The sun beamed down on Disneyland California Adventure park, casting its warm glow on all who passed through. Among the crowd of babies, toddlers, kids, teens, and adults, one family stood out with an air of strength. Zoey Campbell, the 15-year-old of beauty, strolled alongside her twin brother Wyatt, older brother Griffin, and their parents, exuding grace with every step.

The Campbell family decided to celebrate Zoey landing her first movie role in "The Necklace" by Judith Davis with a trip to Disneyland. With filming set to begin in a few weeks, the 15-year-old was overjoyed. Despite her acting career starting to take off, Zoey was still dedicated to her first love: dance.

Zoey, a well-known dancer, has been a part of Sulphur Springs Dance Studio for a duration of 4 years. At the age of 12, she received an opportunity to audition for the Elite Competition team, the most advanced team at the studio, through one of Harper's friends. Impressing the judges, she became the youngest member to join the team. Over the years, Zoey has participated in numerous competitions, including the recent Nationals, where she emerged victorious.

Her exceptional skills even caught the attention of Spotlight Dance Magazine, the world's most popular dance magazine, leading to an interview. The video featuring her on their channel has now gone viral, accumulating approximately 5 million views. Waking up to find out she was verified was no surprise, given the attention she kept gaining.

"Hey, kiddos. Your dad and I are going to look for a water station. I believe he's getting too hot,"Sarah's words echoed through the air, causing the teenagers to turn their gaze towards Ben. His face was a deep shade of crimson, sweat glistening on his forehead.

"I'm not overheating!" Ben retorted.

"You mentioned feeling lightheaded," Sarah pointed out, arching her eyebrow.

"I did, but it's likely just from that spinning tea cups ride we went on," Ben replied, his voice slightly strained.

The Campbell siblings exchanged looks, their expressions a mix of bewilderment.

"We haven't rode that yet," Zoey remarked, her voice tinged with confusion.

Ben's eyes widened.

"Water station it is!" Sarah declared, taking her husband's hand and pulling him towards the distance.

The teenagers carried on with their stroll in the park, undeterred by their parents. However, it was a bit challenging to focus on deciding what to do next as Griffin was engrossed in his phone, cooing away.

"I know, Harper. I know, muffin. Shh, shh, shh, it's all good. Just let it out, alright? I wish I could be there to cuddle you, mama. No, no, no-don't cry, lovey" Griffin's voice trembled with urgency, his words laced with sheer panic. His eyes were fixated on the phone screen, where his girlfriend appeared, hunched over the toilet, retching uncontrollably. Her eyes welled up with tears, cascading down her cheeks like a torrential downpour.

"Did you know that Bailey could have easily taken care of Harper while Griffin was away?" Wyatt leaned in close to his sister, his voice a whisper.

Zoey shook her head in disbelief, retrieving her phone and diving into the captivating world of its contents. "Bailey would've pretended to be sick just to have an excuse to be with her."

Wyatt's face lit up with a gentle smile as he nodded in complete agreement. That's Bailey Moody for you.

Zoey's voice resonated with authority as she spoke up, "Let's go to Grizzly River Run now, because we have a - OH GOD!" her voice reverberated in shock as she crashed into an enigmatic figure, causing her phone to slip from her grasp and plummet onto the unforgiving concrete below.

"Dammit! I'm sorry," Zoey exclaimed, her eyes cast down as she attempted to grab her phone. Before she could grasp it, a gentle hand beat her to it. "No worries," the person reassured as they both rose to their feet, their eyes meeting in a moment of connection.

But in that moment, their eyes widened, sending shockwaves through their bodies, and piercing screams escaped their lips, shattering the silence. The phone slipped from their trembling hands, crashing to the ground once again.

"Sydnee?! Sydnee?! What's happening?!" a boy's voice cried out, his words laced with desperation, as he rushed towards the chaotic scene.

"Rylee, it's hideous!" Sydnee gasped, her finger trembling as she pointed towards the figure before them.

Rylee's bewildered gaze locked with Zoey's, his face contorting with confusion.

"It's just Zoey," Rylee reassured, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"I know! Hideous!" Sydnee repeated, her voice quivering with fear, as if the very sight of Zoey sent chills down her spine.

Zoey, unamused by the dramatics, rolled her eyes in exasperation, provoking a chuckle from Sydnee.

"Why the hell are you here? Have you been stalking me?" Zoey demanded, her voice dripping with irritation.

"No, dumbass. Who would waste their time following you? They would have to be blind and completely delusional, just like all your so-called friends," Sydnee retorted, causing Zoey's expression to transform into pure fury.

