โ–ฌโ–ฌ one; the dementor attack.
โ‹†.๏ฝก.:* โ˜†:**:.

THE SUN WAS BURNING AGAINST HIS PALE NECK BUT HE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT MOVING HIMSELF AWAY FROM THE SWING. He remained swinging back and forth in minimum movements while smiling seeing a mother's kind words to her children. It's a beautiful wonder how such a small gesture can brighten his mood and help him run away from the mess inside his head, just for a moment.

"He squealed like a pig, didn't he?" In the distance, he could hear boys chatter and scornfully laugh with each other, and not to his surprise he raised his head to meet five boys and the big one in the middle looked at him as he always had doneโ€”with a disgusted glare.

"Hey, Big D. Beat up another ten-years-old?"

"This one deserved it."

"Five against one, very brave," said Harry glancing at the skinny guys behind his cousin.

"Well, you're one to talk. Moaning in your sleep every night? At least I'm not afraid of my pillow." They laughed at everything Dudley said while Harry only stared at them, wishing to be left alone.

"'Don't kill Cedric.' Who's Cedric, your boyfriend?"

"Shut up," the boy said, folding the newspaper and dropping it under the swing. It burned in his chest to hear someone disrespect Cedric Diggory like that.

"'He's going to kill me, Mum.' Where is your mum? Where is your mum, Potter?" A lump in his throat was the only thing stopping him from screaming and shouting nasty words to his mean cousin. "She dead? Is she a dead Pottโ€”?"

And without a word he fought against his better judgment and his feet carried him closer to Dudley and his right hand had his wand attached to the boy's invisible jaw. For a split second, they all seemed shocked and almost scared, but a scornful laugh came from the boys behind them just seconds later.

But Harry remained close to Dudley's confused face. However, the laughter died out to nervous chuckles as something in the wind changed. As the sun was covered by unusually dark clouds, and the wind turned out of nowhere and hushed bushes around and made the swings swing by themselves. The four teenagers spared no second to wait for their fifth member and ran away.

"What are you doing?" Dudley spat. He didn't dare to move away even if Harry lowered his wand into the side of his jeans.

"I'm not doing anything."

They sprinted down the hill, even if it seemed to be just a storm comingโ€”even the muggle-born boy could feel the odd feeling that came with the raindrops and coldness. It was complete silence as they entered a tunnel under the highway that thundered by cars and trucks. They both were exhaling unevenly trying to catch their breath, but Harry was at the same time looking from one end of the tunnel to the other. Something was there, something that didn't want him or Dudle any good.

One breath echoed between the walls while nothing happened. A second breath. A third breath. Cutting off his counting a cloaked black figure flew inside the tunnel from above and it grabbed his neck and pushed him to the wall, his feet dangling a few feet above the ground.

The creature without a face that Harry had met several times in earlier years at Hogwarts started to drain his brain from happiness. In the corner of his eyes, he caught another dementor over a paralyzed Dudley.

Harry desperately tried to fight against the horrid creature while not losing all the air from his lungs, but he could start to feel the blood drain from his face. He finally got a grip around his wand and shot it up between him and the dementor, shouting quickly the spell, "Expecto Patronum!"

The cloud of black disappeared out from the tunnel and left Harry to send his patronum at the other one that let out a high-pitched squeal as the lightness pushed it out and eventually returned to the stormy clouds.

Harry Potter ignored the fact that the trembling boy dressed in hip-hop clothes had bullied him and made fun of his mother and best friend's brother, he still ran to his side and thought about how to save him. As silence returned Harry noticed the sound of heels clicking against the stone ground, and it echoed as a small lady came into the tunnel to see Harry hiding the wand in his pocket.

"Mrs. Figg," he stated and recognized her from being their neighbor.

"Don't put away your wand, Harry." He furrowed his eyebrows as he was surprised that she knew. "They might come back."

The heavy Dudley could barely blink as Harry helped him limp back to Privet Drive.

