Wren's outfit:

Chapter Twenty-Two

🦎 Fury 🦎

Scott, Stiles, Wren and Stilinski walked into the station and the women at the front desk raised her eyebrows. "It's two in the morning." She said and Stilinski sighed, "Believe me, I wouldn't be here if it wasnt extremely important." He said.

"We look at the hospital stuff first, okay?" Stiles whispered making Scott and Wren look at him, "Why?" Scott asked. "Because all the murders were committed by Jackson, except for one. You remember?" He asked and they nodded, "The pregnant woman, Jessica." Wren said and Stiles nodded.

"Yeah, since Matt had to kill her himself, somebody from the hospital could've seen him." Stiles said before looking back over at the women at the front desk and his dad. The woman sighed before nodding slightly, "Thank you." He said and looked back at them, "Kids." He said to get their attention before walking away.

A little while later they all stood around watching the camera footage from the hospital. "I don't know, guys. I mean, look at this- there was a six-car pile-up that night. The hospital was jammed." Stilinski said and Stiles sighed, "All right, just keep going. Look, he had to have passed one of the cameras on that floor to get to Jessica, okay? He's gotta be on the footage somewhere." Stiles said and then someone walked past the camera.

"Oh, hold on! Stop! Did you see that? Scroll back." Scott said and Stilinski reminded the tape, "That's him! That's Matt!" Stiles said pointing at the screen making his dad look at it confused. "All I can see is the back of someone's head." He said and Stiles nodded.

"Matt's head, yeah! I sit behind him in history. He's got a very distinct cranium! It's weird." Stiles said making his dad look at him weird, "Are you crazy?" Stilinski asked making Stiles sigh.

"All right, fine. Then look at his jacket, huh? How many people do you know who wear black leather jackets?" Stiles said and Stilinski looked at him, "Millions! Literally!" He said and Wren sighed. "Can we scroll forward? There's gotta be a shot of him coming at one of the cameras at some point." She said and Stilinski nodded. He keeps the footage going until Stiles spoke up again, "Right there! Stop, stop! See, there he is again."

"You mean there's the back of his head again."

"Okay, but look- he's talking to someone." Stiles says and Scott leans in for a clearer view before his eyes widen, "He's talking to my mom."

After calling his mom, she was able to confirm that it was in fact Matt in the recordings. "We have shoe prints alongside the tire tracks at the trailer site." Stilinski said and Stiles nodded slightly, "If they match that puts Matt at the scene of three murders. The trailer, the hospital and the rave." Stiles says and Stilinski looks up from the computer screen.

"Actually, four. A credit card receipt for an oil change was signed by Matt at the garage where the mechanic was killed." He said and Stiles looked at him, "When?" He asked. "A few hours before you got there." Stilinski said making them glance at each other, "Dad, if one's an incident, two's a coincidence, three's a pattern, what's four?" Stiles asked.

"Four's enough for a warrant. Scott, call your mom back, see how quick she can get here. If I can get an official ID, I can get a search warrant. Wren, go to the front desk. Tell them to let Scott's mom in when she gets here." Stilinski said and Wren nodded and walked out.

She walked out to the front desk finding the women, laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. Her body slashed open, ripped across the front of her uniform. Wren's eyes widened until the sound of a gun cocking made her slowly look up. Standing in front of her was Matt, pointing at gun at her head while smirking.

Scott pockets his phone and turns to Stilinski and Stiles, "She's on her way here. Guys?" He asked, noticing that Stilinski and Stiles isn't paying attention. Scott follows their stare to the open door where Matt had his arm wrapped around Wren, pressing the gun up against her head making her suck in a deep breath.

"Matt? It's Matt right? Matt, whatever's going on, I guarantee there's a solution that doesn't involve a gun." Stilinski said as he held his hands up slightly and Matt chuckled, "Funny you say that. Because I don't think you're aware of just how right you are." Matt said, pressing the gun hard into the side of Wren's head making her flinch.

"I know you don't want to hurt people."

"Actually, I want to hurt a lot of people. You four weren't on my list but I could be persuaded. One way is to try calling someone with your phone in your pocket like McCall's doing. That could definitely get someone hurt." Matt says pressing the gun more onto Wren's head making her close her eyes for a moment.

