"Call it again." Scott said as he threw stuff all around his room trying to find his phone. Stiles was sitting on Scott's desk chair while Wren was laying sitting upside down on Scott's bed. "It's not here." Wren said and Stiles nodded in agreement, "So you lost your phone. Get a new one." Stiles said.
"I can't afford a new one. And I can't do this alone. We have to find Derek." Scott stressed, still moving stuff around. "Okay, A, you're not alone. You have Wren and I. And B, didn't you tell me Derek walked right into gunfire? He sounds pretty dead." Stiles said. "Argent's plan was use him to get the Alpha. They won't kill him." Scott said, "All right, so then, just let them do what they're planning, you know? They use Derek to find Peter, problem solved." Stiles said and Scott shook his head.
"Not if Peter's going after Allison to find Derek! I can't protect her on my own, which means we either find Derek first- Just- just help me!" Scott stressed and Stiles sighed and started helping him look around. "You know, you probably lost it when you two were fighting. You remember that? When he was trying to kill you? After you interrupted him trying to kill Jackson? Are you starting to see a pattern of violent behavior, here?"
"He wasn't going to kill anyone. And I'm not letting him die." Scott said and Stiles sat back down. "Could you at least think about letting him die? For me?" Stiles said and Wren chuckled and shook her head slightly.

"Nothing's wrong. I have a lot on my mind." Allison said as she, Wren and Lydia stepped onto the escalator. "You could smile at least. Ever hear the saying: Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile. Smile, Allison. We're buying you a dress." Lydia said making Wren and Allison chuckle.
"So, you're going with Stiles?" Allison asked, looking over at Wren who nodded as they walked over to a rack of dresses while Lydia went over to another one. "Before you get any ideas, we're going as friends." Wren said and Allison hummed slightly making Wren give her a look. "We don't like each other like that." Wren said and Allison nodded, "For now." She said making Wren roll her eyes.
They were quite for a moment before Allison sighed and looked over at Wren. "Hey Wren? There's something I wanted to talk to you about. And you'll probably think I'm crazy but I need to talk about it with someone." Allison said after a few seconds of silence. "What is it?" Wren asked, looking over at her, "Last night-"
"That's not your color." A familiar voice said making Wren spin around to see Peter looking at the dress in Allison's hands. "Sorry if that was intrusive. But considering your skin tone, I'd go lighter." He said as Wren stepped closer to Allison. "Because I'm pale?" Allison asked, glancing back at Wren, obviously uncomfortable. "Fair. You can't call skin like yours pale. Not skin that perfect." He said and Wren protectively and comfortingly wrapped her arm around Allison's.
"Trust me, I have a unique perspective on the subject." He says as he looks at a dress, "Would you mind?" He reaches for her hand. Before she can even move, he has his fingers around her palm, delicately drawing her hand up to the dress. "See much better." He said. "The two of you aren't here alone, are you?" He asks as he inches closer making Wren pull Allison back slightly. "Friends looking for dresses too?" He asks and Allison nods, "High school dance?"
"Formal. Now can you leave before I yell for security?" Wren asked making him look at her amused as a voice came through the overhead speakers.
"Attention shoppers. To the owner of
a blue Mazda, license plate 5-U-N-I-7-6-8. Your car is being towed."
"Oh my god that's my car." Allison said then ran off while Wren turned to her Peter. "Whatever you have planned, you might want stop now while you're ahead. You're not gonna win." Wren said and Peter chuckled while looking at the dresses. "Is that so?" He asked then took a dress off the rack, holding it in front of her. "No." He mumbled then set it back down making her look at him weird.
"What the hell are you doing?" She questions and he looked at another dress before holding it up to her, "Not the right color." He said. "You know, most people would call you a pedophile right now." She said making him look at her offended, "I'm a killer, Wren. Not a disgusting human being." He said before holding up another dress to her.
"This one." He said and she rolled her eyes before snatching the dress away from him, "You're psychotic." She said and he chuckled before walking away. Seconds later Lydia walked over and looked at the dress that Wren was holding.
