Chapter Twenty-Eight
⊚ Unleashed ⊚
A guy named Kyle was crouched on the ground looking underneath a dumpster on the side of the animal clinic. "Come here, Bullet... Come here, Bullet..." He said as he reached his arm under before hissing and pulling his harm back.
"Ahh! Son of a bitch! Did you just bite me?" He asked as he looked down at a bite mark on his hand that's when he noticed his dog five feet away from the dumpster. Kyle furrowed his brows before leaning back down to look at the figure underneath the dumpster. "Closer..." Someone whispered making him leaned closer, "Come closer..." They whispered again before something ran at him and everything started to spin.
Once everything stopped spinning Kyle was leaning against a tree, a gash in his head as his dog leash was wrapped around his neck, tight. Hands reached around the tree, holding his head up before dragging a knife across his throat.
Everything went blurry again and when it went back to normal rain now swept through the trees, pelting down on the head of a shivering figure. Harris slowly looked up, blinking against the downpour.
"Please... Don't do this..." He said as he struggled against the bindings which lash him to a large oak tree. But a thin wire tightens against the skin of his neck. It was wrapped around the tree to a steel rod held by black gloved hands.
"I did what you asked- I did everything. You still need me. They're going to figure it out and they're going to find you. You still need me." He pleased and the hands pause, a moment of consideration. But only a moment before the steel rod makes a final violent turn as Harris's eyes widen in shock.
Wren gasped as she shot up in bed, breathing heavily until some gently grabbed her arm. "What's wrong?" Isaac asked making her glance at her before shaking her head, "Bad dream." She said and he furrowed his brows. "You've been getting those a lot lately. What are they even about?" Isaac asked and she shook her head, "I never remember them. I always forget them a minute after I wake up, all I remember what that I had a bad dream." She said.
"Somethings happening to me. I'm having dreams that seem really important but I can never remember them. I was able to see what you were seeing when you were i hypnosis. And something's telling me that theres other things happening but I can remember them." She said and he sighed, as he grabbed her hand.
"I'm sure we'll figure out what's going on eventually." He said and she nodded, "I hope so." She said before he pulled her back down. Wren sighed softly as she laid her head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her. "If you have another dream. Tell me what you saw the second you wake up." He said and she nodded slightly.

"All right, since inertia is a subject of which you all know plenty, why don't we start with momentum?" Harris said as they sat in biology. Isaac and Wren sat next to each other while Scott sat in the table behind them. "They're here for a reason. Give me a chance to figure it out before you do anything. Okay?" Scott whispered and Wren looked over ar Isaac who looked like he was close to murdering someone.
During track the boys found out the new twins are the Alpha's who attacked Isaac and the girl who saved him.
"Isaac..." She said in a warning tone making him glance at her and she gave him a look. "Danny... What do we know about momentum?" Harris asked making Danny look up, "It's the product of mass and velocity. The more massive something is, the faster it's going-" Danny explained before Isaac cut in.
"Mr. Harris, can I use the bathroom. please?" Isaac asked making Wren sigh as Harris gestured to the door and Isaac got up. "I have to go to the bathroom, too-" Scott said as he started to get up but Harris stopped him, "One at a time." Harris said.
"But, I really have to go. Like, medical-emergency-have-to-go." Scott said impatiently, "Mr. McCall, if your bladder suddenly exploded and urine began pouring from every orifice, I would still respond, 'One at a time'. Is that enough hyperbole for you, or would you like me to come up with something more vivid?" Harris asked and Scott sighed.
"No... No, that's pretty good..." Scott said and him and Wren glanced at each other before Wren sighed and stood up, walking over to the door. "Miss. Martin if you take one more step I'll be seeing you in detention." Mr. Harris said making Wren looked at him before shrugging, "Alright." She said before walking out.
"Miss. Martin!"
Wren paused when she saw Isaac with Ethan on the ground infront of him with his mouth blood. Isaac looked back at her as she furrowed her brows slightly before she glanced down the hallway to see Aiden walking away making her sigh. "What is this? What's going on?" Harris asked as he and the rest of the class walked out and Danny went over to Ethan, "You all right?" He asked and Ethan shook his head slightly.
