"Where are Griffin and Harper?"
It was Monday, and Sulphur Springs High School was in session. The fifth period was underway for all students; however, Griffin and Harper were absent from Mrs. Hensley's class. None of their fellow classmates seemed to be bothered by the absence of the two, but Juju couldn't help but ponder over what they might be doing. Especially since they were in a relationship with each other.
" I haven't seen them since lunch," Adelaide said, sitting at her desk
"There probably making out in the bathroom" Juju mumbled, annoyed
"What was that, Juliette," Mrs. Hensley said, raising an eyebrow
"Um...Nothing" Juju spoke, realizing she had herd
"Mhmm" Mrs. Hensley nodded slowly
Mrs. Hensley walked back over to her teacher's desk and took a seat. She put on her glasses and looked towards the class. "Well, enough of waiting on them," she said. "Please open your computers and log into Move Through Math; I have assigned a lesson."
The students followed Mrs. Hensley's instructions, eagerly launching their laptops and logging in to the online program. Eight minutes later, Harper and Griffin burst through the door, surprising everyone in the room.
"Griffin!, Harper! We see you have decided to join us" Mrs. Hensley said, taking off her glasses
"We're sorry, Mrs. Hensley" Harper spoke, sincerely
" I had to stop by the gym. Coach Waylon wanted to see me for something"
"And I had to go to the office. My mom dropped off my dance clothes" Harper said, holding up her dance duffel bag
"Ok" Mrs. Hensley quoted
"Just sit in your-"
"NOPE, NOPE, I DON'T BELIVE THEM" Juju blurted out
"THERE JUST LYING. SEND 'EM TO THE PRINCIPLES OFFICE-"
"Juju, stop," A classmate named Destiny said, trying to calm her friend down
"STOP" Juju yelled, as she digressed her friends pulling
"JULIETTE" Mrs. Hensley yelled, startling everyone. It was so loud they all swore to god that other classes heard.
"Step out of the room" Mrs. Hensley instructed, pointing to the door
"But Mrs. Hensley-"
"NOW!"
Juju got up from her seat and walked down the aisle of the desk. Slouching as she exited the room.
"Please take your seats, Harper and Griffin," Mrs. Hensley said, straightening herself back up
Harper and Griffin wasted no time in finding their seats.
"Please just go back to Move Through Math, I'll be outside the door"
Mrs. Hensley walked out the door, leaving a class full of 11th graders alone.
Mrs. Hensley had a discussion with Juju regarding her behavior, but it was clear that Juju did not have much concern for the outcome. All of the students had returned to their desks and were continuing to work on their Move Through Math assignments. Soon after, Mrs. Hensley's phone indicated that there were only five more minutes of class left. As a special teacher, she declared the rest of the time to be free time as soon as the timer sounded.
"Ok, boys and girls, That's it for today. Free time!" Mrs. Hensley declared
The class became loud, as people started to pack up their things
"Oh, and no phone, Juju" Mrs. Hensley said, over the noise
Juju nodded

Juju observed Griffin and Harper take out their phones, and with nearly all of the class, they moved to the rear of the room where the couches were located.
"Why did you cause such a ruckus during class?" Destiny questioned
"Cause, we all know Harper and Griffin weren't doing what they said they were"
"I don't really think that's any of your concern," Destiny said
Juju rolled her eyes
"Ever since they got together my life's been horrible" Juju complained
Destiny raised an eyebrow
"But look," Juju said pulling her phone out of her pocket, making sure Mrs. Hensley doesn't see
"Juju!, no phone" Destiny whisper yelled
" Oh shut up," Juju unlocked her phone
Destiny sighed
"I was on Instagram, and I came across this photo," Juju said turning her phone toward Destiny
"Aww," Destiny admired
"Destiny!" Juju said, focusing her friend back up again
"Look at the comments" Juju pointed out
Destiny squinted her eyes
"It said she dances 4 days a week for 3 hours," Juju said, pointing at the specific comment
"Yeah?"
