Foundation Day from the way the others talk about it sounds an enjoyable day for everyone.

Everywhere you go to the Academy, you can hear them making it sound like it would be the biggest event of the year. There was no even complaints when all the faculty staffs asked the students help in the preparation of the booths.

The people they even payed to fix the decorations of the school colors around the main yard is walking around in big numbers and they were made to hang around a large tarpaulin of Namjoon's group visiting in the last day along the girl group named Gfriend.

On the way to help your classmates in your classroom, you witnessed so many things that you were not used to. There's Jungwon, Sunoo and Niki giving you a sample of their toy products from their booths.

The guys like Yeonjun and Soobin is joining forced with this Taehyun and Beomgyu is selling their different breads at hand.

The one who asked for your number named JJ with his section literally went all out with their arcade machines in their booth.

But what made you laugh the most is the thirteen guys from the year ahead of you, it looks like the one who keeps singing from the center of them is forcing the others to be his backup dancers.

Their theme is like a music show and their booth name is Seungkwan and his friends.

There is also the ones from the alumnis who went to visit and joins the festivity by giving out free shirts or anything whatsoever you really accepted once they came onto you.

"You can have it all, pretty lady", one of them says in his sweet voice, but he sounded so nice and you can see his name from his visitor's Id.

Hwang Minhyun, you'll certainly remember that along his gentlemanly face.

The gift pack they give you is full of skin care, and a gift card from Nature's Republic which you would just give away to Sunoo, since you know how that boy is addicted to keep his skin pretty as his face.

By the time you reached the classroom, your eyes were already filled with so much amazement from this school especially after seeing the gates were open up for anyone who wanted to enjoy the fair.

And yet all the fun was inside the room for real at the sight of your five classmates standing around in their maid outfits.

"Oh my god, what's with the faces?", you asked, but was already chuckling when they all turned around to face you.

Their goal is to make you feel guilty, but the room was instantly filled with your laughters. How can you stop it? Anyone would not be able to stop themselves at how their appearances now can put giggles in their faces.

"At least, I can be a cute rabbit myself", Kai claimed from in front of the mirror they brought, his hand booping the cute tail in his skirtt.

"Does lion really suits me?", Leo asked from his seat, still fixing the headband on top of his hair.

He was about to ask more questions from you when he stopped by the form of Jay who appears to be a sad black cat from the window seat.

Once he spotted you, he pointed to himself, "Who the hell made you think that I would be a cute black kitten?", he demanded, letting out a gasp as Huening Kai spanked him in the butt, "What was that for?!"

As the two of them went into a petty argument over how Jay's big ass looks sexy in the skirt, you turn your attention next to Jake the puppy maid who was helping Sunghoon put on the head of his penguin costume in the side.

After losing the rock, paper and scissors game, he was still too happy not to wear a skirt in exchange for the steaming hot costume of a penguin, at least the inside of it will make you feel constantly like you were inside a boiler.

"Do I look cute in this?", Jake asks, leaving for Sunghoon's penguin's head to wobble around.

He is now doing a pose of a dog with his tounge hanging from the side of his mouth.

"You look ridiculous like that", you decided to be honest, but it was still cute somehow.

Jake flushed, and grew embarassed before fixing himself with a pout. If only you have more time, you would have said that he looks cute however pose he do since it's him. He will never look ugly even if he tried to.

Turning next to Sunghoon who was struggling with his heavy costume's head, you raised your hand, settling it atop his in order to help him fix it in place.

You didn't expect for him to hold it there for long that you have to clear your throat for him to remove it.

"Will you be attending the ceremony later with us?", he asked, his voice sounding distant because of the costume.

"I'll be helping Mrs. Nam at the backstage", you lied through your tounge.

It had become an easy job now even if they were getting closer to your walls. There's one they shouldn't know about you, and it's your dad being here today.

"Why? The spokeperson is an alumni here, and his story is actually inspirational", Jake said, hearing your conversation with Sunghoon.

"How inspirational?", you asked, and thankful that there wasn't a bite of bitterness in your tone.

Jake thought about it for a second, as if trying to remember the anecdote of Mr Hwang, not knowing a part of his past is standing in front of him.

The only ones who knew about your dad is Heeseung and Sunoo with the addition of Jay.

Although you never mentioned to Jay as to who he is or else, he'll be familiar with him.

Actually, all of them will be familiar with your dad in sight.

"From what I heard about my dad, he had become disowned by his parents because of associating himself with an unacceptable woman", Jake started, tapping a finger from under his chin.

The story wasn't still finished and yet if he must know, you were already aware at the ending.