"Uh, he just... He just came at me." Ethan said as Scott walked over to stand next to Wren while Harris looked at Isaac, "Isaac, what the hell did you do?" Harris asked.
⊚
"Don't let it bother you. It's just lunchtime detention and you guys have it together so it's not that bad. If all they want right now is to piss you off, then don't give in. They're just trying to get to you." Scott said as he, Isaac and Wren walked over to Isaac's locker and Isaac glanced down the hallway and nodded.
"It's not just me." He said making them look over to see Aiden flirting with Lydia. "What about tonight?" Aiden asked as Lydia shut her locker, "Nope. Studying." She said and Aiden shrugged slightly. "I could help you." Aiden suggested and Lydia crossed her arms as she leaned against her locker, "Do you have an IQ higher than one-seventy?" She asked.
"Okay, you could help me." Aiden said and Lydia hummed, "Tonight, then?" Aiden asked and Lydia chuckled and patted his chest before walking away. Aiden looked over at Scott, Wren and Issac before smirking and walking away.
"What?" Scott asked as Isaac smirked at them, "Now they're getting to you guys too."

"The two of you will wash all the boards in this hall." Harris said as he pointed to te students, "Reshelving the library." He said, pointed at two other students before walking over to were Wren, Isaac and Allison sat.
"You three, restocking the janitor's closet." He said making Isaac glance back at Allison before quickly getting up. "Oh, Mr. Harris...? Does it have to be with her?" Isaac asked as he nodded towards Allison making Harris smirk, "Now that I know you'd prefer not to... yes, you have work with her." He said making Isaac sigh.
"Great." He said while Wren and Allison glanced at each other.
A little while later the three of them walked into the janitor's closet and Allison set a box down. "I'm gonna go get the rest." She said and Wren nodded before looking over at Isaac as Allison walked out. "If you want you can stay outside and me and Allison can restock. We can just tell Harris that you helped." She said and he shook his head.
"No, I'm fine." He said and she raised her eyebrows, "You sure?" She asked and he nodded. "If you need to step out and anytime then do so." She said and he nodded slightly, "Okay." He said and she smiled at him. She picked up a stack of paper towels and went to put them on the top shelve but couldn't reach.
She tossed them but overshot the shelf, falling to the ground making her groan as Isaac chuckled. "I could have just put those up there for you." He said as he put some on the top shelf and she playfully glared at him. "Shut up. It's not fair that you're a tree." She said and he looked at her in amusement, "A tree?" He asked and she nodded.
He hummed and nodded slightly before shrugging, "I guess it would make since then. A wren on a tree." He said. She furrowd her brows as she thought for a moment before gasping and hitting his arm, "Isaac!" She hissed making him laugh.
All of the sudden the door closed making them turn around. "Uh..." Isaac mumbled as he over to the door, "Maybe it locked from the outside? Allison should be back any minute. She can unlock it." She said and Isaac pushed against the door. "No, there's something against it..." Isaac said before he started to breathe heavily.
"Okay, okay, okay, okay..." He mumbled as he pushed on the door, "Isaac." Wren said as she walked up to him. "Come on..." He mumbled and she grabbed his hands and pulled him from the door. "Isaac, hey. Look at me." She said calmly as she grabbed his face making him grab her wrists.
"You okay, nothing's going to happen to you." She said calmly as he squeezed his eyes shut, breathing heavily as his hands tightened around her wrist. "Listen to my heart beat. Focus on that, okay?" She said and he focused his hearing but his claws still slowly came out, piercing her skin but she made no reaction.
"You okay, Isaac." She said in a slightly whisper and he took a deep breath starting to calm down. She kissed his forehead as his claws slowly retracted making her sigh softly. Suddenly there was a loud scraping noise before the door quickly opened and Isaac instantly pulled away from Wren. He quickly got out of the closet and sat against the wall while Wren walked out.
