🦎 Restraint 🦎

"If Jackson doesn't know what he's doing, then he probably doesn't know someone's controlling him." Wren said as she slightly paced around her room on the phone with Scott and Stiles. "Or he doesn't remember..." Scott said, "What if it's the same kind of thing that happened with Lydia when she took off from the hospital?" Stiles asked and Wren raised her eyebrows slightly.

"A fugue state?" She asked, "He'd have to forget everything. The murder..." Scott said and Wren nodded slightly. "Getting rid of the blood..." She trailed off, "Yeah, he had help with one thing, though- the video. And someone else helped him forget that." Stiles said."Whoever's controlling him." Scott said and Wren sighed, "He thinks he's still becoming a Werewolf and that being with Lydia somehow delayed the whole thing. Do we even try and convince him he's not?" Wren asked.

"If it helps us find out who's controlling him, then yeah..." Scott said and Wren raised her eyebrows, "Whose to say that he'll even talk to us after what we did?" She asked. "It's us! He'll talk to us, right?" Scott asked and Wren scoffed, "Good luck with that." She said before hanging up.

She set her phone down and turn around only to jump when she saw Isaac standing behind her. She looked over at her opened window and sighed, "I thought I shut that..." She mumbled and Isaac shrugged, "You did. You just didn't lock it." He said and she looked at him. "Get out." Wren said and he raised his eyebrows, "So it's Jackson." He said making her eyes widen slightly.

"What?" She asked and he smirked slightly, "I heard your conversation." He said and she sucked in a deep breath. "You can't tell Derek." She said, "Why not?" He asked and she gave him a look. "You've been with him long enough. He's impulsive. He finds out about Jackson the first things he's going to do is kill him." She said and Isaac shrugged, "Is that really that bad? Jackson is a dick." He said.

"Your dad used to beat the shit out of you. Would you still wish death on him?" She said making Isaac pause slightly before clearing his throat. "Didn't think you would go that low." He said and she shrugged, "Didn't think you'd go as low as trying to kill my sister." She said and he sighed.

"That wasn't my idea. Derek-" He started to say but she cut him off, "Derek is your Alpha, I get that. But you're not his slave. You can say no, especially when it comes to murdering someone." She said and he shook his head. "It's not that easy." He said and she nodded, "It is that easy. He's your alpha but he doesn't control everything that you do." She said before furrowing her brows.

"Why the hell are you even here?" She asked and he shrugged, "Maybe I wanted to see you." He said making her roll her eyes. "Seriously? After what you did you want to pull that one on me? Get out." She said, pushing him towards her window. "You act like I'm a horrible person." He said, chuckling when she groaned dramatically, "You're not a horrible person, you a dumbass. Now go." She said and he raised his hands in defense before climbing out her window.

She went to shut the window but he stopped her making her give him a ticked off look. "What would it take for you to tolerate me?" He asked and she raised her eyebrows, "Not do everything that Derek says." She said. He went to say something but she shut the window and locking it, she gave him a smug look before closing her curtains.

Morning light pours in through the library windows over Allison and Wren as they step inside. Allison throws a glance at one of the wall cameras and then walks into the book stacks out of its view. Unzipping her bag, Wren removes a tablet and as casually as possible, she placed the tablet between the books on a shelf.

On the other side of the stack Scott takes the tablet. With Stiles peering over his shoulder, he taps the screen to look over a page of the Bestiary and the translation next to it. On her side of the shelf, Allison opens a book, trying to look inconspicuous as she whispers to them, while Wren genuinely grabs a book that caught her eye.

"It's everything Lydia can translate... And trust me, she was very confused." Wren making Scott look at her, "Yeah, what did you tell her?" She and and Wren chuckled. "That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." She said making Stiles look up.

"I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures..." Stiles said earnestly and Wren nodded "I know, that's why I said it." She said. "Okay, does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" Scott asked and Wren shook her head. "Not really, but Stiles was right about the murderers." She said making Stiles pump his fist in victory, "Yes!"

