🦎 Abomination 🦎

Stiles's Jeep sits atop a rotary lift underneath which a mechanic uses an impact gun to break free a particularly tight bolt on the exhaust. Pushing through the door of the waiting room, Stiles waves his hands, trying to get the Mechanic's attention. "Hey! Hey Wh-what do you think you're doing? All I needed was a starter!" Stiles yelled as he walked over to the mechanic, Tucker, working on his jeep.

"Yeah, but it looks like your whole exhaust system has gotta be replaced here." Tucker said making Stiles sigh, "Why do I get the feeling you're slightly overestimating the damage?"

"It's probably gonna run you around like twelve-hundred in parts and labor." Tucker said making Stiles scoff, "Are you kidding? This thing doesn't have a catalytic converter! And yes, I know what a catalytic converter is." Stiles said. "Do you know what a "limited slip differential" is?" Tucker said condescendingly making Stiles awkwardly purse his lips, "No.."

"Yeah, it's coming on more like fifteen-hundred." Tucker scoffed making Stiles sigh in annoyance, "Just finish. I'll be back here. Seething with impotent rage." Stiles says and walks away. He goes to grab the waiting room door handle, but his hand slips on a clear, sap-like substance. "Nice. Sanitary. Quality establishment you're running here." Stiles called back but Tucker was obviously not listening.

"What happened?" Wren, who had been sitting in the waiting room, asked as she noticed Stiles annoyed expression. "The guy is a giant dick wad who insists on doing more than I asked for and there was something on the door handle." Stiles said and wiped his hand on his jeans as Wren cringed.

"I don't think I want to what possibly could have been on the door handle." She said and he nodded, "You and me both." He said. "I was looking around this place after you left. Apparently dick was out there went to our school and played on the lacrosse team." Wren said, pointing at one of the pictures on the wall.

Stiles looked over at the picture before and scoffed, "Figures." He said making Wren chuckle. He reached into his pocket for his phone and starts to hit the home button but oddly, he can't seem to curl his thumb. "What the..."

He takes the phone with his left hand while trying to flex the fingers of his right. But when both hands lose strength, the phone slips from his grasp and clatters to the floor. Hearing the thud, Wren turned back to him to see him looking down at his hands confused, "What's wrong?" She asked.

"I-I can't move my hands." He said and she grabbed his hands to try to see what was wrong. Stiles he glances to the door handle where he touched the strange substance and then through the glass window he sees the Mechanic digging through a tool chest while above him, something moves inside the Jeep.

Perched within, a shadowy figure A reaches its muscular arm through the open window. "Hey- Hey!" Stiles yells making Wren follow his train of sight.

Tucker looks up as the creature darts out of the Jeep's window. Tail whipping about, a clawed hand slashes at the back of the Mechanic's neck. Knocked off his feet, he falls to the floor of the pit below the Jeep.

Almost simultaneously, a frightened Stiles falls to his knees in the waiting room as the paralysis takes hold. He collapses, face hitting the floor, "Stiles!" Wren said and she got down next to him. Wren looked up through the window to see the same paralysis overtakes the terrified Mechanic making her quickly grab Stiles's phone and start to call Stilinski.

Unable to move, Tucker watches the creature slip underneath the Jeep. Using a single claw, it severs a cord attached to the lift. Black hydraulic fluid showers down and the Jeep begins to lower toward the Mechanic's frozen body.

"Wren..." Stiles struggled to say making her look at him she followed his train of sight to see the jeep getting closer to Tucker. "Oh no." She mumbled and got up and ran over to the door but froze when a figure suddenly appeared outside the door.

Reptilian eyes staring back at her, as Stiles sucks in a frightened breath. Wren stood still not taking her eyes off the lizard like creature as they could hear Tucker's screams will the garage. The creature suddenly took off as Stilinski's voice came through Stiles's phone.

"Stiles?" Stilinski asked and Wren brought the phone up to her ear as she looked over at where Tucker laid, "It's me. Something happened at the mechanics."

