Saturday, 8th of February, 11:48 PM. Kiyashi Ward Shopping Centre.

This was one of the days that Mikumo was glad that the shopping mall was open twenty-four-seven, or else he wouldn't have known when else to come there.

Katsuki had been around him for the whole day, and then when it was finally eight-thirty, his bedtime, he just had to fall asleep on Mikumo. (It was very adorable, and as much as Mikumo cherished moments like those, he really needed to leave, and time was a wasting!)

Fortunately, about ten minutes before eleven-forty-eight, Katsuki turned in his sleep and released Mikumo from his hold on top of him.

So, all Mikumo had to do was carefully slip out of Katsuki's hold, replace his body with the body pillow of him that Katsuki got for his birthday (don't ask), quickly sneak out of the dorms without getting caught, and get the hell out of there before Katsuki woke up!

And surprisingly enough, he succeeded! He made it to the shopping centre safely, without any disturbances on the way! Truly a remarkable day in history.

And as if it couldn't get any better, when Mikumo stepped inside, he almost instantly found the perfect gift for Katsuki! It practically had his name written all over it, it was perfect for him!

Mikumo wanted to cry from how happy he was, happier than when he tried sour candy for the first time — he couldn't even hide the nerdy smile plastered on his face as he walked out of the store and began wandering around the building.

Feeling light as air, Mikumo decided, hey, why not treat himself for finding the perfect gift? He deserved it! (Well, at least that what was his therapist and Katsuki kept telling him.)

He went towards the food court area, looking around at the available options, before one certain restaurant caught his eye; McDonald's. He then walked over to the fast-food restaurant where teenage and middle-aged dreams went to die, gift in hand.

He supposed he could stay out for a little longer. After all, what could've possibly gone wrong?