"Then years later, after a separation with her, he married another and thus, got all his rights back to his properties that he inherited from his parents", Jake added, his tone made it like it was the real ending.

The real ending is that a hateful man for you leaving a mother and a daughter behind on their own.

"Wait.. guys, you needed to go now at the auditorium, it's time for that person's speech", you said, relying on your good acting skills to not show any signs.

If the boys noticed you were suddenly rushing them out, they didn't pointed it out and they were much concern over the growing cackles and sniggers outside the room in the hallway.

It could've been funny for you as it was all your ideas.

But the unsettling feelings from the knowledge that he was here now, maybe busy talking to Mrs. Nam at the moment, stops you from having fun.

What if he asked her where you are?

The thing you feared the most is, what if he asked to see your mom?

You will not allow him, never in your life again would you let him leave her into pieces.

No apologies would even be accepted.

From what it looks like in what should've been an enjoyable day, trying to avoid the auditorium is not much of an option.

Mr. Kang with his fiendish existence in your life, had caught you cleaning the clutter of mess in the room and for him, even you should go there, saying it was quite suspicious for you to stay in the classroom.

For you to save face in the teachers before he went around telling his suspicion about you, you find yourself walking behind him and was dreading the destination.

It hadn't stopped you though, from cursing him in your head and wishing that one day, you'll put him in his place.

"Y/N, here!", Huening Kai called out as soon he spotted you from their seats in the back.

Which was a very big mistake of his.

The reason is the two person behind their seats. Your dad is standing there, his head snapping around to search after hearing the call of your name. But how dare he have that look in his face, a look of longing for his daughter?

If the other one is beside him now.

"Y/N, come on, the ceremony is starting now!", Jay called out this time, not aware of your body getting rigid at your place beside the entrance.

Because they keep calling your name in repeat, the other daughter of your dad who was two years older from what your mom knows, turns to your direction.

You don't know what to make of her from this distance.

She certainly got the looks of her mom with the cat eyes and she was pretty, you could say that, her hair have a hot pink highlight in the left, but she still managed to look elegant in her simple dress.

"Y/N!", Jake and Sunghoon called out again, but you can't even look at them.

Not with your eyes never leaving your half sister's face before she did something that makes you dash out of there.

"Is that her, dad? I want to talk to her if it's okay with her", she said it with a smile.

The smile you will never give to her in return.

It may not be her fault or anything, but the truth is still out there, she must be the biggest person you were jealous of the most.

You were jealous because they were the first family before your dad goes to your mother and in the end, they still won over his affection.

You were jealous because she can smile like that without showing any kind of extreme loathing at the thought of you.

Why does she even looks excited to meet you? What would she say if you were to admit you spend the better part of your life hating her and her mother?

This was all too much, too much that the growing feelings of hate for yourself is returning.

And just like that, you only stopped running once you slipped passed by the line of booths, feeling more lonelier at the festivity around the air, and you were there near the dorms, hiding yourself behind a wall.

Before you could cry it out, someone reached out to pull you towards him and hugged you tight in his comfort. The smells alone tells you it's Jay.

With your arms going around his neck, you held him just as tightly, taking in the feeling of his warmth against yours, and the realization that for once, you knew there will be someone to run to, for when you need a friend.

You pushed away from him when you thought you were ready to let go. The two of you parted slowly and he smiled in blatant relief, to see you only crying a bit.

"So tell me now, is the dad you were saying is Mr. Hwang?", Jay asked quietly, bringing his fingers up to gently trace over the moist of tears in your cheeks.

You wouldn't know as how he got it because it's impossible for something not to happen after you leave the auditorium.

"Sadly, he is", you found yourself mumbling, voice wobbling slightly as his eyes widen, as if in a realization.

What kind of realization was, you have no an inkling. All you figure out is, Hwang family must be familiar to them in the world of the elite families.

"Hwang Yeji is your sister?", he speak it out gently and you shook yourself out of his hold, steadying your breath.

According to your mom, there is another child of your dad, a male heir to all his businesses. Whoever he is, you don't care of him either.

What you should care is all about the plans of your dad about his childrens.

"Do you know how connected they are to Sunghoon's family?", Jay blurted out of nowhere, making you look back at him.

"What do you mean?", you can only ask, not really that curious when you should be.

"They are business partners, so whatever my dad is telling they will be announcing this year, it would be likely to have something to do with you as well"

There was no way that you would agree to whatever  the announcement is for no reason.

Just because there's a possibility he's seeking you out, doesn't mean that you don't have it in you to run.

You will run at every chances you have from that kind of responsibility even if it will be connected to Sunghoon.
