โ€ขAaravi's povโ€ข

I was packing all my belongings because today we are going on our honeymoon, as Dadi wants us to go and get closer to each other, as we want to get close to each other. It's such a waste of time because I know we can never actually be close, but we can't tell her that, right? Otherwise, she would be sad, and I don't want her to be sad because of me since I love her.

"Are you done with your packing? Hurry up, we only have 30 minutes," here comes my husband, who canโ€™t speak without giving orders.

"Almost done," I said.

"Pack quickly, I can't wait for you," he snaps.

"My packing is done," I said and zipped up the luggage.

"Good to hear. Now go and change your dress, we are leaving in 5 minutes," he said and left the room.

Why is he so eager, as if he can't wait to go on our honeymoon?

Just because of this honeymoon, I had to stop going to college.

I walked towards the closet, changed into an olive green saree, and came out.

I walked in front of the mirror, put on the bangles he gifted me, and wore the anklet. I applied sindoor.

I took my phone and left the room.

I walked down the stairs and came to the hall where Maa, Dadi, Aahana, and he were sitting.

"Aaravi beta, is all the packing done?" Dadi asked.

"Yes, Dadi, everything is packed," I said.

"Okay, you all should have lunch now, as it will be time for your flight soon," Mom said.

We ate lunch together.

"I'll go get our luggage," my husband said, and I nodded.

"Bhabhi," Aahana di called me.

Yes, Aahana diโ€”since she's four years older than me, I learned that yesterday. I told her I would call her 'di,' but at first, she refused because I'm her big brother's wife. However, I insisted, saying I don't have an elder sister, and after a lot of requests, she finally agreed.

"Yes, Aahana di," I replied.

"I will miss you and your cooking," she said with a pout.

"I will miss you too, Aahana di, but don't worry, weโ€™ll be back soon, and Iโ€™ll bring lots of gifts for you," I said.

"Really?" she said and hugged me.

"Really," I laughed.

"You know, you are the best bhabhi in the world," she said and kissed my cheek.

"And you are the best sister-in-law, you know," I said.

"Aaravi beta, listen," Mom said, and I sat down in front of her.

"Yes, Mom, tell me."

"Since you both are leaving, take care of yourself and my useless son. I know he gets angry, but he's not bad at heart. Just make sure to stay away from him when he's angry," Mom said.

Not bad at heart, huh? Mom, you should see what kind of heart your son actually hasโ€”if you knew, maybe you'd understand.

Whether he's angry or not, I don't even want to go near him.

"Mom, are you bad-mouthing me behind my back?" my husband said as he came in holding two pieces of luggage.

"I'm not bad-mouthing you, just telling the truth," Mom said, and a little giggle escaped from me.

He shot a glare at me, but I  ignored it.

"Nikshant, if you treat my daughter badly in any way, there will be no one worse than me," Mom warned him.

"No, Mom, I could never treat my wife badly," he said.

Wow, what a big liar! If only Mom knew, it's not just bad treatmentโ€”he behaves far worse.

"Yes, Mom, he never treats me badly," I said, though I was clearly taunting him, and he shot me a deadly glare, knowing exactly what I meant.

"Shall we go now, wifey? We're getting late," he said, and I nodded.

"All of you, take care of yourselves. Dadi, make sure to take your medicine on time. Aahana di, avoid eating too much junk foodโ€”itโ€™s not good for your health. And Mom, donโ€™t overwork yourself. There are maids at home, so ask them if you need anything," I said.

"Donโ€™t worry, my doctor bhabhi, I wonโ€™t eat junk food, and Iโ€™ll take care of everyone. You just focus on enjoying your honeymoon," Aahana di teased me, making my cheeks flush. But I bit the inside of my cheek to hide it.

I hugged everyone and said goodbye.

I sat in the back seat of the car as he opened the door and sat beside me.

"Listen, Mrs. Kapoor," my husband said, and I looked at him.