"Everyone." Matt says gesturing to the desk and they all the guys put their phones on the desk. "I said everyone." He hissed in Wren ear, "Does it look like I have pockets? My phone is at home." She said.

A handcuff locks around Stilinski's wrist, one of the cuff's attached to the wall outside the holding cells. "Tighter." Matt said and Stiles glared at Matt who kept the gun pressed against Wren's head while Scott looks on. "Do what he says." Stilinski nodded reassuringly at his son. Stiles reluctantly tightens the handcuff.

Matt motions for them to move toward the corridor. But as Stiles steps back, he can't seem to turn from his father's fearful eyes until Matt shoves him forward. Scott and Stiles walk back to the front of the station, Matt still holding onto Wren's shoulder behind them.

The sound of harsh breathing makes them pause and they glanced down the adjacent hall in time to see a paralyzed deputy dragged back into a room by a human but clawed hand. Matt jams the gun into Scott's back, pushing him onward, "You going to kill everyone in here?" Scott asked.

"No. That's what Jackson's for. All I have to do is think about killing them. He does the rest."

🦎

A paper shredder roars under a heavy workload. With the gun still against Wren's head, Matt watches Scott and Stiles destroy all of the evidence in Stilinski's office. Stiles taps out a command on the computer and looks up when it beeps a confirmation.

"Deleted. And we're done. All right, so Matt, since all the people you brutally murdered deserved it because they killed you first- whatever that means- I think we're good here, right? So I'll just get my dad, you let Wren go and we'll go, you know? You continue on the whole vengeance thing. Enjoy the kanima." Stiles says and Matt goes to talk but the roar of a car engine interrupts them.

Matt holds still, listening to the sound of a car pulling up to the curb, "Sounds like your mom's here, McCall." Matt said making Scott's eyes widen. "Matt, don't do this. When she comes to the door, I'll just tell her to leave, okay? I'll say we didn't find anything. Please, Matt." Scott pleads but Matt shakes his head, waving him and Stiles over to Stilinski's open door.

Scott hesitates at the sound of the front entrance clattering open. "If you don't move right now, I'm going to kill Wren. Then Stiles and then your mom." Matt said and Scott looked at Wren for a moment before walking over to the door. Stepping outside Stilinski's office, Scott and Stiles approach the door that leads to the front desk lobby with Matt and Wren behind them. "Open it."

"Matt, please."

Pressing the gun more into Wren head making her suck in a deep breath, Matt glares at Scott. "Open the door." He said slowly. Scott puts his hand on the knob and turns it. The door slowly clicks open allowing the boys to peer out to the front desk. It's not Melissa standing in the lobby, it's Derek making Scott sigh in relief, "Oh, thank God." Scott muttered.

Before anything can happen, Derek falls back onto the floor of the office with a painful smack. Seething, he stares up at Jackson who looks down on him, head cocked like a curious animal. Matt pulled Wren along with him as he walked over to Derek who glared at him. "This is the one controlling him? This kid?" Derek asked incredulously and Matt pulled Wren with him as he crouched down next to him.

"Well, Derek, not everyone's lucky enough to be a big, bad Werewolf. Oh, yeah! That's-that's right. I've learned a few things lately. Werewolves, Hunters, Kanimas... It's like a frickin' Halloween party every full moon. Except for you, Stiles. What do you turn into?" Matt asked and Stiles shrugged slightly.

"Abominable Snowman. But, uh, it's more of, like, a wintertime thing, you know? Seasonal." Stiles said sarcastically and Matt nodded at Jackson who instantly scratched the back of Stiles' neck making Wren flinch slightly. "Hey!" Scott yelled as Stiles started to fall forward and Jackson held up his clawed hand before shaking his finger at him.

Stiles fell on top of Derek making them both groan, "You bitch..." Stiles muttered. "Get him off me." Derek said slowly.and Matt and Wren crouched down next fo them again, "Oh, I don't know, Derek- I think you two make a pretty good pair! It must kind of suck, though, to have all that power taken away from you with just a little cut to the back of the neck. I bet you're not used to feeling this helpless." Matt said and Derek looked at him.

"Scott, don't trust him." Wren said and Matt moves to wrap his hand tightly around her throat, cutting off her air circulation as her hands fly up to pry his hands off.