"It calls the Kanima a "weapon of vengeance." There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderers in his village-" Allison said from memory, Wren had sent her a copy of it all. "All right, see? So, maybe it's not all that bad." Stiles said optimistically before Wren sighed, "Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever he wanted it to." She said.

"All bad. All very, very bad."

"Until it resolves that in its past which manifested it." Scott read out loud, "Okay, if that means that Jackson could use a few thousand hours of therapy, I could've told you that myself." Stiles said and Wren chuckled while looking down at the book she found. "Everyone in this town could use a few thousand hours of therapy." She mumbled as she flipped through the pages.

"What if... it has something to do with his parents? His real parents?" Allison suggested and Scott shrugged, "Yeah, does anybody actually know what happened to them?" He asked. "Lydia might." Stiles said making Scott look at him.

"What if she doesn't know anything?" Scott said and Wren looked up, "She does. But its getting her to tell anyone that's the real hard part." Wren said making them sigh. "Well, he doesn't have a restraining order against me, so I'll talk to him myself." Allison said and Scott nodded.

"Okay, what do I do?" Scott asked making Wren look at him with raised eyebrows, "You have a make-up exam, remember? Your mom is already mad at you as is, skipping that will end up with you drained of blood." Wren said making Scott sighed before looking at Allison.

"Promise me- if he does anything, you run the other way."

"I can take care of myself."

"Allison, if you get hurt while I'm busy with some stupid test, someone's going to need to take care of me. If he does anything-" Scott said and Allison raised her eyebrows, "Like?" She asked. "Anything weird, or bizarre- anything."

"Anything evil." Stiles said sticking his head through the shelves, almost hitting his forehead in the process. Wren raised her eyebrows before she pushed Stiles's head back through the shelves making a few books fall in the process. Which made him quickly scrambled to catch them.

🦎

"Okay, so you go in and talk to him and I'll wait outside listening incase he tries anything." Wren said making Allison laugh as she took her shoes off to make her footsteps more quiet. "You want me to hold your heel while you go in?" Wren asked gesturing to the heels and Allison nodded, "Please." Allison said and Wren took them.

They went to turn the corner but ended up running into Matt making all three of the. jump slightly. "You guys scared the crap out of me." Matt chuckled and Wren gave Allison a look making her slowly back away while Matt was busy looking at Wren.

"Sorry for scaring you." Wren said and Matt shook his head, "It's perfectly fine. Nice heels." He said nodding to Allison's heels, "They're not mine. I'm holding them for a friend, they were hurting her feet." She said and he nodded, "Same reason I never wear mine." He said attempting to make a joke but instead just made Wren raise her eyebrows, "Huh?"

"Forget it. Um... Hey, did you hear about the underground show? I guess they've got some big name spinning." He asked, "You mean a rave?" She asked before looking around slightly uncomfortable, "Is it still a rave if you don't roll? I just call it a party." He said, not noticing how she was barely paying attention as she just wanted go ot the locker room.

"I've got a hook-up for tickets if you're down. Should I grab you one?" He asked, "Uh- Yeah. Yeah, great." She said mainly just wanting him to go away. "Yeah? All right, cool. Um, it's Friday, so... Looking forward to it." He said and she nodded and smiled awkwardly before something caught her eye.

He followed her line of sight to see a puddle of water leaking out of the boy's locker room. All of the sudden, Scott and Jackson come barreling out of the locker room on top of each other, Allison following behind them.

Wren wasted no time rushing forward as a crowd started to form, Stiles and Erica running over as well. Erica went to grab on to Jackson and hold him back while Wren and Stiles grabbed onto Scott. They both tried to lunge at each other again making Wren step in between them holding a finger out to each of them. "Grow up!" She yelled making them stop but still glare at each other.

