"CHE YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS." He snickered, shaking their spray can as they drew graffiti onto the walls. Currently, they were at an abandoned train station, Che stood on a chair, making graffiti on the wall. Honestly, graffiti was the only time he could explore his feelings, where art didn't have to have a meaning behind it, it was just him and his world

Che's smirk faltered once he heard a voice calling out from his side. " HEY!!" He quickly jumped off his chair, skidding off the hill as he yelled behind him, " Come on, GS!" Ganav groaned, staring at the old train conductor getting closer to him before chasing after him, " Wait, Che."

The train conductor panted, putting his hand on his knees as he adjusted his cap, sitting himself up from his position. He stared at the train's side, now colored with graffiti. He let out a simple 'Hmph' Walking back to where he was before.

HE WALKED INSIDE HIS CLASSROOM, putting his hands on his hips as he let out a laugh. His eyes trailed to the few students behind him, why do they look so disheveled? No laughter = No life, that's his memo.

" Good morn-" The teacher cut himself off, sweat trailing down the side of his face as soon as he saw their faces. She just patted his shoulder before sitting in his seat.

" Everyone get your homework out, please..." He said with a worried expression, Che wasn't even sure if he was enjoying his job anymore, guess the mood got ruined as soon as they walked into the classroom.

Che took out his homework from his backpack, he looked at the girl behind her before groaning, taking out the sheet of paper that had his answers on it. He always wrote his answers on scratch paper for emergencies unless he forgot his homework at home, but he mostly likely left that home as well. ( Lazy ahh☠️)

He gently put it on her desk, poking her head. That's the only thing he could reach, and considering the fact her head was down, it would probably be the only thing he enjoyed- Poking people. Her head sat up and Che looked back to make sure the teacher wasn't watching, then turned his head back to her. " I know you didn't do your homework, Tay. Copy off mine."

A little smile appeared on Taylor's face, at least she would get a good grade, well, if she even cared at all. Maybe she didn't unless she wouldn't be fastly scribbling his answers on her paper...

Che didn't care what the teacher had to say, he wrote notes down that he knew he would've forgotten and it seemed time went by fast when the bell rang. ' Thank you, Jesus.' He thought, his attention leaving the window for once.

Ashlyn sat her head up from her desk as soon as the bell rang. ' Shoot, I slept through class again. Looks like the others did too. She rubbed her nose, looking in the opposite direction, her braid slipping past her shoulder and onto her chest. ' At this rate, we're all gonna fail, but not much you can do in our situation.'

Ashlyn looked at the boy behind her, why did she have a bad feeling about him? She never knew Che, but she knew Taylor was friends with him. She hasn't told the group about him but she could tell he was friend and popular around here. She didn't know if was for his looks or something about him that made everyone so cool around him. But why did she feel like he knew something they didn't like he knew that something was going on around here but wouldn't spill.
Her eyes widened, wait a second, he-

" Ashlyn!" Her eyes trailed to her group standing in the middle of the classroom. The male with blonde curly hair smiled at her, his hands planted in his pockets. " We're all eating lunch together!" He put his hand on his cheek as if to make sure no one could hear what their conversation was about. Which was obviously a failed attempt. " Y'know to talk about stuff."

Ashlyn side glanced at him, her hands clutching her book. " Alright...
' He always says 'stuff' when he means phantoms. This should go well.'

Che watched them leave the classroom with a suspicious look on his face, he took out a spiral journal writing a few words down before putting it back in his backpack and walking out of the room.

UNKNOWN WORLD.
- It seems a few students have lost sleep ever since we went on the field trip, it's like they are going somewhere or know something that is kept a secret. I've eavesdropped their conversations before and they mentioned something about phantoms and sleep. I'll confront them today, after all, I'll need this for my story! >_<

CHATTERING CONSUMED THE CAFETERIA the teens sat at a table all together, an awkward silence surrounding them all, some even not trying to eat their food. They sat behind them at another table, pretending to have an engaging conversation with them but in reality, spying on the people ahead.

Ashlyn leaned her head on her hand which was set across her cheek, staring at her food, having nothing else to stare that. ' Just as awkward as I thought it'd be.'

" I think we should go back to Savannah."

A male with glasses his fork in his hand, a worried expression plastered on his face. " I thought everyone agreed it was too dangerous...?"

The maroon-haired male had a scowl on his face, glaring at them. " So what? We're just supposed to let things stay like they are?"
Che raised an eyebrow, what did they mean 'Let things stay like they are' Was something happening that involved all of them somehow, hopefully, it didn't involve smoking or any kind of drugs.