"Wren!"

"This work better for you?" Matt asked as Wren gasps as he tightens his hands around her throat. "Stop, just stop!" Scott yelled, "Then do what I tell you to." Matt demands as Wren's eyes teared up. "Okay, all right!" Matt removes his hand from Wren, letting her fall to the ground as she coughs and sputters for air.

Turning to Jackson, Matt motions to Stilinski's office, "Put them in there." He says before crouching down next to a heavy breathing Wren, "You better stay and not try anything." He says and she slowly looks up at him with a dark glare, "Go fuck yourself." She spat and he chuckled before standing up and looking at Scott, "You. With me."

When they walk away Jackson walked over to Wren and roughly pulled her to her feet, shoving her onto the ground of the office. Then goes back and drags Stiles and Derek into the office while Wren sat against the couch still breathing heavy.

"Wren?" Stiles asked and she nodded slightly, "I'm okay." She said, her voice was a little rough as she brought her hand up to gently rub her neck. Stiles was about to say something but the sound of a gunshot rang throughout the station making Wren flinch slightly.

A few minutes later Matt shoved Scott into the office, "The evidence is gone. Why don't you just go?" Scott said and Matt squinted at him. "You think the evidence mattered that much? I want the book." Matt demeaned making everyone look at him confused, "What? What book?" Scott asked.

"The Bestiary! And not just a few pages. I want the whole thing." He said and Wren furrowed her brows as she slowly moved to sit in the couch, "We don't have that. It's Gerard's. And what do you want it for anyway?" She asked.

"I want answers."

"To what?"

"To this." Matt says and pulls up his shirt to reveal an unexpected development forming over the skin on his side. Scales. Exactly like those on the body of the Kanima.

🦎

Stiles and Derek lie on the floor of the office while Jackson stands watch at the door. He barely moves, glancing back only briefly to make sure his captives are still immobile. Wren had moved to sit on the ground next to Stiles and was messing with her butterfly knife, which she had upgraded to an actual knife.

"Hey, do you know what's happening to Matt?" Stiles asked, "I know the book's not gonna help him. You can't just break the rules, not like this." Derek said and Wren glanced at him. "What do you mean?" She asked, "Universe balances things out. Always does." Derek said and Stiles nodded slightly

"Is it because he's using Jackson to kill people who don't deserve it?" Stiles asked and Derek nodded, "And killing people himself." He said. "So, if Matt breaks the rules of the Kanima, he becomes the Kanima? That's what you were talking about back at the rave." Wren said looking at Derek who nodded, "Balance."

"Will he believe us if we tell him that?" Stiles asked and Wren sighed and shook her head, "Considering he doesn't believe that taking pictures of me as stalking, he's definitely not gonna any of believe this." She said. "Okay. He's gonna kill all of us when he gets that book, isn't he?" Stiles asked, "Yep." Derek said. "All right, so what do we do? Do we just-do we just sit here and wait to die?" Stiles asked.

"Unless I can figure out a way to push the toxin out of my body faster, like triggering the healing process..." Derek glances to Stiles and Wren, with a surreptitious look. They look down to see blood spreading across the floor, hands at his sides, Derek's claws dig into his own thighs. "Oh, what are you doing? Aw, gross." Stiles groaned.

"Wanna use my knife?" Wren asked as she flipped her knife.

🦎

"So, is that hypothetical situation we talked about getting any less hypothetical?" Stiles asked after a few minutes, "I think so... I can move my toes." Derek said making Stiles groan, "Dude, I can move my toes."

All of the sudden the lights click out bringing the already dark station to almost pitch black. Wren slowly got to her knees, watching the door incase something happens, her attention is directed to the windows as head lights shine through.

Then the sound of glass shatter runs through the station. Wre quickly gets, flipping her knife around before running over to Derek. "Ready?" She asked and he nodded, preparing himself. She quickly raised her knife up before forcefully jabbing it into his leg making him groan as Stiles cringes and looks away.

She pulls the knife out before squeezing the wound making more blood come out until Derek was able to flex his hands. A few second later Scott runs into the office as Derek sits up. "Take him. Go!" Derek yells as he pushed Stiles towards Scott. Wren quickly ran over and wrapped Stiles's other hand around her shoulders before they started pulling him to a different room.

