ELIZA SAT IN THE BACKSEAT OF THE CAR AS IT WENT DOWN A FAMILIAR STREET. The car moved at a calm speed, now slowing down to go over a speed bump before it starts to get back to the normal speed.
Eliza sat behind the driver's seat as she looked out the window and watched as buildings and such moved as if they were moving too. She watched as women walked the streets, people were holding their child's hands as they walked across the street, and cars moved passed them.
The car made many turns, but Eliza didn't have any motivation to pay attention. All she knew was that they were heading to Elliots and that once they got there—she wouldn't see him.
She had asked Five what happened once they got to the car, and he explained what happened and the horrid way he died. But it still was horrid to hear. Though she didn't know Elliot well, she felt bad that he died because of the family she was with.
The car pulled in front of Morty's and stopped as soon as Luther pressed his foot softly onto the brake. Luther sighed as he put the car in park and removed his seat belt—as did Five. The two brothers waited for another similar sound to come from the back, but all they heard was silence.
They looked at each other before turning around to see the three back seats bear with no one in them. The seatbelt on the car's right was missing and they could hear faint breathing as well.
"Elliana, we're here," Luther spoke which caused the girl to look towards the two men who were staring at her and nod her head, now unbuckling her seatbelt before pulling the door handle and getting out, closing the door behind her.
Just as she was about to go inside, Five called out, "You know you're invisible, right?"
Elliana turned back around and then made herself visible. "Right. Happens sometimes if I focus too hard on things or zone out. I'm good now." She made her way inside.
She went through the front glass door and walked inside to the front room to see her bag now hung up on the end of the stair railing and Cutie gone. She heard distant talking from the top of the stairwell so that's where she made her voyage.
As she heard Luther and Five come in behind her, she now reached the top to see Diego, Vanya, and Allison either lying, sitting, or sleeping on a chair or one of the couches.
Allison sat on a soft chair and in front of her was a bottle of champagne along with some glasses that had been drank from.
Moving alongside to the right of the room, Vanya sat sluggishly on a long chair as she had her hands on her stomach and her hair was a mess.
Lastly, Diego laid on the couch that he had previously laid on when Lila was stitching him up when he got shanked by Hargreeves. He had a blanket on top of his body and his left arm fell off the side of the couch. His mouth was wide open, letting out soft snores and on his stomach, lay her rabbit: Cutie.
The animal was curled in a ball as she quietly slept a good sleep. She looked as if she was sleeping for a long time. Her tutu was only moved backward as if she had rolled around on her back.
Elliana looked back over to the noise of something being moved and turned to view Allison who was reaching for her glass and the alcohol that was beside it. That's when Elliana noticed the faint stain of blood below her nose.
"Allison." The woman then looked at the girl. "You've got a little somethin' there—" she motioned to her nose and Allison took that time to wipe the blood off with her finger.
"I'll grab you a tissue," Vanya said as she was about to get up from her spot.
"I got it," Elliana stepped forward. She went into the kitchen.
"You guys look like shit," said Five to the two who were awake.
"Thanks. You, no less," responded Allison as she filled her glass. Five sighed as he at the end of the couch Diego laid in. He rested his back and let out a yawn as cracked his neck.
Elliana walked back into the area. "Here," she said as she handed Allison the napkin.
The woman reached forward and grabbed it, sighing as she leaned back on the chair and placed it under her nostril. "Thanks, sis," said Allison softly before closing her eyes.
"I—" Elliana stopped herself before she could say anything. She sighed and a small smile came upon her face. "No problem." She ventured back into the kitchen.
"Hey, Ana," Mace called her, so she popped her head around and looked at him. "Could you make me visible for a bit?"
She gave a confused look. "Why?"
"Just wanna talk to Five," he said with a smirk.
She gave a dead look. "Alright," she agreed before taking a deep breath, closing her eyes, and focusing on her touching and seeing Mace "alive".
The blue glow started showing in her hands again as Mace started to glow blue also. He started to glow the color before going back to his normal light-skinned tone.
"That's all?" She asked him.