"What the hell's going on?" Mr. Harris says and he walked over to the group, looking around and everyone. "I think you dropped this." Matt says as he holds out Wren's tablet which she had appeared dropped and Harris instantly took. He used it to point at Scott and Jackson, "You and you." He said and then a slight smirk appeared on his face, "Actually." He said looking at all if them including Matt, "All of you. Detention. Three o'clock."

🦎

Allison, Wren, Erica, Scott, Stiles, Jackson and a bewildered Matt all walk into the library along with Harris. "We can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools." Jackson said. "All of these tools?" Harris asked and Stiles points to himself and Scott. "Us tools." He said and Harris nodded, "Fine, you two, over there." He said and Wren followed Scott and Stiles over to the table.

"Hey, what if it's Matt? I mean, this whole thing comes back to the video, right?" Stiles suggested after a couple minute. "Danny said that Matt was the one who found the two hours of footage missing." Scott said and Stiles nodded, "Exactly! He's trying to throw suspicion off himself." Stiles said and realization crossed over Wren's features.

"Ah, shit." She said making them look at her, "What?" Stiles asked and she sighed. "I'm pretty sure I agreed to a date with Matt this Friday." She said making his eyes widened, "You did what?" He asked and she shook her head slightly. "I wasn't completely paying attention. I did the think where I just agree and hope it was something good." She said and he glared over at Matt.

"So, he makes Jackson kill Isaac's dad, one of Argent's Hunters, and the mechanic working on your Jeep?" Scott asked and Stiles nodded like it was obvious, "Yes!" He said and Scott furrowed his brows. "Why?" He asked, "Because he's evil." Stiles said and Wren raised her eyebrows in amusement.

"You just don't like him."

"The guy bugs me. I don't know what it is. Just look at his face!" They both look over to see Matt eating from a bag of potato chips. He offers a chip to Jackson beside him but Jackson just glares making Matt shrugs and keep eating. "Any other theories?" Scott asked.

Back at his table, Jackson puts a hand to his head, gritting his teeth in pain. He raises his free hand toward Harris, "I need to use the bathroom."

"You all right?" Harris asks as Jackson wipes at the sweat on his forehead before gets up, "You don't look so good." Harris says. "I just need some water." Concerned, Harris goes to follow him but turned to the others, "No one leaves their seat."

But the moment the door closes behind them, Scott and Stiles jump up and race to Erica's table. Wren sighs before getting up and sitting down next to Erica. "Stiles says you know how Jackson's parents died." Scott said, "Maybe." Erica said shrugging.

"Talk."

"It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator. Every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche he makes some comment about the huge settlement he's getting when he's eighteen." She explains but Stiles stops her, "Hold on. Are you saying Jackson's not only rich, but he's going to get even richer at eighteen."

"Yep."

"There's something so deeply wrong
with that." Stiles says and Wren nods in agreement, "Eat the rich." She mumbled. At her table, Allison watches them whispering to each other, then glances to Matt who also eyes them with interest.

"I could try to find the insurance report in my dad's dropbox. He keeps everything." Erica said as she flips open her laptop and Stiles narrows his eyes at her. "Why are you being so helpful?" He questioned and she just shrugged, not looking up from the laptop. "Maybe I never got over that crush." She answered making Wren furrow her brows. Erica begins typing, fingers flying over the keys as the PA system crackles to life above.

"Scott McCall. Please report to the Principal's Office."

🦎

With Harris following, an ashen-faced Jackson drifts back into the library. Allison notices his disturbed gaze. From behind her laptop, Erica, Wren and Stiles also notice. But a chime sounds, turning them back to the computer where they read the details of the insurance investigation into the deaths Jackson's parents.

"Hold on, look at the dates. His parents-" Wren said as she pointed at the screen and Erica starts reading. "Arrived to the hospital D.O.A. Both of them. Estimated time of death 9:26 pm, June 14th 1995." She said making Wren and Stiles glance at each other, "Jackson's birthday is June 15th." Wren said.

Before Erica or Stiles can react, the sound of Harris zipping up his bag grabs their attention. Everyone begins packing their things to leave but Harris speaks up, "Oh no, I'm sorry. Yes, I'm leaving, but none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving."