Ashlyn looked at his direction, her hands on her side. " I'd rather be semi-stuck than permanently stuck." The maroon-haired boy leaned his body onto the table, his arms crossed onto the metal surface. " Well, maybe if you would have told us the truth from the beginning, we wouldn't be stuck at all!"

Che zoned out of the conversation, biting his thumb, leaving light mite marks on his skin. So, he was confused. They were stuck, but where, it doesn't look like they are in some kind of danger in real life since they're all together- Wait. His breath hitched, maybe not in real life but somewhere else... But that doesn't make sense, how is that even possible-

" WHETHER I WOULD HAVE BELIEVED IT OR NOT SHE SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING!" Che went back to reality when he heard a shout coming from In front of him, a smirk appeared on his lips, oh he loves drama. Matter of fact -He lives for it. He saw the maroon male standing up, his hands glued to the table, leaning over. An agitated look on his face. " RUNNING AWAY FROM FLESH-EATING DEADLY CREATURES, I'VE LOST COUNT MANY NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES I'VE HAD."

Che was eating non-existent popcorn, this was getting excessive for him. Listening to people's conversations, call it habit, stalking, whatever. But he can't help it, he can't stop and even if he tried, he's the type of person to make a New Year's resolution only to break it the next day. " NONE OF US HAVE SLEPT IN DAYS, WE CAN'T TELL OUR PARENTS OR ANY-"

BAM!

The boy who had his head down through the whole conversation put his fist down, quickly shutting him up as he put his finger to his lips, shushing him. The maroon boy shivered for a bit before looking down at the table. " If we don't go back to the Savannah where this cycle has begun. Then, what else are we supposed to do."

Everyone went quiet on that, Ashlyn looked down. ' As annoying as his outburst was, it's understandable.' She thought, ' If we go back, Then we might find out what's happening and how to escape. Or we could make things much worse.'

' SHOULD WE RISK IT?'

Che walked over to them and sat next to Ashlyn, everyone looking up at him in confusion. Che took his journal, and set it on his lap. " I know you're secret." They all flinched harshly, Che swatted his hands in their direction giving them a smug look. " Chill, I won't tell anyone, plus they won't believe me," Che set his hands under his chin, leaning towards them with a closed-eyed smile. " I think I wanna help you guys, so I just wanna confirm a few things.

Everyone looked at each other except the boy himself, deciding if they should trust him in the first place, he was right about the believing part. Their pretty sure nobody would believe him even if he tried to tell... Ashlyn sighed, " What do you want to know."

Che smirked, putting his pin in between his index and middle finger. " First, are you somehow going to another place that's not in our atmosphere?" Ashlyn turned her head towards him, her appearance clearly showed she was tired. " Yes... But it's complicated." the male with glasses played with his food by sticking his fork into it. " We haven't instigated into it a lot."

Che let out a small 'hmm', writing a few notes down. He set his tools down back in his bag, putting his hands in his lap. " Mmm... How about we introduce ourselves? I'm Cherry, but people call me Che."

A male raised his hands with a creepy smile. " I'm Aiden." Ashlyn looked to the side, " Ashlyn," Taylor smiled, pointing to her brother. " You already know me, Che, but this is my brother, Tyler," Tyler gave him a nasty look but he didn't give him one back, instead just a smile. Taylor sighed when Tyler didn't introduce the other male, she pointed to the male facing, Tyler, " And this is Ben." Che blinked for a few seconds before grinning, staring at him. " Like Ben 10? Crazy..." Ben just avoided his gaze, looking to the side, Che just shrugged in response.

Tyler didn't like him, it seemed like he could just read him without even talking to him before, it made him feel uneasy... The male with glasses smiled at Che in front of him. " I'm Logan, it's nice to meet you." Che clasped his hands together, looking around at each one of them. " Now that we introduced ourselves, how about you tell me how this all started...

FROM THE BEGINNING."

UPDATE ON JOURNAL !

- It seems a few students have lost sleep ever since we went on the field trip, it's like they are going somewhere or know something that is kept a secret. I've eavesdropped their conversations before and they mentioned something about phantoms and sleep. I'll confront them today, after all, I'll need this for my story! >_<
- Turns out, there are Phantoms in this place they are going into, the boy said they are eating... Now I'm concerned, I would've thought it would have just some difficulties for them to experience things like this, but turns out they are involved in it and not just them individually, and they're not helping me figure this out themself. They haven't even tried to investigate this, I mean I could relate, black people always die first when they investigate...☠️

I put my sweat, tears, and dedication into this chapter, so enjoy it or else <3 But how did you enjoy this chapter? What are your theories or thoughts about Che, don't worry the boy at the start is a protagonist. The first photo shows who will be in this book!