"You are so gonna get that. That will look amazing on you."

Wren stood in front of her vanity as she finished curling her hair before Lydia walked out of the bathroom making Wren look at her. "How do I look?" She asked and Wren smiled, "You look beautiful, Lyds." Wren said making Lydia smile at her. "Thank you! Now go put yours on." Lydia said and Wren chuckled before grabbing her dress and walking into the bathroom.
A few minutes later Wren walked out of the bathroom right as their mom walked into the room. "Oh, you girls look gorgeous." Natalie said making her daughters smile at her, "And Wren, happy birthday." Natalie said and Wren smiled. "Thank you." She said as she leaned back slightly when Lydia tried to fix her hair.
"Who are you guys going with?" Natalie asked, "Stiles and I are going as friends." Wren said as Lydia moved away from her. "I'm going with one of the lacrosse players." She said and Wren raised her eyebrows in amusement, "Which one?" She asked. Lydia went to answer her but paused slightly, "Number... 29..." She said and Wren chuckled and nodded slightly.
"We dont have a number 29." Wren said and Lydia groaned and rolled her eyes, "Okay, I don't know how ne or number." She said and Wren laughed and shook her head.

Lydia and Wren pulled up next to Stiles' jeep and Wren smiled at Stiles as he climbed out the jeep. Before any of them could say anything Allison and Jackson started to walk past making Lydia hum. "Jackson... You look handsome." Lydia said and Jackson smiled smugly, "Obviously. It's Hugo Boss." He said before walking past her making her scoff.
"I don't care. I don't want compliments. I will not fall prey to society's desire to turn girls into emotional, insecure neurotics who pull up their dresses at the first flattering remark." Lydia said to herself before turning around and confidently walking to the school. "Okay then." Wren mumbled before turning to Stiles, looking him up and down slightly.
"I think this is the first time I've seen you in a suit since we were like eight." She said and he nodded, "Yep. You look beautiful." He said making her smile. "And you look handsome." She said and he smiled at her before his eyes widened slightly, "Oh!" He said before quickly opening the door to the jeep and grabbing something.
"Happy birthday!" He said before holding out a small box, "I thought we agreed on no gifts." She said as she grabbed the box and he shrugged. "You try to say that every year and every year I don't listen." He said making her chuckle as she opened the box to find a silver necklace of a small bird sitting on a silver circle frame.
"The bird thing is never gonna stop, is it?" She asked and he shook his head, "Nope!" He said before grabbing the necklace. She moved her hair slightly so he can put it on her. "Thank you." She said and he smiled at her before holding his arm out, she smiled and wrapped her arm around his before they walked to the school.
A little while later Wren and Stiles sat at table as Stiles glanced around to see Jackson and Allison dancing and Lydia dancing when her date making him turn to Wren. "Wanna dance?" He asked and she pursed her lips as she glanced around, "Not really..." She said. "Come on, you love dancing." He said making her laugh and look at him with raised eyebrows, "Since when?" She asked.
"Since now." He said as he stood up, "You gotta dance at least once on your birthday." He said and she hummed slightly. "Convince me." She said and he thought for a second, "Dance with me because I'm your best friend who you can't say no to?" He asked and she pursed her lips. "Good but I need a little more." She said and he nodded and thought.
"Dance with me because I'm the one person who knows you the best, probably better then your sister does. I know that you're obsessed with Harry Potter and Star Wars. I know that you love Edgar Allen Poe. I'm probably the only person who knows that you secretly love cheesey romance novels and movies. I know that your biggest dream is to write a book that becomes New York's times best seller." Stiles said making Wren smile softly.
"Nobel." She said making him furrow his brows, "What?" He asked and she stood up. "My biggest dream is to write something that wins the Nobel prize in literature." She said before grabbing his hand and pulling him over to the dance floor. He smiled widely as he pumped his fist which she couldn't see.
All of the sudden Coach's voice rang throughout the gym. "McCall! I see you!