Jackson rises back up, fangs bared, eyes burning bright and worst of all, claws dripping with venom. He comes slashing forward as Scott and Wren drags Stiles back into the next office where Scott slams the door shut, locking it, only to see Jackson smash through a moment later as Scott drags Stiles into the next room, another door whipping shut and locking.

Scott, Wren and a barely mobile Stiles tumble into the interrogation room, Scott quickly closing the steel door just as Jackson slams into it. Scott flips the dead bolt and nothing. The three of them gasping, they listen but all they hear are panicked shouts from Melissa and Stilinski in the cell block just nearby.

Wren and Scott move Stiles onto one of the chairs, "Don't move." Scott said making Stiles give him a look, "You know what I mean." Scott said before running off.

"My dad. I need to go-" Stiles said trying to get off the chair but Wren stopped him, "You need to stay here. Theres a giant paralytic murderous lizard running around, a psychopath with a gun and I giant group of Argents out for vengeance for Victoria. You're safer here." Wren said and Stiles looked at with an almost begging expression making her sigh.

"I'll go check on your dad. You stay here." She said, "But what about you?" He asked and she sighed. "I'll be okay... I hope." She said before smiling at him and running out.

Wren ran into the cell block area making Stilinski and Melissa look at her. "Wren! Help me get these off." Stilinski said and Wren ran over to him before flipping her knife open, slamming it down on the chain of the hand cuffs making them break. Melissa and Stilinski laughed on relief until all of the sudden Matt slammed the end of his gun onto Stilinski's head, knocking him out.

Wren flinched slightly as she backed against the bars while Matt walked forward. "Matt, please, listen to me. My son has been shot, and I've heard other gunfire, and I don't know what's happening... But can you please just let me see my son?" Melissa begged and Matt scoffed, "How totally clueless are you people?" He asked.

Wren sucked in a deep breath before throwing her arm out, aiming to punch him but he grabbed her arm, slamming her into the wall. "You should've given me a chance... 'Cause, remember how I said I'm not the kind of guy who would say something like, "Well, if I can't have her, no one can?" It's not totally true, because, Wren... If I can't have you... No one can!" He said as he pressed the gun to her forehead.

She squeezed her eyes shut until there was a low growl making Matt spin around to find Derek standing in the doorway, fully transformed. There was a low hiss making them all look over to see the Kanima standing in another doorway. Wren turned to look at Melissa, who looked at them in both shock and fear.

Shrieking in defiance, the Kanima charges. Derek moves fast, clawed hands reaching up to grab the creature and slams it down to the floor. Matt ran off making Wren ran over to stand in front of the cell as the Kanima got back up.

The Kanima grabs Derek and sends him crash back. It spins, baring its fangs at Wren as it leaps right in front of her. Melissa screams in terror as the creature leans in, ready to attack until suddenly It shrieks in pain as it suddenly yanked away and brutally slams down into the floor underneath Scott.

Fully transformed, he gazes up to his mother as she sees his face. The eyes, the creased brow, the fangs. His secret, his true nature and the look on Melissa's own face is pure horror. A snarl comes from beneath Scott, the Kanima scrambling up. It moves defensively as Derek flips back onto his own feet. The three of them locked in an acrobatic fight until the Kanima slips free, charging into the darkness to escape.

Scott gives a last look at his mother who backs into the shadows of the cell before looking at Wren with a sunken face. Wren sighs sadly before giving him a slight nod, finally, he turns to pursue Derek and the Kanima.

"Melissa?" Wren asked calmly as Melissa brought her hand up her to mouth letting out a sob. Wren wasted no time, finding a way to open the cell before running over to Melissa right as she collapsed to the ground.

She comfortingly wrapped her arms around Melissa who held onto Wren's arms as she let out a few sobs.

Author's Note:
Two things, one the Stiles x Coach's daughter book I have planned is now Lydia/Stiles x Coach's daughter.

Also, the Kira/Malia book, I said the OC was Parrish's sister but should I keep that or make the OC Braeden's sister?

If I make her be Parrish's sister than the book would start in season 3B.

If I make her be Braeden's sister than the book can start in season 3