"Dementors in Little Whinging, whatever next? Whole world's gone topsy-turvy," she said. The old lady was dressed in a raincoat with a matching hat and high pink rain boots.

"I don't understand. How do you know?" Harry frowned.

"Dumbledore asked me to keep an eye on you."

"โ€”Dumbledore asked you? You know Dumbledore?"

Mrs. Figg let out a sigh and nodded, "After You-Know-Who killed that poor Diggory boy last year. . . did you expect him to let you go wandering on your own?" She glanced at Harry who just seemed unknowing as he groaning because of Dudley's heavy body leaning onto him. "Good Lord, boy. They told me you were intelligent. Now, get inside and stay there. Expect someone will be in touch soon."

"Whatever happens, stay inside!" She said as they returned to their house.

Inside one of many identical houses at Privet Drive, Mr. and Mrs. Dursley tried to do the best to avoid the heat. At the sight of her son, Petunia gasped and brought him to the couch quickly.

"Vernon, come quick. We're going to have to take him to a hospital."

"Who did this to you, boy?" Dudley didn't move his eyes from the floor but his shaky hand pointed at Harry who awkwardly stood opposite the room. "Happy, are we, now? You've finally done it. You've finally driven him loopyโ€”"

"Vernon, don't say that!"

"Well, just look at him, Petunia. Our boy has gone jumpy." The broad man looked at Harry, and he could imagine smoke come out of Vernon's ears as his face got red out of anger. "I've reached my limit, do you hear? This is the last I'm gonna take of you and your nonsenseโ€”"

A gray owl interrupted the man by flying through the open glass door beside Harry. It dropped a beige envelope on the couch and the owl settled on the backrest. As silence filled the room the letter vibrated before lifting into the air, it's purple sigil turned into lips and two holes in the paper formed eyes. The owl flew out when the letter cleared her throat.

"Dear Mr. Potter," it spoke. "The Ministry has received intelligence that at 6:23 this evening. . . you performed the Patronus Charm in the presence of a Muggle. As a clear violation of the Decree for the ReasonableRestriction of Underage Sorcery. . ." As the paper envelope flew closer and closer to him he could feel his face become paler and paler. ". . .You are hereby expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hoping you are well, Mafalda Hopkirk."

โ€”

Like usual Harry woke up abruptly after he had fallen asleep. Sometimes he was panting and sweating but not this time. While his eyes were closed flashes from last year had sneaked their way to his dreams again, but he didn't wake up stuttering or trembling.

A rattling sound from outside his bedroom door drew his attention towards it. The key was still in the lock after he had locked it a few hours ago, but it was now slowly unlocking itself. He stood up and grabbed his wand preparing for the absolute worst, even imaging the Dark Lord himself be on the other side of the wall.

The door opened up and the Lumos spelled brightened up his room. When his eyes adjusted he recognized a familiar face among the people pressed together by the entrance. "Professor Moody," Harry said with a smile. "What are you doing here?"

"Rescuing you, of course," the man responded. Harry smiled to the others as well, a woman with purple hair that held a wand with the light, a tall man with dark skin dressed in blue clothing. Behind them, there was also an older woman with dark brown hair and an old man in gray wizard clothes.

"But where are we going?" Harry asked as they all walked down the stairs and out of the small house. "The letter said I've been expelled."

"You haven't been. Not yet," Moddy said. "Kingsley, you take point."

"But the letter said. . ."

"Dumbledore persuaded the minister to suspend your expulsion pending a formal hearing," the black man, Kingsley, explained for Harry.

"A hearing?" Kinglsey (just like the others) looked around like they were being chased and only responded to the boy with a nod.

"Don't worry. We'll explain everything when we get back to headquarters," the lavender woman said.

"Not here, Nymphadora."

"Don't call me Nymphadora," the color of her faded into red, making Harry frown but she shook her head and returned to her first appearance.

"Stay in formation, everyone. Don'tbreak ranks if one of us is killed," Moody said before their brooms came out from thin air. Harry got a hold of his and they were quickly off into the sky.