Harris points to the carts overflowing with returned books, "Enjoy the rest of your evening." He smirks before walking out.

A couple minutes later Wren's putting books up when Erica comes to stand next to her doing the same. "So, which boy is it?" Erica asked making Wren glance at her confused, "What are you talking about?" She asked. "You have Isaac, Stiles and Matt all pining over you. Which one are you choosing?" She asked and Wren furrowed her brows and shook her head slightly.

"Stiles and I are friends, theres no him pining over me. I barely know anything about Isaac and the two of you tried to kill my sister. And I wasn't really paying attention when I agreed to a date with Matt." Wren said and Erica chuckled and shook her head.

"You are the smartest, most obvious person I've ever met." Erica said and Wren rolled her eyes, "And you are the most annoyingly cocky person I've ever met." She said and Erica raised her eyebrows. "Out of everyone you know? Am I really?" She asked and Wren sighed, "No." She said and Erica chuckled before looking her up and down.

"You know, we would be one hot pair of friends." She said making Wren glance at her and hum slightly while nodding. Suddenly a burst of glass and sparks, a light above goes out. "Erica!" Scott yelled. She turns around, mouth snapping open to reveal fangs as Scott whirls around, eyes glows, teeth fanged and claws out.

Something moves above the stacks, leaping and bounding across them, lights bursting and shattering as Wren ran over to Stiles and Allison pushing them back as sparks fall.

The dark figure racing between the rows is fast and Erica tumbles to the floor, a hand to the back of her neck. Scott whirls around to find Jackson standing in front of him. Arms covered in scales, mouth filled with a double-row of teeth, he's half-in and half-out of the transformation. Scott launches up to attack but Jackson is far more powerful. He tosses Scott into a book cart with ease.

The library goes quiet. Breathless, Wren, Stiles and Allison glance around. Back to normal, Scott peers up from the pile of books.

All of them spot Jackson standing at an easel chalk board. His head lolls to the side, eyes a held a very distance look as his arm slowly lifts up. He looks like a marionette being controlled by unseen strings. Chalk in his clawed hand, Jackson begins writing on the board. Head never turning to see what he's doing, it looks like someone is using his body, controlling it to send a hastily scrawled threat:

"Stay out of my way. Or I'll kill all of you."

The chalk falls to the floor. Head swiveling to look at them with a glowing-eyed stare, Jackson darts forward. Hands hitting the carpet as he drops to all fours, he leaps up and smashes through the window of the library.

Wren glanced around and spots a paralyzed Erica. Except she's beginning to shake, tremors rippling through her body. Wren quickly ran over to her, putting her on her side. "Hey! She's having a seizure." She called out while Allison ran over to Matt, "He's alive."

Scott turns to Erica, her seizure seeming far worse than the one they witnessed in gym class. "We need to get her to a hospital." Wren said but Erica's hand latches around Wren's wrist. "Derek- only to Derek." Allison turns at the words, almost jolted by them. "When we get to the hospital-"

"To Derek."

Allison gauges Scott's reaction, the look of conflict on him, "Go." She said. The two of them talk while Stiles and Wren both pick Erica up.

"Scott, go."

🦎

Wren, Scott and Stiles arrive at the railway depot with Erica, Scott now the one carrying her. But now she now barely moves. Just tight, strained breaths coming from between her pale lips. "Derek!" Wren yelled, running down the stairs, the boys following her.

Derek runs out of the rusted subway at the sound of panic in Wren's voice before seeing Erica, "Follow me." He said. Inside the train, Derek directs a light over Erica's arm while Wren gently leans Erica against her. "Is she dying?" Stiles panicked, "She might. Which is why this is going to hurt." Derek said while grabbing Erica's arm in his hands. He presses down on it, breaking it making the three if them cringe as Erica screams in agony, "You broke her arm?!?" Wren asked

"It'll trigger the healing process. I also have to
