For all the goals the hike has to stand for, hearing that some misogynistic scum screams at the peak of how he finally break up from a rather quite unexciting relationship and then it reached you because he had no sex at all in one week from that poor girl.

That's when your mood began to slide down from there to no good.

And now, as you sat on a log by the fire after the morning activities, you couldn't help but watch over the boys passing by in pure hatred and you surely created a view for them to see.

They were all smiling or even joking a little to themselves as they took turns complaining about their exes's shortcomings to their pathetic needs. Although, their smiles did falter a little from the sight of you before they took off.

But what did the view of your eyes brought you next had you narrowing your eyes as it flickered between Jay and Jungwon. You couldn't help but scoff of how he must be tainting the boy's good-natured attitude from the look in his face.

Silently, without needing to say anything, you stood up from your seat and seek to find Dahyun instead in case she needed help or that she's nice to talk with for a girl.

But before you could go far, or finish dodging around the pair who comes to a stand still, you found yourself looking up to a contemplative eyes when Jay intentionally stepped on the way.

"Why are you leaving so early?", he asked, hands in the pocket of his jacket and smiling that stupid smile that so many girls would gushed over.

You watched as he motioned for Jungwon to leave, but he continued to wait for him.

Returning your attention once more to Jay, you demanded, "Are you that stupid not to get the hint?"

He wasn't swayed by the barb of your voice. Instead, he smiled even wider, tilting his head slightly as he peered down at you, "I never listened to anyone. I do what I want"

You scoffed aloud, realizing that like to Jake, you would be getting nowhere with him. As if he could guess what your next step was, Jay stepped once more to block your path and with Jungwon chuckling from the side, you felt like you were being fooled here.

Irritation fills you inside when your eyes flickered to his with a glare that he simply returned with a feigned look of innocence.

"Stick around a bit longer. I promise I won't keep you long", he said at last.

"Can we cut this short already?", you asked, wondering just what his issue was, "Get to the point, Jay"

For the first time, his smile disappeared as he considered you carefully.

You met his eyes without shying away as he says, "Did Jake said something to you about me being a playboy?"

"Well, it's what you do, isn't it?", you said simply. He watched like he could not begin to understand what you were saying, "Come on, that pull you move on me in the first day and the first night here? That's you trying to get to me"

"And if that fails, I'm sure you'll be one of those boys to give sweet words to girls to make the break up as painless as possible"

Jay's brows pulled together as if you were the one not making sense, "What are you saying?"

"Because it's a lie", you continued as his mouth parted as if he wanted to convince you otherwise, "Every fucking relationship at this age wasn't even real. All of it was just for the sake of shouting to everybody that getting with somebody is your way to hide how lonely you are inside"

"I disagree-"

"Why am I not surprised?", you didn't even want to hear it from him but he's not letting you leave easily.

"I disagree", he said firmly, "you made it sound like every people is the same. Yes, maybe some are looking for love because they're alone but some finds it in the right time even at this age"

"Please don't shield yourself behind your hopeless romantic ass because you're not", you scoffed as you didn't comment on the way he reacted to hearing your disdain.

"You're using love as a scapegoat for something that's not even deep and serious as it was. God, you're just all a cowards. The lot of you"

Jay watched you in unabashed surprise, waiting in silence as if waiting for you to take your words back. But you refused to do so. Just because some people decided to shield him from the truth - you weren't going to do the same.

Not when the only important person in your life had been hurt by that belief of hers about love.

You cast an unimpressed look at Jungwon who continued to hover beside him, "Keep your friend away from me", you pointed a finger at him to get it.

Satisfied that Jay at least wasn't going to say something that would extend the conversation, you left them both far behind and walked the opposite direction. The agenda of finding Dahyun was now dismissed in your mind.

If Park Jay really thought himself as a hopeless romantic, he'd learned to stay away from now on like a man.

Love at this age, what bullshit is that?, you scoffed silently.

Wanting to not see any of the boys from your group, it found you wandering so far from the tents and even if you've already heard the teachers or counsellors calling for everyone now to get in their sleeping bag to rest, you stayed out late there until all you can hear is the crickets around this part.

Even though you were fully covered with your jacket, you feel like an ice was mixed in the breeze fluttering by and your hands are so cold they have gone numb and you can feel your whole body shivering with your teeth chattering.

The weather at night in this countryside is such a drastic change compared to the city but you still prefer the cold over the hot.

It had been mostly present to your home, at the dining table, at the room of your mom and sometimes even in her old car.

She already removed the last remnant of the cold since you convinced not to put it on display from her finger.

"Y/N?", you heard someone whispers from behind, and you turn around in time to see a thick blanket going around you to cover your body, "Why are you out here in the cold?"

"I want to be away from everyone"

Jake stays silent for a while and you both just stay still in the darkness, hidden by the trees for everyone else not to see. You try to stop shivering before him but it's harder than it looks.

Not a second had passed, you hear something being unzipped before he says, "Here, let's exchange. I'll have your blanket and you'll have my sleeping bag"

"How can you still act like this when I have been a bitch to you earlier?", you say, voicing out the thoughts that have been on your mind since your confrontation with the three of them.

"Of course I'll understand.. I got ahead of myself, so that's why you reacted naturally like that", he whispers, and you can tell that he is genuinely sincere.

"Let me take that then", you say, passing the blanket over to his hand and entered the open sleeping bag before he zips it up, letting you enjoy the warmth inside.

You hate when everything goes too fast from something because it wasn't too long lasting like the products were made. But maybe you can built something with Jake?

Well, you know, to earn him as the friend and he's this sweet to be single out among the disagreeable boys - it's still safe to not let him get too close.

"I'm sorry about all of it. I'm fine with being friends for now, but that's not going to stop me from liking you", Jake went to explain as he laid beside you in the grass.

"Have you never had a girlfriend at all?", you asked, closing your eyes inside the sleeping bag.

He shook his head, chuckling a little, "I've never had a girlfriend before. Always flirting to someone that I find cute, but it never amounts to anything"

You stay quiet for a moment and he lie in silence, waiting for you to answer. But you don't have one, if anything, you'd rather not answer him at all.

"And?", you just came up with that after a long while.

That's why you were never a good conversationalist, your mom used to say.

"I have a question first. Why does it look like you don't want to fall in love with any of us?", he asked seriously.

Considering him for a moment, you bit your tounge. Only for a moment. And then you breathed out sharply"

"Easy", you began, "I don't want my happiness to defend on only one person. I don't want to stay up late wondering whether he is thinking about me or not. I don't want to cry over someone who may not care"

He gave you a curious look as he prompted, "And?"

"I don't want to wait for who knows how long if he'll still come or not", you bit your lip as you tried to sound neutral.

"Most importantly, I don't want to give anyone the power to destroy me until I was unrecognizable even to myself that I affected even the ones around me"

"That's kind of heavy", Jake commented quietly but there is a hint of uncertainty to his words.

Without another word, you removed yourself from his sleeping bag and headed in the direction of your tent.

This was a strange, strange day and night in the camp.

Keep on the look out for Y/N's dialogue. It's the key to her personality.
