The first thing you heard in the morning was not the alarm of your phone, but the sound of screaming outside and it was confusing to realize it was calling for help.

In addition to it, why are you hearing laughters from a small distance from outside your tent?

Curious to see what was going on this early, you slip on your shoes and wore a large shirt over a black leggings. Still yawning, the sun has hardly come yet, so it gives the sky a bluish color with the hint of orange slowly sipping through the clouds above your head.

It says 5:45 am from the time in your phone screen by the instant you step out of your tent.

You make your way to the lake where the screaming is coming from, and that's when you realized why there's so many laughter in the air.

It was as if half the population of the academy had come to the edge of the lake. They watched as Jay floats in an inflatable mattress in the middle of what must be deep waters. You'd never seen a boy freaks out madly and trying to balance, so he wouldn't sink.

This Jay was so different from the shameless flirt you were used to.

But who did this to him? Can he not swim for his life?

"What's he doing there?", you asked to the other boys when you find the rest of them hiding behind the bushes.

Sunghoon actually smiles upon receiving your gaze, but it was so abnormal for you that you turn next to Huening Kai. He just shrugs as he gestured to Jake who is wearing an undeniable satisfied smirk on his face.

The questions in your mind has been answered.

"What did he do to you?", you asked again. Your eyes wandering near the cafeteria where the bedrooms for the teachers and the lights there is still off.

They are probably still sleeping, unaware that one of their students is praying for his life.

"My little Ni-ki told me that he spotted Jay kissing you yesterday, so I just had to teach him a lesson", Jake says, looking so proud of his work and then watch Jay who is trying to paddle to the shore with his hands.

He looks so stupid there especially when he was screaming more for Jungwon who was at the shore but the kid is just laughing at his miserable situation.

"And your point is?", you asked, frowning at the feeling of Sunghoon's gaze. He was at it again.

"Well", Jake crouched down to pick up a stone and throwing it at Jay who manage to dodged it which is rather a shame, "I just wanted you for myself, so why not?"

The response he got was only your back turning on him as you decided to not your waste time on their useless fight for dominance over you. To be clear, nobody will win when there's no girl to fight for.

What you mean is, they'll graduate out of Bighit Academy without earning anything from you.

Part way through your advances for your tent, a rather grating voice began to whisper to another grating voice. You let out an irritated sigh, knowing exactly whose voices it was from.

"Do you think it's her first kiss?", Huening Kai was saying to what you can only pinpoint as the ice skater.

"With that kind of face that was snarling at me all the time, it would not be impossible", Sunghoon replied, his tone suggesting that he was laughing at your cirmcumstances.

You purse your lips looking away from the stones down your feet, so you might not think of throwing it to a certain guy. He was really asking for your declaration of war against him.

"But how can Jay stand her? I thought he had better taste than that", Sunghoon repeated, more louder this time for you to hear.

When his laughters continued with Huening Kai realizing you were slowly creeping behind the unknowing Sunghoon, you were unable to stop yourself as you hit him square in the head.

"Park Sunghoon", you muttered darkly when he threw you a glare as he rubbed on the painful spot that you grant him, "Are you really that desperate to put yourself in my bad side?"

"What the fuck is your problem?", he hissed back, standing up to tower over you.

"Tell that to yourself who keeps on sniding behind my back", you exclaimed, risking a glance to see that the half of Jay's audience had turned in your direction.

But you return to Sunghoon whose stance was up for a fight, "What?"

"You're idiotic attitude is really impresssing me. I mean really, there's hardly going to be a question about why your acting like this?", you then smirked up to him. "You're making it look like you were seeking for my attention, if yes, then just say so but let's be clear here"

He was rolling his eyes while you ended your speech.

"I hate your guts and so what if that's my first kiss? Why are you being so pressed about it?"

His face turned hard as he opened and closed his mouth repeatedly, looking for something to say. He looked back at Jake who stayed silent until he leans down and picks up a huge rock before throwing it at Jay.

Jay jumps out of the way, falling straight into the water with a splash.

You turned away from the trouble that wasn't yours to worry about as the last glimpse you have is this Jungwon and Ni-ki as they starts to swim as fast as they can to get to Jay.

As you proceed to get back at the tents, your eyes clashes with Sunghoon which really should have been facing the lake. In fact, all you should have been able to see him watching Jay.

Glancing away from him, you picked up on your walking pace again. It was just a coincidence.

After the hilarious incident of Jay in the water, everyone was definitely awake now and so Jackson told you all to take a shower as the start of the day.

Jake made sure that nobody is on the bathroom stalls to make sure that you showered alone and he stood by the door guarding it, to the point of forcing one guy to pee in the bushes instead.

The first counselor you met next is Dahyun calling you all up to the cafeteria.

Jackson steps up to talk again in your table, "Right guys, the first activity is a full day hike that goes up to the top of the mountain and there were signs to guide you there. Since it's leadership and teamwork camp, we'll be waiting for you down here to see who came first and last. Is that clear?"

Both Jay and Sunghoon groans at the thought of hiking all day while Jake and Huening Kai is beaming, almost blasting your mood with their excited smiles.

"Go put on your jacket and walking shoes after this meal", Dahyun adds as you finally let out a smile when the breakfast was served.

The egg drop soup was smelling so heavenly to your noise and you were slurping it happily when you looked around your classmates then met his gaze. Your eyes narrowed in pure instinct.

This was the second time that Sunghoon had been watching you not so subtly. There was definitely something fishy going on. But from the look in his eyes, you were having a hard time if it was malicious or not.

You cocked an eyebrow in his direction, challenging him to look away - you wouldn't be the first to look away this time. Never would you back out in a stare down.

Sunghoon, instead of looking away from you, continued to watch. A pure mocking smirk curled up in his lips when the bowl of soup nearly slipped out of your hands.

You glared at him - the ice skater was looking so amused.

A tap on your shoulder broke your determination to not be the first to look away. You looked away from Sunghoon and glanced over to your shoulder to meet the eyes of Sim Jaeyun.

He gave you a smile when he managed to fit himself beside you in the long seat, his shoulder brushing against yours.

"Jay was now telling his sob story to his bestfriend, so that's why he's not here", he said, his voice beside your ear so you could hear him over the deafening noises of the the whole cafeteria.

When you tried to cover your ear from the touch of his breath, Jake gave you a small laugh before reaching something from his tray and placed a steaming hot choco to yours.

"Thank you", is all you can say, not ready to say no when it comes to things like this especially when he added a sandwich on top of that.

"You're so cute when you're getting shy", Jake said as he helped you unwrap the sandwich.

An instant strike of happiness covered as you eat it and you looked down at the table, trying to hide how bashful you were getting from his sweetness. If this continues, he might know a way to win your heart.

Food is the only answer, after all.

Jake spoke to you throughout the remainder of breakfast but all you could concentrate on was the feeling of Sunghoon's eyes on the side of your face.

One more time and you'll drag him somewhere to question on why the hell he is doing it.
