"Enjoy your honeymoon, sweetheart, because now you won't enjoy a bit, because I will cage you in my life forever."It was written in blood, it's looking fresh, as if someone had just written it now, the letter fell from her hand as fear gripped her.

Aaravi's hands are sweating and trembling, her heart racing with fear, her breathing uneven. Her face is drenched in sweat despite the winter chill. Her mind has stopped working, and her legs are shaking. She grips the corner of her bench for support.

Her mind is filled with questions: Who wrote the letter? How does he know that she is married?

She looked around the entire classroom to see if anyone was watching her, but no one seemed to be paying attention to her. Her phone pinged with a notification, and with trembling hands, she took it out and read the message. Her eyes filled with tears of fear.

ANONYMOUS:
"Oh sweetheart, don't bother looking around because you won't find me anywhere."

With trembling hands, she typed on her phone and sent a message:

AARAVI:
"Who are you? What do you want? Why are you doing this? What will you gain from all this?"

Aaravi's entire body was shaking with fear.

ANONYMOUS:
"Ohhh birdie, you still haven't understood? I want you, only you. And I will have you by doing all of this. We'll meet soon, birdie, you in my cage."

Aaravi's blood ran cold as her phone buzzed with an anonymous message. Her fingers trembled as she again opened it and read the chilling words.

ANONYMOUS:
"I see you, birdie. Always."

Her breath caught, and she quickly scanned her surroundings again. Every shadow in the classroom suddenly felt oppressive. The once-familiar warmth of the space now seemed threatening, as though unseen eyes were on her. Her mind raced with questions-Who was it? How did he know her?-but no answers came, only the suffocating grip of fear tightening its hold on her. Clutching her phone close, her heart pounded wildly, a silent plea for safety echoing in her thoughts.

"What happened, Aaravi? Why are you sweating in winter?" Shreya entered the classroom, stood next to Aaravi, and asked. Aaravi flinched at the sudden sound of her voice. Aaravi immediately wiped her tears, blinked twice, and looked at Shreya.

"I...nothing...nothing happened, and...sweating? I just...feel hot," Aaravi replied, trembling slightly.

"What's this lying on the floor?" Shreya bent down to pick up the letter, but Aaravi quickly bent down first, snatched it up, and crumpled it in her hand, her face looking horrified.

"Nothing, it just fell out of my bag. It's written as some medicines we need to give to the professor, yeah, yeah," Aaravi lied, shreya looked at Aaravi suspiciously but then shrugged it off. Her gaze shifted from Aaravi to the rose bouquet, and her eyes widened in surprise. However, her reaction become normal, pouting as she looked back at Aaravi.

"Now, who's the new lover boy, Aaru, who gave you this rose bouquet?" Shreya wiggling her eyebrows. Aaravi nervously licked her lips, glancing fearfully at the rose bouquet. She couldn't tell Shreya that it wasn't a lover boy who sent the bouquet, but a deranged psycho who even wrote a letter in fresh blood.

"I'm sorry, Shreya, but I can't tell you about this matter. Besides, you already worry so much about me, so I just can't say anything," Aaravi muttered under her breath, her voice so low that Shreya couldn't hear her.

"I don't know. When I entered the classroom, I just saw this red rose bouquet," Aaravi lied, feeling a pang of guilt for deceiving someone who genuinely cared about her well-being.

Shreya put her index finger on her chin, deep in thought. "Aaravi, whoever this lover boy is, he must be from our college. He could be our classmate, someone from another section, a junior, or even a senior. But who knows who this lover boy is?" Shreya says.

Her words struck Aaravi like lightning. That crazy psycho could be anyone from this college.

"He can be anyone," Aaravi whispered the sentence again, fear consuming her so intensely that even her soul seemed to tremble. Unshed tears glistened in her eyes.

"Did you say something, Aaru?" Shreya asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Nahi!" Aaravi replies.

( No )

"So, what will you do with this bouquet now?" Shreya asked, looking pitifully at the bouquet, knowing exactly what would happen to it. Because whenever someone placed a bouquet, the only thing Aaravi did was:

THROW IT OUT OF THE WINDOW.

Aaravi gave her a look that said, Is that even a question? Of course, I'll throw it.

Aaravi tried her best not to show any fear in front of Shreya, so she gave her the same look she always did.

"Yeah, I know you'll throw it out of the window, like you always do," Shreya giggled, resting her elbow on Aaravi's shoulder. Aaravi managed a small smile in response.

Her hands trembled as she picked up the bouquet and walked to the corner of the classroom where the windows were. Without hesitation, she threw the bouquet out of the window.

Aaravi kept watching the bouquet fall from the window until it hit the road below. Then she turned around, walked back to her bench, and sat down. Shreya also sat beside her.