"Nothing will ever happen between us, and nothing can. So, drop any hopes you have. Just because weโ€™re going on a honeymoon doesnโ€™t mean I consider you my wife. Iโ€™m only going for Dadiโ€™s sake, so donโ€™t expect anything from me on this goddamn honeymoon," he said rudely.

I donโ€™t know why, but it hurt. I know I shouldnโ€™t have any hope in my heart, but when does the heart ever listen to us?

"I know I shouldnโ€™t have any expectations from this marriage, and I donโ€™t have any expectations from you. I know that nothing can ever happen between us," I said, and though I tried to stay strong, my heart unknowingly ached as I spoke. He didnโ€™t say anything further and immersed himself in his laptop.

I looked out the window as the wind gently touched my face.

Every time, I think maybe I can make this marriage work, but when itโ€™s one-sided, nothing happens. A husband and wifeโ€™s relationship needs both to work together.

To move a relationship forward, itโ€™s important to communicate, to trust, and to respect each other. But he never respects me, nor does he say anything to me unless itโ€™s work-related. And as for trust, I donโ€™t even know if he trusts me at all.

He treats me the worst, yet my heart still wants to be with him every moment, every second.

I know that the way I feel for him, I shouldnโ€™t feel, because it wonโ€™t be good for me or for him. In the end, it will only bring us pain, because I will never be able to give him what a wife should give her husband. Even though he doesnโ€™t want anything from me, after all, he's still a man, and men have their needs.

This will only bring us pain, immense pain.

A lone tear escaped from my eyes, and I quickly shut my eyes.

"Donโ€™t cry, Aaravi, donโ€™t cry. They donโ€™t deserve your tears," I sighed and opened my eyes.

I focused on the road again, but my brows furrowed. I looked at him.

"This isnโ€™t the way to the airport," I frowned at him.

"I know," he said, his gaze still fixed on his laptop.

Is he kidnapping me? Geez, Aaravi, what are you thinking? Why would he kidnap you, youโ€™re his wife.

"Stop using your little brain. I havenโ€™t kidnapped you, weโ€™re just going to my office," he said, typing something on his laptop.

My eyes widenedโ€”did I say that out loud?

"No, you didnโ€™t say it out loud, but your face gave it all away," he said.

Itโ€™s embarrassingโ€”I can tell my face must be red.

Soon, our car stopped in front of his office, and we got out.

I lifted my head and looked up at the building.

I think itโ€™s probably a 39-40 story building.

"Itโ€™s a 60-story building. Now come with me," he said and started walking.

How did he read my mind? Is my husband some kind of mind reader?

I followed him inside the office and looked around. There was no one here since it was Saturday. We got into the elevator, and he pressed the button for the top floor. When the elevator doors opened, we got off and followed him.

"We have to climb the stairs now," he said, and I nodded.

Soon, we reached the terrace, and I saw a chopper.

So, weโ€™re going in his chopper.

I wonโ€™t lieโ€”Iโ€™m really excited.

A pilot came and stood in front of us.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Kapoor," the pilot said, extending his hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Bisht," my husband said coldly.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Kapoor," Mr. Bisht said, extending his hand for a handshake. I hesitated to offer my hand, as Iโ€™m not comfortable with any man except for Veer Bhaiya.

"And your husband," my subconscious mocked me.

"Shut up," I muttered.

"Excuse us, Mr. Bisht," my husband said, taking my hand in his and leading me toward the chopper. I think he noticed my discomfort.

"Thank you," I said.

"For what?" he asked.

"Nothing," I murmured.

I sat in the chopper, and we buckled our seatbelts as it soared into the sky.

I looked down from the chopper, and my breath hitched.

What would happen if I fell?

"Donโ€™t look down, or youโ€™ll get even more scared," he raps out.

"If you want to sleep, you can, because it will take us 10 hours to reach," he said, and I nodded, closing my eyes. Soon, sleep engulfed me.

"Mrs. Kapoor, wake up. Mr. Kapoor," someone shook me gently. I slowly opened my eyes, and my eyes widened when I saw that my head was leaning against his chest, making my heart skip a beat.