"Are you okay?" Allison asked as she grabbed Wren's bloody wrist making Isaac look at his girlfriend in guilt before putting his head in his hands.
"Oh god." He said in a whispered, "I'm fine." Wren said and Isaac looked up at them. "I'm sorry, I didn't-I didn't mean to do that..." He said said Wren nodded, "I'm okay." She said as Isaac sighed softly. "I'm so sorry..." He said while putting his head in his hand before she walked over to him and crouched down next to him.
"It's not his fault." Wren said while she gently gently grabbed his hand and he tightly held on but also making sure he wasnt going to hurt her again. "I know." Scott said before sighing, "I guess now we know they want to do more than just get you angry- they want to get someone hurt." She said and Isaac looked up at Scott.
"So, are we gonna do something?" He asked and Scott, Allison and Wren all glanced at each other, "Yeah... I'm gonna get them angry. Really angry."

"Hurry." Isaac said anxious as he glanced around while Wren worked on one of the twins bikes. She looked at him in amusement and nodded before getting up. She turned it in and the bike roared to life making Isaac look at her impressed.
"Hop on, babe." Wren said and Isaac chuckled before getting on placing his hands around the grips. "Okay, pull back with your left hand. Kick down to put it in gear." She said before placing her hand over his. "Front brake." She said as she squeezed his hand on the break, "Throttle." She as she made him twist his hand forward on the handle making him rev up the engine a bit. "Back brake for stopping." She said as she nodded to the back break and he nodded before looking at her as they're faces where close to each other.
"How do you know all this?" He asked and she was about to say something paused slightly, "I'm not sure but trust me on it." She said and he nodded slightly. "That's comforting." He said and she smiled at him before quickly kissing him. "Try not to crash." She said as she stepped away, "Yeah, been there, done that..." He said as she pulled her phone out, stepping infront of the bike.
She quickly took a picture and smiled, "I found a new wallpaper." She said making him chuckle as she quickly sent it to Scott. "You gonna ride with me?" Isaac asked and she gave him a look, "Obviously." She said before handing him the bike helmet then climbing on behind him, wrapping her arms around his torso.
Engine Roaring, Isaac tears down the corridor on the motorcycle, He soars past the locker room, heading right for Aiden who comes hurtling down the stairs. Isaac hits the brakes, skidding towards him before Aiden grabs the handlebars, stopping the bike short. The tires screech and spin, kicking up smoke before Wren climbed off the back of the bike.
"Get off my bike!" Aiden said and Isaac took the helmet off and smirked. "No problem." He said before climbing up onto the bike, grabbing Aiden's shoulders before flipping over him. He wrapper his arm around Wren's shoulder as they stood back, watching as students filled the halls while Aiden climbed onto the bike.
"You have got to be kidding me." Miss. Blake said as she pushed past students, walking over to Aiden, "You realize this is gonna result in a suspension?" She asked. Aiden looked over at Wren, Isaac, Scott and Allison, the guys where smirking while the girls were laughing while the girls high fived each other.

"You guys really rode one of their bikes into the school? I missed being able to see that?" Stiles asked as him and Wren got out of the jeep and she smiled and nodded. "You should have seen the look on Aiden's face when he ran out of class." She said making him chuckle. Not long after the whole bike thing, Stiles had asked Wren for her help with figuring out the sacrifices.
Stiles walked into the animal clinic, holding the door open of Wren as Deaton looked up at them. "You're out of school early." Deaton said and Stiles nodded, "Yeah, free period, actually." He said awkwardly.
"Um, I was just headed home to see my dad. He's, uh... You know, I guess you probably heard people are kind of getting murdered again. It's his job to figure it out." Stiles rambled making Deaton nod, "I gathered as much from the "Sheriff" title." He said and Wren chuckled quietly.
"Yeah, um... You know, but it gets kind of hard for him to do his job when he doesn't have all the information. And we all know he's missing pretty much half the story here, right? So then, I started thinking, and I remembered someone else who does have a lot of information. Someone who always seems to know more than anyone else around here. You." Stiles rambled again and Deaton nodded.