Soon, their professor entered and started the lecture. While Shreya's full concentration was on the lecture, Aaravi's mind was stuck on the letter. She couldn't get it out of her thoughts.

"Was there something lacking in my cup of tea that now I've been given another problem named crazy psycho boy?" Aaravi muttered to herself, her voice so low that only she could hear it.

Aaravi and Shreya were sitting in the college canteen after their lecture ended.

Shreya was continuously blabbering, and Aaravi was listeningโ€”or rather, trying to listenโ€”but failing miserably. Her thoughts kept drifting back to that blood-written letter. Shreya glanced at Aaravi and noticed that she seemed lost in her own world.

"Ma'am, come out of the dream world of your husband," Shreya teased Aaravi, but Aaravi didn't even hear her teasing words.

Shreya shook Aaravi, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Did something happen, Aaravi? You seem lost. You couldn't concentrate on the lecture, and now you're behaving strangely. Is everything okay?" Shreya asked with concern, placing her hand on Aaravi's.

Aaravi's chin wobbled as she struggled to hold back her emotions. She turned her face away, forced a smile, and then turned back to Shreya, smiling faintly.

"You worry too much, Shreya. Nothing happened, and yes, everything is fine. I'm feeling hungry. Do you want to eat something?" Aaravi said, trying to divert the conversation. She wanted to get away from Shreya, knowing that if she stayed, one more question from Shreya might make her spill everything.

Shreya frowned slightly but eventually shrugged and said, "One coffee." Aaravi immediately stood up and walked towards the counter to buy snacks for them.

Shreya's eyes fell on a group of boys, and she noticed one of them giving Aaravi a lustful gaze, licking his lips while staring at her back.

Shreya clenched her fists, trying to control the urge to beat the shit out of that boy. But she lost her composure when he traced the shape of Aaravi's back with his hand, said something to his friend, and laughed disgustingly.

Shreya angrily stood up from her chair and walked toward the group of boys. She stopped right in front of the boy.

"Bohot shauk haina ladkiyon ke back check karne ka, huh?" Shreya said, grabbing the boy by his hair and delivering a sharp kick to his groin.

The boy yelped in pain, clutching his groin, while his friends stood frozen in shock, unable to process what had just happened.

Shreya grabbed his hair again, pulling him up forcefully, and yelled,"behen ke pakode agar maine tujhe kisi bhi ladkiyon taraf dekhte huye bhi dekha na aur basically jiss ladki ko tu abhi check kar raha tha, maine toh baas thoda sa tera tera future aandhera kiya hai, par next time pura aandhera kar dungi, kabhi baap nahi bann payega,"

Aaravi, who was placing their order, heard Shreya yelling. She turned around, saw Shreya, and her eyes widened in shock. Without wasting a moment, she ran toward Shreya and grabbed her hand, pulling it away from the boy's hair.

The boy looked at his friends angrily,"saalo dekh kya rahe ho pakdo iss ladki ko,"he yelled at them.

Aaravi was scared because there were more than six boys, and it was just the two of them. Aaravi didn't know karate or any other self-defense skills, but Shreya didโ€”she was a black belt in karate. However, Aaravi knew Shreya couldn't handle all of them alone.

She looked fearfully at Shreya, whose face was completely red with anger.

"Shreya, let it go and let's leave," Aaravi pleaded, pulling Shreya back. But Shreya was not at all ready to let go of the boy.

Shreya pulled her hand back from Aaravi's grip and whispered,"Just wait, Aaru, I'll kick them where the sun doesn't shine,"and winked at Aaravi.

Aaravi looked at Shreya helplessly.

Shreya glanced at the boys, raised her eyebrows, and said,"Kisko future mein baap nahi banna hai woh aage aajaye, jaldi karna mere paas itna time nahi hai!"

The boys looked at each other and gulped nervously.

The boy whom Shreya had kicked said,"Areh jatin bhai jaa na."

Jatin said nervously,"Saale sorry bolde aur khatam kar mujhe baap Banna hai future mein, waise bhi teri hi galti thi!"

Shreya looked at Jatin and said, "Yes, apologise."

The boy looked around and saw that everyone was watching them. Then looked at Shreya, gulped, gritted his teeth, and said, "Sorry."

Shreya shook her head. "Nah, that's not how you apologise. And don't apologize to me, apologise to the one you were staring at."

The boy looked at Aaravi and said, "I'm sorry."

Shreya said,"Doctor dikha lena ki tu future mein baap bann bhi sakta hai ya nahi, kyunki jitna jor ka tujhe laath padi hai na, you know na main kya bolna chahti hoon!," Shreya made an innocent face, and the boy gritted his teeth, looking around the entire canteen. Some people were laughing at him and making jokes. He glared at Shreya, then turned and left the canteen.

Shreya looked at Aaravi and said, "Alright, now you go and get the food."