I quickly composed myself and sat up straight.

"Now, eat the food," he said, handing me a meal. I took it from his hand and started eating. After finishing, I looked outsideโ€”it seemed to be nighttime.

"How much longer will it take to reach?" I asked him.

"Probably by tomorrow morning," he said, and I nodded.

The night weather was beautiful, with the stars shining and the moon smiling.

A yawn escaped my mouth, and soon, I fell asleep again.

I opened my eyes and looked around. We still havenโ€™t arrived.

I glanced at him; he was busy doing something on his laptop. Didnโ€™t he sleep last night?

"Didnโ€™t you sleep at all last night?" I asked, and he finally looked at me.

"No, someone needed to stay awake," he said, and I nodded.

"Hereโ€™s your breakfast," he said.

"But I havenโ€™t brushed my teeth, so how can I eat?" I asked.

"Skipping brushing for one day wonโ€™t hurt," he said. I took the bread from him and started eating.

"How much longer until we reach?" I asked while munching on the bread.

"One hour," he replied, and I nodded. I drank the water he handed me and set the bottle aside.

Itโ€™s so boringโ€”Iโ€™ve been sitting here for nine hours, and my legs are starting to ache.

I canโ€™t even use my phone because I stuffed it in my luggage.

I saw him putting on a bag. Why is he wearing a bag?

"Want to experience something adventurous, wifey?" he asked with a mischievous smile, which made me uneasy. I was about to say something, but what he did next was completely unexpected.

He just pushed me out of the chopper! I closed my eyes in fear.

Did my husband want to kill me? Is this why he was so eager?

Soon, I felt a hand tightly grip my waist. I knew it was him. I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly as a sob escaped my lips.

"If you want to kill me, you didnโ€™t have to bring me this far. You could have killed me in India. I donโ€™t want to die in another country, I was born in India, and I want to die in India too," I said, clutching his neck tightly.

"Hey, hey, Aaravi, donโ€™t cry. I didnโ€™t push you to kill you. See, weโ€™re going down safely," he said, but my sobs didnโ€™t stop.

"I never should have come. Please, I just want to go home," I sobbed.

"SHUT UP AND OPEN YOUR EYES!" he shouted, and I flinched, quickly opening my eyes. I saw his face so close to mine that I could feel his breath on my face.

"Look into my eyes, hmm? Nothing will happen, just look into my eyes," he said, and I found myself gazing into his hazel green eyes, getting lost in them.

As I looked into his eyes, all my fear seemed to disappear. I felt a sense of relief and peace, like all my worries were being squeezed out of me.

"See, weโ€™re here," he said, and I realized we had already landed. He had also released his hold on my waist.

I looked around, frowning.

"This isnโ€™t Singapore, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, this isnโ€™t Singapore. Weโ€™re in Greece," he said, and my eyes widened in shock.

This can be a coincidence.

"But we were supposed to go to Singapore, right?" I asked him.

"Yeah, but I changed it at the last minute," he replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because Iโ€™ve been to Singapore too many times, and I didnโ€™t feel like going there again, so I changed it," he said.

"But why Greece?" I asked again.

"Weโ€™re talking too much, arenโ€™t we?" he said, and I sighed because I knew he would never give me a real answer.

Greece has always been my dream destination, a place I wanted to visit but never could. Even if itโ€™s just a coincidence, my dream has finally come true.

I looked around, and a big smile appeared on my face as I saw the beach.

"Now let's go," he said, holding my hand.

Soon, we reached a house and went inside.

"You can rest now," he said, and I nodded.

I took my luggage, grabbed my phone, and went out to the balcony.

The view was breathtaking.

I quickly took a photo and sent it to Dadi, Mom, Aahana, and Shreya.

Hello loves,

Here is the chapter.

Do you guys really think that Greece was a coincidence, or was it all part of Nikshantโ€™s plan?

Okay, so here is the last update for this month. My exams will start on September 19th and finish on October 3rd, so I need to prepare myself.
