully me for hours."

"stop being such a baby" laughs dejah, "and it was funny. but anyways, back to the point of the video."

"OKAYY, NOT DEJAH EATING THIS UP RIGHT NOWW-"

"petition for dejah to start her own channel?" says chris, turning around in his seat to look at dejah who smiles awkwardly.

"not gonna happen" she deadpans, looking down at her phone in front of her, trying to find another question to ask for the q&a.

chris turns back around in his seat. he needed to stay professional for the video, but if he wasn't recording right now he would of said something to dejah about how she keeps being rude or ignoring him.

"okay, question. biggest lie you have told your parents" asks dejah, putting her phone back down on the car seat.

"damn, that's a good one." explains matt, "i think the time that i stole the car to drive to my friends house" he says looking dead into the camera, "mom, don't kill me."

the whole car starts to laugh at matts sudden fear once he realises that his mom will probably see this clip, "when chris told mom that he wasn't an ipad kid." laughs nick, hiding behind the seat so chris doesn't turn around to punch him.

"unnecessary" shrugs chris, pouting his lip out.

"that gave me a great idea, i'm gonna post a photo of chris in his ipad kid era on my secret spam account." explains matt, putting his hands together deviously.

dejah laughs, "im gonna post on my secret spam too"

"what's your secret spam account?" asks chris, immediately regretting it. why would he even try when he knows she's going to shut him down.

"@ dejahsspam with 2 m's" she says, not talking to chris but to the camera on the dash board.

"ok guys, that's gonna be it for today's video with our special guest dejah!" says nick, giving dejah a hug, "all of our socials will be in the description, so thank you for watching this video." he watches as matt picks up the camera and screams into it up close as he always did in the outros.

"i'm gonna get some snacks from the petrol station down the road, anyone wanna come with?" asks matt, looking around the car for answers to his question.

"nah, i'm good"
"yeah, same here."

"i'll come" says nick, opening the car door, matt doing the same.

the car suddenly became silent. it was just chris and dejah now, and the awkwardness was seriously unbearable. chris cleared his throat a few times and dejah was tapping on the window to fill the silence a little bit. it got so quiet, that chris even started to whistle.

"you know what, i'm just gonna say it. why have you been ignoring me recently?" he asks, spinning his head around to face dejah who looks away, looking out of the window.

"i don't know what you're talking about chris." she says, acting dumb. she tapped on the window again. chris turned back around and furrowed his eyebrows.

"the day after i apologised to you in the pool, you've been acting off with me. i just want to know what's changed?" he explains, also looking out of the window. he knew this was the best opportunity to get answers as they were finally alone so he wanted them all answered.

"nothing."

"well.." he sighs, "you make me feel like shit any time i try and talk to you because you just ignore me or shut me down? its seriously getting on my nerves dejah." his stomach starts to do that thing again where it drops, and then the dizziness starts, followed by the headaches.

"i don't know what to do with that information?" she replies dryly. she is showing little to no care in anything that chris has to say and it was seriously chris' last straw. the sarcasm that was coming from dejah had him angry.

"you're being such a bitch!" he shouts, turing to look at her. she finally acknowledges him and she turns to look at him.

she honestly couldn't believe what just came out of his mouth. she felt truly hurt and offended by what he had said. yeah, she was being sarcastic and playing dumb but that was uncalled for. she sits there in silence for a moment, just to process what had just happened. "excuse me?" was the best thing that she could come up with. when chris spins back around in his seat she felt the need to add something else, "so it's not okay when jude does it but it's okay when you do it?"

chris cups his face, sliding his hands to his hair where he grips it tight for a moment, "that was different. he meant it in a sexual way, i meant it in a bad friend way-"

"then why didn't you just call me a bad friend then? you didn't have to call me a bitch." she says, watching chris look back at her for one final time. she gets this weird feeling in her stomach from how he's looking at her so she focuses back on the window beside her. the car fell silent again. the pair just stopped talking. it was probably best for both of them to just calm down for a moment before they started to talk again.

"why do we always fight." she sighs, biting her bottom lip.

chris thinks on the topic for a moment, and they do always fight. whether it's small little dirty looks in the halls or big arguments, they're always fighting. he opens his mouth to say something but he stops, "i don't know." he answers, because he genuinely didn't understand why their relationship wasn't normal. why couldn't they just be normal and have a normal friendship like normal people.

"maybe.. we're not good for each other." she deadpans. the car went into another pause of uncomfortable silence. the only sound being people walking by and talking.

"you're probably right." breathes chris, scratching his forehead. "but i don't want it to be like this. i don't want to fight all the time but it just seems to always happen to us. i'm trying my best to prevent it from happening.." he explains, thinking back on the things he said earlier, "and me calling you a bitch doesn't help at all, so i am sorry about that. and i know i always say sorry, but i do mean it every time."

dejah chuckles to herself for a moment, "no it's fine. i was actually being a bitch so i don't blame you. besides, i forgot about that anyways."

they both share a small laugh together but it died down shortly after. "this is going to sound like really weird.." huffs chris, pausing as they both heard a sound coming from outside the car and they both turn their heads out the window.

they both watch as matt and nick hop back into the car. when they climb inside, nick instantly groans. "sorry that we took so long, the guy at the register was a fucking weirdo oh my god."

"wait what happened?" asks dejah, waiting for matt and nick to buckle into their seats before they start explaining the story.

"so basically, nick accidentally bought the ginger dr pepper instead of the regular one and he only realises when we had already paid and walked out of the store. so he has a full on tantrum about how much he 'hates the ginger one' so we go back inside so nick can swap the drinks and get his money back, but the man at the register thought nick was trying to scam him or something so they got into a little argument and nick ended up spending more money to buy another one because the register guy didn't let nick get his money back to swap it." explains matt, catching his breath after his long rant. the whole car starts to laugh and nick doesn't look amused.

"anyone want this fucking ginger one?" he says, holding it up in the air, "cause i sure as fucking hell don't want it?"

"i'll try it i guess" says dejah, taking the dr pepper that was in the air out of his hand. she took a sip and she immediately shakes her head in disgust, "ew. just ew. WHO ACTUALLY ENJOYS THAT SHIT?"

chris starts to laugh, "lemme try" he says, taking the bottle from her hand. he ruffled up his sleeves so they were over his hand so he could wipe the opening of the bottle before he drank it. dejah watches as he does so and she frowns slightly. he takes a sip and he shrugs slightly, "ehh, not bad." he says, taking another sip.

"that's.. fucking crazy to me." laughs matt, watching chris take yet another sip before he places it in the cup holder in the middle of the seat.