Under the flare of red and blue lights from Deputy Sheriff cars, Wren and Stiles sits in the back of an ambulance. He flexes his now mobile hand while talking to his father, Sheriff Stilinski. "I told you, I just- we walked in, and I saw the Jeep on top of the guy. That's all." Stiles said and Wren nodded in agreement.

"What's wrong with your hand?" Stilinski asked making Stiles glance down at his hand before shaking his head. "Nothing. Can we get out of here now?" Stiles asked and his father looked at him concerned, "If there's something you don't feel like you can tell me." He said and Stiles raised his eyebrows slightly.

"You think I'm lying?"

"No, of course not. I'm just worried about you both. Now, if you saw someone do this, if you're afraid that maybe they're gonna come back and make sure you don't say anything about it." Stilinski said and Stiles shook his head after a few seconds, "We didn't see anything- at all. Can we go now, please?" Stiles asked and Stilinski nodded.

"Yeah. But not in your Jeep. We're
going to have to impound it." Stilinski said making Stiles start to protest, "Sorry, kiddo. Evidence." Stilinski says then turns, heading back to the crime scene. "Well, make sure they wash it!" Stiles called out making Wren chuckle before Stiles sighed and looked at Wren. "Want me to call Scott?" She asked and Stiles nodded slightly, "Yeah that'll probably be best."

A few minutes later, Melissa's car pulls up with Scott behind the wheel. Stiles gets into the passenger side, slamming it closed while Wren climbed into the back. Scott watches his friends, concerned, "You okay?" He asked and they nod.

"You were right. It's not like you. It's eyes were almost... reptilian. But there was something about them." Stiles said making Scott look at him confused, "What do you mean?" He asked. "You know when you see, like, a friend in a Halloween mask, but all you can see are their eyes? And you feel like you know 'em, but you just can't figure out who it is?"

"Are you saying you know who it is?"

"No, but I think it knew us."

"Wake up!" Wren said as she walked into her sister's room, "Go away..." Lydia muttered, slightly muffled by the blanket she was under. "If you don't get up then you're going to be late for your appointment with the school counselor. Remember? You and mom made a deal." Wren said and Lydia groaned slightly, "I said I was fine." She said and Wren nodded and shrugged.

"Yeah? I'm sure you think that. I love you and all that but there's a lot of things wrong with you, even before the attack." Wren said making Lydia scoff, "Bitch." She said and Wren laughed. "Come on, get up." Wren said as she grabbed Lydia's blanket and pulled it off her before her eyes widened.

"Holy shit, Lydia!" Wren said as they both looked down at Lydia bloody sheets, "What did you do?" Wren asked as she grabbed Lydia's hand while. Her knuckles were bloody and busted making Wren look up to see Lydia looking at something. Wren followed her line of sight to see Lydia's shattered mirror with a blood spot in the middle.

"Did you punch your mirror in your sleep?" Wren asked and Lydia shook her head slightly, "I don't know why..."

Wren sat next to Lydia as they waited outside the counselor's office, waiting for Lydia's session to start. Their mother wanted Wren to make sure Lydia actually went, especially after this morning.

"Nice gloves." A junior, who sat on the other side of Lydia, said making both girls look over at him, "Thank you." Lydia smiled while Wren didn't look up from her journal. "So, what's your guy's brand of psychosis?" He asked and Lydia scoffed, "Really?"

"We're here for something. We don't have to be ashamed of it." He said and Wren hummed slightly, "Debatable." She said, never looking up. "I have an acute phobia of people prying into my personal life. You?" Lydia asked and he smirked, "Compulsively drawn to cute but narcissistic girls." He said and Lydia stares at him in disbelief while Wren rolled her eyes.

"That was so lame."

Before she can fashion a comeback, the door opens, revealing Ms. Morrell. "Are you ready, Lydia?" She asked. Lydia hummed then looked at Wren, "See you later Birdie." She said then got up and walked into the office.

Wren didn't get up right away as she finished the paragraph she was writing making the guy look at her. "Mind if I ask what you're writing?" He asked and Wren closed her journal and looked over at him, "Yeah, I mind. Who are you." She asked and he raised his eyebrows in amusement. "Who are you?" He asked and she rolled her eyes, "Leaving." She said before grabbing her bag and standing up.