"Yeah, now leave me alone," pestered the boy. Elliana chuckled before leaving. By the time Mace looked over to Five, he jerked his head up.
"I have concluded that I now see dead people," he commented before leaving the sitting area.
Mace scoffed. "I didn't even get to use my pick-up line let!"
Vanya turned to him and chuckled. "Alright then, let me hear it."
Mace turned to her: "Okay. Are you a parking ticket because you've got fine written all over you."
Vanya gave him a blank expression and pressed her lips together.
"No—okay, here's a better one: do you believe in love at first sight—or should I walk by again?"
She gave the same expression.
"Tough crowd. Tough crowd. Fine. Here. "Do you like raisins? How do you feel about a da—"
"Mace! Shut up!" Allison shouted and the boy jumped.
"Shutting up now," he said quickly before scurrying off to find Elliana who was eating a sandwich, she previously made from the ingredients she found in the kitchen.
"So, how'd it go?" She lifted an eyebrow. "Heard Allison yell at you—"
"Shut up."

It was near ten o'clock when everyone was gathered in the living room area. They were talking about what had happened the previous day and the effects it could have from it.
"Shouldn't we have everyone here for this?" Five asked.
"Klaus isn't coming out of the room anytime soon, so we'll just fill him in later, okay?" Vanya said and the others agreed
"So, Vanya almost blew up the capital?" Luther asked.
"Well, technically—"
"Allison, you need to find an unfamiliar word other than technically because it's not helping any of us," said Elliana.
"Well, basically, Mrs. "English Teacher", the capital was torturing Vanya, trying to get answers from her and when she didn't respond, they would shock her, right?" Allison looked at the said girl and she nodded sadly.
"So, when you felt pain, your powers would—well, power up? Act up? Just work itself?"
She nodded. "My powers, I believe, are tied to emotion."
"That makes sense," told Five. "First time you caused the apocalypse was by anger. Towards us."
Elliana looked away from the boy. "Be careful how you use that "us", Five," she said under her breath.
"What was that?" Five asked lifting an eyebrow at the girl.
"Nothin'."
"Sure." He gave a tight-lipped smile.
"Okay, let's start with a plan," blurted Luther.
"What plan?" Diego asked with a groggy voice as he had just woken up.
"Mornin', sleepyhead," announced Allison.
"Mornin', sweetie." Elliana bent down and began to run her fingers through her animal's fur. Cutie gave a big yawn before blinking her eyes at a fast pace, which then slowed down to a normal one. "You slept well, didn't you?" She pets the rabbit's fur.
"Now, what plan we talkin' bout? And why?"
"We need a plan, okay? Because the cops could be looking for any one of us."
"How about we just discuss all this in the morning when everyone is here, well-rested, and has all their brain cells?" asked Elliana. The others looked at each other before agreeing. "Okay, then. Five take the room on the far left, Diego you can stay where you are, Luther the room to the right, Vanya you too, Allison to the left, okay?"
Five nodded and spacial jumped away as the others dispersed to their areas. Elliana sighed as she sat on the chair Vanya previously laid and placed Cutie on top of her. "We will never get a normal day until we're back in 2019, will we?" She looked over to Diego, but he was already asleep.
"Rude," she grumbled before placing Cutie aside and getting up from her seat, grabbing the blanket that fell to the floor beside him and covering him.

"Authorities are asking for help identifying several persons of interest at Dealey Plaza at the time of the assassination. The FBI believes they may have been acting in concert with the alleged shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald," the reporter said as he showed up on many of the T.V screens that were in Elliot's downstairs area.
"Vanya Hargreeves," He showed a photo of Vanya. "wanted in connection with the deaths of several FBI agents inside the federal building at Dealey Plaza." Vanya's breath hitched.
"A Cuban exile known only as Diego—"
"Cuban?" Deigo questioned.
"Who recently escaped from the Holbrook Sanitarium. A bare-knuckle boxer with suspected Mafia ties who fights under the alias "King Kong." Allison Chestnut, a Negro radical responsible for instigating and organizing the recent riots at Stadtler's lunch counter." He showed a photo of Allison.