Come here, buddy. Come here! McCall! Get outta my way! McCall! It's a small gym, buddy! I'm gonna find you! I gotcha, McCall! Come here, come here! Get outta my way! McCall!"
Stiles and Wren watched as Scott ran from Coach and ended up pretending like he was dancing with Danny as Coach caught up. "McCall! You're not supposed to-What the hell are you do- What the hell are you doing?" Coach said flabbergasted. Every couple around them pauses to notice Coach charging forward as if to chastise a gay couple for dancing with each
other in public. By now even the band had stopped playing to watch them.
Coach looks from one hostile glare to the next. Scott pulls a bewildered Danny closer to him, "Yes Coach?" Scott asked innocently.
"Okay, ho-ho-ho, ha-ha. Hold on, you- I was just saying he's not supposed to- I mean, I wasn't saying that he shouldn't- You guys don't think- You don't- I-I was- Just dance, everybody! Just dance! Dance! It's a party!" Coach yelled making Stiles and Wren laugh as the band started playing again, this time a slower song.
"Okay, so your hands go here." Wren said as she put Stiles' hands around her waist, "And mine goes here." She said before draping hers around his shoulder making him suck in a deep breath. "You sure this is right?" He asked and she shrugged, "I dont know, I'm going off what I've seen in movies." She said and he furrowed his brows. "All the ones you've made me watch they normal hold hands." He said and she raised her eyebrows, "Do you want to?" She asked and he glanced around. "No. No one else is." He said making her laugh and nod.
They danced for a couple minutes until Wren laughed, "You're so bad at this." She said making him look at her offended. "You're not much better." He said and she scoffed and raised her eyebrows in amusement, "Unlike you, I haven't stepped on your toes." She said and he shrugged dramatically. "I said sorry!" He said making her laugh for a moment before her smile slowly fell.
"What is it?" Stiles asked as she glanced around slightly, "Somethings gonna happen." She mumbled like she wasn't completely there. "Something..." She mumbled quietly as she looked for one person but not seeing them. "Lydia's in trouble." She said then took off in a random direction making him look at her confused before quickly following after her.
Wren ran out to the lacrosse field and saw Lydia standing in the middle of it. Then that's when she saw Peter walking towards her sister making Wren's eyes widen. "Lydia! Lydia run!" Wren yelled, running towards her but before Lydia could run, Peter grabbed her a bit her.
"No!" Wren yelled as she ran faster, the heels on grass not making it any easier, "Wren wait!" Stiles yelled running after her. Wren ran over to Lydia and went to grab her but stopped when Peter growled and Stiles pulled her back. Stiles wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her from getting any closer as she looked at her sister with glossy eyes.
"Please dont kill her." Wren said in a slight whisper and Peter smirked, "Of course not! Just tell me how to find Derek." He said making both Wren and Stiles look at him confused. "What?" Wren asked, "Tell me how to find Derek." He said and Wren looked at him crazy. "How the hell am I supposed to know where he is?" She asked and he chuckled. "You don't, but he does." Peter said looking at Stiles, "I dont know that. How would I know that?" Stiles asked.
"Because you're the clever one, aren't you? And because deception has a particularly acrid scent, Stiles." Peter said. "Tell me the truth... or I will rip her apart." Peter said and Stiles hesitated for a moment out of fear, "TELL ME!" Peter roared making Wren flinch. "Okay, okay, okay, look... I-I think he knew-" Stiles started to explain and Peter cut him off impatiently, "Knew what?" He asked. "Derek, I think he... I think he knew he was gonna be caught." Stiles said and Peter raised his eyebrows, "By the Argents?" He asked and Stiles nodded.
"Yeah."
"And?"
"When they were shot, him and Scott- I think he took Scott's phone." Stiles said and Peter slightly squinted his eyes, "Why?" He asked. "They all have GPS now. So, if he still has it, and if it's still on... you can find him." Stiles explained, still holding onto Wren tightly, who couldn't take her eyes off her bleeding sister.