"There's no way she has time for a boyfriend," Juju said, pointing to the obvious
Destiny remarked, "She manages pretty well," as she directed her gaze toward the group on the couch. They were recording TikToks. She found it amusing to see Griffin tik-toking with Harper, his girlfriend.
"All I have to do is make Griffin see that she can't manage it"
"Then he'll realize I was right, and hello to being his girlfriend again," Juju said with a smile
"Juju, no, don't-"
"Listen, I'll do whatever it takes to get him back. HES MINE" Juju sterned
Destiny nodded, a little afraid
A while after, the bell rang (Thank god). 5th period was over.
"Bye guys," Mrs. Hensley said, as students began to leave her classroom
Once Griffin had exited the classroom, Juju and Destiny trailed him. He walked towards his locker, depositing his math books into it in preparation for his subsequent physical education class. Juju found joy in this as her consecutive course, art class, was located directly next to the school track which meant she would be able to watch Griffin running from out of the window each day: A sight that filled her with joy.
"Ok, it's gone time, "Juju said, before fixing her hair, and checking her breath
Destiny watched confusedly
Juju and Destiny walked over to Griffin
"Hey, My little sunshine," Juju said, with a smile
"Juju" Griffin said, sounding a little disgusted
"Hey Griffin," Destiny said, grinning
" D- day!" Griffin =smiled
"You have a nickname for her?" Juju questioned
"Aren't you Juju-"
"Ok, never mind" She interrupted. "I came over here to warn you about a thing, "Juju said in a serious tone
"That being?"
"You're a dum-dum because obviously, Harper dances too much to be with you," Juju said rapidly
Destiny just sighed, putting her head in her hands
"Juju, We have been over this. HARPER'S MY GIRLFRIEND" Griffin said, trying to make Juju get the message
"I know" Juju spoke
" Then you shouldn't care," Griffin said, before turning to walk away
"Wait," Juju said, stopping him in his tracks.
Griffin exhaled
"Just look"
Juju pulled out her phone, showing Griffin the Instagram photo of Harper
"Aww," Griffin adored
"No, fool! Look at this comment" Juju said, pointing to it
Juju could tell Griffin looked at it
"Read it" Juju demanded
"Said something about dancing 4 days a week for 3 hours" Griffin spoke
"Meaning 4 days and for 3 hours, not spent with you" Juju reminded
"Doesn't that bother you?" Juju asked, hoping for a certain answer
"No, not really"
"It also said that was from 10 years ago, by the way," Griffin said
"Potato, Po- Tah- To" Juju scoffed
"No... Potato, 10 years ago"
"Besides, she dances more now," Griffin said, swinging his gym back over his shoulders
"Ok?"
"She's more successful than you" Griffin mentioned
"I sincerely doubt that" Juju stated
Griffin chuckled
"I wouldn't compete with Harper" Destiny warned
"I mean, she's a recreational dancer, A competitive dancer, she models for her studio-"
"And she also takes acting classes. She's thinking about acting" Griffin added with a smile
"UGH!" Juju groaned
"One day, you'll see that it was supposed to be us ruling side by side"
"And when it does, you'll regret everything," Juju said, scarily
"This isn't over, Campbell" Juju smirked, before walking away
Griffin raised an eyebrow
"Destiny, what does she mean by-"
"I suggest you watch your back, Griffin" Destiny interrupted, sounding worried as heck
"This same situation happened in 8th grade, just with Josh"
"Oh yeah, didn't that Josh kid move?" Griffin wondered
Destiny simply looked down
"He moved, right?" Griffin asked, eagerly
"Juju, doesn't take no for an answer, Griffin"
"Please be careful," Destiny said, before walking away, catching up with her "friend".
Griffin was dumbstruck as he attempted to comprehend the implications of what had just occurred. What could Juju have meant? What was Destiny hinting at? Could it be...no, surely not.
