Scott awoke to the sound of Rory's cheerful voice filling the room, her excitement practically vibrating off the walls. "Hi, Scott!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "You ready for the birthday I have planned for you?"

He smiled at her, warmth flooding his chest. "When am I ever?" he teased.

Rory grinned back, her enthusiasm contagious. She ushered him toward the bathroom, her hands gently pushing him along. "Go on, get ready!" she urged with a playful wink.

When Scott emerged from the bathroom, looking fresh and intrigued, Rory stood before him with a blindfold in hand. He quirked an eyebrow, amusement tugging at the corners of his mouth.

She laughed softly, stepping closer and whispering in his ear, "It's top secret."

With careful hands, she tied the blindfold around his eyes, ensuring it was snug but comfortable. Taking his hand, she led him down the stairs, guiding him with gentle tugs and playful instructions. As they reached the garage, she helped him into the passenger seat of a car.

"Rory," Scott said, feeling the familiar contours of the seat, "is this my car?"

"Uh, no. What would make you think that?" she replied with a giggle, the smirk on her face almost audible in her voice.

He chuckled, shaking his head, the mystery adding to his anticipation. They drove for what felt like an eternity, the suspense only building with each passing mile. Finally, the car came to a stop, and Rory turned off the engine.

"Okay," she said, excitement bubbling in her tone, "you can open your eyes now."

Scott fumbled with the blindfold, struggling to pull it off until Rory leaned over, her breath warm against his neck as she helped him loosen the knot. As the blindfold slipped away, he blinked in surprise.

"Surprise!" Rory announced, her voice filled with pride.

They were at a classic 70's drive-in movie theater, the giant screen already glowing with the warm hues of an old film reel. The nostalgia hit him instantly, memories of a simpler time flooding back. Scott turned to Rory, his heart swelling with affection.

They spent hours there, nestled in the car with the windows down, sharing popcorn and stealing glances at one another between scenes. The night air was crisp, and the atmosphere around them was serene, punctuated only by the soft hum of the movie.

As the final credits rolled, Rory turned to him with a gleam in her eyes. "I have one more surprise," she said, pulling out the blindfold again.

"Really?" Scott groaned playfully. "This again?"

Rory just laughed, shaking her head. "It's not a surprise if you know where you're going." She tied the blindfold around his eyes once more, securing it just as snugly as before.

After a short drive, the car came to a halt, and Scott could feel the anticipation in the air as Rory led him out of the vehicle. When she finally removed the blindfold, Scott was greeted by the sight of a familiar placeโ€”the small, intimate bank where they had shared their first date.

But tonight, it was transformed. The area was adorned with fairy lights that twinkled like stars, and a small table was set up, draped in a white cloth and covered with an array of delicate sweets. At the center were two cupcakes, each topped with a single candle.

Rory guided him to sit next to her, pulling out a match with a mischievous smile. She lit the candle on his cupcake and, with a soft, sweet voice, began to sing "Happy Birthday" to him. Her voice was like a warm embrace, wrapping around him in the cool night air.

"Happy birthday, Scotty," she whispered when she finished, her eyes locking with his.

They shared the cupcakes, the simplicity of the moment making it all the more special. Afterward, Rory picked up a strawberry and teasingly placed it in Scott's mouth. He grinned as he bit into the juicy fruit, savoring the sweetness.

Noticing a smudge of chocolate on his lips, Rory reached up instinctively to wipe it away. But before she could, Scott caught her hand, his grip gentle yet firm. He held her gaze, the world around them fading as he slowly pulled her closer by the small of her back.

Their lips met in a tender kiss, a fusion of passion and affection. The kiss deepened, the warmth between them growing as they melted into each other, lost in the moment. Rory's hand found its way to his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart as it echoed the rhythm of her own.

When they finally pulled away, breathless and content, Scott rested his forehead against hers, his voice a hushed whisper. "Thank you, Rory. For everything."

The kiss lingered in the air between them, a tender connection that neither wanted to break. Scott held Rory close, feeling the gentle rise and fall of her breath against his chest. The night was quiet around them, the only sounds the soft rustling of leaves and the distant hum of the city.

Rory nestled into his embrace, her head resting on his shoulder as she soaked in the moment. "This was perfect," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I wanted today to be special for you."

Scott's fingers traced small circles on her back, his heart full of gratitude and love. "It was more than perfect," he replied, his voice rich with emotion. "You always know how to make everything better."

They stayed like that for a while, wrapped up in each other as the night deepened. The stars overhead twinkled like tiny diamonds, casting a soft glow over the scene. Rory tilted her head up, looking at Scott with a playful glint in her eyes.

"So," she said, breaking the comfortable silence, "what did you think of the movie?"

Scott chuckled, the sound low and warm. "It was great. But I think I was a little distracted." He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "Hard to focus on anything else when you're around."

Rory laughed, a light, musical sound that made Scott's heart skip a beat. "Flattery will get you everywhere, Summers," she teased, her eyes sparkling.

Scott smiled, pulling her even closer. "Good," he murmured against her hair. "Because there's nowhere else I'd rather be."

They eventually got up, Rory still holding onto Scott's hand as they made their way back to the car. The drive back was quiet, a comfortable silence filled with the unspoken words between them. The city lights passed by in a blur, but all Scott could focus on was the woman sitting beside him, her presence a constant comfort.

When they arrived back at the mansion, Scott parked the car and turned to Rory with a gentle smile. "Thank you for tonight," he said, his voice soft. "I'll never forget it."

Rory squeezed his hand, her eyes full of affection. "Neither will I," she replied, leaning in to place a quick kiss on his lips before slipping out of the car.

As they walked toward the entrance, the night air cool against their skin, they were greeted by the sight of Logan leaning casually against the doorframe, his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes narrowed slightly as he took in the sight of them together.

Scott and Rory exchanged a glance, both a little surprised to see him waiting. Logan's usual gruff demeanor was softened by something almost resembling a smile, though it was hard to tell in the dim light.

"Nice to see you guys back." Logan murmured, "Oh, and Summers."

Scott hummed in acknowledgment, "Happy Birthday."