She was about to walk away but she stopped and looked at the guy, "Do me a favor and don't talk to my sister. Last thing she needs is another guy toying with her." She said before walking away.

🦎

Wren walked over to where Allison was sitting and sat down next to her, "Hey, can you help me with this." Allison said showing Wren her homework. Wren helped her for a few minutes until Stiles suddenly comes running over to them and started rambling about a book of supernatural creatures. "You mean a Bestiary." Wren said cutting him off making him look st her in awe.

"Yes! Thank you!" He said and Allison chuckled, "I think you mean-" She said started to say but Stiles cut her off. "No, I mean Bestiary. And the two of you- I don't want to know what's going on in your heads." Stiles said and Wren chuckled. "It's a book filled to the brim with facts about different supernatural creatures." Wren explained and Allison nodded, deep in thought. "Can you describe this thing?"

"It's probably a book. Old, worn-"

"Like bound in leather?" Allison asked and a few seconds later Stiles had ran off again making Wren look at Allison confused. "Is Stiles playing owl?" She asked and Allison nodded, "Scott and I can't text or call without my parents finding out, and with Gerard being the principal we cant really talk in person, so this is the best we can to." Allison explained and Wren nodded slowly.

"Have you ever tried just deleting messages and phone calls before they look?" Wren asked and Allison sighed, "They got Gerard to be principle. I wouldnt be surprised if they can uncover deleted messages." Allison said and Wren nodded slightly.

They went back to working on Allison's homework when Stiles ran up to them completely out of breath, "Where... does he... keep it?" He asked. "Uh... probably his office." Allison said and he nodded, "Hey Stiles, buddy, maybe you should sit down for a moment-" Wren started to say but Stiles ran off again.

The two girls watch him run away until Wren looked over at Allison, "Do you just wanna use my phone to text Scott?" Wren asked making Allison look at her. "Why didn't we think about that?" She asked and Wren shrugged slightly before handing Allison her phone.

A few minutes later Stiles comes running over and takes a puff of what Scott's old inhaler, "You know, drug dealers have been using disposable cell phones pretty successfully for years." He said and Wren chuckled, "You can stop now. I have her my phone to text Scott." Wren said making Stiles look at her annoyed.

"You couldn't have thought about that earlier?" He said and she just chuckled and shrugged, "Can you get the book?" Stiles asked and Allison shrugged slightly. "Not without his keys." She said and he nodded before sitting down next to wren, "Great okay... I'm gonna pass out now."

Against the brilliant glow of the lights, the body of a Beacon Hills mid-fielder
soars gracefully up and then crashes
brutally down. "Oh.. That's gotta hurt." Wren said as her and Stiles cringe from the benches. Behind them, the parents of Beacon Hills look on with abject terror. The reason why- a huge player on the opposing team. He's a dense combination of fat and muscle, towering over all the other boys.

"Come on! Is that thing even a teenager? I want to see a birth certificate!" Coach tells but the ref blows the whistle, ignoring him. Fuming, Coach sits on the bench next to Stiles. "Who or what is that genetic
experiment gone wrong?" Coach asked.

"Eddie Obomowitz. They call him The
Abomination." Stiles answered and Wren chuckled and shook her head, "He's definitely the result of a failed science experiment." She said.

Melissa cringed as another limping player was helped off the field until someone came to stand next to her, "He belong to you?" They asked making her look over to a student wearing lacrosse uniform and holding a camera. "No, mine is still on the field... while I'm here, wishing that he would've stuck with tennis." She said then looked at his camera.

"You the yearbook photographer?" Melissa asked and he chuckled and shook his head. "No. I, uh, I just take pictures." He said as he snapped a picture, "Just lacrosse or other things?" Melissa asked. "Anything that catches my eye." He said as he gazed down at the picture he just took.

Melissa glanced at the camera and furrowed her brows slightly when she saw the picture. The picture was of Wren, perfectly lit under the field lights, looking utterly beautiful, while she laughed at something Stiles had said. But before Melissa could comment on it, he walked away.