โ€”

"Come on, you, around the corner."

They landed in a private garden in London, Harry could tell by the tall iron fence around it and the locked gate they walked out of. But neither of them seemed to worry about that so he didn't either. They walked out on the street and stood in front of a boring looking townhouse. Professor Moody hit his stick in the ground three times very slowly.

The townhouses began shaking, but no one inside paid attention to it, and Harry was admiring how an identical house appeared between the two that had been wall to wall against each other.

"In you go, son," Moody said breaking the boy out of his gaze. Harry nodded and gulped before walking up the stairs to the front door. The number '12' was glued on the black door.

A long hall awaited him as he walked through the door. The walls were roughy painted purple, and the small cracks in the paint gave the house old age away. It was dusty. When Moody and the others walked past him he began to hear chatter coming from the end of the hall. Nymphadora smiled at him as she walked past him, also almost stumbling over a box but quickly collecting herself.

They disappeared through a door past the staircase and as they cleared out in the room Harry met eyes with Sirius Black. They both smiled widely but Mrs. Weasley stood in between them and shut the door so she was alone with him in the hall. "Harry," she beamed and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Mrs. Weasley."

"Heavens, you're all right. Bit peaky, but I'm afraid dinner will wait until after the meeting's finished." He was about to speak up but she cut him off, "No time to explain. Straight upstairs, first door on the left."

He shrugged off the creepy creature he had walked past on his way up as Hermione jumped at him as soon as he opened the door. "Oh, Harry. Are you all right?" He nodded and she went on, "We overheard them talking about the Dementor attack. You must tell us everything."

"Let the man breathe, Hermione," Ronald nervously chuckled and dug his hands into his jean pockets.

"And this hearing at theMinistry. It's just outrageous.I've looked it up. They simply can't expel you. It's completely unfair," Hermione rambled.

Harry walked past them to the other side of the bed in the middle of the small room and mumbled, "Yeah. There's a lot of that going 'round at the moment. So, what is this place?"

"It's headquarters," said Ron.

"Of the Order of the Phoenix. It's a secret society. Dumbledore formed it back when they fought You-Know-Who."

"Couldn't have put any of this in a letter, I suppose?I've gone all summer without a scrap of news," Harry then said, looking rather hurt. Not only had his summer been filled with nightmares and constant worry for one of his best friends (who is still was wondering where she was) but that his friends hadn't sent him anything.

"We wanted to write, mate," Ron said softly.

"Really, we did. Only. . ." Hermione hesitated.

"Only what?"

"Only Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you anything."

"Dumbledore said that? But why would he keep me in the dark? Maybe I could help.I'm the one who saw Voldemort return, the one who fought him, who saw Cedric Diggory get killed." Then it went very silent. Hermione flinched at the memory of what had gone down and both boys noticed it, but no one wanted to speak knowing they couldn't ease hers or their own minds.

"Harry."

"Thought we heard your dulcet tones." He jumped slightly as the two twins jumped out behind him from nowhere.

"Don't bottle it up, though, mate."

"Let it out." The twins settled on the bed by the window.

"If you're all done shouting. . ."

"Do you wanna hear something a little more interesting?"

โ–ฌโ–ฌโ–ฌโ–ฌ author's note โ–ฌโ–ฌโ–ฌโ–ฌ

first chapter of Unwanted Legacy 2! i've gotten so much support on the first book and i know y'all been waiting so extremely long for the sequel, so here it is.

i just have to say that it takes a lot of time to write a chapter, one) because i have to have the movie beside me to make sure i mix the movie plot with my own and two) because i have these special events that i want to happen in this book but i have to build them up very slowly. so yeah, it's a lot of planning. so the chapters will have at least one week's space. also, i probably won't include everything from the movie or put in so much detail because i'm assuming y'all seen the movie (also i'm lazy).

thanks again for your love on the first one and i hope this sequel will pay up to your expectations! i love you all and hope ur well, staying inside and safe, washing ur hands and such. sending lots of love. <3

stay tuned, thank you!
