HER EARS WERE RINGING AND THE VOICES FROM HER SURROUNDINGS APPEARED MUFFLED TO HER. The blood β her blood β dripped red drops of thick liquid one after another, reaching the ground with a loud noise that very much successfully reached her ears.
It was just like that for a moment.
The blood freely dripped from the large cut from the knife that went right through her. The pain that ran through her body and her brain registered and sent the urgency to do something about it.
But she did nothing.
She was left winded.
The warm feeling of the blade had her alarmed and the blood that trailed down her skin had her terrified.
In only five minutes, she could die. Just because of a stab in the abdomen. And if she did survive, it would take her a total of ten days to heal.
What was there for her to do.
But then it turned black. For her three whole minutes but in reality, it was just for one whole second, probably not even a second.
It was blurry. So blurry that she could nearly see nothing but shades of black, white and grey. So blurry that she could see the dots that formed into an unclear image of sorts.
Although it wasn't an image β it was... something. It was like a video, a memory. But she had never recalled herself experiencing something like this.
The figure was just the colour black with blurry outlines. No features whatsoever. F/n felt like she couldn't move at all, no matter how much she tried to.
Then the figure raised what looked like an arm with another object that glinted slightly. The object. That was the only thing that was not blurry. It had a sharp end and metallic silver colour.
A knife.
The figure rose the knife higher and higher before abruptly forcing it down in a stabbing way as if to stab her. But then it all went black.
A scream. A high-pitched scream was what she let out when she came back to reality. She dropped down to her knees and grabbed her hair tightly.
The scream. The scream was what made the military policeman and the three adolescents push away. It released a force that was not visible to human eyes to see.
The military policemen hit their backs against the wall, groaning out in pain as they made contact. Eren, Armin and Mikasa tumbled to the ground, either holding tightly on a lamp post or the bench.
Eren gritted his teeth, hands tightly wrapped around the black pole of the lamp. The force was so strong that he even had to use his other hand to hold himself from flying away.
"What's going on?" a Military police shouted, still unable to move away from the wall.
"What do we do?" Armin asked with his eyes clenched shut as fear took over him.
"Mikasa!" Eren shouted and the girl reacted immediately.
Mikasa grabbed the pole tightly before using all her strength to push herself towards the crouching girl. She wrapped her arms around her and feeling the comfort and safety of the girl's embrace, she stopped shouting and instead let the tears fall out of her eyes.
The military policemen's bodies dropped to the ground and they grew unconscious while Eren and Armin recollected themselves before quickly approaching the girl, Eren with a hand touching her back while Armin lightly touched her arm.
Crying was tiring and F/n felt the exhaustion take over her, sending her body limp under the comfort of the three adolescents.

Levi narrowed his eyes at the three, almost accusingly. F/n was lying on the bed, motionlessly as if she was already dead.
Armin had his eyes cast downwards, guilty for the recent events, Eren had his eyes on the woman on the bed, worried about her condition and Mikasa had her eyes narrowed challengingly back at the captain.
Hange was beside F/n's bed, finishing up treating her wounds before placing a hand on the woman's forehead.
"She'll be all right," Hange reassured, facing the three children who glanced right back at her, "It's a miracle how she managed to stay conscious for that long. But then again, when does she not surprise us, eh?"
The woman grew a smile, pushing her glasses further as she thought hard.
"I think it might be because of her abilities. Maybe, despite not being able to turn into a Titan, she might not be able to die unless being cut in her nape or dying of old age, unlike Eren, who can pass as a normal human."
It was quiet for a moment and the three friends shared hesitant and concerned glances. As Hange opened her mouth to talk, Levi interrupted.
"You will not experiment on her, Four Eyes," he glared at her but she didn't even flinch the slightest bit.
"I don't think she would mind," she stated, glancing at the unconscious woman beside her.
"She might not but Erwin would," Levi argued.
"I'll just make another deal with him," she waved him off, causing him to click his tongue in irritation.
F/n stirred in her sleep and the five other people in the room immediately shifted all their attention to her. She blinked awake, eyes adjusting with the brightness of the room.
"You're finally awake," Hange smiled while the younger just stared at her with a blank expression.
"What..." F/n breathed out, scanning the room to only see the four other people, "happened?"
"You passed out," she explained, "But you're okay now, are you?"
F/n nodded, her hair falling in front of her face and yet she acted as if there were none covering her vision. She had recalled the events immediately. The figure, the blood, the taunt. But she did not remember being brought here.
So she concluded that she must have passed out before they brought her here. But how did they do it?
There was a knock on the door and a cadet saluted when it opened.
"Captain Levi! The commander requested your presence!" he informed and the captain clicked his tongue once more before walking out of the room. The cadet saluted once more and left.
"Are you hungry?" Hange asked out of the blue, "I'll get you food in a moment. Get enough rest, yeah?"
The woman nodded and the section commander left the room, leaving the four people there in silence. The silence was kept until Mikasa spoke up.
"Are you okay, F/n?" she asked and the other female nodded.
"Are you?" she asked, knowing how the Military policemen had attacked them earlier.
"We're fine," Eren answered for them, "But you should know that what you did was unbelievable!"
"Eren," Mikasa warned.
"I-It's true!" Armin joined in, eyes lighting up, "You- You were s-so amazing!"
F/n turned to Mikasa as if expecting a compliment from her as well. The younger female shook her head slightly, finding amusement in the older's antics.
"It was incredible," Mikasa smiled lightly, "I'm glad you're okay."
The atmosphere in the room turned light and a conversation grew amongst them. It was as if nothing was to come to them, that they were safe and sound with no danger of being able to reach them.
For a moment it was like that. But nothing, nothing at all, lasts forever.