"That was you?" Elliana turned to her.
"Yeah, looks like it."
Elliana gave a smile as she nodded her head, taking in the information.
"And finally, Klaus, the controversial cult leader, and known tax evader. The FBI is asking the public to be on the lookout for this unidentified boy, who they believe is being held hostage by the suspected terrorist network . . . " He went on.
"Well, it's true," Five spoke up. "I do feel like I'm being held hostage most days."
"God, I hate that photo." Diego groaned.
"They're saying I instigated the riot?" Allison scoffed. "That's unbelievable."
"Look, the good news is that we restored the timeline and we stopped doomsday. So . . . " Luther put forward.
Elliana looked off to the side and back to the T.V to see something in her view. "Wait, wait," she pardoned. She grabbed the remote and turned up the volume to hear the reporter.
"We are also looking for the missing mother and daughter, Elizabeth and Deborah, who have been missing for two days since Nicholas, the husband and father to the two, came home to them not there. As he watched Kennedy yesterday, he came home to the house empty of items the pair owned. If you know anything about their whereabouts, please contact the number on the screen."
Elliana gasped as she turned off the T.V and swallowed thickly. Her breathing began to speed up and everything began to become blurry. She moved to the stairs on her left and gave the remote to Allison before bumping Klaus and made her way to a chair to sit down and collect herself.
"Yeah, a bunch of real goddamn heroes. We let Kennedy die." Diego scoffed.
"Yeah, and now we're officially the most wanted people in the world," confirmed Allison. "The FBI is after us, the Dallas police, the Secret Service."
"It's only a matter of time before they hunt us down here." Luther went forward.
"Well, where are we supposed to go?" asked Vanya.
"I have this yurt just outside Reykjavik," Klaus said as he stumbled forward. "We could totally lay low there. Folks there are a little weird, but lovely."
"Hey, numbnuts," Five interrupted.
"Welcoming . . . "
"Hiding's not gonna make a difference here. The Commission will hunt us down wherever and whenever we go."
"He's right. They'll never stop," agreed Diego which made Five swoop his head over to him.
He tried to conceal his mocking smirk. "I'm sorry, since when are you an expert on the Commission?"
"Since I got back from there," he was quick to snap back.
"What?" Five couldn't believe it.
"Yeah, they headhunted me, offered me a job," Diego explained. By that time, Elliana came back downstairs and stood near Allison. "Full time with benefits, which I had to turn down."
"They headhunted you . . . " he chuckled. "the village idiot." Elliana snickered a small bit.
"What, am I not allowed to be headhunted? Only the almighty Five needs to be in demand?" Diego put up an attitude.
"Diego, you're not Commission material, all right Got an obstinate nature to ya." Five waved a hand.
"I'm dead," said Elliana under her breath.
"Who do you think it was that figured out Vanya was the one that caused doomsday and stopped it? Me."
Klaus spoke up saying, "Hey!" as he didn't approve of what the man said.
"That's who. I figured it all out on the Infinite Switchboard—"
"You were on the Infinite Switchboard?" Five was rapid to ask.
"Hell, yeah," said Diego as he got in Five's face. "I made that machine my bitch. Y'all need to recognize I got shit going on y'all don't even know about."
Elliana perked her head up. "What's that supposed to mean?"
But, like always—she was ignored.
"Oh, sorry. You've got things going on?" Allison asked sarcastically. "This isn't helpful."
"Look, I met the Résistance in their secret lair—"
Elliana chuckled. "Yeah, you're saying Résistance like that for what—?"
"Hush! All right? I went through orientation, and I passed, and I stopped doomsday. I saved the day. Not any of you."
Five began to get annoyed. "Actually, all we remember you doing was running after Hargreeves and taking him down like you were an attacker on a football team."
Diego then shot back: "At least I wasn't busy playing with older myself—"
"Can you dispense with the dick-measuring for five minutes?" called Allison.
"Unless you can literally, 'cause Ben and I—" Klaus was quick to say.
"Klaus! Ew, gross," Elliana disgusted.
