THE GALLOPING OF HORSES FILLED HER EARS AS SHE RAN ABOVE THEM. F/n still had the two crystal swords in her hands as she slashed the napes of the Titans flawlessly, spinning around in circles while being in action.

The soldiers weren't looking behind as they obeyed their commander, retreating immediately after retrieving Eren.

But then suddenly, a large object flew above them, almost hitting F/n if not for her moving away. The body of a Titan landed in front of them, blocking their way to get back home.

"That Reiner!" Jean cursed under his breath, "He's throwing Titans like a madman!"

Another Titan was thrown by Reiner, approaching them at full speed. The soldiers could only watch with wide eyes as it targeted their comrades but failed as its body hit a hard crystal dome, slicing its own body from the sharp edges of the crystals.

Jean was heard to let out a sigh of relief and was about to thank the woman when Armin's shout in panic was heard.

"Eren! Mikasa!"

The woman shifted her gaze to where Armin had shouted towards. The owners of the names their friend had shouted were on the ground after stumbling off of the horse.

Soldiers started being eaten by the human-eating giants, screams and loud stomps filled the area as the tall, blonde Titan approached them with a wide, sadistic smile. She swung a hand towards the pair and Mikasa shoved Eren away on instinct.

But the anticipated contact with the Titan's hand never came and the familiar sounds of slashing sounds of crystals forming filled their ears instead of the awaited screams and cries of either one of them.

"F/n!" they shouted when they spotted the girl being held tightly by the Titan.

Mikasa raised her swords, knocking them against the hard crystal as she tried to break them but to no avail. Tears started to subconsciously build in their wide eyes as the two adolescents slammed their swords and body against the hard yet thin layer of rock.

The Titan raised the panicked woman to its mouth but before she could bite her head off, a figure flew in and sliced the Titan's hand off. With F/n now free from the Titan's grasp, the three younger people turned to her saviour.

"Hannes!" Eren shouted that apparently wasn't heard by the man.

"What are the odds of this?" Hannes asked, "Check it out, you two! You just watch it. I'll avenge your mother and butcher the life out of it!"

The man charged towards the Titan, swinging flawlessly with his ODM gear and his two words. F/n just watched him in action shock, breathing unevenly at the near-death experience she had with the Titan.

He spun and spun and spun, slicing the limbs of a Titan as it tried to catch up with his speedy moves.

They watched with wide eyes as the man was raised by the Titan. The giant bit his legs off, his eyes slowly closing with the three as his last sight to see.

"Protect them," Hannes murmured out the words that only F/n was able to hear.

The woman gasped, hand clenching her shirt tightly as the Titan served itself with the soldier's flesh. F/n's hands gripped her h/c locks tightly before an ear-piercing scream was heard from her.

The force through the air could be seen even with regular human eyes, sending all the enemies away from her, despite being kilometres away. The crystal shattered and Eren and Mikasa immediately slammed their hands against their ears.

The soldiers either dug their swords on the ground and hung onto them tightly, grabbed onto the nearest tree or hung onto each other for dear life.

Stares were on her, people with wide eyes and mouths agape.

Eren shut his eyes tightly, covering her ears while Mikasa hung onto him, also with her eyes shut. F/n faced the ground, tears pouring down her eyes as she panted heavily from the surprisingly exhausting action.

He, too, let out a scream of his own, one that controlled a Titan's mind and caused it to charge at the Titan that had been Hanne's murder.

Every other Titan that had heard his scream all ran towards the blonde Titan, furiously ripping its flesh with their bare teeth as if to obey their leader. F/n wheezed, unable to normalise her breathing even with Mikasa trying to calm her down.

Her chest pained as if being stabbed in the heart over and over again. Her head pounded menacingly and her vision started to fade away. Mikasa shouted for her, hands patting onto her shoulders in an alarmed manner.

Eren, despite being taken aback by what had happened, swiftly placed Mikasa on his back and grabbed F/n's hand as he guided them away from the place and towards the rest of the soldiers.

But the Armoured Titan started to approach them with Bertholdt still on his shoulder. Eren saw and faced them with furious eyes.

"Get away from me!" the boy shouted, causing the two other boys to flinch, "You b-! I'll kill you all!"

The eyes of the regular Titans of different shapes and sizes glowed red, shifting their attention entirely from the smiling Titan to the Armoured Titan.

They ran towards them at full speed, mouths opened and arms stretched.

"What? The Titans?" Eren muttered while he, Mikasa and F/n all stared at the scene before them.

"Eren!" Armin shouted with another horse with him, "Get on!"

"Armin!"

"Hurry!"

"Don't let this chance slip!" Erwin shouted, standing up from his previous crouching position, "Full retreat!"

Sasha was quick to approach the group, hoisting F/n up behind her on the horse and the two rode alongside the soldiers until nightfall. The sky grew dark and yet the pain was still evident on her body.

Everything hurt. Every single thing. Both physically and mentally. And not just to the h/c-haired female but to every single person in the group, riding their way back within the walls.

F/n could finally open her eyes and see the cruelty they have to suffer in the scouts. Losing their friends was one thing but seeing them die right in front of you was another, especially when you can't do anything about it.

F/n hated that feeling, the feeling of being unable to do anything right, the feeling of being unable to save the ones who she cared about. She hated it.

The day was eventful.

First, finding out that there was so much more to her ability. Second, killing her first Titans after the multiple arduous training with Levi. And third, taking avenge for her dear friend.

Levi Ackerman, a man who she had been closest to ever since she first stepped into the land inside the walls. A man whose expression was stoic as ever and yet held a kind heart within his soul.

She missed him. Even if it hasn't even been a full day, she missed him. And she was hoping he did too. She wondered how he and Hange were doing inside the walls.

Hange Zoë, an intelligent scientist who was always crazy about Titans. Despite her constant rant on Titan and her experiments on them, F/n treated her as a loving sister as she had been the one taking care of her most.

Along with Levi, she missed her too, as much as she did Levi or perhaps even more. The thought of her worried her as she knew her condition before she went out of the walls for the mission.

F/n drew in a sharp breath that caused her chest to heave up slightly at the unsteadiness of her breathing. Sasha noticed this and gave her her survey corps cape as she thought she had shivered from the cold.

And though it wasn't from the cold, F/n gratefully accepted it, placing it around her shoulders as Levi did with his coat.

The woman felt her eyes droop as minutes flew by. Slowly but surely, she succumbed to nothing but darkness.