Wren looked back at Allison to see the girl looking at her with a nod, "Let's go." Wren said and Stiles nodded and got up, walking over to where Allison sat. Allison gives a nod to her grandfather while her hand eases down and drops the keys to Stiles, right underneath the bleachers.

Hearing the cheers as they rushes through the parking lot, Wren glances back but then freezes stops when she sees Lydia sitting in her parked car. Tissues at her eyes, she's crying. Wren face falls seeing her sister look so broken and Stiles notices this and gives her a slight nudge. "Go, I got this." He said making her look at him, "You sure?" She asked and he nodded.

Wren nodded and then ran over to Lydia's car and lightly knocked on the passenger side window, "Go away!" Lydia said not looking over to see who it was. "Lydia, come on. Open the door, please." Wren said making Lydia look over at her before unlocking the door.

Wren instantly opened the door and climbed in looking at her sister in concern, "Talk to me Lyds." She said softly. "You'll think I'm crazy." Lydia whispered making Wren shrug slightly, "Lyds, I've been thinking that since we were five and you gave me a hair cut with kids scissors." Wren said making Lydia laugh softly.

"What's going in, Lydia?" Wren asked and Lydia sighed softly, "It's just- everything. It's the looks people give me in the halls. It's the PTSD, it's the man that attacked me hasn't been caught. It's Jackson. It's me punching my mirror in the middle of the night." Lydia ranted and then hesitated for an moment before finishing. "I feel like I'm going insane because I keep seeing the same man everywhere and no one else sees him." She said and Wren sighed before grabbing her sister's hand.

"Lyds, you're from insane. You're the strongest person I know. I mean, after everything you're still going to school and socializing, doing your homework. I'm not traumatized and I can barely handle talking to my chemistry partner." Wren said making Lydia smiled. "Thanks sis." Lydia said and Wren smiled and squeeze her hand.

They talked for few minutes before Lydia decided that she wanted to go home and get some sleep. Wren walked over to the principal's office to see the door wide open and the room empty. "Stiles?" She called out but go reply until she heard something coming from the pool area. Walking down the hall she pushed open the doors to see Stiles holding Derek up in the middle of the pool and Erica off to the side passed out. "Uh- what the hell?" Wren said making them look at her.

"Wren! Wren, get in the pool!' Stiles yelled making her furrow her brows in confusion, "Why?" Wren asked. "Because it's here!" He said and before she could say anything she heard a hiss behind her. She turned around to see the glorified lizard from the mechanic's making her sigh.

"Okay..." Wren sighed as she took her shoes and jacket off before she took a step towards the pool but the thing hissed and darted in front of her making her stop. The thing let out a low hiss before circling her making her sigh softly. She at the creature as she slowly picking up her shoe, "What the hell are you doing?" Derek questioned and she shrugged, "The first thing that came to mind." She said before she forcefully threw the shoe at the creature.

It stunned it for a moment causing her to make a beeline to the pool, but the creature got over the initial stun and chanced after her. Right as she got to the edge of the pool the creature swiped it's hand out, its venom coated claw unnoticeablely grazed the back of her ankle as she fell onto the pool.

Seconds later she resurfaced and took a deep breath before swimming over to Stiles and Derek.

🦎

Energy waning, a breathless Stiles adjusts his grip on Derek, "I don't know how much longer I can do this." Stiles said in a breathless whisper. As the creature continues to circle the pool, Stiles glances to his phone on the wet tile nearby which Derek and Wren noticed. "No, no, no. Don't even think about it." Derek growled making Stiles sigh in frustration.

"Would you just trust me this once?" Stiles asked making Derek look at him like he was stupid, "No!" Derek said making Wren just sigh and roll her eyes at the two if then. "Before Wren came. I was the one keeping you alive, okay? Did you noticed that?" Stiles argued.

"Yeah, and when the paralysis wears off, who is gonna be able to fight that thing- you or me?" Derek argued back making Stiles scoff. While they were busy arguing Wren had managed to slip away from them. "Where did Wren go?" Stiles asked once he noticed Wren wasn't with them anymore. They looked over to see her quietly climbing out if the pool.

She kept her eyes on the creature that wasn't looking at them as she sat on the
