''Hey 'Samu?'' Atsumu asked. Osamu turned to his brother as they walked to the gymnasium, ''What is it?''.
A smile couldn't help but form on Atsumu's face. He had just found out something he hadn't even been looking for but for some reason, it almost felt like it was what he wanted to know. ''What's your relationship with you and that girl? You know, the tarot reader.''
His brother looked down at his feet. It was unclear to those he passed as he walked that the question opened many questioned for even Osamu himself. ''She's a good friend of mine, why?'' Atsumu chuckled, ''That good friend doesn't seem so much like a friend. You know she likes you right?''
''So what if she did?'' Osamu mumbled. ''So... you're both bad people,'' Atsumu replied. Unbeknownst to Osamu, Atsumu had already witnessed a bad use of the love alarm, way back when you used it to see if Osamu liked you. Now he had seen it again with his own brother. Atsumu had seen it all at this point and he almost couldn't believe just how much had happened. '' 'Samu. You dropped this.'' Atsumu handed Osamu his phone that he had taken prior to his conversation. Osamu was too distracted to even notice. Atsumu said one last thing to his brother before they entered the gym.
โDon't be distracted during volleyball. I don't like it when players are trash.โ

You were cleaning up when you heard a knock on the door. The person who came in was Atsumu. He came in looking rather accomplished which wasn't a rare look for him nowadays. ''What happened?'' You questioned as he stood there.
Atsumu looked at you for a long time before he responded, ''He already knows.'' Your head snapped to him as you quickly caught on but your mouth seemed to have betrayed you as the next thing you said was, ''About how he and his girlfriends love alarm don't ring each other?''
He rolled his eyes and pointed towards your direction. ''No, I meant about you. He already knows you like him.'' He shook his head in a disappointed manner as if he was the one just hearing this information. You sighed and looked down. ''Okay.'' You turned around and continued cleaning as you were looking for your phone. ''You aren't mad about it?'' He asked.
''He has a girlfriend. What is he supposed to do? Just come up to me and acknowledge your feelings?'' You kept to what you were doing. You heard him chuckle. ''No, I think you already did that for him with you using your love alarm near him for it to ring. You weren't exactly acknowledging his relationship at that moment.'' It seemed as if Atsumu was teasing you but you knew his accusations were correct.
''Thank you for your help with all of this. Now-'' Before you could finish your sentence he interrupted you. ''-Now everything will go back to normal where the two of you will deny your own feelings for each other while pretending to be okay with just being friends.'' He wasn't even looking at you and was playing with a piece of wrapper that you didn't get to pick up. 'Yes.'' You replied.
He stopped messing with the wrapper and turned to you. ''He talked about his girlfriend a lot,'' Atsumu said. ''Really? Do you have to mention his now?'' You asked angrily.
Atsumu did not acknowledge your question and continued on. ''He would tell me stories about how she was pretty. No, he said beautiful. 'Samu would talk about all the things he wanted to do with her but had the chance. He talked like a fool in love. I mean who wouldn't? When I saw her I thought she was very beautiful.'' Atsumu smiled and looked at you before he continued on. ''I was happy for him. He's not like me so I never actually thought he'd get with anyone. He and his girlfriend looked amazing together and I thought he liked her a lot until his alarm ringed for you.'' He paused. ''I realize he was never actually talking about his girlfriend but instead talking about you.''
Throughout this whole speech, you took notice of how confused Atsumu seemed. He continued talking and you were listening though you were spacing out a bit. '' -So I want you.'' That is what broke you out of your trance. You took a step back. ''What?'' Your face turned sour and Atsumu noticed this almost becoming a little offended but kept his smile up. ''I want you. Shouldn't you be happier? I'm doing what 'Samu cannot. I'm telling you how I feel.'' He insisted.
You shook your head. ''No. No. That's not... no. You don't want me. We would hear my love alarm ring or buzz.''
''So? Why would you base everything on an app?'' He laughed. ''You're exactly how 'Samu described. You can make anyone laugh at the smallest things. I always listened intently when 'Samu described you. He only ever said good things about you. I asked about you every day and then I actually met you. The real person he was talking about which is you.''
''And what about the bad things? He didn't say anything about that?'' You were asking useless questions to stall time. You did not feel threatened but you were definitely confused. Atsumu rolled his eyes at you asking more about what he said but answered your question anyway. ''Nope.''
You snorted in a sarcastic manner. ''Just the other day you were mad at me for using my love alarm when your brother was near but now you're saying you're willing to hurt his feelings for someone you don't actually like.'' You started to move towards him looking at him. ''You envy Osamu don't you?'' Atsumu looked at you grimacing, ''Well we've shared everything up to this point even our love for volleyball. It's only natural isn't it?'' He spoke sharply as if that question was the last thing he was expecting.''
You shook your head disappointingly. ''You're probably just confused about it all because he understands something that you don't.''
He was confused. Everything Osamu had said about you, he said it with a smile. He had a different energy and Atsumu noticed this. At the time Atsumu thought his brother was talking about his ''girlfriend'' so when he met her, he was disappointed as she was not like what he had been told. He couldn't have cared less about their relationship and had no desire to ''understand'' the feeling that his brother desired. He felt like a fool for thinking his brother seemed different. He assumed he was just faking it up until a few days ago when he realized his brother was just talking about another girl.
Atsumu did not understand what he felt when he got excited to hear about you from Osamu. Maybe he didn't like you in the way he thought he did but he didn't seem to care. He did envy Osamu for understanding something he could not.
Atsumu looked down at his shoes. He spoke. ''I understand it perfectly. I want you....'' This time Atsumu said it with uncertainty, unlike the first time he said. He was starting to realize he actually really did not understand it.
You sighed and patted his shoulder. ''I'm not one to talk anyway. Let's try....to understand it. You and I.'' You walked out of the room without waiting for a response from him. He watched you while you walked out. He saw Osamu run to catch up to you as you walked out. He didn't feel any different and was too engrossed in his thoughts to hear anything around him as he smiled to himself seeing you turn the corner.
He was too engrossed in his thoughts to hear the muffled buzz as he left the room which was coming from your phone that was still left in the room as you forgot to continue looking for it when Atsumu came in.
He didn't understand what he felt but...
it doesn't mean that the feeling is not there.