"But since you're so curious, let me tell you. Me, my family, and Rylee, my boyfriend, are here for my birthday," she declared, clutching onto Rylee's arm as she gazed up at him with adoration.

Rylee returned her gaze, his smile radiant. However, when his eyes met Zoey's, he could sense her unease and discomfort.

Ever since Rylee Woodgrip had betrayed Zoey by getting involved with her enemy, their relationship had turned sour. They no longer exchanged texts, calls, or FaceTime sessions. Rylee and Zoey's interactions were so awkward, especially when Rylee recently had to attend Camry's dance competition and see Zoey. Unfortunately, it always seemed to conclude with them yelling at one another, as was the case on most days

"We're back!" a cheerful voice exclaimed, drawing closer to the group of adolescents. Zoey spun around, only to find her parents standing before her.

"Sydnee? What brings you here?" Ben inquired, his tone brimming with curiosity.

"It's my birthday," Sydnee announced, a grin lighting up her face, prompting him to nod in understanding.

"Mrs. Campbell, I was just telling Zozo how stunning she looks today. She's absolutely beautiful," Sydnee gushed, her voice filled with admiration.

"Aww. You're too kind, Syd," Sarah responded, a smile playing on her lips. Zoey rolled her eyes.

Sarah interjected, her voice tinged with urgency. "Hey, sweetie, is there a chance your Mom isn't-"

"OH MY GOODNESS! SARAH CAMPBELL, IS THAT YOU?!" the air was pierced by a thunderous exclamation.

Sarah's heart sank as she closed her eyes, bracing herself for what was to come. Wyatt, on the other hand, couldn't contain his amusement and erupted into laughter.

With a tinge of disdain in her voice, Sarah replied, "Hello, Halley."

Curiosity dripped from Halley's words as she inquired, "What brings you guys to California?"

A mischievous smile played on Sarah's lips as she spoke up, "Well, we're here because my daughter landed her first movie role."

Unable to resist, Halley chuckled, a smug smirk dancing on her face, "Isn't it ironic how my daughter has already filmed her movie and attended the worldwide premiere while Zozo is still waiting to start?"

Sarah's voice dripped with mockery as she retorted, "Yes, I'm sure your daughter had a blast playing the 30th supporting character."

Halley scoffed, her voice brimming with incredulity, "Oh, as if your daughter is any better."

"Actually, I'm literally one of the main characters," Zoey declared, her voice full of defiance.

Sydnee let out a disbelieving scoff. "Being one of the main characters is crazy."

"Well, being none of them is crazier, don't you think?" Zoey spat, her tone laced with irritation.

Sydnee faltered, unable to come up with a response. Desperate, she turned to Rylee, who gave her a knowing look.

"Don't speak to her like that," Rylee warned, his eyes flashing with determination.

Zoey's eyes pleaded as she exclaimed, "Just shut up, Rylee!"

The boy's eyebrow shot up, as he took a step closer to the girl. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to?"

"You, you asshole," Zoey retorted, her voice dripping with frustration.

He could see tears starting to well up in her eyes, leaving him bewildered.

"Why are you so sensitive?" he inquired, his tone laced with irritation.

"Well, do you think I'd be so sensitive if you hadn't...if you...never mind," Zoey trailed off, a hint of sadness in her voice.

Rylee's gaze softened.

Zoey's eyes fixated on her abandoned phone, still lying on the ground. With determination, she reached out to retrieve it, only to have Sydnee's foot cruelly kick it away, just out of her grasp.

"Do you want your precious phone?" Sydnee taunted, her voice dripping with mockery.

Locked in a fierce gaze, Zoey watched in horror as Sydnee's foot rose and came crashing down on her phone, shattering the delicate screen. Her eyes widened in disbelief.

"Oops," Sydnee exclaimed, her voice oozing with fake innocence.

Fury surged through Zoey's veins as she shouted, "What the hell is wrong with you?!" Her voice resonated with anger.

Sydnee's laughter echoed hauntingly as she bent down to pick up the broken phone, reveling in the sight of the cracked screen.

"Enjoy the rest of your day, Campbells," Sydnee sneered, tossing the phone into the air. In a swift motion, Wyatt's nimble hands intercepted the device, leaving Sydnee and her entourage to walk away.

"I think we won," Wyatt declared, a smile dancing on his lips.

Rolling her eyes in exasperation, Zoey snatched her phone and stormed off, leaving behind the remnants of the encounter.