"We don't have time for this," Luther stole Five's words. "The Feds could be here any minute."
"That's what I've been saying," said Allison.
"I'm agreeing!"
"Okay," asserted Five. "Calm down, Hairy—"
"Hey," Luther was rapid to speak. "it's King Kong. And I'm sick of your ass, okay?" Five scoffed and moved to the side.
"Yeah, okay, you win," Diego declared. "Guys, we need to move, okay?"
"That is more important here. That is our only option," Luther agreed.
"We need to box those windows and stay here," announced Diego.
Vanya came down the stairs. "I'm leaving," she said which caused everyone to go silent.
"Well that plan was thrown out the window," Elliana spoke under her breath.
"What? To go where?" Luther looked at her.
"Sissy's farm. Something's wrong with Harlan, and I need to help him."
"Vanya—" Five came forward calmly. "We need to stick together, okay? Now more than ever."
She nodded as she understood. "That's why I'm telling you this. Whatever's going on with Harlan, I think I might've caused it."
"How?"
She sighed. "He drowned, and, uh, somehow I was able to bring him back to life. And now it's like we're connected."
"With . . . y—you're powers?" Elliana queried.
"I believe so." nodded Vanya.
"Wh—What does that even mean?" Luther asked.
"I don't know. I can't explain, but . . . I know that he needs my help." She sighed softly. "I need your help, too. I'm scared. And for the first time in my life, I don't wanna do it alone." She shook her head lightly. "I want my family by my side."
Everyone ran quiet: taking in the information.
"Look, I'm sorry." Diego gave a sad look. "We have other priorities right now."
"Diego's right," Five implied. "For once. We need to make our stand here and now."
"Okay." She nodded in despair. "I guess I'll see you when I see you."
She made her way to the back door. Once she made it to the alleyway, she had her keys at the ready as she unlocked the driver's side door and got in. Once she was in, she started the car and was about to leave when the passenger door—scaring her in the process, opened and Klaus jumped in.
"So, so, so—" he settled himself. "Ben, huh? Gone forever. Isn't he?"
"He traded his life for mine . . . while he saved the world in the process," she informed.
"Pfft. Show-off." He looked off to the side. "But did he . . . say anything about . . ." He put hair behind his ear. "Me?"
She took a moment before speaking. "He wanted me to tell you that he was too scared to go to the light. It wasn't you that made him stay."
Klaus chuckled. "Oh, that little shit-heel." He scoffed softly as he put in a small smile. "All these years, and I thought it was my fault that he didn't take his ticket to heaven."
Vanya laughed. "Look, I'm sorry, but . . . you should get out, 'cause I need to—"
Klaus shakes his head. "Oh, no, I'm coming with you. I can't let you face the unknown alone, right?"
The back seat and passenger doors opened, and Elliana, Cutie, Diego, and Allison got in. "Got room for four more?" asked Allison.
"What about the Commission?" Vanya looked at Diego.
"Well, might as well do some good before we die horribly." He smiled.
"Whoo-hoo!" Klaus cheered and Elliana smiled.
The passenger door opened, scaring Klaus and Elliana in the process. "Oh!"
"Five, you—you don't have to . . ." Vanya started.
"I know. You owe me one, sis." Five looked at Elliana. "Children ride in the back."
"Who said that?" She quirked her head to the side. "Last I checked, I'm older than you."
Klaus chuckled. "Okay." He moved into the backseat, fully butt smacking Elliana as well as Diego.
"Whoa! Oh, Christ," Allison let out as Diego grunted.
"Here," Elliana scooted over and patted the open spot next to her. "Come sit with the older one and her cute rabbit." Five rolled his eyes before getting in and looking behind him at his other siblings.
"Guys, I don't know what to say."
The trunk opened, squeaking, and creaking loudly as Luther tried to force himself in. As he fully got in, the back of the car fell to the ground, and everyone tried to keep in their laughs.
As he finally closed the trunk door, he turned forward with a stern look: "Anyone makes a fat joke, and I'm outta here."
Everyone nodded and Vanya turned forward, putting the car in drive before driving off to Sissy's.
