"Please come and sit, I have been waiting for you. Daniel, Damien and April," she looks each one of us up and down and I feel a cool chill go throughout my body. 

I sit in between Damien and Daniel on the grey leather couch. She waves the blond guy/wolf away and he leaves, closing the door behind him. She gives us a warm smile before sitting back down in her seat. 

Me: I have a bad feeling 

I tell Daniel and he squeezes my hand.

I am startled by the new voice and almost jump out of my seat. The lady smiles even brighter now and I want to get out of here immediately. 

"Don't be scared April, I will not hurt you." she says. I glance at Daniel quickly and his face is hard as stone. The woman turns to Daniel and she smiles with her pearly white teeth showing. 

"Daniel you have grown since the last time I have seen you," she laughs. How does she even know him? I think in my head. I have never seen this woman in my entire life. I glance at Damien and he is shivering from the feeling of his mate being close by. 

"You poor thing, I should call Mia up so you won't be shivering like that," the lady says with a pouty face and Damien perks up at the name of his mate and his whole face blushes a deep red. 

"Who are you and how do you know our names? And how can you read my thoughts?" I raise my tone higher than usual and she lifts her eyebrow up at me. 

"You have a lot of questions don't you," she looks at me and then looks at Daniel, who is not moving an inch. If I was not holding his hand I would have thought he was not breathing either. "Daniel, why don't you tell your little mate who I am? I mean I am part of your little past right," she laughs. 

My whole demeanor changes and I still my body at the sound of Daniel's past. He sets his jaw and pulls his hand away from mine and I suddenly feel cold.

"This is Janice, she was the Luna of the Rogue pack," is all he says and it takes me a moment to register. My eyes widens and I can feel Damien's body flinch too at the sound of that. I look at the woman in front of me and she gives a cute wave. 

"I thou-I thought," Damien stutters, trying to find his words. 

"You thought every leadership position in the Rogue pack was either dead or imprisoned for life, right?" she asks and both Damien and I nod. "Well, that is not true," she cracks another smile, "Before we attacked the pack that ended our legacy, some of the Rogue pack did not agree with going because we felt that it would be the end," she chuckles dryly. 

"But my stubborn Alpha/mate was so arrogant that he decided to go anyway, despite what most of us felt. I decided to make it clear to him that I was not going and that I would like for every child and person that did not feel comfortable in fighting, for them to instead stay with me, while him and the ones willing to fight to go." she scoffs and rolls her eyes. 

"He of course did not agree with me and wanted everyone to participate in the battle. So after telling him that, I decided to gather a small group of people that I trusted and we left the night before the battle. I was scared because he had the ability to track my group and I down if he wanted too, but he did not." she looks off into the distance. 

"After me and my group found this area, we had gotten the news that the Rogue pack was destroyed in the battle between the Red Blood pack and the Blue Moon pack. My mate and my dear Alpha was executed and everyone who stood for him were also executed too. Even my son..." she stops talking and silence fills the room. 

"But little by little I have seen people from the Rogue pack come from out of the shadows. My group and I decided to make a new pack called the, Survivors. Any wolf who is not accepted anywhere can come here and be apart of this pack. We live in peace here and believe in letting you do what you want as long as it is not harming to anyone. You can be who you want be and you can be with whoever you want to be with," she says softly looking at all three of us.

"But I am just so surprised to see you Daniel," she looks at him. "How is your family?" she asks and Daniel for the first time looks her right in the face. 

"I don't know, I haven't seen them for a while, but I am sure you already knew that," he says deeply and I feel like I am sitting next to someone totally different. 

"I know, but I am just so surprised that you left them for this little..." her eyes turn to scan me. 

"Don't." Daniel growls and she looks at him surprised. 

"What I am only stating a fact. Your father was the delta of the pack, but he gave all of that up to take refuge in a pack that killed his people," she shakes her head. 

"He did what he had to do for us," Daniel hisses at her, "My mother and sister were not fortunate enough to go with you, so he did the best he could do and surrendered." 

"He surrendered like a coward and had my son and mate killed!" she yells. Damien and I cringe at the raise of their voices. Before anyone can say anything else there is a knock at the door and Damien jumps, shivering even worse than before. 

Janice tells whoever to come in and my eyes meet a girl that is semi-tall with freckles all over her pale skin, her green eyes are the thing that stands out the most as she looks at us. Her eyes cut to Damien's immediately. 

"Mia." He whispers.
