Rory and Scott were seated at a small table in their shared dorm room, grading papers from their respective classes. The late afternoon sun cast a warm, golden glow over the room, making the atmosphere unusually serene. Despite the peaceful setting, the recent news of Logan's departure was a topic that weighed heavily on Rory's mind.

Scott was focused on his stack of papers, his expression uncharacteristically relaxed. He'd taken the news of Logan leaving quite wellโ€”almost too well, Rory thought. She could see the faintest hint of a smile on his lips as he scribbled notes on a student's assignment. It was clear that, despite their differences, he felt a certain relief now that Logan was leaving. The tension between them had been palpable lately, and Scott seemed to be enjoying the prospect of some peace and quiet.

Rory, on the other hand, was preoccupied with the news in a different way. She admired Logan's bravery in leaving, especially after the way he had risked so much during the recent events. But her heart ached for Rogue, who had grown close to Logan and would now have to face his departure. The young mutant had been through so much, and Rory wished she could do more to ease her pain.

As Rory shuffled through a stack of papers, she sighed deeply. "I can't believe Logan's actually leaving. It seems so sudden."

Scott glanced up from his grading, his eyes meeting hers with a look of mild amusement. "Yeah, well, you know Logan. He's always doing his own thing. I guess he finally decided it was time to move on."

Rory raised an eyebrow, clearly taken aback by Scott's nonchalant attitude. "You're really not bothered by it? I mean, he's been a big part of our lives for the past few days."

Scott shrugged, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Honestly, I think it's for the best. It's been a bit tense around here lately, and with him gone, maybe we can finally have some peace. Plus, it's not like we were getting along like old buddies or anything."

Rory shook her head, a mix of frustration and sympathy in her eyes. "I just feel bad for Rogue. She's so young, and now she's losing someone she looks up to. I hope she's going to be okay."

Scott's expression softened slightly at the mention of Rogue. "Yeah, I hope she'll be alright too. But it's not like we can force people to stay where they don't want to be. Logan made his choice, and now we have to support Rogue and be there for her."

Rory nodded, appreciating Scott's perspective even though she couldn't completely shake her concern. "You're right. We'll make sure she knows she's not alone."

A sudden thought crossed Rory's mind, and she looked at Scott with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Hey, do you remember that old motorcycle of yours? The one that's been sitting in the garage?"

Scott raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Yeah, why?"

"How about we go for a ride? I could use a break from grading, and it might be fun to just get out of here for a bit. What do you say?"

Scott's face brightened, a genuine smile spreading across his features. "I thought you'd never ask. Let's go."

The two of them exchanged excited glances and quickly gathered their things. Rory grabbed her jacket, and Scott pulled on his leather jacket, his eyes twinkling with anticipation. They crept out of the dorm room, trying to stay as quiet as possible as they made their way down the hallways. Their shared excitement made their steps light and hurried.

As they approached the garage, Rory was practically bubbling with laughter. "I can't believe we're actually doing this."

Scott grinned, holding up a finger to his lips in a playful shushing gesture. "Quiet, or we'll get caught."

They reached the garage door, and Scott fumbled with the keys, his excitement evident. But when he finally opened the door, his face fell. The motorcycle was nowhere to be seen.

Scott stared at the empty space where the motorcycle should have been, a look of disbelief on his face. "That son of a bitch stole it again," he muttered, a mix of frustration and resignation in his voice.

Rory, unable to contain her amusement, burst into uncontrollable laughter. "I can't believe it! Even when he's leaving he still finds a way to get at you!"

Scott chuckled, shaking his head in exasperation. "Well, that's just perfect. I guess we'll have to come up with a different plan."

Rory took in his angered expression. She smirked to herself before running her hand up his neck.

"Is that so? Well, I'm sure we could come up with quite a few."

Scott caught on quickly, quirking his brow. "Oh really?"

"Of course, but there's one catch," Rory said while looking seemingly interested in her nails.

"Anything," Scott says as he runs his hands down her sides.

Rory smirked once more, standing on her toes to whisper in his ear, "You'll have to catch me first."

She quickly escaped his hold and ran for the door, her heels snapping on the marble as she got farther away.

"Oh no you don't," Scott said as he braced himself to sprint after her. The echo of her laughter filling the halls.
