"Three. Two. One." 

I uncovered Maki's eyes and I revealed our new home. 

Maki always wanted to move to the countryside, and for her 23rd birthday, I wanted to do something special for her. Sure 23 wasn't a milestone birthday, but I wanted all of Maki's birthdays to be special.

"Y/N! It is perfect! Thank you so much!"

Seeing the joy in Maki's face always made you smile. I knew that this was the house that we would raise our children in. Kids this is that house...

"No problem Maki. Happy birthday!" I said, and Maki tightly hugged me.

"Ah... Maki, you are crushing me.." I commented, and Maki rolled her eyes at me after she pulled away. 

The inside was all barren, but I gave Maki a budget to decorate the home using only her imagination. Kids that is why everything in the house is either black or red... Those were your mother's favorite colors and I don't think she is going to change her mind about them anytime soon. 

"Y/N I am going to fill this house up with the furniture that are kids are going to sit on..."

Kids? She has been bringing kids up a lot the past week or so, and it was getting a little weird at this point. 

"Maki, what is with you talk about kids? You have been bringing them up a lot lately."

"No r-reason..."

Uh oh, she was stuttering... That means she was lying about something. 

"Maki, what is wrong?" I asked her with a suspicious tone of voice, and she sighed. 

"Sit down..." 

I obliged and sat on the black carpet of the living room, and after she took a deep breath she confessed something that would change our lives forever.

"Y/N, I'm pregnant."