"Come on in." He said before walking into the examination room and Stiles and Wren glanced at each other before following.
"All these symbols and things- the triskeles, the bank logo, the mountain ash- all of it is from the Celtic Druids. And anyone who has ever looked up "human sacrifice" before knows that the Druids had a pretty big hard-on when it came to giving one up to the gods." Stiles explained as they walked into the back were Deaton had a bunch of jars and more on one of the metal tables.
"You ever hear of the Lindow man? Two-thousand-year-old body found in England? He was found strangled, head bashed in, throat cut-- three-fold death. They also found pollen grains in his stomach... Guess what favorite Druid plant that was?" Stiles asked and Deaton picked up a jar and pulled out a small branch of the plant. White berries stuck amid dark green leaves.
"Mistletoe."
"I'm just telling you everything you already know, aren't I?" Stiles asked and Deaton didnt answer, "Then why aren't you telling us???" Stiles asked and Deaton sighed softly. "Maybe because when you've spent every moment of the last ten years trying to push something away- denying it, lying about it- becomes a pretty powerful habit." He said and Wren raised her eyebrows, "So this person, are they a Druid?" She asked and Deaton shook his head.
"No. It's someone copying a centuries-old practice of a people who should have known better. Do you know what the word "Druid" means in Gaelic?" He asked and Stiles shook his head, "No." He said and before Deaton could say anything Wren spoke up.
"Wise oak." She said making them look at her and Deaton nodded, "The Celtic Druids were close to nature. They believed they kept it in balance. They were philosophers and scholars- they weren't serial killers." Deaton explained and Stiles sighed. "Yeah, well, this one is." He said and before anyone could say anything Wren's phone started ringing making her pull it out to see Lydia calling her.
"Hey-" She said when she answered it but Lydia quickly spoke up, "The music teacher is gone." She said making Wren furrow her brows. "Wait, what?" She asked, "The music teacher is missing. Gone. Not here." Lydia said, completely freaked out making Wren look at Stiles and Deaton with wide eyes.
"Are you sure he's missing?" She asked making Stiles park up slightly, "Not just missing- taken."

Deaton hits stop on the recording on the tablet, a disconcerted look in his eyes. "Can we get a copy of this?" He asked and Lydia nodded and takes the tablet and opens a browser on it to upload the music file to a cloud storage server while Stiles and Wren search the teacher's desk for clues.
"Hey, Doc...? Any help would be, you know... helpful." Stiles said, "Each grouping of three would have its own purpose, it's own type of power. Virgins, healers, philosophers, warriors..." Deaton said making Wren's head shoot up. "Wait, warrior, could that also be, like, a soldier?" She asked making realization cross over Stiles's face.
"Absolutely." Deaton said and Stiles pulls out a photo of the Music Teacher from an open desk drawer. It's a wedding picture, arms around his wife, he wears the military dress of an Army Officer. "Kyle was in ROTC with Boyd. That's got to be it. That's the pattern." Stiles said and Deaton raised his eyebrows, "Where's Boyd?" Deaton asked.
"He's probably home by now. I'm gonna try and get him on the phone." Stiles said as he pulls out his phone while Deaton notices Lydia's expression. "Lydia...? Something wrong?" Deaton said and Lydia shook her head, "No, it was...I mean... I just thought of someone else with a military connection."
"Who?"
"It's sitting right on his desk... the West Point honor code." Lydia said making realization cross over Stiles's features, "Harris." He said making them all look at him.
They quickly run out of the room and over to Harris class to see Harris no where in sight. Deaton glances up from the West Point plaque on Harris's desk to Stiles, Wren and Lydia in the otherwise empty room. "This is just one of many possibilities. He could have simply left for the day." Deaton said trying to stay optimistic.
"Yeah, well, not without this..." Stiles said, holding up Harris's briefcase before his eyes wander to the uncapped red marker atop the tests Harris was grading. One is marked F. One an A. The next a D. But Stiles picks up another paper with a curious
